Abstract

This research was aimed to know the effect of using documentary film on the tenth grade students’ achievement of SMKN 1 Guguk. The design of the research was randomized control group only design. The population of the research was all of the tenth grade students of SMKN 1 Guguk who were registered in 2010/2011 academic year. The sample of the research was chosen by using purposive random sampling technique in which Contruction class was as control group and Electronic was as experimental group. After analyzing the data, it could be concluded that there was an effect of using documentary film on the tenth grade students’ achievement of SMKN 1 Guguk.Kata kunci: media film documenter Harun Yahya, pembelajaran IPA kelas X SMK, hasil belajar

Abstract

This research was done to see the practicability of learning material based E-Learning that was developed in Kalkulus Peubah Banyak 1 (KPB 1). The practicability of this material was seen from the easiest of using this material by the students. The design of this research was research development. The research instrument was interview. The data from interview was analyzed by using descriptive analysis. Based on the analysis of interview to the students, it was known that the learning material based E-Learning that was developed was practicable in side of use, the content, and the easiest of using it.Kata kunci: praktis, bahan ajar, e-learning.

Abstract

The goal of this research was to know: “Was the students’ understanding of mathematics concept who were taught by using ‘Stratagem’ Method through cooperative learning better than conventional Method.” The research method was Quasi Experimental Research, Post-test Only Control Design. Data was collected from the test. From data data analysis, it was found that the students’ understanding of mathematics concept who were taught by using ‘Stratagem’ Method through cooperative learning was better than conventional Method. Abstract

The problem of this reseach was the lack of the teachers’ knowledge and understanding about the evaluation of students’ achievement. This research was descriptive research (correlation research). The population of this research was all Islamic elementary school teachers at Tanah Datar regency. They are about 319 teachers. The sample of this research was 98 teachers. The sample was selected by using stratified propotional random sampling technique that is through cohcran technique. The instrument of this research was questionnaire (Linkert scale). The evaluation of students’ achievement was variable Y, and supervisors’ supervision was variable X2. And, the teachers’ knowledge of evaluation (variable X1) was analyzed by using objective test.The result of the research showed that: 1) there is any correlation between the teachers’ understanding of avaluation to the teachers’ achievement of evaluation of Islamic teachers at elemeantary schools at Tanah Datar regency, 2) there is any correlation between the supervisors’ supervision to the teachers’ achievement of evaluation of Islamic teachers at elemeantary schools at Tanah Datar regency, 3) the teachers’ anderstanding and their supervision of evaluation influenced the teachers’ achievement of evaluation of Islamic teachers at elemeantary schools at Tanah Datar regency.Kata kunci: pengetahuan evaluasi, supervisi pengawas, kinerja evaluasi guru

Abstract

A group of the same age was the second environment for specific individu in interacting with others in his/her environment. It became an intercation medium by this group to explore their knowledge. In real life, it usually took much influence on students’ attitude rather than parents’ influence. The group might play an important role on one’s characteristic such as way of thinking, knowledge, understanding, attitude, interest, hobby, wish, performance, and behaviour in daily activities. Therefore, educational value had to be kept and developed in this group was as follows: the value of honest, initiative, responsibility, groupwork, wanting to share, respectfulness,discipline, and so on.Kata kunci: nilai pendidikan, kelompok sebaya

Ordinary language philosophy was one of the streams of analical language philosophies that had layed on how language was used. This became basic principle in studying pragmatic in lingusitic study. Abstract

The main objective of learning English is using English as a means of communication. One of the ways for the teachers to make the students use English as a means of communicationis using appropriate techniques which match with the learners’ characteristics in teaching speaking. Unfortunately, the fact shows that many teachers still do not know the appropriate techniques to teach speaking for the students. They frequently teach speaking using translation and memorizing techniques, whereas, those techniques are not appropriate with the characteristics of young learners. In this case, the teachers have to know the applicable techniques for teaching speaking to the students to achieve the main objective of teaching English. Abstract

The students have a problem in comprehending the text in listening comprehension. It was prompted by the idea that metacognitive stratetegies is the crucial important to solve the problem in listening comprehension. By using these strategies, it helped students to plan, monitor, solve, and evaluate their learning to foster their listening comprehension. One of strategy in metacognitive is planning strategies.  This article is intendedto find out what planning  of metacognitive strategies used by students and  the way they apply it in listening comprehension.Based on the research has conducted by the researcher, The students had applied metacognitive strategies but some of them did not do it in the correct ways in listening comprehension.  It can be concluded that the result of the study indicated that the planning of metacognitive strategies used by the students in listening comprehension need to be develop and increase in to the correct ways to get better comprehension in listening.Key words:    metacognitive strategies, planning strategies, listening comprehension.

Abstract

Teaching students  to speak English is not an easy task. The teachers shoud consider and think hard about several points to be done: to  make the students motivated to speak English, to keepthem speaking the new language, and to make them have accuracy in speaking the language, and  to correct the students’ mistakes without feeling being  blamed or discouraged. To handle the difficult  tasks previously mentioned, the English teachers should find a solution. Teaching the students through unforgettable, interesting experiences might be one of the solutions that they can choose. Abstract

In this global and modern era, the interaction between a teacher and students still could be done after teaching and learning process in the classroom because of the development of information technology. This research was aimed to to design electronic teaching materials based Mobile-Learning (M-Learning). This teaching material was designed by using the 4D Model which was reducted to become 3D: Define, Design, and Develop. The target of doing this research was electronic teaching materials based Mobile-Learning (M-Learning) at “Optik” (Optics) subject. This teaching material was presented by using electronic medium such as phonecell or tablet because they were very easy to bring whenever and wherever. Based on the result of the research, optics based M-Learning had been successfully designed and useful for students in learning process.Kata kunci: bahan ajar optik, mobile learning
