Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi isyarat ilmiah yang terdapat pada QS. Al-A’raf ayat 54, dan software yang dapat digunakan untuk memvisualisasikannya. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi literatur dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada QS. Al-A’raf ayat 54, terdapat penggalan ayat: يُغۡشِى ٱلَّيۡلَ ٱلنَّہَارَ يَطۡلُبُهُ : Dia menutupkan malam kepada siang  yang mengikutinya dengan cepat. Penggalan ayat tersebut dapat dibaca takhfif yakni yughshi dan dibaca tasydid, yakni yughashshi. Penggalan ayat tersebut diartikan keduanya itu saling menutupi yang lain silih – berganti (yang mengikutinya) masing-masing di antara keduanya itu mengikuti yang lainnya dengan cepat. Pada penggalan ayat tersebut mengandung isyarat ilmiah tentang rotasi yang dapat diindera dengan adanya gerak semu harian matahari, bertambah dan berkurangnya intensitas cahaya matahari di bumi ketika tengah malam, fajar kadzib (zodiacal light), fajar shadiq (twilight), pagi, siang, tengah hari, sore, senja, dan malam. Peristiwa rotasi tersebut dapat divisualisasikan dengan animasi menggunakan software Microsof excel, Microsoft powerpoint, Macromedia flash, Phet, dan Modellus. Dengan demikian pembelajaran IPA/Fisika yang terintegrasi menjadi lebih optimal. This study aims to identify scientific cues found in Qs. al-A'raf verse 54, and software that can be used to visualize it. Data obtained through literature studies with descriptive analysis. The results showed that in Qs. al-A'raf verse 54, there is a fragment of the verse: يُغۡشِى ٱلَّيۡلَ ٱلنَّہَارَ يَطۡلُبُهُ (translated: He closed the night to noon). The fragment of the verse can be read takhfif i.e. yughshi, (read tasydid: yughashshi). The fragment of the verse means that both of them cover each other one another - alternately (which follows) each of them follows the other quickly. In the verse contains scientific signals about the rotation and revolution of the earth that can be sensed by the daily pseudo motion of the sun, increasing and decreasing the intensity of sunlight on earth at midnight, dawn of kadzib (zodiacal light), dawn of shadiq (twilight), morning, afternoon, midday, evening, dusk and night. Rotation and revolution events can be visualized with animations using Microsoft Excel software, Microsoft Powerpoint, Macromedia Flash, Phet, and Modellus. Thus integrated science learning becomes more optimal.

Abstract

This research aims at figuring out what are problems faced by students when dub adapted visual novel from English to English and to know the solution coping the problems. This is descriptive qualitative research where the object is a SPARRING group consisting of 10 mentees and 2 mentor. The data gathered through observation, interview and document analysis. The results indicate that mentee tend to have improper understanding of the original story, difficulties in having clear recording, hard to pronounce words correctly and finally, making inconsistent emergence between the voice and the writing.

Abstract

Technology takes crucial part in this 21st century, hence the educators have to deal with it and implement it in teaching and learning process. Blended learning emerges as fresh air for educators who want to maximize the advantages of face-to-face and e-learning environment. Nowadays, they should also adapt with the contemporary literacy called multimodal literacy to enhance meaning-making by using multimodal text in teaching and learning process. This is a case study that has aims to explore teacher’s and students’ perspectives in empowering students’ multimodal literacies in blended learning setting in teaching-learning writing as well as the reflection of teacher’s perspective in implementation. The participants of the research are a teacher and 24 students of English education department from one of undergraduate schools in Indonesia.  Data includes classroom observation and interview. The finding of this study revealed that the use of multimodal text in a blended learning setting gives many advantages for teacher and students in empowering students’ multimodal literacy. This study also found that the teacher’s perspective reflected the implementation of multimodal text in a blended learning setting. It also had contribution to support the development of educational technology and to improve students’ writing ability.

Abstract

Kerusakan lingkungan hidup yang terjadi adalah karena ulah tangan manusia itu sendiri yaitu kurangnya rasa peduli lingkungan yang dimiliki. Oleh karenanya, nilai-nilai budaya peduli lingkungan ini akan lebih baik jika ditanamkan sejak dini pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan di Sekolah Menengah Assalihiyah Thungphla, Khokpho, Pattani, Thailand Selatan beserta faktor-faktor yang menjadi penunjang dan penghambat dalam penanaman karakter peduli lingkungan pada siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research) dan bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan di Sekolah Menengah Assalihiyah dititikberatkan pada masalah menjaga kebersihan lingkungan yang berdasarkan hadits Rasulullah Saw. yaitu kebersihan merupakan bagian dari iman. Penanaman karakter peduli lingkungan ini termasuk realisasi program Green Environment seperti yang berlaku di negara Indonesia. Pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan diberikan dengan berbagai model salah satunya keteladanan. Kedua,  faktor penunjang pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan di sini adalah kebiasaan siswa di rumah yang rajin dan peran serta guru. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya adalah sifat malas siswa dan kondisi luar masyarakat yang berbeda. The environmental damage that occurs is because of the human hands themselves, namely the lack of a sense of care for the environment they have. Therefore, cultural values that care about the environment will be better if they are instilled early on in the students. This study aims to find out the environmentally caring character education in Assalihiyah Thungphla Middle School, Khokpho, Pattani, Southern Thailand along with the factors that are supporting and inhibiting the cultivation of environmental caring characters in students. This type of research is field research and is qualitative descriptive. Data of this study were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of character education in Assalihiyah Middle School was focused on the problem of maintaining environmental cleanliness. The cultivation of character caring for the environment includes the realization of the Green Environment program as applicable in Indonesia. Environmental care character education is provided with various models, one of which is exemplary. The supporting factors for character education in the environment here are the habit of diligent home students and the participation of teachers, while the inhibiting factor is the laziness of students and different conditions outside the community.

Abstract

Religious discourse is one of the most important aspects to be examined in order to understand a social system where religious authorities play a very vital role. Religions have always shaped society in various ways; while at times there have been issues related to religious persecution, at other times religions have also lead to national and societal unity among people. Religious leaders, who are called as ulama in Islam, have the authority and the dominant power to articulate any religious discourse by means of texts, both in written and spoken formats for establishing a social system. There is a strong relationship between the ulama and the ummat which means the believers in an Islamic society. This relationship is often commented with other discourses such as politics, economics and other important ideas in a society. These discourses play a critical role in creating power dominance through creating an authoritarian system where the ulamas feel very convenient to give a verdict on the society regarding any political or social issues. It seems that the ulamas have unquestioned power regarding religion and they use it conveniently in order to superimpose their views even if they are partisan and parochial.Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama  ( NU) are the biggest Islamic social organization not only in Indonesia but also in the world. Both Islamic organisations have shifted the socio-religious discourses in Indonesia. Muhammadiyah which is earlier established, is well known as modernist Islamic organisation that is very keen to concern on philanthropy. While NU is traditionalist Sunni Islam group and it is as the biggest Islamic social organisation in Indonesia. This organisation was established on January 31, 1926 to preserve the local culture and maintain Aswaja (Ah-al-Sunnah wal Jama’ah) in Indonesia.  Abdurrahman Wahid, the grandson of NU founder Hasyim Asyari, inherited the leadership from his father, and was later elected Presiden of the Republic of Indonesia in 1999. The NU is visible in the form of accepted traditional culture which is as part of Indonesian culture.  The conggres of NU on 1-5 August 2015 declares itself as Islam Nusantara (Archipelagic Islam). This is an ijtihad, theological judgements based on the fundementals of religion, to elevate Islam as rahmat lil ‘alamiin (blessing for the entire universe). It is a concept of Islam which teaches its adherents to live together with others. Besides, this concept is also used to decrease social tensions between Islam and  local cultures that have been existed before Islam entering to the society. For Muhammadiyah, Islam is not merely teaching peace but Islam should be progressive in the peaceful coexistence. Therefore Islam is not a religion as such, it is also civilisation.The issues are strongly relevant to current situation of Mulsims in the East and West, which have similar problem called humanity crisis such as Palestine in the East and Islamophobia in the West. However, Muslims still believe that Islamic value will be an alternative value for the future civilization both in the East and West. Besides, Islamic values have proved its history as ethical basis of civilizations. The shared values and cultures have been practised by people in the East and West for long time even when state nation (nationalism) had not been established yet. People to people contact around the world had been taken place to strengthen the shared culture (values). They have similar experience how Islam to manage the country which consists of diversity in culture and at the same time how to encounter social and communal problems such as radicalism, capitalism, and globalisation.

Abstract

This article describes moral value based on Sunan Kalijaga’s perspective, one of the members of the walisanga who had the longest age from other wali and he was the most famous and creative wali in creating a wide range of media to preach Islam. The media that he made and applied included many fields; such as preacher, literatures and songs (Ilir-ilir song, gundul-gundul pacul, and dandang gula song), Sculpture, Gamelan, mosques, Tatal and Kenthong art, Bedhug, and  grebeg sekaten contained character of education that were stil relevant applied in this era. Thus, a preacher’s function as learning model takes strategic position in preparing and applying any media and approaches/ strategy to lead students to be success in their learning. The media of learning to preach created by Sunan Kalijaga were the collaboration between culture of local wisdom which was maintained and elements of modern constructive art that was relevant with the local wisdom.

UPAYA PENINGKATAN KEAKTIFAN DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA MATERI GAYA DAN GERAK DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PICTURE AND PICTURE

Abstract

Data hasil tes formatif kelas IV semester 1 tahun pelajaran 2016/2017, mendapatkan nilai rata-rata adalah 55,18, sebagian siswa masih memperoleh nilai di bawah KKM yang ditetapkan yaitu 65 dan harus mengikuti program perbaikan. Sebanyak 9 siswa (33,33%) tuntas, dan 18 siswa (66,67%) yang belum tuntas. Dari 27 siswa di kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Jebol, hanya terdapat 10 siswa yang aktif dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu penulis melakukan tindakan untuk mengatasi masalah dengan model pembelajaran picture and picture untuk dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa. Pada prasiklus hanya 10 siswa yang aktif, menjadi 16 siswa di siklus I dan 19 siswa di siklus II. Hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari  nilai 55,18 pada prasiklus, menjadi nilai 71,85  pada siklus I, dan kembali meningkat menjadi nilai 84,81 pada siklus II. Tingkat ketuntasan belajar meningkat, 33,33% pada prasiklus, 70,37% pada siklus I dan 88,89% pada siklus II. Penerapan model picture and picture dalam perbaikan pembelajaran dengan sub tema gerak dan gaya dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar. Data from formative test fourth Grade 1st semester of academic year 2016/2017, get the value of the average is 55.18, some students still received grades below KKM set at 65 and must follow remedial courses. A total of 9 students (33.33%) completed, and 18 students (66.67%) which is not yet complete. Of the 27 students in the fourth grade of SD Negeri 3 Jebol, there are only 10 active students in learning. Therefore, the author take action to overcome the problem by using the learning model picture and picture to be able to enhance the activity and student learning outcomes. In prasiklus only 10 students are active, to 16 students in the first cycle and 19 students in the second cycle. Learning outcomes of students increased from 55.18 on prasiklus value, being the value of 71.85 in the first cycle, and increased again to the value 84.81 in the second cycle. Increasing the level of mastery learning, on prasiklus 33.33%, 70.37% in the first cycle and 88.89% in the second cycle. The application of the model picture and picture in the improvement of learning with the sub theme of motion and force can enhance the activity and student learning outcomes. Kata kunci: keaktifan, hasil belajar, model picture and picture

Abstract

Profesi merupakan pekerjaan atau kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh seseorang dan menjadi sumber penghasilan kehidupan yang memerlukan keahlian, kemahiran, atau kecakapan yang memenuhi standar mutu atau norma tertentu serta memerlukan pendidikan profesi, sementara profesional adalah sikap aktualisasi kerja yang sesuai ataupun memenuhi standar dalam menjalankan profesi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menginvestigasi guru PAI Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di kota Salatiga. Penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif dari sudut profesionalisme kerja. Pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner, teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data mengunakan analisis data kualitatif yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, interpretasi data dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI Sekolah Menengah Keguruan di kota Salatiga dapat dikategorikan profesional dalam menjalankan tugas karena memenuhi standar mutu, yaitu prinsip-prinsip profesional dan menunaikan kewajiban keprofesionalan sesuai dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 14 Tahun 2005. Profession is an activity or work conducted by someone (worker) and becomes a source of income that requires expertise, skills, or skills that meet certain quality standards or norms and requires professional education, while professional is an attitude reflected in one’s actualization (of working) which meets the already designed standards. This study aimed to investigate the Islamic studies (PAI) teachers of Vocational High Schools in Salatiga. This study used a qualitative approach to see the case from the point of professionalism. The data were collected through questionnaires, interview, observation and documentation. The collected data were then analyzed qualitatively covering several activities such as data collection, data reduction, data presentation, interpretation of data and drawing conclusions/ verification. The results showed that PAI teachers of Vocational high Schools in Salatiga could be categorized as a having professional attitude in the actualization of their work since they meet the professionalism standards as suggested by Government Regulation No. 14, 2005. Kata kunci: profesionalisme guru, guru PAI, Undang-Undang Nomor 14 Tahun 2005

PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR DAN SOSIAL SISWA MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik komparatif. Desain penelitian berbentuk quasi eksperimen dengan melibatkan dua kelompok subyek penelitian yakni kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai adalah mengetahui implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri pada mata pelajaran IPS, mengetahui keterampilan berpikir siswa, keterampilan sosial siswa dan pengaruh implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri pada mata pelajaran IPS terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir dan sosial siswa. Berdasarkan analisi data dan pembahasannya maka diperoleh hasil bahwa: penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri pada mata pelajaran IPS mengalami peningkatan sebesar 29% ke dalam kategori tinggi atau sangat baik; keterampilan berpikir siswa dan keterampilan sosial siswa sebelum diberi perlakuan dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan, akan tetapi setelah diberi perlakuan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol; implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir siswa sebesar 28% dan keterampilan sosial siswa meningkat sebesar 29%. This research is a quantitative research using comparative technique. The study design was in the form of quasi experiment involving two groups of research subjects namely control class and experimental class. The objectives to be achieved are to know the implementation of inquiry learning model in IPS subjects, to know the students thinking skill, the social skill of the students and the influence of the implementation of the inquiry learning model in the social studies subjects to the improvement of students thinking and social skills. Based on data analysis and discussion it is obtained that: the application of inquiry learning model in subjects of IPS has increased by 29% into the category of high or very good; students thinking skills and social skills before being treated with inquiry model did not show any significant difference, but after being treated there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class; the implementation of the inquiry learning model contributed positively to the improvement of students thinking skills by 28% and the students social skills increased by 29%. Kata kunci: model pembelajaran inkuiri, keterampilan berpikir, keterampilan sosial.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dan kreativitas siswa  dengan menggunakan metode co-op co-op dan strategi peninjauan kembali pada pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas XI IIS 1 di SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IIS 1 di SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. Objek penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan metode co-op co-op dan strategi peninjauan kembali. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini terlaksana dalam 3 siklus yang masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 2 pertemuan. Data diperoleh dari lembar observasi, catatan lapangan, angket keaktifan dan kreativitas siswa, hasil wawancara dengan siswa dan guru, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode co-op co-op dan strategi peninjauan kembali dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan kreativitas siswa.This research aims to enhance the activity and creativity of the students using the Co-op Co-op and Review Strategy of the mathematics class XI IIS 1 in SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects were students of class XI IIS 1 in SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. The object of this research is the implementation of learning mathematics by using co-op co-op and strategic reconsideration. Classroom Action Research is carried out in three cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. The data were obtained from observation checklist, field notes, questionnaires of students’ activeness and creativity, interviews with students and teachers, and documentation. Data analysis was performed with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion.
