Abstract

In order to improve and to ensure the availability of information technology (IT) services quality, many organizations now have a helpdesk which acts as a center point in solving and organizing problems. However, in the planning and implementation of Information Systems Service Helpdesk, it is necessary to do a thorough analysis of the framework of the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) that is appropriate and in accordance with the needs of organizations, that is also capable of providing the function of knowledge management. It is because each type of organization has different needs and Standard Operation Procedure in providing IT services. The purpose of this study is to analyze the right ITSM framework in developing Helpdesk Information System in PT Len Industri (Persero), which is one of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs). Helpdesk services provide repairs of hardware, software, and network. Previously, informations about problems and the handling are not complete, and the information storing is unstructured. This causes difficulties in monitoring and evaluation activities conducted by helpdesk admin and manager of Information Systems. To solve this problem, a system is designed using ITSM best practices standard from the Information Technology Infrastructure Library version 3. The system is designed to perform the classification to every problem. Classifications are made into several level of priorities which correspond with profile matching method, according to position and division within the PT Len Industri (Persero)’s value chain. The developed dashboard has been able to support the helpdesk results evaluation process. To ensure the usability of the system, a user acceptance test is conducted with the standard of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology. The system obtains overall score of 88,89% in the user interface aspect and 83,715% in the functional requirement of information system aspect.

Abstract

This paper explores the implementation of refinement theory in questions composition for semantic webbased Arabic Learning game. The refinement theory is used to assess the degree of sophistication of the game, while semantic web is a concept that improves web document into web data. In this paper, a simple ontology about game questions composition is developed by implementing refinement theory to distinguish the difficulty of each level. This, hopefully, will motivate players to continue playing their game into the next level. This research conclude that the relation between value of R and question complexity is a negative correlation. The higher the value of R, the lower the question complexity.

Abstract

Abstract— Nowadays, personal positioning systems are more necessary to build many location-based services. Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR), which is a pedestrian positioning technique using the accelerometer sensor to recognize pattern of steps, is an alternative method that has advantages in terms of infrastructure-independent. However, the variation of walking pattern on each individual will make some difficulties for the system to detect displacement. This is really interested authors to develop a sensor-based positioning system that applied generally to all individuals. In the test, 15 test subjects was taken with the distance of each 10m, 20m and 30m. Experiment begins with the feasibility test of accelerometer sensor. In this work, a smartphone with average sampling rate 63.79 Hz and standard deviation of 1.293 is used to records the acceleration. Then, the acceleration data are analyzed to detect step and to estimate the travelled distance using several methods. Detection of steps are able to make an average error of 2.925%, while the most nearly correct displacement estimation is using Scarlet experimental method which is make a distance average error of 1.39metres at all the traveled distance.Intisari— Sistem penentuan posisi personal kini semakin banyak dibutuhkan untuk membangun berbagai macam layanan berbasis lokasi (location based services). Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR), yang merupakan teknik penentuan posisi pejalan kaki dengan memanfaatkan sensor akselerometer untuk mengenali pola langkah, memiliki kelebihan dalam hal ketidaktergantungannya pada infrastruktur tertentu. Namun, variasi pola berjalan pada setiap individu akan menyulitkan sistem ini untuk mendeteksi perpindahan. Hal ini merupakan sebuah pendorong bagi penulis untuk mengembangkan sebuah sistem penentuan posisi berbasis sensor yang berlaku umum bagi seluruh individu. Dalam pengujian, diambil 15 sampel dengan jarak tempuh masing-masing 10m, 20m, dan 30m. Eksperimen diawali dengan uji kehandalan sensor akselerometer. Pada penelitian ini, sebuah ponsel dengan sampling rate 63.79 Hz dan standar deviasi 1.293 digunakan untuk merekam akselerasi. Kemudian, pada data akselerasi dilakukan deteksi langkah dan estimasi perpindahan menggunakan beberapa metode. Deteksi langkah mampu menghasilkan rata-rata kesalahan sebesar 2.925%, sedangkan estimasi perpindahan yang paling akurat adalah dengan menggunakan metode Scarlet yang mampu menghasilkan kesalahan estimasi rata-rata 1.39m pada semua jarak tempuh.Kata Kunci— pedestrian dead reckoning, teknik penentuan posisi berbasis sensor, ponsel cerdas.

Abstract

Today, the Palapa Ring project launched by the government is focused on development in Eastern Indonesia. The fiber optic is chosen for backbone network because fiber optics have wide bandwidth, thus allowing delivery of messages on various services. This study designs an optical backbone network for connecting Makassar and Maumere. This design uses several parameters, both technical and non-technical, such as human activities and sea conditions connecting the two regions. This design also uses the power link budget and the rise-time budget as reliability parameters. The results show that maximum BER is 5.892 x 10-11, which is still below the standard, 10-9.Proyek Palapa Ring yang dicanangkan pemerintah saat ini sedang difokuskan pada pembangunan di kawasan Indonesia Timur. Pemilihan fiber optik pada jaringan backbone dikarenakan fiber optik memiliki bandwidth yang lebar, sehingga memungkinkan pengiriman pesan pada berbagai layanan dapat direalisasikan dengan baik. Pada makalah ini dirancang jaringan backbone fiber optik untuk menghubungkan kawasan Makassar hingga Maumere. Perancangan ini memperhitungkan beberapa parameter, baik secara teknis maupun nonteknis seperti aktivitas manusia maupun kondisi laut yang menghubungkan kedua kawasan tersebut, serta melakukan pengujian terhadap power link budget dan rise-time budget sebagai parameter keandalan sistem. Dari hasil rancangan, didapatkan nilai BER terbesar adalah 5,892 x 10-11 yang masih berada di bawah standar BER maksimum 10-9.

Abstract

Paper impregnated oil (paper-oil insulation) is used as insulation material in transformer. The water in transformer appears as a consequence of oxidation process of the paper-oil system and atmospheric air penetration into the tank. High voltage testing is used to test paper-oil insulation with different water content to examine its breakdown voltage. Three conditions were used in this research, which are initial condition, the condition after heating up to 700C, and the condition after cooling down at room temperature for 2 x 24 hour. The result of high voltage tests shows that the water content can decrease the breakdown voltage and the dielectric strength of paper-oil insulation. The heating-cooling process reduces the water content of oil insulation and therefore increases the breakdown voltage and dielectric strength of paper-oil insulation. Isolasi kertas yang dicelup minyak (isolasi kertas-minyak) adalah isolasi yang digunakan pada transformator. Air dapat timbul sebagai akibat proses oksidasi dan penetrasi udara luar selama transformator beroperasi. Pengujian tegangan tinggi dilakukan terhadap isolasi kertas-minyak dengan kadar air yang berbeda untuk mengetahui besar tegangan tembusnya. Pengujian tegangan tinggi dilakukan terhadap isolasi kertas-minyak pada tiga kondisi, yaitu kondisi awal, kondisi setelah dipanaskan sampai suhu 700C, dan kondisi setelah didinginkan pada suhu ruangan selama 2 x 24 jam. Dari hasil pengujian tegangan tinggi, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kenaikan kadar air akan menurunkan tegangan tembus dan kekuatan dielektrik isolasi kertas-minyak. Diketahui juga, proses pemanasan dan pendinginan menurunkan kadar air dalam isolasi kertas-minyak sehingga dapat meningkatkan tegangan tembus dan kekuatan dielektrik isolasi kertas-minyak.

Abstract

E-government (e-gov) classified into four levels, the first is information publication through the website, second is interaction between society and government. The third is transactions between the community and government and the fourth is integration of all government offices. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is framework that has properties of loosely coupled, highly interoperable, reusable, and interoperability. It has potential connecting diversity of platforms without make changes to the application and the database that already exists. Currently Sidoarjo has e-gov first level and most depart-ment/agency already has applications and databases, but it can’t communicate with each other because of diversity of appli-cations/platforms. The study aims build prototype of e-gov third level by increasing cohesion between services and the interope-rability of data/applications. The research used Shared Service Life Cycle (SSLC) method, consists of business process identi-fication, analysis, design and development, and evaluation. The study produced a prototype e-gov third level SOA-based that has cohesion between services and the interoperability of data/appli-cations.E-government (e-gov) digolongkan dalam empat tingkatan, pertama publikasi informasi melalui website. Kedua adalah interaksi antara masyarakat dan kantor pemerintahan. Ketiga tejadi transaksi antara masyarakat dengan kantor peme-rintahan dan keempat adalah integrasi seluruh kantor pemerintahan. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) adalah ke-rangka kerja yang bersifat loosely coupled, highly interoperable, reusable, dan interoperability, sehingga memiliki potensi untuk menghubungkan keanekaragaman platform tanpa perlu mela-kukan perubahan pada aplikasi dan database yang sudah ada. Saat ini Pemerintah Kabupaten Sidoarjo memiliki e-gov tingkat pertama dan sebagian besar Dinas/Badan sudah memiliki aplikasi dan database. Meskipun demikian aplikasi dan data tersebut tidak dapat saling berkomunikasi karena beragamnya aplikasi dan platform yang digunakan. Penelitian bertujuan membangun purwarupa e-gov tingkat pemantapan dengan me-ningkatkan cohesion antar layanan serta interoperabilitas data/aplikasi. Metode penelitian menggunakan Shared service life cycle (SSLC) yang terdiri atas identifikasi proses bisnis, analisis, desain dan pengembangan serta evaluasi. Penelitian mengha-silkan purwarupa E-government level pemantapan berbasis SOA, ditandai fitur transaksi pelayanan publik yang memiliki kohesi antar layanan dan interoperabilitas data/aplikasi.

Abstract

Constructivist Multimedia Learning Environment (CMLE) is a learning model where the teacher gives the student an experience that can help them to develop high order thinking skills such as critical thinking, developing solutions, and be creative around their environment. CMLE uses multimedia as their main source of information and as a tool to deliver learning materials. For that purpose, evaluation is needed to assess the effectiveness of the learning model. This evaluation is known as CMLE Survey (CMLES). Data obtained from CMLES needs to be analysed using analytical methods that can show the relationship between each variable and the indicator. Bayesian Structural Equation Model (SEM) is considered as the right approach because of many advantages of Bayesian Approach, such as using prior information to get posterior result and not affected by the number of samples. The seven existing hypotheses are accepted with the following results. RTH has a positive influence on CHL while CHL has a positive effect on COM. RLV has a positive influence on COM. RTH has a positive influence on INQ while INQ has a positive influence on NEG. Nevertheless, CHL gives a negative influence on INQ and RLV gives a negative influence on CHL.

Abstract

This paper proposes an online game design that has resources with interoperability. Interoperability means the resources can share, re-used, and interlinked with another Unified Resources Identifier (URI). The game design is constructed by utilizing Linked Data concept where the resources are developed in the form of ontology. The resources are developed by both creating manually using Protégé and re-using from another URI’s. To get the resources from another URI’s SPARQL can be used through Apache Jena Fuseki server. SPARQL is a query used for Resource Description Framework (RDF) or Web Ontology Language (OWL). The result shows that retrieval data/information process by using SPARQL works well. The resources from another URI’s can be used and integrated with local resources. It means the quality of information knowledge is increasing in interoperability, where the resources can be shared, re-used, and interlinked.

Abstract

KRS-Online system is a web-based information system to assist the process of preparing the KRS of every student in University of Muhammadiyah Malang. In this research, the level of usability of the system will be measured and the relationship between the independent variables (usefulness,ease of use, and ease of learning) and dependent variable (satisfaction), either simultaneously or partially, will be analyzed. Usability measurement adopted in this study is USE questionnaire that contains usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning, and satisfaction variables. This research involves 100 respondents from the KRS-Online system users. The result shows that measuring usability produces feasibility of 73.312%, which means usability of KRS-Online system is "acceptable". On the other hand, this study proves that there is a significant influence between usefulness, ease of use, and ease of learning variables with the satisfaction variable simultaneously. In addition, usefulness and ease of use variables significantly affect the satisfaction variable partially, while the ease of learning variable does not significantly affect the satisfaction variable.

Abstract

Abstract— The Self-Sufficient Energy Village (DME) is one of main program from goverment about the village ability to produce energy . This program has been launched in 2007 by the President of Indonesia, to enhance energy security in rural area in using local energy. The criteria of Self-Sufficient Energy Village is the village capability to produce at least 60% of the total amount of energy, using renewable energy. Geographically Margajaya Village has solar and microhydro resource which is very potential for development. Furthermore, Margajaya village also produces plantation commodities like palm oil, which every week produces waste like palm bunches, The waste of which is a very potential biomass. The optimization of renewable energy for electrical power generation has been designed using HOMER in Margajaya village, which have annual power peak is 65kW and daily energy consumtion of 415kWh/day. The result from simulation of Hybrid renewable system in HOMER that showed Hydro, Biomass and grid is the best economical solution over hydro-biomass-PV with battery, to design hybrid system with minimum total net present cost (NPC) and cost of electricity. The system can serve annual 100% of load in Margajaya and have surplus of electricity, and could sell to grid as much of 408.492 kWh/years. Economically the system have cost of electricity is US$-0,167/kWh..Intisari— Desa Mandiri Energi (DME) merupakan salah satu program dari pemerintah mengenai kemampuan suatu Desa untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energinya sendiri.Program ini dicanangkan pertama kali pada tahun 2007 oleh prisiden RI. Kriteria Desa Mandiri Energi adalah Desa yang mampu memenuhi minimal 60% dari total kebutuhan energinya menggunakan energi terbarukan. Desa Margajaya secara geografis memiliki potensi energi matahari dan mikrohidro yang sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan. Selain itu Desa ini merupakan salah satu Desa di Kecamatan Padang Jaya penghasil komoditi perkebunan berupa kelapa sawit, yang setiap minggunya menghasilkan limbah berupa pelepah kelapa sawit, yang apabila limbah tersebut merupakan potensi biomassa yang apabila dimanfaatkan dapat menghasilkan energi listrik yang dapat mengurangi ketergantungan masyarakat terhadap energi listrik yang berasal dari pembangkit yang menggunakan energi fosil. Software HOMER dalam penelitian ini digunakan untuk memodelkan sistem hybrid optimal yang dapat di implementasikan di Desa Margajaya. HOMER (Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewables) merupakan sebuah software pemodelan sistem hybrid yang dikembangkan oleh National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Amerika Serikan untuk mengoptimasi desain sistem pembangkit hybrid dengan output estimasi ukuran/ kapasitas sistem, Lifecycle cost dan emisi gas rumah kaca. Optimisasi energi terbarukanuntuk pembangkitan energi listrik ini dilakukan di Desa Margajaya, yang mempunyai beban puncak yang mungkin terjadi dalam satu tahun sebesar 65 kW dan konsumsi energi harian sebesar 415 kWh/ hari. Konfigurasi yang optimal berdasarkan parameterparameter yang di inputkan ke HOMER menghasilkan rekomendasi sistem yang terdiri dari Hydro 41,2 kW, Biomassa 5 kW dan Grid 10 kW. Sistem tersebut dapat melayani 100% beban listrik di Desa Margajaya sepanjang tahun dan memiliki surplus energi yang dapat dijual ke Grid sebesar 321.273kWh/tahun. Secara ekonomi sistem ini mempunyai harga listrik yang sangat bersaing dengan harga listrik dari PLN yaitu US$ -0,197/kWh.Kata Kunci— DME, Sistem Hybrid, Mikrohidro, Biomassa, PV Array, HOMER.
