Abstract

Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang kini berkembang mempunyai efek pada proses pembelajaran. Ada perubahan dalam proses pembelajaran, yang biasanya dilakukan terbatas di dalam kelas dengan jadwal yang telah ditetapkan berkembang menjadi pembelajaran jarak jauh dapat dilakukan dimana saja dan kapan saja. Pembelajaran biasanya melibatkan fasilitas berupa bahan seperti buku namun sekarang tumbuh dengan memanfaatkan jaringan menggunakan komputer dan teknologi internet, sehingga membentuk pembelajaraan "online". Belajar dengan biaya teknologi informasi akan efektif jika peran guru adalah sebagai fasilitator dalam pembelajaran atau pembelajaran yang memudahkan peserta didik untuk belajar, tidak lagi sebagai informan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling terhadap 116 siswa dalam sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pendapat tentang keberadaan hotspot IAIN Salatiga dimana mereka menyatakan senang. Keberadaan internet gratis di perpustakaan, sebagian besar mahasiswa meminta untuk ditingkatkan. Sebagai opini simpulan, sebagian besar responden menjawab biasa-biasa saja ataupun kurang puas dengan layanan ICT di IAIN Salatiga. Information and communication technology that is now developing to give effect to the learning process. There is a change in the learning process, which is usually done limited learning in the classroom with a predetermined schedule developed into a distance learning can be done anywhere and anytime. Lessons usually involve facilities in the form of material like a book but now growing by utilizing the network (network) by using a computer with internet technology, thus forming pembelajaraan "online". Learning with the charge of information technology will be effective if the teachers role is as a facilitator in the learning or learning that makes it easy for learners to learn is no longer as informants. The Research method used quantitative descriptive, sampling techniques using purposive sampling technique with 116 students in the sample. The results showed: opinions about the presence of hotspots IAIN Salatiga in which they were pleasant. The existence of free internet area in the library was requested to be increased. As the concluding opinion, most respondents responded “mediocre” or “less satisfied” with the ICT service in IAIN Salatiga.  Kata kunci: ICT, internet, instrumen, pola respon mahasiswa

Abstract

Profesi merupakan pekerjaan atau kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh seseorang dan menjadi sumber penghasilan kehidupan yang memerlukan keahlian, kemahiran, atau kecakapan yang memenuhi standar mutu atau norma tertentu serta memerlukan pendidikan profesi, sementara profesional adalah sikap aktualisasi kerja yang sesuai ataupun memenuhi standar dalam menjalankan profesi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menginvestigasi guru PAI Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di kota Salatiga. Penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif dari sudut profesionalisme kerja. Pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner, teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data mengunakan analisis data kualitatif yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, interpretasi data dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI Sekolah Menengah Keguruan di kota Salatiga dapat dikategorikan profesional dalam menjalankan tugas karena memenuhi standar mutu, yaitu prinsip-prinsip profesional dan menunaikan kewajiban keprofesionalan sesuai dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 14 Tahun 2005. Profession is an activity or work conducted by someone (worker) and becomes a source of income that requires expertise, skills, or skills that meet certain quality standards or norms and requires professional education, while professional is an attitude reflected in one’s actualization (of working) which meets the already designed standards. This study aimed to investigate the Islamic studies (PAI) teachers of Vocational High Schools in Salatiga. This study used a qualitative approach to see the case from the point of professionalism. The data were collected through questionnaires, interview, observation and documentation. The collected data were then analyzed qualitatively covering several activities such as data collection, data reduction, data presentation, interpretation of data and drawing conclusions/ verification. The results showed that PAI teachers of Vocational high Schools in Salatiga could be categorized as a having professional attitude in the actualization of their work since they meet the professionalism standards as suggested by Government Regulation No. 14, 2005. Kata kunci: profesionalisme guru, guru PAI, Undang-Undang Nomor 14 Tahun 2005

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik komparatif. Desain penelitian berbentuk quasi eksperimen dengan melibatkan dua kelompok subyek penelitian yakni kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai adalah mengetahui implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri pada mata pelajaran IPS, mengetahui keterampilan berpikir siswa, keterampilan sosial siswa dan pengaruh implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri pada mata pelajaran IPS terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir dan sosial siswa. Berdasarkan analisi data dan pembahasannya maka diperoleh hasil bahwa: penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri pada mata pelajaran IPS mengalami peningkatan sebesar 29% ke dalam kategori tinggi atau sangat baik; keterampilan berpikir siswa dan keterampilan sosial siswa sebelum diberi perlakuan dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan, akan tetapi setelah diberi perlakuan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol; implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir siswa sebesar 28% dan keterampilan sosial siswa meningkat sebesar 29%. This research is a quantitative research using comparative technique. The study design was in the form of quasi experiment involving two groups of research subjects namely control class and experimental class. The objectives to be achieved are to know the implementation of inquiry learning model in IPS subjects, to know the students thinking skill, the social skill of the students and the influence of the implementation of the inquiry learning model in the social studies subjects to the improvement of students thinking and social skills. Based on data analysis and discussion it is obtained that: the application of inquiry learning model in subjects of IPS has increased by 29% into the category of high or very good; students thinking skills and social skills before being treated with inquiry model did not show any significant difference, but after being treated there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class; the implementation of the inquiry learning model contributed positively to the improvement of students thinking skills by 28% and the students social skills increased by 29%. Kata kunci: model pembelajaran inkuiri, keterampilan berpikir, keterampilan sosial.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan model kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di M.A. Roudlotul Mubtadiin Jepara, yang berupa strategi-strategi yang dijalankan dalam upaya merealisasikan visi (tujuan) sekolah.  Untuk mewujudkan tujuan madrasah maka diperlukan sosok pemimpin (kepala sekolah) dengan model kepemimpinan yang transformasional yang mampu menjawab berbagai tantangan, berintegritas, serta unggul dalam kompetensi-kompetensi kepemimpinan lainnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif naturalistik. Penelitian didasarkan pada sisi alamiah suatu kasus model kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di M.A. Roudlotul Mubtadiin Jepara yang menghasilkan data deskriptif dari responden atau perilaku dan situasi yang diamati. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah lembar observasi, panduan wawancara, dan panduan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data diukur menggunakan triangulasi sumber. This study aims to reveal the models of school leadership in M.A. Roudlotul Mubtadiin Jepara, that is in the form of strategies undertaken in order to realize the vision (goal) of the school. To realize the goal of madrasah then it requires a leader (principal) with a transformational leadership model who is able to ‘answer’ the challenges, having an integrity and is superior in other leadership competencies. This study used a descriptive approach naturalistic. The study was based on the natural inquiry of such a case of school leadership model in M.A. Roudlotul Mubtadiin Jepara which then generated some descriptive data from respondents’ opinions, observed behavior as well as authentic situations. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The instruments used for collecting data are observation sheets, interview, and documentation guidelines. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dan kreativitas siswa  dengan menggunakan metode co-op co-op dan strategi peninjauan kembali pada pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas XI IIS 1 di SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IIS 1 di SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. Objek penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan metode co-op co-op dan strategi peninjauan kembali. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini terlaksana dalam 3 siklus yang masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 2 pertemuan. Data diperoleh dari lembar observasi, catatan lapangan, angket keaktifan dan kreativitas siswa, hasil wawancara dengan siswa dan guru, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode co-op co-op dan strategi peninjauan kembali dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan kreativitas siswa.This research aims to enhance the activity and creativity of the students using the Co-op Co-op and Review Strategy of the mathematics class XI IIS 1 in SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects were students of class XI IIS 1 in SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. The object of this research is the implementation of learning mathematics by using co-op co-op and strategic reconsideration. Classroom Action Research is carried out in three cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. The data were obtained from observation checklist, field notes, questionnaires of students’ activeness and creativity, interviews with students and teachers, and documentation. Data analysis was performed with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah prestasi belajar dan thinking skill (kemampuan berpikir) siswa dengan pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan problem posing lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran konvensional menggunakan metode ceramah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experimentation dengan rancangan randomized posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas siswa kelas XI IPA 1 yang berjumlah 42 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol dan XI IPA 3 yang berjumlah 41 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa pembelajaran fisika dengan pendekatan problem posing dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar dan thinking skill siswa. Prestasi belajar fisika dan kemampuan berpikir siswa dengan pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan problem posing lebih tinggi daripada siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional menggunakan metode ceramah. Siswa kelas sampel dengan pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan problem posing memiliki rata-rata prestasi belajar 87,4 dan presentase kemampuan berpikir 75% sedangkan siswa kelas sampel dengan pembelajaran konvensional menggunakan metose ceramah rata-rata prestasi belajar 76,3 dan persentase kemampuan berpikir 60%. This study aims to determine whether students' learning and thinking skills (thinking ability) with learning use a problem posing approach higher than conventional learning using the lecture method. This study was a quasi-experimentation study with a randomized posttest control group design. The study sample consisted of students of class XI IPA 1, amounting to 42 students as the control class and XI IPA 3, amounting to 41 students as the experimental class. The results of this study prove that physics learning with a problem posing approach can improve student achievement and thinking skills. Physics learning achievement and students' thinking ability with learning use a problem posing approach higher than students with conventional learning using the lecture method. Sample class students with learning using the problem posing approach have an average learning achievement of 87.4 and a percentage of thinking skills of 75% while students in the sample class with conventional learning use lecture method average learning achievement 76.3 and the percentage of thinking ability 60%.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate Thai students in EFL (English as Foreign Language) Program in Indonesia, focusing on the learning problems and strategies of nine Thai female students who study in English Department of IAIN Salatiga. This study uses descriptive qualitative design. The descriptive data analysis is employed to describe the research findings which are primarily mined from the transcriptions of in-depth interview. The results show that all Thai students have various problems during their study in Indonesia. The complication emerges when they must learn foreign languages and use them to learn at the same time. They must learn language skills (listening, reading, writing, speaking) on one hand and use those skills for practical or functional purposes on the other hand. It seems like one is not yet finished but they have to simultaneously practice it for functional purposes of communicating with the lecturers, understanding the tasks given, etc. We indicated that most strategies used by 6 participants were asking friends instead of teachers. Further, we also found distinct strategies personally preferred by the participants to learn EFL in their convenience.

Abstract

The theme of this conference is "Being Muslim in a Disrupted Millenial Age". The conference was motivated by the real challenges of the millenial generation and era. Indonesia is predicted to get demographic bonus in 2020-2045. According to the calculations of the National Family Planning Board (BKKBN) RI, in the decade, as many as 70 percent of Indonesian citizens are in the productive age, which is between 15 to 64 years. Only 30 percent are unproductive, for instance under 14 years and over 65 years old. Of course, demographic bonuses have an impact on the increasing number of young people, or more specifically, millennial generation.According to Neil Howe and William Strauss in the book Millennials Rising: The Next Great Generation (2000), millennial generation are those born between 1982 and 20 years later. This means that this year, they are between 15 to 35 years old. Neil and William call the millennial as the generation that determines the future. In Indonesian context, the millennial lifestyle has had a profound influence on various aspects of personal and public life; social, cultural, economic, political and even religious. The most noticeable aspect is the increasing role of social media, which is mainly driven by the millennial generation. The role of social media, for example, has far-reaching impacts on the creative economy, with the increasing variety of digital entrepreneurship-based professions utilizing online sites, youtube, instagram, twitter and facebook. While in politics, social media becomes the personal space of branding and attention seekers that characterize millennials. Interestingly, in many parts of the world, research on millennial generation has grown considerably. In addition to the above books, some of the more popular ones were the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and University of Berkeley research in 2011 about the millennial generation of America; The Pew Research Center Review entitled Millennials: A Portrait of Generation Next (2010). Similarly the Texas-US based Center for Generational Kinetics through the intense genhq.com site is doing recent research on Millennial and Z generations.Similar research focusing on Muslim millennials is done by the Tabah Foundation of the United Arab Emirates entitled Muslim Millennial Attitudes on Religion and Religious Leadership (2016); The work of British Muslim writer Shelina Zahra Janmohamed Generation M: Young Muslims Changing the World (2016) is also interesting. In Indonesia, research and publications on millennial generations begin, but it is still difficult to find specific references to Muslim millennials. In fact, Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world. According to the latest data of the Cetral Intelligence Agency, the number of Indonesian Muslims reaches a range of 225 million, far beyond Muslim countries such as Iran, Turkey, Egypt, and countries in the Arabian Peninsula. The proportion of Indonesian Muslims is also very significant, namely 87.2% of the total population of Indonesia. Given that fact, Muslim millennial of Indonesia has a very strategic position in the future. Millennial Muslims in this country can lift the image of Indonesian Islam to become a world reference in realizing a peaceful and harmonious society. Actually, the image has been recognized world widely. Two decades ago, various international media praised Indonesian Islam as an ideal portrait of Muslim society. Newsweek in 1996 labeled Islam Indonesia as "Islam with a smiling face". Newsweek is so fascinated with the style of religious people in Indonesia, calling it: everyone was kind; everyone was moderate; everyone respected humanistic values and a harmonious life. Interestingly, six years ago, precisely in 2011, Indonesianist Martin van Bruinessen reviewed the label in his paper with a question: What happened to the smiling face of Indonesian Islam? Martin seemed restless with the Indonesian Islamic movement, which was originally identical with the vision of nationality and humanity, into a movement that tends to be more political and partisan.This is where Muslim millennial Indonesia can take on the role. Today, around us, the narrative of hatred seems so real. It is laid out clearly through utterances, arguments, and comments on the mass lines crammed with verbal and visual violence. With such great potential, Indonesian Muslim youth are given a choice: To let the hate narrative expand its space, or to present a counter-narrative, through viralization of virtues as the part of millennial-style. This is the significance of organizing this annual conference.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi isyarat ilmiah yang terdapat pada QS. Al-A’raf ayat 54, dan software yang dapat digunakan untuk memvisualisasikannya. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi literatur dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada QS. Al-A’raf ayat 54, terdapat penggalan ayat: يُغۡشِى ٱلَّيۡلَ ٱلنَّہَارَ يَطۡلُبُهُ : Dia menutupkan malam kepada siang  yang mengikutinya dengan cepat. Penggalan ayat tersebut dapat dibaca takhfif yakni yughshi dan dibaca tasydid, yakni yughashshi. Penggalan ayat tersebut diartikan keduanya itu saling menutupi yang lain silih – berganti (yang mengikutinya) masing-masing di antara keduanya itu mengikuti yang lainnya dengan cepat. Pada penggalan ayat tersebut mengandung isyarat ilmiah tentang rotasi yang dapat diindera dengan adanya gerak semu harian matahari, bertambah dan berkurangnya intensitas cahaya matahari di bumi ketika tengah malam, fajar kadzib (zodiacal light), fajar shadiq (twilight), pagi, siang, tengah hari, sore, senja, dan malam. Peristiwa rotasi tersebut dapat divisualisasikan dengan animasi menggunakan software Microsof excel, Microsoft powerpoint, Macromedia flash, Phet, dan Modellus. Dengan demikian pembelajaran IPA/Fisika yang terintegrasi menjadi lebih optimal. This study aims to identify scientific cues found in Qs. al-A'raf verse 54, and software that can be used to visualize it. Data obtained through literature studies with descriptive analysis. The results showed that in Qs. al-A'raf verse 54, there is a fragment of the verse: يُغۡشِى ٱلَّيۡلَ ٱلنَّہَارَ يَطۡلُبُهُ (translated: He closed the night to noon). The fragment of the verse can be read takhfif i.e. yughshi, (read tasydid: yughashshi). The fragment of the verse means that both of them cover each other one another - alternately (which follows) each of them follows the other quickly. In the verse contains scientific signals about the rotation and revolution of the earth that can be sensed by the daily pseudo motion of the sun, increasing and decreasing the intensity of sunlight on earth at midnight, dawn of kadzib (zodiacal light), dawn of shadiq (twilight), morning, afternoon, midday, evening, dusk and night. Rotation and revolution events can be visualized with animations using Microsoft Excel software, Microsoft Powerpoint, Macromedia Flash, Phet, and Modellus. Thus integrated science learning becomes more optimal.

Secara fundamental, era ini menuntut perubahan akan cara pandang, cara kerja, dan conceptual framework baru bagi dunia pendidikan dalam upaya menghasilkan output generasi bangsa yang lebih kompetitif di dunia global. Pemanfaatan e-learning sudah sangat populer di seluruh dunia. Berbagai penelitian memberikan gambaran bahwa e-learning memberikan dampak positif dalam upaya pelayanan terbaik di dunia pendidikan. Namun, Implementasi e-learning membutuhkan keyakinan semua pihak bahwasanya e-learning mempunyai kekuatan untuk meningkatkan lingkungan belajar yang menguntungkan bagi mahasiswa, selain penguasaan dan kematangan konsep serta ketepatan dalam memilih strategi maupun evaluasi. Untuk dapat mengambil keuntungan yang ditawarkan e-learning dan sekaligus meminimalisir kegagalan, maka sangat dibutuhkan analisis dimensi kebutuhan mulai dari dimensi SDM, organisasi, lingkungan, teknologi, dan content. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran dimensi kebutuhan implementasi e-learning menggunakan sebuah framework sehingga dapat dijadikan rujukan proses pra implementasi e-learning.
