Abstract

Background. Hypercholesterolemia is increased levels of total cholesterol in the blood that exceeds normal levels (more than 200 mg/dl). According to the Health Survey Households in 2004, the prevalence of Hypercholesterolemia in Indonesia at age 25-34 years amounting to 9.3%, whereas at ages 55-64 years amounted to 15.5%. Uncontrolled consumption of fats is one of the causes of Hypercholesterolemia. Knowledge of nutrition is a very important factor in determining a person's behaviorand attitude towards food, the higher the nutritional knowledge then it would increasingly take into account the type and amount of food consumed by a person. Research Methods. This research is Observational Analytic study, in terms of time is Crossectional study objectives, are all members of the Persadia Mataram that active following activities in Mataram Persadia meets the criteria, the research was obtained on the number of samples 34 people. To know the relation of free variables and bound variables was done using test bivariat analysis of rank spearman with the level of significance of 5%. Research Result. The sample in this research 70.6% aged >60 years, 76.5% occur in women, 38.2% work as pensioners, 55.9% college educated, 67.6% hypercholesterolemia diagnosed with diabetes complications, 58.8% of the sample of cholesterol-lowering drugs and 35.2% with diagnosed 5-10 years old. Based on the results of statistical tests known value of P are respectively 0.233 and 0.591 (P> 0.05), meaning that there is no relationship of knowledge about food sources of fat with fat consumption levels and total cholesterol levels. Conclusion. There is no relationship of knowledge about food sources of fat with fat consumption level, and no fat consumption level of relationship with total cholesterol levels.

Abstract

Background. Dyslipidemia is defined as an abnormality of lipid metabolism which is characterized by an increase or decrease in the main lipid fractions, namely an increase in total cholesterol, Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, triglycerides, and a decrease in plasma High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol. Lycopene is one of the antioxidants that can affect lipid profiles. Research Methods. This research is a Pre-experimental research design pretest and posttest design. The subjects of this study were men and women aged ≥45 years with 8 people with LDL cholesterol levels> 100 mg / dl. Data were tested using the Paired T Test to determine the effect of decreasing LDL cholesterol levels before and after tomato juice administration (p = 0,000). Research Result. There was an average decrease of 20 mg / dl on LDL cholesterol levels before and after administration of tomato juice. Conclusion. There was a significant effect on the reduction of LDL cholesterol before and after being given an intervention in the form of tomato juice.

Abstract

Background. On the post digestive surgery patients is has increased metabolic stress as indicated by the increase in energy and protein demand. The feeding for post digestive surgery patients note either through enteral, parenteral and oral combination so that food intake can be given correctly. Research Methods. This study used obeservasional descriptive. The sampling used purposive sampling. Research Result. The all of sample in this research is man which aged over 40 years with hernia inguital lateralis diagnosis and the length of stay postoperative is 3 days. The average of patients intake is 75%, protein 69%, vitamin C 26,33% and kalium 125,3%. The parenteral food that provide to all of sample is ecosol RL infuse as 1000 cc which given when the sample finished the operation. Conclusion. The contribution of energy, protein dan vitamin C only obtained by oral, while the parenteral food is give the contribution of kalium intake as 102,56%.

Abstract

Background. At the age of pre-school children entered the phase of negavistik i.e. children to refuse food offered, as a result of the child will behave deviate. This study to find out the description of the behaviour of pre-school age children eat in the village of Mangkung sub-district of Praya Barat. Research Methods. Examination is a descriptive observational. This research was conducted in the village of Mangkung sub-district of Praya Barat by way of free variables and bound variables obtained through observation, measurement, recording and analysis of data. Research Result. Results from the research conducted that could result with the behavior of feeding, nutritional status and consumption pre school aged children. Eating behavior level samples that belonged to good 27 people with persentage 40 .9 good nutrient that is 61 status with persentage 92,4 people and levels of consumption of the protein that has the above protein samples adequacy of as many as 60 people (90.9) and the level of energy consumption samples that have energy above the adequacy of as many as 36 people (54.5). Conclusion. Ari results research conducted that may be known to the behavior of eating and nutritional status of pre school age children in the village of Mangkung sub-district of Praya Barat central of Lombok

Abstract

Background. Hypertension can be a risk factor for stroke, coronary heart disease, heart failure and kidney failure and is known as the thesilent killer. The prevalence of hypertension in West Nusa Tenggara Province is 24.3% (Riskesdas, 2013). Medical Record Data of Mataram City Public Hospital, hypertension became the first of the top 10 outpatient diseases in 2015. The only treatment for non-pharmacological hypertension was by increasing fruit and vegetable consumption due to high potassium content. Research Methods. The type of this research is experimentation with Randomized Control Trial (RCT) design with Pretest-Posttest with Control Group design. The number of subjects is 20 people obtained from the formula Lemeshow (1997). Both groups continued to take antihypertensive drugs, but the treatment group was given 250 ml of starfruit juice and cucumber juice for 7 days. The statistical analysis used was the paired t-test and independent t-test. Research Result. The average blood pressure before the study in the treatment group was 150/91 mmHg, in the control group it was 142/83 mmHg. The average blood pressure after the study for the treatment group was 132/81 mmHg, while the control group was 144/81 mmHg. There was a decrease in blood pressure in the treatment group after the intervention was 18 mmHg for systolic (p = 0.000) and 10 mmHg for diastolic (p = 0.004), but there was no decrease in blood pressure both systolic and diastolic in the control group. Conclusion. Giving a mixture of star fruit and cucumber juice affects the decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

Abstract

Background. Iodine Deficiency Disorder (IDD) is still a nutritional problem in Indonesia, Riskesdas (2007) reached 62.3% of IDD problem. Seaweed especially rich in essential nutrients iodine. In an effort to diversify the use of seaweed can be made into a semi-moist food is seaweed dodol. Dodol semi-moist food is greenish white and supple. Research Methods. The study design using completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor, namely the addition of seaweed porridge with 3-level experiments. To analyze the characteristic organoleptic properties were analyzed using Analysis Of Variance (One Way ANOVA) at the 95% confidence level (α0.05) followed by Tukey test. Research Result. The addition of seaweed porridge did not significantly affect the color, flavor, and texture seaweed dodol (p>0.05), but significantly affected the smell of seaweed dodol (p<0.05). Dodol with t3 treatment has a smell that is most preferred by 3.76 scale (rather like approaching the like), and for the parameters of color, flavor and texture in the treatment of t3 in the category rather like approaching like. The addition of seaweed porridge has a significant effect on the iodine content seaweed dodol (p<0.05). Conclusion. The addition of seaweed porridge did not significantly affect the color, flavor, and texture seaweed  dodol  (p>0.05),  but  significantly affected  the  smell  and  iodine  content  of  seaweed  dodol (p<0.05).

Abstract

Background. One problem that is often encountered in pregnancy which is one of the factors in the high maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is anemia. Based on data from the Mataram City Health Office, it is known that the prevalence of anemic pregnant women has increased in September 2016 the prevalence of anemic pregnant women is 6.11%. Pejeruk Health Center which shows the highest prevalence of anemia in pregnant women in the city of Mataram by 27.08%. Research Methods. The research design used was Quasi Experimental with research design, namely Non Equivalent Control Group (Pretest and Posttest) with a study sample of 21 pregnant women who had anemia in the second trimester. How to take samples in this study by using Total Samples. The data analysis used was the Independent T-test to see the differences from the 2 groups, and to see the effect of nutritional counseling on knowledge and consumption using a statistical test in the form of a Paired T-Test with (p = <0.05). Research Result. The results showed that there was an effect of providing nutritional counseling on increasing knowledge and consumption of nutrients, namely Energy and Protein p = <0.005) and there was no effect of increasing iron (Fe) consumption (p => 0.005) Conclusion. The influence of giving nutritional counseling on increasing the knowledge and consumption of nutrients for anemia pregnant women in the pujeruk health center area

Abstract

Background. Coronary Heart Disease is a disease caused by narrowing of the arteries due to atherosclerosis or koroneria spasm or both. Result Health Research (RISKESDAS) in 2013 showed the prevalence of coronary heart disease nation wide reached 1,5%. Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) province is one  of  the  province  where  the  prevalence  of  coronary  heart  disease  is  higher  than  the  national prevalence rate, which at 2,1%. Research Methods. This  is  an  observasional  study.  Population,  all  outpatients  in  hospitals  Kota  Mataram experiencing coronary heart diseasesince the month of January-October 2015 as many as 83 people. Sampel, number of samples is 40, data collected in the form of data sample characteristics include age, gender, level of education, nutritional status, long-suffering CHD, LDL levels and data consumption fats, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C and Vitamin E samples. Research Result. The results showed the level of fat consumption the most categories in the above categories, namely the needsof 21 people ( 52,5%). Highest level of carbohydrate consumption that the deficit category as many as 36 people ( 90,0%). The level of fiber consumption at no more than the deficit category as many as 34 people (85,0%). The level of consumption of vitamin A in the category of needs as many as 40 people (100,0%). The level of consumption of vitamin C category deficits as many as 25 people (62,5%). The level of consumption of vitamin E most of the above categories, namely needs 19 people (47,5%) Conclusion. The consumption level entry, vitamin E and vitamin A in the category above needs, while the level of consumption of carbohydrates, fiber and vitamin C samples are in the deficit category

Abstract

Background. The organization of food is one form of hospital nutrition service. The success of the food system can be attributed to food scraps. The rest of the patient's food causes the missing costs and impacts on the budget used. Research Methods. The organization of food is one form of hospital nutrition service. The success of the food system can be attributed to food scraps. The rest of the patient's food causes the missing costs and impacts on the budget used. Research Result. The results of this study show the results of multiple regression logistic tests that have a significant value of 0.068 (p> 0.05). This means that there is no influence of age, sex, type of illness and taste of food against the cost of missing ordinary food scraps. Conclusion. Age, sex, disease type and food taste assessment contribute 13.2% to the lost cost of food scraps.

Abstract

Background. The high leftovers in a hospital in result due to low patient acceptability . The low patient acceptability can be attributed to several factors other conduction of external factors and internal factors . External factors consist of food appearance and internal factors consist of appetite , eating habits , boredom , and the food from the outside. Research Methods. This study design using observational research is descriptive , based on time in terms of research using crossecectional approach , the target of this study is that patients who receive regular food menu in Provisinsi Mataram General Hospital who had been hospitalized at least 2 days . Samples were obtained as many as 27 samples. Research Result. the received power of regular meals judged on appearance ( color and texture ) food menu is still in the unattractive category because of the 5 -day menu shows the average percentage of less than 60 % . : the received power of regular meals judged on taste ( flavor and aroma ) food menu is still in the category of unattractive because of menu 5 days showed an average percentage of less than 60 %. Conclusion. The receive power to the appearance and the food taste in breakfast, lunch and dinner either from the first menu to the fifth menu still in the poor category because it is still less than 60 % .
