The study aims to determine the ability to recognize geometric forms through media puzzles (unloading pairs) in early childhood 4-5 years in TK Pertiwi, Gowa Regency. This research is a classroom action research with 30 research subjects. Data collection techniques use puzzles (unloading). The study was conducted through two cycles, with each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of data analysis obtained in the first cycle the average percentage of completeness in learning the introduction of geometric forms have not reached the indicator that is equal to 54.81%, while the average percentage of completeness in learning the introduction of geometric shapes in students in the second cycle activities has developed which is very good at 78.89%. This study shows a significant increase in the introduction of geometry. The results of this research show that puzzle games can improve the introduction of geometry in 4-5 year old children in TK Pertiwi, Gowa Regency.Keywords: Geometry, Puzzle Games (Unloading)
The study aimed to describe the ability to read through the SAS method and to know the effectiveness of the application of the SAS method in improving the ability to read the beginning of the first grade students of SD Inpres Bontomanai, Tamalate District, Makassar City. This research is a class action research with 30 subjects as the first grade students. The data collection technique used uses test and observation techniques. The results showed that: the ability to read the first grade students of SD Inpres Bontomanai Makassar through the application of the SAS method can improve students 'reading comprehension based on the data obtained, namely the students' ability to read in the qualitative and quantitative aspects (average reading ability test results beginning), namely: cycle I in the sufficiently capable category with a value of 53.66, then increases to the category of being able to read the beginning of the second cycle with a value of 65.5.Keywords: Reading Beginning, SAS method
This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Extending Concept Method Through Language Activities (ECOLA) in Improving Reading Comprehension Skills for Class X Students of Enrekang 1 High School and to examine the effectiveness of student learning outcomes by using Extending Concept Method Through Language Activities (ECOLA) with conventional models in improving refined text reading skills. The type of research used is a quantitative approach with method expriment. The research variable consists of two, namely the application of the Extending Concept strategy method through Language Activities (ECOLA) as an independent variable (X) and learning to write letters as dependent variables (Y). The research design used in this study was experimental research using a quasi-experimental method with the initial test design and final test of the control group and experimental group with random samples (Therandomized pretest-posttest control grouf design. The results of this study indicate Extending Concept methods Through Language Activities ( ECOLA) is effective in improving the reading skills of text comprehension in class X students of SMA Enrekang 1 and there are differences in the effectiveness of student learning outcomes by using the Extending Concept method Through Language Activities (ECOLA) with conventional models in improving reading comprehension skills.Keywords: Extending Concept Through Language Activities, Reading Understanding.
The purpose of this study was to improve social studies learning outcomes through the application of the Talking Stick Type Cooperative Learning Model to fifth grade students of SD Inpres Punranga, Pujananting District, Barru Regency. The approach used in this study is a Qualitative approach with this type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) in its implementation consists of 2 (two) cycles, where each cycle consists of 2 meetings. The focus of the fifth grade teacher and student research was in SD Inpres Punrangan, Pujananting District, Barru Regency. Data collection techniques in research are observation, testing and documentation. The subject of this study The subjects of this study were fifth grade students of SD Inpres Punranga, Pujananting District, Barru District, with 21 students consisting of 12 men and 10 women. The results showed that the implementation of cooperative learning type talking stick was able to improve social studies learning outcomes. This is indicated by an increase in student learning activities and outcomes. The increase can be seen in the comparison of the first cycle the number of students who complete the complete percentage is 42.86% which is categorized as being. The purpose of this study was to improve language skills in children aged 5-6 years through media role playing in kindergarten. Country 7 Leko Bontomarannu Village Moncongloe District Maros Regency. The approach used in this study is a Qualitative approach with this type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) in its implementation consists of 2 (two) cycles, where each cycle consists of 3 meetings. Research focus on children's language skills. Data collection techniques in research are observation and documentation. The subjects of this study were group B children aged 5-6 years. The results showed that children's language skills in the 5-6 year age group in Kindergarten Negeri 7 Leko in Bontomarannu Village, Moncongloe District, Maros Regency had improved quite well. Improvement achieved by children in language skills where children have been able to retell activities that have been carried out simply. Children are able to mention the types of goods traded in the buying and selling process, children are able to offer goods that are traded, children are able to mention the price of goods sold, receive money and return it appropriately.Keywords: Ability to Speak and Play Role
The purpose of this study was to determine the level of difficulty of grade IV students of SD Negeri 138 Basokeng, Bulukumba Regency in describing sketches of building space, mentioning parts of a building space, describing the nets of a building space, and knowing the factors of learning difficulties of fourth grade students 138 Basokeng Public Elementary School, Bulukumba Regency in solving the problems of building space. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research and this research variable is the difficulty of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 138 Basokeng, Bulukumba Regency in learning mathematics on the subject of building space. The location in this study was 138 Public Elementary School Basokeng and the subject was all fourth grade students of 138 Basokeng Public Elementary School, Bulukumba, in the year 2017-2018, which amounted to 16 people. The instruments and data collection techniques in this study are learning outcomes tests and interview guidelines. The results showed the percentage score of difficulty in drawing sketches of space was 60.93%, the difficulty was categorized as "moderate", the percentage score of difficulty in mentioning parts of space was 66.87% of the difficulties categorized as "high" and the percentage score difficulty in describing space-built nets are 62.5%, the difficulty is categorized as "medium".Keywords: Mathematics Learning Difficulties

This study aims to improve the ability to recognize the concept of numbers through number playing cards for Group B children at TK Tunas Kasih Makassar. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research conducted collaboratively between researchers and classroom teachers. The technique of collecting data through observation and documentation. The instrument used is the observation sheet (check list). Data analysis techniques were carried out in qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in the ability to recognize the concept of numbers after learning through the activity of playing cards. The percentage in cycle I is the child who develops according to expectations, there are 7 children (63.64%) while in silus II has achieved the success indicator, namely children who develop according to expectations there are 4 children (27.27%), while children who develop very well (BSB) there are 7 children (54.55%).Keywords: Concept of Numbers, Number Card Games.
This study aims to determine the improvement of children's early reading skills through the use of word card media in the Kartika XX-5 Kindergarten of Makassar City. This study provides information on the ability of early reading through the use of word cards in children in kindergarten. The type of research used is using Classroom Action Research. The location of this study was TK Kartika XX-5 in Makassar City with the subject being group B children with 15 students. The instruments used in this study were observation / documentation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the use of word cards can improve initial reading. The use of word card media in the learning process can help children improve their initial reading skills. Increasing these abilities in terms of students are able to recognize letters / words, connect images with letter symbols / words, and are able to call the symbols of vowels and consonants that are known around the environment.Keywords: Beginning Reading, Word Card Media
This research is aimed to find out whether or not the implementation of Number Head Together (NHT) technique improve the students’ reading skill on hortatory exposition text. During the researcher’s observation, it was found that students’ ability in reading was still low. The implementation of this research is starting by doing an observation and pre-test. Researcher then gave the treatment by teaching how to read and understand hortatory exposition text by using Number Head Together (NHT) Technique. Number Head Together (NHT) technique consists of four steps: numbering each student, asking questions, head together, and answering questions. The method of this research was quasi-experimental study. There were two group namely experimental group and control group. This research was conducted for six meeting. The last step of this research is doing a post-test and analyze the data taken from the test of hortatory exposition text.
