Abstract

Background. Hypertension or high blood pressure is an increase in systolic blood pressure equal to or greater than 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure is equal to or greater than 90 mmHg. Hypertension often occurs in elderly considering almost most of the function of the organs began to decline with age. Cucumber and coconut water contain high enough potassium which can help lower blood pressure. Combination of juice of young coconut cucumber water can increase potassium input in the body so it can lower blood pressure, especially in elderly group.  Research Purposes. This study aims to determine the effect of young coconut water cucumber juice on the decrease in hypertensive blood pressure at the Social Institution Tresna Werdha "Puspakarma" Mataram. Research Methods. Quasy-experimental research type with Non Equivalent Control Group design. Sample in this research is hypertensive elder counted 30 people with technique of total sampling type. The data collected are data of identity of sample which include age, sex, weight and height data to know the nutritional status of sample, history of hypertension disease in family, smoking habit, coffee consumption, alcohol consumption, antihypertensive drug consumption, physical activity, intake data Nutrients (fat, carbohydrate, potassium, sodium and fiber), as well as data on blood pressure test both systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure before and after treatment with average juice of young coconut cucumber of ± 200 ml with frequency one time Day for five days treatment. Research Result. The results showed a decrease in systolic blood pressure of 9.33 mmHg (p = 0,000) and diastolic blood pressure of 3 mmHg (p = 0.055). Conclusion. The conclusion is that there is an effect on systolic blood pressure but no effect on diastolic blood pressure before and after given coconut water cucumber juice.

Abstract

Background. The elderly are groups of people who are undergoing a change. In the elderly tere is a decrease in the form of weakness. Decreased immune system and changes in organ function. Abnormalities due to changes in the gastrointestinal system result in a disorder that is constipation. Social House Tresna Werdha Puspakarma Mataram  found elderly constipation. Research Purposes. The purpose of this study were to determine te effect of fluid constipastion and the influence  of guava juice and tomato juice  to the elderly  who experienced constipastion. Research Methods. Method was analytical with design “Quasy Experiment” with research design non equevalen control group. The number of subjects in the study were 30 people. Research Result. Based on the results of research conducted showed that the average fluid consumed by all elderly were in the category of less thet was 1500 ml. The intervention group was significantly influenced by the average value of  P < 0,05. Whereas in the control group there was no effect with the mean value P > 0,05. The results of the study of 15 people wo were given guava juice and tomato most of the respondents Decreased incidence of constipation as many as 14 people (93,3%) decreased constipation. In the control group with a sampel of 15 people, the number of constipated elderly were 13 people (86,6%). With the result of analysis there was a significant influence between guava juice and tomato juice with constipation with P < 0,005. Conclusion. There is a gift efeect guava juice and tomato juice against the constipated elderly in Social House Tresna Werdha Puspakarma Mataram.

Abstract

Background. Development in Indonesia is basically shown to improve the welfare and security of all Indonesian people. The right of Indonesian citizens to improve their quality of life is the Human Rights (HAM) guaranteed by the Constitution. Giving complementary food for breastmilk that is too early can cause diarrhea so that the weight decreases. One effort to overcome malnutrition is by increasing one's knowledge, attitudes and actions by conducting nutritional counseling. Based on the results of monitoring the nutritional status of West Lombok in 2015, the highest indicator of underweight under-five children in Gunungsari sub-district was 19.80% with the highest BGM cases in the village of Sesela in the Gunungsari Community Health Center as many as 25 children. Research Purposes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of nutritional counseling on the actions of women in the provision of MP-ASI and underweight children under five 6-24 months in the Sesela Village of the Gunungsari Community Health Center Working Area. Research Methods. This type of research uses quasi experiment design. The independent variables in this study were nutrition counseling and the dependent variable was maternal action and toddler weight. The sample in this study is toddlers aged 6-24 months by means of nonprobility sampling which means that all populations are sampled. This research took place in January to February 2017. Research Result. Based on the results of statistical tests using the Wilconxon test with the results of the value p = 0.00 <0.05, it can be concluded that there was a significant effect between maternal actions before and after nutritional counseling and the Mann-Whitney Test with p = 0.01 <0.05, it can be concluded that significant between mother's actions towards toddler weight. Conclusion. There is an influence of nutritional counseling on the actions of mothers and toddlers' weight.

Abstract

Background. Basic Health Research in 2007 showed the prevalence Behave Properly In Hand Wash in Indonesia is 23.2%. NTB included into the 15 provinces below the national prevalence of only 14.2% of the population NTB that behaves properly in hand washing. In addition, the prevalence of physical activity to in Indonesia, namely 48.2%, and in the prevalence of physical inactivity NTB higher at 48.8%. Riskesdas data in 2013 showed that an increase in food consumption habits on society salty ≥10 years from 24.5% in 2007 increased to 26.2% in 2013. While the prevalence of data about fruit and vegetable consumption in the population aged 10 years up by 93.6% in 2007 and no significant change in 2013. To address the nutrition problems, need to be socialized balanced nutrition guidelines that can be used as guidelines for eating, physical activity, hygiene and maintain a normal weight. Research Methods. This study aims to determine the application of the guidelines in the Village Babakan balanced nutrition. This research was conducted with a descriptive observational research with a sample of 84 people. Data collected in the form of respondents age, education level of respondents and implementation of balanced nutrition guidelines in daily life. Research Result. Respondents who have aged <20 years 1 person, 20-35 years of age 63 and age> 35 years 20. Respondents who were taking education at most that 72.6% of Primary Education, Higher Education and at least 4.8%. The first pillar balanced nutrition applied by 44 of the respondents (52.4%), the second pillar of balanced nutrition applied by 50 of the respondents (59.5%) and no respondents are implementing the third and fourth pillars. 25% of respondents who apply pillars, namely 40 respondents, and applying 50% of respondents pillars 27 and 17 respondents did not apply pillars of balanced nutrition. Conclusion. The higher the educational level the application of the guidelines tend to be more well-balanced nutrition.

Abstract

Background. Steps to reduce the symptoms of autism sufferers is one of them is diet diversion. Mothers are the main actors in the family in the decision making process, especially those related to food consumption. By having knowledge of nutrition, especially nutrition needed for children with autism, mothers can develop a pattern of good food consumption for children with autism. Pocket books are one of the media that can be used in providing nutrition education, which is a medium for conveying health messages in the form of books, both in the form of writing and drawing. Research Purposes. To find out the Effect of Nutrition Education through a Pocket Book on the Autism Child Diet on Mother's Knowledge in Extraordinary Schools in the City of Mataram. Research Methods. Pre-experimental research design with the design form of one group pretest posttest design for all autistic students in the Mataram School of Special Assessor. The research sample was 29 people. Interventions in the form of providing nutrition education through a pocket book on the diet of children with autism. The instruments used were questionnaires and pocket books. Data analysis used is univariate and bivariate. Research Result. The results showed that before giving nutrition education through pocket books, most respondents had a level of knowledge in the less category as many as 26 respondents (89.7%). after being given nutrition education through a pocket book most respondents had a level of knowledge in the moderate category as many as 18 respondents (62.1%). The Wilcoxon test results obtained p value = 0,000 <α = 0.05. Conclusion. There is a significant influence between nutritional education through a pocket book about the diet of autistic children towards the knowledge of mothers in special schools in the city of Mataram.

Abstract

Background. Based on data Riskesdas 2013 showed that the percentage of breast-feeding only in the last 24 hours decreased with increasing age of the baby with the lowest percentage of children aged 6 months (30.2%). The data show in Mataram city only (65.96%) of all mothers breastfeeding Exclusive breastfeeding apply. Coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in the Puskesmas Tanjung Karang in 2012, exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of the health center Tanjung karang (59.40%) is still below the target of 80% and the expectation is ranked third highest of ten health centers in the region Mataram city. Research Methods. Based on the type, this study is an observational analytic studies and in terms of the time these are cross-sectional study in which all variables were collected in same time. Gross motor development of infants aged 7-12 months were collected first, then ask for a history of exclusive breastfeeding at age 0-6 months. Research Result. From 85 samples based on those age, the average age most babies are 9 months old is as much as 24.8%. Based on those sex most (56.5%) male sex. Exclusive breastfeeding bulk of the sample (64.7%) received exclusive breastfeeding and the development of gross motor bulk of the sample (70.6%) in the normal category. Based on statistical tests showed no significant relationship p = 0.558 for the higher value of α = 0.05, meaning that there is no relationship between the Exclusive Breastfeeding Babies With gross motor development Age 7-12 Months On The area of health center Tanjung  Karang, Mataram City. Conclusion. exclusive breastfeeding has no relationship with gross motor development because apart from exclusive breastfeeding motor development can be caused by several things including the lack of stimulation can also cause irregularities grow and develop even disorders that are settled.

Abstract

Background. At the age of five there are many nutritional problems, both macro nutrition and micronutrient problems. One of the problems of macro nutrition faced by toddlers is underweight nutrition. The use of local food such as corn, green beans, and tempeh which is processed into flour in making cookies is expected to be used as PMT to overcome nutritional problems. Research Purposes. This study aims to determine the effect of giving corn cookies, green beans, tempeh (JKT) to changes in body weight of underweight toddlers aged 24-59 months in the working area of Tanjung Karang Health Center. Research Methods. This study is a true experiment in the laboratory and pre-experimental designs with the design of the One Group Pretest Posttest in the community. The sample in this study were thin toddlers aged 24-59 months as many as 8 people with a total sampling technique. Data collection is done by organoleptic tests (color, odor, taste, aroma, texture), ranking test to determine the treatment of cookies with the highest ranking that will be used for research in the community, and test the acceptance of cookies. To determine changes in body weight before and after the intervention, Signs Tests were conducted. Research Result. Based on the results of the hedonic test, the addition of corn flour, green bean flour and tempeh flour had an effect on the smell of cookies (P = 0.010), while the parameters of color, taste and texture were not significant (p> 0.05). The results showed no changes in body weight before and after administration of intervention (p = 0.289). The conclusion that giving JKT cookies to underweight toddlers aged 24-59 months for 14 days did not have a significant effect on changes in underweight underweight children (p> 0.05).

Abstract

Background. Kaders are community members who are willing, able and have time to organize volunteer Posyandu activities. The knowledge and skills of the cadres need to be improved especially on cadre tasks in posyandu activities so as to contribute well in organizing posyandu activities. The knowledge and skills of the cadres can be improved by providing cadre refreshment. Research Methods. This study was pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest research design. The population in this study is all the cadres in Keluranah Karang Pule amounted to 44 people. Samples were taken using Simple Random Sampling technique amounted to 31 people. Data collection was conducted on 12 - 21 July 2017. Research Result. Knowledge and skills of cadres before being given refresher, 45% knowledge in sufficient category, skill use 19% dacin in the less skilled category, and skill of filling KMS 71% in skilled categories and 6% in unskilled category. Knowledge and skill after refreshing, 87% knowledge in good category, 100% dacin using skill in skilled category, and skill of KMS 81% in skilled category. Based on statistical test analysis Paired sample t-test showed that the result of paired sample t-test was obtained p <0,05. Conclusion. There is influence of cadre refresher on knowledge and skill in performing duty cadre in Work Area of Puskesmas Karang Pule.

Abstract

Background. Low Birth Weight (LBW) is an indicator of mother and children health. The LBW in Mataram City has increased from 3,11% in 2013 to 3,38% in 2014. One of the cause of LBW is pregnancy weight gain. Objective : To know the pregnancy weight gain with birth weight. Research Methods. This research used cross-sectional design. The population is mother who have done childbirth in the working area of Puskesmas in Mataram City in 2016. The research sample is 78 mother, 39 mothers at LBW and 39 mothers at Non LBW by Systematic Random Sampling techniq. The Multiple regression is the mehod to analyzed pregnancy weight gain with birth weight. Research Result. The pregnancy weight gain and the other ekstrinsik factors has an association with birth weight (p<0,05). The other ekstrinsik factor are significantly related to birth weight is ANC, the morbidities during pregnancy and Hb. Conclusion. Some consider the weight of pregnant women and other extrinsic factors (ANC visits, comorbidities, and Hb levels) to the weight of the baby born.
