Abstract

Warisan et al, 2019.The Content of Lysine and Growth of Snakehead Fish (Channa striata) Fed by Different Feed. pp. 384-393. Essential amino acids are amino acids that cannot be synthesized by the body so that they require outside intake. One of the essential amino acids in snakehead fish is lysine. Lysine plays a role in the process of antibody formation, blood circulation and growth. The feed given to snakehead fish that is cultivated also determines the content of snakehead lysine. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of lysine and the growth of snakehead fish fed differently. The study was conducted from May to July 2018 at Laboratorium Kolam Percobaan, Faculty of Agriculture and Laboratorium Bioproses, Faculty of Engineering of Sriwijaya University. The study was designed using a completely randomized design with three treatments, each repeated four times. The Treatments are the different types of feed given, P1 fish were given commercial feed with 32% protein; P2 fish is given commercial feed with 32% protein and 3.5% black cumin added; P3 fish are fed with fresh water and sea water fish flesh in a ratio of 1: 1. Fish cultured is carried out for 30 days in hapa in a concrete pond. Density of fish is 2 fish per liter. Fish are fed at satiation with a frequency of three times a day. The snakehead fish treated with freshwater and marine trash fish produced the highest increase in lysine content, which was 0.060 mg / ml while P1 was 0.024 mg / ml and P2 0.031 mg / ml. The absolute growth of snakehead fish in each treatment was P1 1.34 cm; P2 1.24 cm; P3 is 1.93 cm and absolute weight growth is P1 2.31 g; P2 2.17 g; P3 3.58 g. The results showed that different types of feed were not significantly affected the levels of snakehead fish lysine but significantly affected the growth of snakehead fish.

Abstract

Hamidson et al, 2019. Anthracnose Disease (Colletotrichum spp.) of Chilli (Capsicum annum L) in Ogan Ilir District. pp. 129-137.Anthracnose disease is one of the obstacles in the production of red chili in the field, and is ranked first among fungal diseases. This study aims to determine the procedures and habits of farmers in cultivating red chilli plants in the field, namely the layout of the mounds and evaluation of the use of fungicides. Plant samples were taken randomly for each plot of 80 plants the plants were every harvesting  six times for 3. The percentage of disease incidence, disease severity and the extent of the curvature of the anthracnose disease (incidence and severity of the disease) showed a significant difference in the order of the mound plot. The results of evaluating the use of fungicides in vitro showed a significant difference in growth inhibitors of Colletotrichum spp.

Sirait et al, 2019. Maintaining of Seed Garden for Suboptimal Area in PT Binasawit Makmur. pp. 360-365.   Continual improvement of seed production is very important to fulfill of oil palm sprouts demand. To fulfill that demand, suboptimal land factor that so far being limiting factors should be minimized so that’s not to inhibit the production of oil palm seeds. This reasearch aim was maintaining of seed garden for suboptimal area  in PT Binasawit Makmur.  PT. Binasawit Makmur, Sampoerna Agro Tbk. is one of the seed producers in Indonesia which has the selected Dura mains planted on suboptimal land were located on Mesuji Districts, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatera Province. Maintaining of Dura palm strategy is needed by stricty Quality Control of processes and environmental conditions in the field to produce quality seeds. Optimalization of seed production on sub-optimal land are by adding organic matter to the soil and applying irrigation systems to the selected elite Dura palms. The addition of organic matter and applying of irrigation systems can made continuity of seed production with optimal quality and quantity so that the demand for oil palm sprouts for custumer satisfaction.

Performance of Oil Palm in Dry Sesason in South Sumatera: Effect of Water Deficit on Plant Phenology. pp. 67-73.South Sumatra has a Monsoon type of rainfall that is a clear difference between the rainy and the dry season. Rainfall distribution cause successive dry months resulting in a water deficit. Water deficit can affect the performance of oil palm. The purpose of this study was to determine the phenology response of the appearance of midribs, male and female flowers to the variability of the season in South Sumatra. This study used a completely randomized design with 2 genotypes is Nigeria 3 and Nigeria 4 with 2 replications so that there were 4 units of experimental plots, where each plot consisted of 12 palms. Based on the results of observations it is known that plants that experience stress due to water deficit are indicated by the number of spear leaves> 4, and decrease of female flowers.

Hidayati et al, 2019. Efficiency of Rice Waste Rice Production Factors in Ogan Ilir District, South Sumatera. pp. 249-259.The Province of South Sumatra has produced rice from four typologies, namely: irrigated rice fields, rain fed, tidal and non-receding tidal swamps (lebak). The development of agriculture in swamps faces obstacles both in the biophysics of land and water, pre-harvest and post-harvest handling as well as socio-economic. However, it must be admitted that the development of tidal land and lebak land is increasingly important to support national rice production. The right allocation of production factors is an important factor in increasing rice production, including land, seeds, labor, fertilizers, and pesticides. Therefore, to increase farmers production and income, it is necessary to study what factors influence the production of lebak paddy rice farming and evaluate the performance of farmers in rice cultivation so that the level of efficiency of the use of production facilities for rice production is obtained in the field of lebak rice, especially in Ogan Regency Ilir. The research method used is a simple random sampling method. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The results of this study: There are four explanatory variables that significantly influence the production of lebak rice, namely land, seeds, urea fertilizer, pesticide use. While the other three have no significant effect, namely Sp-36 (P) fertilizer, phonska fertilizer (NPK) and labor deployment. Production factors that have been efficient in their use in lebak paddy rice farming are seeds, urea fertilizer, NPK fertilizer and pesticides and labor while the SP-36 fertilizer is inefficient. The income analysis found that the average lebak rice production was 4,144.64 kg / ha / mt / year. Average income is Rp 15,977,539.42 per hectare.

Yamin et al, 2019. The Correlations of Farmer Characteristics With Wellbeing of Paddy Farmers in Pelabuhan Dalam Village Pemulutan Subdistrict Ogan Ilir Regency. pp. 270-280.The wellbeing measurement not only based on qualitative, but also leads to a condition of subjective wellbeing. The different of farmer characteristics will make the different result of objective wellbeing and subjective wellbeing The purposes of this research were to : (1) measure the objective wellbeing of paddy farmers in Pelabuhan Dalam Village Pemulutan Subdistrict Ogan Ilir Regency, (2) measure of subjective wellbeing of paddy farmers in Pelabuhan Dalam Village Pemulutan Subdistrict Ogan Ilir Regency, (3) analyze the correlation between the characteristics of paddy farmers with subjective wellbeing of Paddy Farmers in Pelabuhan Dalam Village Pemulutan Subdistrict Ogan Ilir Regency. This research was conducted in Pelabuhan Dalam Village Pemulutan Subdistrict Ogan Ilir Regency on May 2018. The research method used was survey method, with the sampling method was simple random sampling and took 30 sample. The results showed there were 18 farmers or 60 percent above poverty line and 12 farmers or 40 percent below poverty line. The subjective wellbeing of Paddy Farmers in Pelabuhan Dalam Village Pemulutan Subdistrict Ogan Ilir was included in the high category with an average score of 99,37 (score range 93,35 < x ≤120,00). Based on the calculation of rank Spearman correalation obtained there is no correlation between age and number of family members with subjective wellbeing, and there were correlation between formal education and total income with subjective wellbeing.

Astuti et al, 2019. Time Allocation Analysis of Upland Rice Farm  Households in Sukabumi Regency. pp. 281-286.  This study aimed to analyze time allocation of household upland rice farm in Sukabumi regency. This study uses a survey method with the location of the study and the respondent farmers are chosen deliberately. The results showed that non-agricultural activities play an important role for the rural economy, especially for upland rice farm households, their roles not only in income but also in the allocation of household work. Time allocation of male labor is higher than female labor, both in agricultural and non-agricultural activities.

Widodo et al, 2019. Social Economic Studies of Several New Superior Rice Varieties on Sub-Optimal Area in Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. pp. 456-464. This research aimed to analyze social economic studies of several new superior rice varieties on sub-optimal area in Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. Social Economic studies on several new rice superior varieties on sub-optimal area has been implemented in “Gabungan Kelompok Tani Kumpul Makaryo, Nglanggeran, Patuk, Gunungkidul Yogyakarta from February to June 2018. New superior rice  varieties such as  Inpago 5, Inpago 8, Inpago 10, Inpari 42 Agritan GSR, Inpari 43 Agritan GSR and a check variety namely Ciherang were used in this study. Economic data input and output were analyzed for it’s feasibility of farming (B/C ratio). Organoleptic tests carried out by the level of preference as much as 25 repondens.Variabel panelists assessed texture / kepulenan, flavor, aroma, color and joy in general. Data indicated that those new five superior rice varieties feasible to develop proven B / C ratio ranged from 2.02 for Inpari 43 GSR to 2.90 for Inpari 42 GSR. Meanwhile, Ciherang as a populair variety gave B/C ratio only 1.88 . The most preferred taste of rice was Inpari 42 GSR and Inpago 5. While the productivity of the most preferred were Inpari 42 GSR and Inpago 10. It was suggested that those new rice superior varieties above mentioned must be developed in rainfed areas other than Nglanggeran-Patuk, to achieve increasing rice production in Gunungkidul dry land.

Effectiveness of Time and Dosage for Giving NPK to the Production of Sweet Corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) in the Highlands. pp. 28-31. Sweet corn plants will not provide maximum results if the nutrients needed are not enough. Fertilization can increase yields quantitatively and qualitatively. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fertilizing time and the ideal dose for sweet corn. This research was carried out in Mojorejo Village, Selupu Rejang District, Rejang Lebong Regency at an altitude of + 0.050 meters above sea level (m asl). This study uses Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAKF). Observations and measurements were carried out on the main variables in the form of fruit weight, ear length and ear diameter without cornhusk (generative parts) as well as supporting variables such as plant height and number of leaves (vegetative parts). All data are analyzed by variance, and if F table is greater than F, the count is tested further using DMRT. The results showed 50 grams of NPK fertilizer significantly different from the average plant height and not significantly different from fertilization time.

Growth enhancement main plant under N, P, and K fertilizer to high ratoon rice potential. pp. 242-248.Nitrogen, phosphor  and potassium  distribution could improve vegetative growth of main plant high potential rice ratoon.  The objective this research was to evaluation vegetative growth  of rice ratoon national varieties with nitrogen, phosphor, and potassium fertilizer.  Using plit plot design with three replicate. Varieties (G) main plot (G1: inpari 6, G2: inpari 10 and G3: inpari 29).  Fertilizer (P) sub plot (P1= Urea 250 kg ha-1, TSP 100 kg ha-1 dan KCl 50 kg ha-1. P2=  Urea  300 kg ha-1, TSP 150 kg ha-1 dan KCl 100 kg ha-1. P3= Urea 300 kg ha-1, TSP 200 kg ha-1 dan KCl 150 kg ha-1).  The result show that inpari 29 significant growth as if plant height, growth tillers inisiation, maximum tillers , flowers inisiation, productive tillers. The fertilizer treatment of  Urea  300 kg ha-1, TSP 150 kg ha-1 dan KCl 100 kg ha-1 beter forvegetative growth.
