Abstract

This study aims to develop the learning of mathematics 1st junior class VII, on Numbers and Set. The learning tools developed consists of a syllabus, Lesson Plan (RPP), Sheet Teaching Materials (LMA), Student Activity Sheet (LAS), instructional media, and Authentic Assessment Sheet (LPA). This study is the research, development model 4-D which consists of four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. In this study the development process undertaken only to phase 3. The learning tools that have been developed, validated by two-person of experts and two practitioners then conducted a limited trial to the junior high school students in coastal areas. Data validation and students' responses collected through questionnaires which are then revised on the advice. From the results of the validation data showed the average score was 3.93 for syllabus (very valid), RPP was 3.44 (very valid), LAS was 3,67 (very valid), LMA was 3.83 (very valid), LMP was 3.92 (very valid), and the average score of the students' response was 3.76 (very practical). From the development of learning tools that have been carried out it is concluded that a learning tool developed very valid and ready to be tested on students of SMP / MTs by a larger amount.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) Determine the implementation of curriculum 2013 in Mathematics on SMPN of Pekanbaru, the academic year 2016/2017. (2) Knowing what obstacles faced by Mathematics teachers SMPN of Pekanbaru in the implementation of kurikulm 2013. This study is a qualitative descriptive study, which describes the implementation of the curriculum 2013 by Mathematics teachers of SMPN Pekanbaru and the constraints they face. Subjects in this study are Mathematics teachers in SMPN Pekanbaru that implementing the curriculum 2013, such as SMP 1, SMP 6 and SMP 23 Pekanbaru. The data collection by conducting surveillance documents, and interviews with Mathematics teachers. Based on data analysis, learning process based curriculum 2013 in Pekanbaru SMP has not gone well. There are some problems in the implementation of the curriculum 2013 at SMPN Pekanbaru such as, (1) Teacher have a problem to making Student Activity Sheet; (2) Lack of teacher knowledge about models, strategies, or approach about student-centered learning; and (3) Lack of understanding about the assessment of teachers especially skills assessment.

Abstract

Cooperative learning and problem submission is one of the learning models that can be developed and implemented to solving the problem of low activity and learning achievement. One method of cooperative learning can be used to enable students to said their problem is snowball throwing method. This study used a qualitative approach in this case is classroom action research, which consists of two cycles. The result showed that the snowball throwing is proven to help improve learning outcomes of students of class VII-E SMP Negeri 1 Singosari in Statistics. This can be shown on the score of the average value obtained from the initial data, the first cycle and the second cycle (71, 75, and 80) and the thoroughness of classical learning was 83.3%. Therefore, it is recommended to teachers of mathematics to use Snowball Throwing.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' perceptions of the use of multimedia learning software GeoGebra in Multivariable Calculus course. Students' perceptions of the use of media or multimedia learning are closely related to their achievement. Media or multimedia learning in accordance with the desire of students will make them motivated. This research is qualitative data analysis was done descriptively. The data obtained in this study comes from researchers as the main instrument, the data questionnaire and interview data is unstructured. The results are students' perceptions of the use of multimedia learning software GeoGebra in Multivariable Calculus courses are in the positive category.

Abstract

The aims this study is the utilization of Internet media by students on science subjects in Faculty of Teacher Training and Science Teaching State Islamic Institute Palangka Raya. The method used in this research is the Mixed Method, which is a merger between quantitative and qualitative methods in a single study. Data collection techniques are observation , interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis technique that is editing, tabulating, analyzing and concluding. The results of this study are based on the results of questionnaires known that 36 students obtained information about the level of utilization of the Internet as a source of learning in the subjects of science education as follows: 8 students (22.22%) criteria very well, 18 students (50.00%) criteria, 10 students (27.78%) criteria good enough, 0 students (0.00%) said that the use of the internet as a learning resource study science subjects in the criteria is not good and is not very good. Students use the Internet as a source of learning ,. because with the Internet can assist students in finding information and tasks subjects Education Sciences. If there is no task that many in the college access is facebook, google, yahoo, twitter and youtube.. Factors supporting the use of the Internet as a source of student learning, among others, the demands of the lecturers to fulfill the tasks subjects Education, learning resources available on the internet is more complete, helps the reviewer got the course, making it easier to perform tasks, the existing information more clearly and valid, faster in search of information, resources realy more complete knowledge, the existence of hotspots on campus, which is up to date news / new, lower-cost, easily accessible, curiosity and needs.

Abstract

Current learning and mathematical reasoning who have not been up, to be the reason to conduct research development. The desired product in this study is a learning device such as RP and LKM to improve the mathematical reasoning through problem solving. Methode used such as Plomp and quality of the products developed by Nieveen. Assessment of product is the validity (validator), practicality, and effectiveness (results limited trial). Limited trial demonstrated the practicality criteria have been met as students respond positively to the learning, structure and step sequences of learning, interest in learning, and the LKS. Effectiveness criteria have been satisfied with either minimal category, or an increase of mathematical reasoning.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the mathematical connection capability and creative thinking in mathematics with APOS theory. This study uses a quantitative and qualitative approach, the research design class action, which was conducted in two cycles. The research subject is 30 math education students who take a course in calculus. The results showed that an increase in the ability to connect mathematical and creative thinking in mathematics with APOS theory which includes Action, Process, Object and Scheme. This is shown by the data obtained in the second cycle that meets the criteria of academic success with 81.47%, the ability of mathematical connection with the achievement of 80.56%, and the ability to think creatively with the achievement of 81.27%.
