Abstract

Air Conditioning is one of the most energy-consuming infrastructure in a building, which makes it one of the things that an asset manager needs to pay special attention to. This research uses comparative method that compares the current AC usage scenario in Universitas Pertamina’s Griya Legita Building, which currently uses both split AC and cassette AC, with a scenario where the whole building only uses either split AC or cassette AC. The calculation shows that, although the first-year investment for new AC installation costs more than the current scenario, the scenario where the whole building uses only split AC is proven to be a more cost-efficient investment in the long run. The result of this research is an important asset for the asset manager of Universitas Pertamina to consider in order to save energy consumption cost in Universitas Pertamina.

Abstract

Energy security has become the main issue for Indonesia Government because Indonesia is targeted to be independent in energy field.To reach the goals NRE usage, there should be cooperations amongst all party : government, society, academicians as well as corporates. Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is a powerful application to deliver knowledge in the digital age while contributes to educate society about New and Renewable Energy (NRE). However, user requirements are needed before developing VLE to reveal existing conditions and understand the users’ behaviour. This paper purposes to understand the user requirements, who are university students, to contribute to NRE project. Research methods used are interview, observation and questionnaire. Interview was conducted with Lentera Bumi Nusantara who develops NRE technology especially wind turbine in Indonesia. Observation was done in Lentera Bumi Nusantara’s office and questionnaire was distributed amongst 92 students in Universitas Pertamina, Jakarta, Indonesia. The results show that university students are human resources needed in NRE project. Then, learning materials regarding how to build blade and wind turbine have not distributed to others. Furthermore, results show that 84% of university students are ready to contribute in NRE project. However, only 37% of university students own original idea for NRE project related to their academic background. To build the VLE to support NRE projects, there should be menu for university students to discuss online so they can share ideas regarding NRE and menu for contributing to NRE project in Indonesia.

Abstract

As a commitment for service improvement, Pertamina provides self-service gas station to reduce queue time and various non-cash payment methods such as debit and credit cards in cooperation with various banks, or subscription cards such as Gazcard which is issued by Pertamina. Nonetheless, these two services have not been integrated. Cashless payment is only available at conventional gas stations. This research proposes a new payment method for self-service stations using digital-wallet, a mobile-based applications, which will overcome the limitations of the existing payment methods at self-service gas station in terms of the guarantee payment for each transaction even when there is no operators around and the flexibility of payment in accordance with the volume of gasoline pumped out from dispenser. In addition, some modifications are also made toward the dispenser so that the dispenser is able to read the customer ID and communicate with the backend system of the mobile application. Implementation of this prototype is expected to improve service at SPBU by reducing queue time, improve company efficiency by reducing the number of operators in gas station. Furthermore, mobile applications can be utilized as communication channel with customers in order to improve customer engagement. In the long run, data obtained from recorded transactions can be used for various analyzes such as customer needs identification, loyalty program analysis, and provide additional services based on pattern captured from the data.

Abstract

The development of e-commerce and intelligent transportation systems makes logistics activities an important and ever increasing part of people's lives. The speed of freight transportation makes logistics companies more competitive and the costs incurred for distribution are issues of concern. Couriers in a delivery company are one of the main operational strengths, so the determination of the route must be well defined. This study discusses the creation of routing system and proposed business processes for the delivery company (PT. X) by applying the Asymmetric Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (ACVRP) using Simulated Annealing metaheuristic algorithm with a trade-off between the total distance and the maximum distance of one route 0.1; 0.5; and 0.9. The routing system optimization is adjusted to the needs of the decision maker to focus its route determination, whether it is focused on the total distance or the maximum distance of one route. The proposed business process can saves as much as 2 hours.

Abstract

Optical Beamforming Networks (OBFNs) is used to optimized the received signal power in airplane-satellite communication by controlling the signal beams towards the desired direction.  The control of these OBFNs is a difficult and very complex nonlinear problem. The complexity of OBFN can be reduced by lowering the bandwidth of the modulated optical signals at its inputs. It can be achieved by performing optical single-sideband suppressed-carrier (SSB-SC) modulation. However, there is potential problem due to the fact that the phase relation between the optical carrier and the remaining sideband is lost when the group delay response is only optimized for the sideband frequency range. Optical phase synchronization is used to correct this issue by adding extra phase shifters. However, there is not any simple yet effective method to determine the value of the extra phase shifters needed for a certain OBFN. This paper propose a simple and computationally cheap feedback approximation approach to solve this problem.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of organizational commitment, job satisfaction, job insecurity to nurses turnover intention with locus of control as moderating variable. The sample comprised 150 nurses across a wide range of departments of a X hospital in Samarinda, East Kalimantan by using purposive sampling method who have been working from minimum 6 months. Following data collection, linear regression and hierarchical linear regression analysis to conduct data analysis. As the result, there is a significant negative effect of organizational commitment on nurses turnover intention. Job satisfaction has significant negative effect on nurses turnover intention and a significant job insecurity has significant positive effect on nurses turnover intention. However, locus of control does not plays as moderating variable on the effect of organizational commitment, job satisfaction and job insecurity on turnover intention. The findings of this study provide practical contribution and recommendation for organization to enhancing organizational commitment, job satisfaction and managing job insecurity.

Abstract

Fingerprints is one of biometric identification system. This is because fingerprints have unique and different pattern in every human, so identification using fingerprints can no longer be doubted. But, manual fingerprint recognition by human hard to apply because of the complex pattern on it. Therefore, an accurate fingerprint matching system is needed. There are 3 steps needed for fingerprint recognition system, namely image enhancement, feature extraction, and matching. In this study, crossing number method is used as a minutiae extraction process and template matching is used for matching. We also add alignment point pattern  process added, which are ridge translation and  rotation to increase system performance. The system provide a performance of 18,54% with a matching process without alignment point pattern, and give performance of 67,40% by adding alignment point pattern process.

Abstract

This study shows how Indonesian’s competitiveness of the main export commodities after the implementation of ASEAN-Australia New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA) is. Controversy whether a country will gain  from trade liberalisation or not is proved by the results of this study. Using two analysis tools which are compared, Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) dan Normalized Revealed Comparative Advantage (NRCA), it is concluded that Indonesia gains from AANZFTA. The main commodities of Indonesia which have high competitiveness in the market of ASEAN and ANZ are oil and gas i.e, natural gas, petroleum oil and coal, and non-oil and gas i.e, crude palm oil and cigarette. Although it gains, it needs to be alert on the loss since there is a tendency of competitiveness decresence for Indonesian commodities in ASEAN and ANZ market. Indonesia is expected to do inovation and to develop sustainable products offering high competitiveness and value added in the fututre. Products related on sources of renewable energy are potentially recommended.

Abstract

In this research, Cengkareng substation serves the burden which in every year is increasing. So in this study a system of estimating the load power at the substation was made as a result of forecasting for the following year using the Time Series Decomposition model method which was then analyzed from the existing transformer capacity. The Time Series Decomposition model method is a method of combining Trend, Seasonal and Cycle to predict the electrical load power of a substation. In this study, the development of the system uses the CRISP-DM method so that the work becomes more ordered and the testing is done with MAD, MSE and MAPE to verify the error value in the forecasting results. From this study, it produces an error value of MAD and MAPE of 9.11%. These results, prove that the Time Series Decomposition model method can be used to assist in estimating the Power Load in Cengkareng Substation.

Abstract

The government of Indonesia supports the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMes) by providing many programs to accelerate their business. UMKM Go Digital is one of the program provides easier access for SMEs into digital market. However, the participation rate was relatively low as less than 5%. This research aims to investigate the problem by integrating two theories in technology adoption, which are the Task Technology Fit (TTF) and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT)-then developed as UTAUT2. The research model explains 84,5% and 88,7% variation in TTF and use behaviour of UMKM Go Digital, respectively. The result also confirms that age, gender and education level have not affected the adoption. Future research should consider to extend the originated-location of the SMEs and the number of the participants as well to gain more comprehensive results
