Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis serangga nokturnal Kebun Botani FKIP Unsri Inderalaya Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei. Metode survei adalah metode yang dipakai untuk memperoleh fakta-fakta dari gejala gejala yang ada dan mencari keterangan keterangan secara faktual. Proses pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada tiap lokasi sampling dengan menggunakan perangkap serangga yang telah dimodifikasi (Pitfall bait trap + barrier dan Light trap + barrier). Analisis terhadap indeks keanekaragaman menggunakan indeks Shannon-Winner (H’). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa keanekaragaman serangga nokturnal di Kebun Botani FKIP UNSRI Kecamatan Inderalaya Utara berada dalam kategori sedang yaitu sebesar 2,9895. Hal ini menandakan bahwa lingkungan kebun botani merupakan lingkungan yang menunjang bagi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan populasi serangga. Serangga yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian sebanyak  9 Ordo yang terdiri dari 20 famili dan 32 spesies serangga. Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberikan informasi kepada mahasiswa program studi pendidikan biologi FKIP Unsri mengenai keanekaragaman jenis serangga nokturnal di kebun botani FKIP Unsri Inderalaya Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Selain itu dapat digunakan sebagai sumbangan dalam bentuk bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran biologi di SMA kelas X semester II pada kompetensi dasar 3.4. Mendeskripsikan ciri-ciri filum dalam dunia hewan dan peranannya bagi kehidupan.   Kata Kunci: Keanekaragaman Jenis, Serangga Nokturnal, Kebun Botani, FKIP Unsri dan Biologi SMA

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve students internalization character through the implementation of learning model SETS (Science Environment Technology and Society) in class XI IPA 2 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar academic year 2016/2017. This research is an action research (Classroom Action Research), was held two cycles. Each cycle consists of three stages: planning, execution and observation, and reflection. The subjects were students of class XI IPA 2 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar academic year 2016/2017. The data research obtained through observation, tests, self-assessment questionnaires and friends, and interviews. The validity of the data using triangulation techniques. Analysis of data using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The research procedures using spiral model Kemmis and Mc Taggart.Aspects of the character values of students researched were honest, disciplined, hard working, creative, independent, curious, caring environment, and responsibility. The results of attitude observation 76.9%, student self-assessment 80.8%, and friend assessment 76.5%. Student achievement scores on internalizing character prasiklus 41,3%, 60,8% the first cycle and the second cycle 78.1%.Based on these research it can be concluded that the implementation of learning models SETS (Science Environment Technology and Society) can improve the character internalizationtowards the eleventh grade students of science 2 program  (XI IPA 2)at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar. Keywords: SETS (Environment Science Technology and Society), internalizationcharacter, character education

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian pemanfaatan ekstrak daun pepaya (Carica papaya L.) telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui potensinya dalam memberikan efek sedasi pada mencit (Mus musculus L.). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) menggunakan analisis keragaman. Penelitian menggunakan 24 mencit jantan yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan  enam ulangan. Perlakuan pemberian dosis  ekstrak daun pepaya terdiri dari 0 mg/10 g BB, 2 mg/10 g BB, 4 mg/10 g BB, dan 8 mg/10 g BB. Data waktu ketahanan mencit di atas hot plate dianalisis dengan perhitungan analisis keragaman dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT). Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah rata-rata waktu mencit bertahan di atas hot plate yang tertinggi terdapat pada dosis 8 mg/10 g BB yaitu 211,67 detik. Analisis keragaman menunjukan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun pepaya berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap ketahanan mencit terhadap panas di atas hot plate. Uji BNT menunjukan bahwa terdapat dosis ekstrak etanol daun pepaya yang efektif meningkatkan waktu ketahanan mencit di atas hot plate yaitu  pada dosis 8 mg/10 g BB. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai informasi bagi Pembelajaran Biologi SMA kelas XI semester II pada kompetensi dasar 3.8 khususnya mengenai Gangguan pada sistem koordinasi   Kata kunci : Carica papaya L., sedasi, Mus musculus L.

Abstract

Abtract: This study aims to reveal information about the insect composition of herbivores group, predators and parasitoids in oil palm plantations PT. PN VII Natar Subdistrict. Sampling was conducted in Afdeling 1 in July-August 2015. The method of catching by using hand picking, insect net, and fit fall trap way. The result shows that in the oil palm plantations PT. PN VII District of Natar, the total composition of the components of the ecosystem of the entire Ordo is the highest as herbivorous insects or pests as many as 332 individuals, namely from the Ordo Lepidoptera consists of Pieris rapae 133 Individuals, Melittia sp 3 Individuals, Hylephila phyleus 4 Individuals, Cercyonis pegala 15 Individuals and Danaus Plexippus nivosus 4 Individuals, Ordo Orthoptera consists of Stenopelmatus Nigrocapitatus 5 Individuals, Acheta domestica 46 Individuals, Dissosteira Carolina 7 Individuals, Melanoplus bivittatus 36 Individuals, Tettigidea lateralis 5 Individuals, Scudderia furcate 38 individuals, and Allonemobius fasciatus 13 individuals, the Ordo Hymenoptera consisting of Xylocopa virginica 6 Individuals, Anthophora plumipes 3 Individuals and Triepeolus lunatus 1 Individuals. Ordo Hemiptera consists of Leptoglossus gonagra 3 Individuals and Leptocorisa acuta 5 Individuals and Ordo Coleoptera consists of Eburia quadrigeminata 5 Individuals. Total composition components of the ecosystem of the entire Ordo, which acts as a predator as many as 288 individuals, namely from the Ordo Hymenoptera consists of Formica sp 175 Individuals, Oceophylla smaragdina 54 individuals, the Ordo Odonata consists of Neurothemis terminata 30 Individuals, Brachythemis contaminata 19 Individuals and Pantala flavescens 5 Individuals, Ordo Mantodea consists of Mantis religiosa L 4 Individuals, Ordo Dermaptera consists of Forficula auricularia 1 Individuals. Total composition component of the overall ecosystem of the most lowest Ordo are as many as 21 individual parasitoids that of the Ordo Hymenoptera consisting of Phygadeuon fumator 1 Individuals, Cramastinae sp 3 Individuals, Sarchopaga Carnaria 5 Individuals, Musca domestica 2 Individuals, Lucillia sericata 10 Individuals. The Information on the results of this study are expected to be an alternative example of contextual learning in high school biology class X Basic Competencies 3.8 Describing Indonesia's biodiversity, and conservation efforts as well as the use of natural resources. Keywords: Composition, insects, class, oil palm plantations.

Dosen Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya Jln Raya Palembang-Inderalaya Km 32, Inderalaya Ogan Ilir Sumatera Selatan email : Anggieyuliantii@yahoo.com   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa pada materi struktur dan fungsi jaringan tumbuhan setelah diterapkan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Index Card Match (ICM) di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 14 Palembang. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 14 Palembang tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas sampel. Metode yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental Design dengan bentuk desain one-group pretest-postest design. Data yang diambil berupa hasil belajar  siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t, hasil penelitian ini menunjukan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelas percobaan pada materi KD 2.1 Untuk tes awal sebesar 50,76 dan untuk tes akhir nya 81,46. Hasil belajar menunjukan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar rata-rata 31,22 sehingga diperoleh indeks gain sebesar 0,64 dengan kategori sedang. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Index Card Match berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 14 Palembang. Nilai penelitian terhadap aktivitas siswa pada kelas XI IPA 3 selama penerapan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Index Card Macth yaitu dalam kategori tinggi.   Kata kunci : Strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Index Card Macth (ICM), hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa. Abstract This research aims to know the results of student learning on the material tissue structure and function after active learning strategies the type of Index Card Match (ICM) are applied in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 14 Palembang. The population in this research is the all of student in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 14 Palembang school year 2013/2014. The sample in this study is taken using a purposive sampling technique, so that the retrieved class XI IPA 3 as a class sample. The method used is the pre-Experimental Design with form design one-group pretest-postest design. The Data is taken in the form of student learning outcomes. Data analysis, the t test is used, the results of the study showed the average value of student learning outcomes in the classroom experiment on material KD 2.1. For the pre-tests 50.76 and the post-test 81,46. Results of the study showed an increase in average study results 31,22 so that the retrieved gain index 0.64 by medium category. The t-test results showed that the application of active learning strategies Index Card type Match effect significantly to student learning outcomes in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 3 14 Palembang. The research value of the activity of students in class XI IPA 3 during the application of active learning strategies type Index Card Macth that is high in category Key words: Active learning strategy type Index Card Macth (ICM), the result of study and student activities.

Abstract

Abstract: The research have been done to determine the effectivity of extract ginger (Zingiber officinale) as a repellent against fire ants (Solenopsis sp). The method that used in this experiment is Completely Randomized Design (RAL) method, which are consists of 6 treatments with 4 replicates. The concentration of treatment consists of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% and the quantity of fire ants around 18 for each treatment, and were used for 6 hours of observation at 9, 10, 11 in the morning and at 14, 15, 16 in the afternoon. The result of BJND test proved that the concentration of 5% have shown the rejection against of fire ants and followed by other concentration, whereas the effective time is shown at first hour toward the number of fire ant rejection. This shows that the higher of the concentration of ginger extract, the more quantity of fire ant rejection, while the longer of the exposure time then the less quantity of fire ants rejection. The information on the results of this study can be used as an alternative example of contextual learning in class X Biology Semester II KD 3.7. Applying the principles of classification to classify plants into divisio based on morphological observations and metagenesis plants and associate role in the survival of life on earth. Abstract

Abstract: This research aim to know about morphology characteristic of Reptillia (Sub Ordo Sauria) and determination key of Reptillia in Taman Wisata Alam (TWA) Bukit Kaba. This research used descriptive and Visual Encounter Survey (VES) methods. Species was collected by hand and trap net. The morphology data was analised by descriptively to establish name and description of kinds. The result of the research was successed to find seven kinds of lizard and classified on four family which is Gekkonidae family’s (Gekko monarchus, Hemidactylus frenatus, dan Hemidactylus platyurus), Scincidae family’s (Eutropis multifasciata), Agamidae family’s (Bronchocela cristatella andDraco volans), and Varanidae family’s (Varanus salvator). Morphology Characteristic on each kinds of lizard were various that is Head character, Body, legs, tail, skink and tongue.  Result of the research expect could be usefully as early information for next research and also it able to become a studies source in learning biology at SMA X class 2th semester on Basic Competency 3.2. analyzing the data of observation result in any level of various biodiversity (Gen, kinds and ekosistem) at Indonesia. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tumbuhan paku (Pteridophyta) dan kekerabatannya di kawasan wisata Air Terjun Curup Tenang Bedegung Kecamatan Tanjung Agung Kabupaten Muara Enim. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2014 sampai dengan Mei 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei deskriptif dengan teknik jelajah yaitu dengan batasan pengambilan sampel 200 meter di sebelah kanan (Barat Laut) dan sebelah kiri (Utara) air terjun.  Hasil penelitian ditemukan 12 jenis tumbuhan paku, yang tergolong ke dalam 11 marga dan 6 suku. Jenis yang berhasil ditemukan yaitu Selaginella plana (Desv.) Hieron., Drymoglossum pilloselloides (L.) Presl., Pyrrosia angustata, Pityrogramma calomelanos L. Link., Drynaria sparsisora (Desv.) T. Moore., Lygodium flexuosum (L.) Sw., Asplenium nidus L., Adiantum tenerum Sw., Pteris vittata L., Nephrolepis bisserata (Sw.) Schott., Nephrolepis falcata (Cav.) C. Chr., dan Elaphoglossum angulatum (BI) T. Moore. Hubungan kekerabatan paling dekat yaitu Nephrolepis bisserata (Sw.) Schott. dan Nephrolepis falcata (Cav.) C. Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian tentang Pengaruh Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Course Review Horay (CRH) terhadap Hasil Belajar Biologi di SMA Negeri 11 Palembang bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Course Review Horay (CRH) terhadap Hasil Belajar Biologi di SMA Negeri 11 Palembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Quasy-Experimental dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA2 dan XI IPA3 dengan jumlah siswa masing-masing 43 dan 41 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Random Sampling. Nilai rata-rata pretest, posttest, gain dan  n-gain kelas eksperimen secara berurutan adalah 33,95; 84,6; 50,31 dan 0,76 sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol yaitu 39,59; 65,45; 25,85 dan 0,42. Ketuntasan belajar untuk kelas eksperimen 100% dan  kelas kontrol 82,2%. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai thitung>ttabel (16,39>1,67) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Course Review Horay (CRH) terhadap Hasil Belajar Biologi di SMA Negeri 11 Palembang. Abstract

ABSTRACT: The research to obtain information on the effect of the application of guided inquiry learning model for the study of students that science process skills and mastery of concepts in the biology subject matter respiratory system XI MIA 1 SMA N 1 Indralaya. The method used is Pre-Experimental Design with design One-group pretest posttest design. Data is collected in class XI MIA 1 with total Students 27 people. Based on the analysis to increase KPS obtained average value of the written test in the form of preliminary tests and final tests are 63.1 and 94. Aspects of the highest KPS written test results and observations are observing aspects. Lowest KPS aspect based written tests hypothesize that aspect while the lowest aspect based on the observation that communication aspects. Based on statistical test t-test data mastery of concepts students from preliminary tests and final test obtained t count> t table is 16 > 1.706. This shows that the application of guided inquiry learning model affects the learning outcomes of students of class XI MIA 1 SMA N 1 Indralaya.
