Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengembangan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (JPPPAUD) is a scientific journal published by Early Childhood Teacher Education Departement (PGPAUD), Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (UNTIRTA). This journal publishes the latest articles in the fields of Early Childhood Education. The journal invites all lecturers, scientists, teachers, practitioners, and everyone to publish the articles related to any kind of research, literature review, and book review. It was first published in 2014 and regularly published twice a year on May and November.

Abstract

The curriculum is a written plan based on the principles of child development program in accordance with the standards of achievement, which contains the ultimate goal of development and learning of children, the experience gained when children reach the goal. The role of teachers and parents in achieving the objectives, materials needed for the implementation of the curriculum. Approach Reggio Emilia to early childhood education is committed to the manufacturing environment for learning that will enhance and facilitate the establishment of the power of thinking of children through the establishment of all expression, communication, and cognitive language or “through the synthesis of all the expressive, communicative, and cognitive languages”. Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education has attracted perhatianpendidik, researchers and almost anyone who is interested in early childhood education with the best practices. The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has revised its practice of developmentally appropriate (DAP). The guidelines also included examples of the Reggio Emilia approach. Currently, the Reggio Emilia approach has been adopted in the United States, Britain, New Zealand, Australia, India and many other countries. Indonesia has a great curriculum, only more leads to the teacher as the source of everything. There would need to make changes in the program for early childhood learning better future.

Abstract

Interpersonal intelligence is intelligence that includes many skills in to empathize and understand other people’s thoughts towards achieving the same purposein friendship braid. Traditional games as one form of play activities are believed to be able to provide benefits to children’s interpersonal intelligence in communicating and socializing. This study entitled “Improve the Interpersonal Intellegence Children 5-6 Years Throught Traditional Game” that aims to find out the process of the implementation of the activities of the traditional game play improved interpersonal intelligence, know the ages of 5-6 years. This type of research is research using modelaction Kemmis and McTaggart. Indicator of success in this study way 75%. The research result showed that interpersonal intelligence of children increased to 86% from the results of research of pre 26% rise in cycle I od 58% from the results it can be concluded that the traditional game play acrivities can enhance interpersonal intelligence chidren aged 5-6 years in the PAUD Negeri Terpadu Syeh Malka CIbadak, Lebak-Banten.

Abstract

Literacy of early childhood is a capability possessed by children related to the ability to read and write. One way to stimulate children’s early literacy is to use big book media. This study used descriptive study with cross sectional approach. Sampling technique used was multi stage sampling that is cluster sampling technique, proportionate sampling, and random sampling with samples of 56 children aged 5-6 years in 4 PAUD institutions in Cibaliung Sub district. Technique of collecting data through survey. Data analysis technique using Spearman Rank bivariate analysis (rs). The results showed the correlation coefficient between big book media with initial literacy ability of (rs) 0,828. Hypothesis testing obtained t count equal to 2.057> t table of 2.00488 and obtained the coefficient of determination of 0.685. So it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between the big book media on the ability of early literacy of children aged 5-6 years at early childhood institutions in Cibaliung District. Big influence given big book media on initial literacy ability equal to 68,5%.

Abstract

Cognitive abality is part of the brain thinking process in receiving and processing the information received so that children are able to remember, understand and apply all of their knowledge in solving simple problems. This research is conducted in A group of kindergarten of Islam Tirtayasa Serang - Banten. The method that used in this research is Quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. Sample in this research is 28 students. The researcher takes A1 group that consist of 14 students as an experiment class and A2 group that consist of 14 students as a control class. The instrument that used in this research is observe orientation of data analysis using SPSS 22 program. The result of the research indicates that the average of cognitive skill of control class in pre-test is 22,57. Besides, the experiment class is 23,92 and The average of students’ cognitive skill in control class are increased in post-test in the amount of 2,00 % and the average of students’ cognitive skill in experiment class are increased in post-test in the amount of 6,79%. It shows that there is the effect of using maze as educative games tools toward students cognitive skill in the age 4-5 years and the influence is 2.72%. so it can be concluded that maze as the educational game can influence the cognitive abilitis of children aged 4-5 years in kindergarten Islam tirtayasa city Serang-Banten

Abstract

Developing creativity is a long term process that should be started early. Appropriate stimulations needed to determine 80% brain development in a first 6 years of human life. Parents are the first environment where the chidren could grow their creativities and other potential. The research’s goal is to gain the information about the effects of parenting role towards 5-6 years old children creativity in Serang Banten. This research using survey methods with a sample size of 36 children and their parents. Sample taken randomly from all Kindergartens in 6 Kecamatan in Serang Banten. Data were analyzed using SPSS one way ANOVA. The study showed that children creativity from permissive parenting is higher than authoritarian and authoritative parenting, despite this does not indicate a significant effect between parenting style towards creativity. This may happen because the parents can not simply implementing one parenting in order to optimize creativity. Parents should implementing parenting style equally and it must be adjusted to the level of development and the uniqueness of each child. Research hypothesis is rejected may occur due to other factors. Other factors which thought to affect the development of children’s creativity such as parent education background, parents’ job, child birth order, and sex. Thus, researchers can conclude that the findings in the study showed no significant effect between parenting with 5-6 years old children creativity in Serang Banten.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to find out about language acquisition of deaf children in training and observation acquisition of deaf children in training and observation. Acquisition of letters, words and sentences. This research was conducted in special school Pangudi Luhur, west Jakarta on early childhood at least 2 years old and suffered hearing impairment at the time was yet to a master a language. Where is this place for 30 years of service without using the children sign language assistance. The method used in research is case study.The Process of data collection is done by observation, interviews, and document analysis. Validity of the data carried by the extension of participation, triangulation. The result of this study show deafchildren can acquire oral language even without the help of sign language. This study found that the oral and aural approach.

Abstract

Creativity as a child’s mental process which is able to produce new product that comes from the idea, a combination of new data and information from the surrounding circumstances. Based on the results of preliminary observations, the condition of child creativity is low, children react in the same way and can not develop their imagination. researchers provide action through print activities to make the activities in the classroom more enjoyable for children. The method used in this research is a method of action research consisting of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of several stages of planning, action and observation and reflection. In cycle I is given as many as 8 times action and in cycle II of meeting 2 research have been declared succeed with creativity success criteria reach 70%. Subjects in this study were children aged 5-6 years who are in BKB Package IQRO Serang-Banten consisting of 2 boys and 8 girls. Data collection techniques through field notes, observation, interview notes and documentation. Before the action, the observation results show a percentage of 27%. In the first cycle, children’s creativity increased by 57%, this shows an increase of 30% from pre-action to cycle I. From cycle II, the development of children has a significant increase reached 87%. in other words, the creativity of the child can be improved through the activities of printing using nature materials.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to (1) to know the initial state of fine motor of the child, (2) to know the learning process in applying the activity forming using clay media, (3) and to know the fine motor ability of the child through group B activity in Ar- Bantargebang Bekasi. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) consisting of two cycles, each cycle consisting of 8 actions, but for cycle II only used 4 times action just to find more valid data again. The subjects were 13 children of group B (aged 5-6 years) at Ar-Rofi Bantargebang Bekasi kindergarten consisting of 8 girls and 5 boys. Method of completion of data is done through observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis technique is done qualitatively and quantitatively, for success indicator in this research is 70%. The ability that passes the child changes after being given the action. Children have started to coordinate the movement of the eyes and hands and fingers in every activity. For that can be drawn conclusions have been successful.

Abstract

Independence is the ability to direct and control the feelings of oneself in thinking and acting, responsible, confident, and disciplined. Parenting is a parenting method and parenting method of dealing with children with the goal of shaping character, personality, and giving values for children to be able to adjust to the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference of children independence in terms of parenting and grandparents of children aged 5-6 years in Rangkasbitung East Lebak Banten. This research uses quantitative method with comparative research type, that is research compare between two or more groups in one variable. The population of 9 PAUDs in East Rangkasbitung Village is taken 4 PAUD as sample. From each PAUD taken 20 children who qualify as a sample, obtained 80 children from 4 early childhood consisting of 40 children who are raised by parents and 40 children are raised by grandparents. Data collection techniques used in this study is a questionnaire (questionnaire). The results showed that there are differences in children independence in terms of parenting and grandparents who can be seen from the analysis that is t count> t table (2.045> 1,990) and because sig <0,05 (0,044 <0,05), then H0 is rejected which means there is a significant difference in the independence of children in terms of parenting and grandparents parenting is the independence of children raised by parents higher than children cared for by grandparents. This can be seen from the calculation of the mean value of 123.55 for the independence of children raised by parents and 116.02 for the independence of children cared for by grandparents.

Abstract

Communication tools getting bolder lively variety of shapes, types and all means of communication have advantages of each. The more unique, more sophisticated with a wide range of applications in its sure to be a choice many circles without exception. The gadget is one of the communication tools that are familiar to those of us living in urban areas. Via Gadget looks like someone will be entertained with a variety of applications in it. But behind the entertainment Gadget meyimpan any information that can be positive if it is used wisely and can be negative if used without any clear time restrictions especially for early childhood.
