Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian pemanfaatan ekstrak daun pepaya (Carica papaya L.) telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui potensinya dalam memberikan efek sedasi pada mencit (Mus musculus L.). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) menggunakan analisis keragaman. Penelitian menggunakan 24 mencit jantan yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan  enam ulangan. Perlakuan pemberian dosis  ekstrak daun pepaya terdiri dari 0 mg/10 g BB, 2 mg/10 g BB, 4 mg/10 g BB, dan 8 mg/10 g BB. Data waktu ketahanan mencit di atas hot plate dianalisis dengan perhitungan analisis keragaman dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT). Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah rata-rata waktu mencit bertahan di atas hot plate yang tertinggi terdapat pada dosis 8 mg/10 g BB yaitu 211,67 detik. Analisis keragaman menunjukan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun pepaya berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap ketahanan mencit terhadap panas di atas hot plate. Uji BNT menunjukan bahwa terdapat dosis ekstrak etanol daun pepaya yang efektif meningkatkan waktu ketahanan mencit di atas hot plate yaitu  pada dosis 8 mg/10 g BB. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai informasi bagi Pembelajaran Biologi SMA kelas XI semester II pada kompetensi dasar 3.8 khususnya mengenai Gangguan pada sistem koordinasi   Kata kunci : Carica papaya L., sedasi, Mus musculus L.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to develop courseware for teaching animal physiology in the material of the respiratory system. Designs in this study refers to research and the development of education (R&D). The procedure of work done in this study design is limited only at the stage of product development to product prototype courseware produced in the material of the respiratory system is ready to be validated by a team of experts (expert judgment) and tested. Therefore, the results obtained and the development presented in this study are: a) The results of the preparation of the program flowchart. Flowchart showed a flowchart depicting the course of learning programs that will be conducted from the beginning to the end of the program; b) Storyboard in the material of the respiratory system. Storyboard contains an overview of learning materials developed with the correct specification. Storyboard developed grounded to the flowchart that have been prepared; and c) Prototype product. In the courseware product in the form of presentation of the information displayed through animation, simulation, still images as well as through text descriptions. Presentation of diverse information was intended to facilitate diversity in terms of interests, learning styles, each of the students, which is expected to meet learning needs.   Keys Word: Courseware, Respiratory System, Animal Physiology

Abstract

Abstract: Research of kenikir leaves ethanol extract were conducted to determine its tonic effect on mice. The method of study is the experimen method which is addressed with a completely randomized design. Sample using 24 male mice, consisted of four treatments and six replications. Treatment dosage were 0 mg/10 g BW, 7 mg/10 g BW, 14 mg/10 g BW and 28 mg/10 g BW. Swim test method was to determine of tonic effect on mice. Swimming duration of mice were analyzed with analysis of variance and test of calculations Least Significant Different (LSD). The results showed an average swimming duration of mice were highest at dose of 28 mg/10 g BW is 814,33 sec. Analysis of variance showed that kenikir leaves ethanol extract effected in increasing highest swimming duration at dose 28 mg/10 g BW. It can be concluded that kenikir leaves ethanol extract were potentialy as a tonic. The results of this study can be contributed to additional mater information of Biological lesson at eleven grade of Senior High School at first term on basic competation 3.5 about the tissue structure of  movement organ system and connect with its bioprocess. Abstract

Abstract: This paper aims at addi information about the biology of aphids (Aphis gossypii Glover) (Hemiptera: Aphididae). A. gossypii biological information include: 1). Imago A. gossypii have winged and wingless. A. gossypii have cauda pale somewhat blackish and two or three pairs of setae hair and have tubercles head apart, front head is relatively flat and there is no protrusion at the base of the antenna. The cornicles of A. gossypii dark color, relatively short and black. A. gossypii have antennae shorter than its body length. Imago A. gossypii wings have black kornikel from the base to the tipsmall tubercles between the antenna and do not have additional protrusions on the dorsal side of the abdomen. The colour of nimfa A. gossypii dispersal from gray to green, sometimes its has a black mark on the head, thorax and abdomen proto-wings and blackish green. Nimfa A. gossypii can develop into winged and wingless imago. The colour of the newly eggs  is yellow, but soon becomes shiny black. The eggs are laid on average amounted to 5 eggs per day for 16-18 days. 2). A. gossypii is fitofag cosmopolitan insects which are found in the tropics, subtropics and temperate. A. gossypii have host plants of various families of plants around the world such as Asteraceae, Acanthaceae, Myrtaceae, Solanaceae, Moraceae, Araceae, boraginaceae, Cucurbitacae, Verbenaceae, Sterculiaceae, Rubiaceae, Malvaceae, musaceae, Piperaceae, portulacaceae, Rosaceae, Apocynaceae, Labiatae, Urticeae and Apocynaceae ' Keywords: Aphid, Biology and Aphis gossypii (Glover)

Abstract

Abstract: This atudy aimed at finding out the effect of concept attainment model on students’ achievement of fungi. This research using pre experimental method with one group pre test post test design at class X.B SMA Negeri 2 Indralaya Utara (South Sumatera, Indonesia) academic year 2015/2016. The sample of the study was taken using simple random sampling. Data collected by the method of testing for learning achievement, by the method of observation for student activities and attitudes, and by the method of the questionnare for student responses of the implementation of the model of teaching. Activities, attitudes, and responses data are the supporting data in the study. The collected data was analyzed using t-test and descriptive statistic. Results showed there is significant effect of concept attainment model on students’ achievement (n-gain) 0,74 with categorized into high. The mean score of the students’ activities (visual, motoric, writing, and oral activities) is 88,40, categorized into active. The mean score of the students’ attitudes (honest, responsible, cooperation, tolerance, confidence, and discipline attitudes) is 97,91, categorized into excellent. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah sikap berpengaruh langsung terhadap  kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Biologi umum. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survei dengan desain penelitian ex-post-fakto. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik dengan menggunakan program SPPS 22 for windows. Uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa Kelas 1B semester 1 TA 2014/2015. Adapun hasil penelitian berupa persamaan regresi linier adalah Ŷ = -3.853 + 1.036 X. Nilai koefisien korelasi (rxy) = 0.482 dan Fhitung (Fchange) = 5.458 dengan p-value = 0.031 < 0.05. Nilai R Square = 0.233 yang mengandung makna bahwa 23.3% variasi kemampuan kognitif dapat dijelaskan oleh sikap siswa. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini bahwa ada pengaruh sikap terhadap kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa pada mata kuliah biologi umum.   Kata kunci: Sikap, Kemampunan Kognitif, Biologi.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed at finding out the effect of accelerated learning model on students’ achievement on motion systems. This study  using pre experimental method with one group pretest posttest design at class XI IPA 4 SMA N 1 Tanjung Raja (South Sumatera, Indonesia) academic year 2015/2016. The sample of the study was taken using simple random sampling. Data collected by the method of testing for learning achievement, by the method of observation for student activities and attitudes, and by the method of the questionnare for student responses of the implementation. Activities, attitudes, and responses data are the supporting data in the study. The collected data was analyzed using t-test and descriptive statistic. Results showed there is significant effect of accelerated learning model on students  achievement. The mean score of the students’ activities (emotional, writing, motoric, mental, and oral activities) is 76.76, categorized into active. The mean score of the students’ attitude (honest, responsibility, cooperation, tolerance, confidence, and discipline attitudes) is 94.96, categorized into excelent. Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to find out the effect of role playing model of teaching on students’ achievement of  protein synthesis. This study was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara (South Sumatera, Indonesia), academic year 2015/2016. This study using pre-experimental method with one-group pretest-posttest design at 30 students’ of  XII IPA-2. The sample of this study was taken using simple random sampling. Data collected by the method of testing for cognitive learning achievement (knowledge), by the method observation for students’ activities, and by the method of the questionnaire for students’ responses of the implementation for the model of teaching. Activities and responses data are the supporting data in the study. The collected data was analyzed using t-test and descrptive statistic. Result showed there is a significant effect of role playing model on students’ achievement. The mean score of the students’ achievement (n-gain) was 1,84 with high categorize. The mean score of the students’ activities (motoric, visual, oral, writting activities) was 85,12, categorized into very active. The mean score of the students’ response was 78,11, categorized into good.   Kata Kunci: Activities, learning achievement, role playing model, responses, protein synthesis

Abstract

Abstract: The research on the species diversity of “under community” Tea plantations in Region Pagaralam has done that aims to identify and describe the different types of morphological characteristics of each species of plants and animals found. Research using descriptive methods. Sampling of plants was done by Sampling Purvosve Method. Sampling of animals was done pitfall trap and light trap. Sampling The results of the qualitative analysis of plants and animals are found as many as 92 species consist of 39 species of plants and 53 species of animals. Plants were found to consist of 29 species of Magnoliophyta, 6 species of Pteridophyta and Bryophyta 4 species. Animals were found to consist of 47 kinds of Arthropods, three species of chordates, two species of molluscs and 1 species of annelids. Under Community's existence is found to have a role as the respective components of the ecosystem such as producers, consumers and decomposers. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data and information in learning in high school biology class X KD 4.9 Designing a chart of the interaction between the components of the ecosystem and food networking that takes place in the ecosystem and presenting the results in various forms of media Key words: diversity, under Comunity, tea Plantations Pagar Alam.

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of the research is to know the influence of Problem Based Learning Model by Edmodo assisted in blood circulation system to XI students’ achievement at SMA Negeri 8 Palembang. The research method was Pre-Eksperimental method  and use One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample in this research was taken by Simple Random Sampling technique. Data conducted at XI MIPA 2 class with amount of 37 students. Instrument were used in this research is test instrument used multiple choice and essay. Test instrument’s data was analyzed by statistical analysis t-test. Based on result of statistical analysis t-test at the level of significant = 0,05, it is shown that tvalues greater than ttable were 32,34 > 1,69, with the result that zero hypothesis (H0) was refused and alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, that can be conclude, Problem Based Learning Model by Edmodo assisted can significantly influence to XI students’ learning achievement at SMA Negeri 8 Palembang in subject matter blood circulation.
