Abstract

working. Workmanship of austenisation is done through warm-up of specimen at temperature 9000C during one hour clock, then made cool in coolant giving speed of different refrigeration. As coolant is refrigeration of lag in refrigeration stove in air-gap (air), dye oli, and dye water giving speed of highest refrigeration. Attempt result indicate that strength of steel from material early 423,9 MPa, after diaustenisation specimen, the strength increase becoming 474,9 MPa through air cooling, and 560,5 MPa through refrigeration dye water. Media cooler dye water, yield mechanical property is less good, because specimen manjadi is fragible (small elongation 6%). Microstructure observation becomeed militant, phase which formed is ferrite as matrik and pearlite. Increasing of strength of call is caused by item formed by pearlite is higher distribution from at initial material. Specimen with refrigeration dye water, microstructure type which formed becoming change, phase which formed is ferrite of form of needle as matrik and martensite. This microstructure type give metal become brittle. Although the strength is highest (717,3 MPa).

Abstract

The ships construction system must be hold against the inside force of ship although the outside force of ship. The inside force of ship come from the the force of ships lightweight components, and the force ships deadweight components. While the outside force of ship come from the sea water wave and the air flow against the ships hull when the ship is sailing. The influence factors of design load of ships construction calculation such as: the kind of ship, the load force against the ships hull, the length area of ship likes after peak, middle, and fore peak, the area of sea water, the comparison of ships dimension (length/depth), the kind of steel, and the corrosion of steel

Abstract

Air conditioning in the room is used to regulate humidity, heating and cooling the air in the room. This conditioning aims to provide comfort, so as to reducing fatigue. To get the air temperature corresponding to the desired lot alternative that can be applied, such as by increasing the heat transfer coefficient condensation and by adding the speed of cooling air in the condenser that will obtained coefficient greater performance. The method used in this study was experiments using the equipment of the machine refrigeration air conditioning system in the energy Conversion Laboratory designed by students of the faculty of Engineering , recorded data such as temperature, pressure and the pressure difference in the compressor. To make variations in condenser fan shaft rotation is done by making several changes to the motor frequency power move. Variations condenser fan rotation electric motor used is 50 rpm up to 120 rpm. The registration data such as pressure and temperature subsequently plotted on P-h chart for the refrigerant R-134a. Based on the discussion and the calculation of the data obtained, it can be a number of conclusions and performance characteristics of the cooling system, greater the flow rate air to cool the condenser then the coefficient of achievement is increasing. Because the rate of large heat release will impact on condenser temperatures are getting lower, so can achieve lower temperatures again in evaporator output. So the compressor work more light on the variation rate of heat release most.

Abstract

Litsea cordata Jack (Hook).F is a high tree which grows in West Java.The Alkaloid constituents were isolated from methanol extract , by the usal acid-base extraction to produce a total alkaloid. The total alkaloid was separated into phenolic and non-phenolic fractions with the same way. Two alkaloids components isolated from the phenolic fraction suggested to be , tetrahydro-benzylisokuinolyne derivative and aporphine derivative base on spectroscopic data , UV and mass spectrum.

Abstract

Many things can affect the quality of Arc Sprayed process, including the process of setting the parameters of the machine, especially large current and voltage settings on the machine Arc Sprayed burning electricity (in this study using the machine SULZER METCO TUBE models 300). Given it is done research on comparative analysis of the microstructure of the material hardness and cooper wire AW 14 GA and 13Cr steel which will be used as the standard parameters on PT. X by using some variation of voltage (voltage) and current (ampere) on the machine SULZER METCO TUBE 300 models that aim to make the coating material sprayed results arc process. Coating or coating aims to improve the mechanical properties of the material or industrial goods that are far superior and quality of existing or recondition the mechanical properties of the material originally kekondisi. One example of that is the Arc Sprayed coatings using Copper material AW 14GA and 13Cr steel. The amount of electric current used in this study for 200A, 225A, 250A, and 275A and a large voltage that is used for 26V, 28V, 30V and 32V with standard minimum hardness of 118 HV and 372 HV hardness maximum amount and there is no porosity of testing photo material micro structure. From the research, it was found that the magnitude of the ideal machine parameters in accordance with the quality standards that have been set, namely the+32V 250A engine parameters, and the parameters used as the standard parameters for the production process in PT. X.

Abstract

Major role in the valve spring Diesel 4 strokes is able to guarantee the valve open and closed positions without loss of engine compression. Therefore, the spring must be able to maintain the style required by the valve in accordance with the needs of its operations. When the spring force reduction operations over the threshold, then the spring will be malfunctioning. Before this happens, the spring should be replaced or restored. Meanwhile, the replacement with a new one because it failed to cause unplanned downtime. To balance the needs of utilities and prevention of failure (downtime) is required prediction faill replacement, and therefore the rate of decline in the spring force is directly related to the characteristics possessed by every spring, then to determine the rate of decrease in the valve spring force necessary to test fatigue characteristics. To achieve these objectives, characteristics and fatigue testing is done with spring material Goodman line approach. These tests include the identification of test material in the form of a test spring spring material chemical composition and hardness test; namely to determine the tensile strength limit in the diagram Heigh and criteria preset limit or unpreset spring tired. Next proceed to test the rate of decrease in the spring force on the cyclic loading which is the subject of this study, in which the rate of decrease in the spring force test due to cyclic done to reach the threshold spring force on the round number above 107. The test results showed that the decrease in the spring force caused by the spring force on the rate of decline of about 6% cyclic loading is at about 300 hours of operating hours, the next spring force experienced stability.

Abstract

PAH tend to bind with organic and inorganic material suspended so abundant in bottom sediments. PAHs enter the water through various sources are quickly absorbed by organic and inorganic particles. PAH accumulated by aquatic biota higher than womb environment. This study aims to determine the type and content of polyaromatic hydrocarbons both in the exhaust emissions of motor vehicles as well as diesel fuel in sea water and sediments contaminated by the oil spill. The results showed that Chrysene, benzo (b) Fluoranthene and Benzo (a) Pyrene is a sample that had higher levels of PAH is quite high and is found in every sample well on exhaust emissions as well as in seawater and sediments, where all three types of PAH that exceed the threshold determined doubled. While the content of PAHs found in terminal loading and unloading of ships Benzo (b) fluoren namely 92.842 ppm and below Benzo (a) pyren 62.054 ppm and 10.939 Chrysene pp.

Abstract

The simulation of two dimensional projectile motion problem with including resisting force as velocity function in MATLAB program has been done.The two dimensional projectile motion problem was formulated in second order differential equation which included resitance form as linier velocity function. The second order differential of motion then separated into two coupled first order differential equation and then numerically was soluted by Runge_Kutta4 method. The visualisation of computation values as a path of projectile motion and others physics quantities like dissipation energy were shown by MATLAB GUIDE.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a manufacture company of vehicle spare parts. One of the product is Arm Visor Shaft D01N. The process of making Arm Visor Shaft D01N can be exposed to be potential risk for workers. The source of potential risk is from the material, equipment, machine, environment and the other hazards. Therefore the risk management of occupational health and safety is very important to be implemented in the company. Hazard identification method using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA), while for risk analysis is undertaken by semi-quantitative method that uses risk assessment criteria (consequence, probability and exposure). Based on the research that the level of risk in the process of making Arm Visor Shaft are risk with very high level has 8, substantial level has 23, priority 2 level has 2 and acceptable level has 3.

Abstract

The vibration caused by the engine rotation must be within specified limits. A mechanism that is unbalanced or unstable will lead to excessive wear on ball bearings. Unbalanced condition is one of them due to a shaking force on the crankshaft which affects the wear of ball bearings as a pedestal. The problems that have been faced is the replacement of bearings after a failure caused by excessive force due to imbalance rocking rounds to get a replacement bearings before reaching failure (unreliable). The purpose of this study was to determine reliably the age of radial ball bearings in order to maintain the performance of the motor as well as the prevention of unplanned downtime nature. Prevention "malfunction" will avoid the effects on other components of diesel engines, particularly against compression disorders. Variation of residual unbalanced force large enough to cause interference with the ball bearings to reduce Mo, the rest of the unbalanced force can be siginifkan diturnkan.
