Abstract

Every preposition has its own meaning. Preposition. can provide a more detailed description of the sentences they occupy. This study used distributional method. The technique that apply in this reasearch are deletion (deletion), substitution, insertion, and removal of elements (permutation). From the results of this study found that, Minangkabau  Prepeposition can be divided into 16 groups of meaning. The meaning of place  can be divided into 3 parts, namely: (a) Locative static, (b) Locative purposes, and (c) Place of Origin (locative origin)

Abstract

This research was a descriptive research with the main aim to analyze the students’ descriptive text quality in English subject. The components that were analized  analyzed in the descriptive text written  by the students were developing ideas, organizing ideas, grammar, vocabulary and mechanics. These five components were analyzed based on the five categories, they are excellent, good, satisfactory, weak and poor. The participants of this research were 30 students in their second year of MAN 2 Padang. The topic was about  places, in which the students chose the place that they want to describe. The technique used to get the participants of the reserach was cluster random sampling technique. The data of the research were taken by using writing test. In this research it was found that the students faced some difficulties in organizing ideas and developing ideas. Some of the students were unable to develop the ideas well. It was also found in their second writing, there were no improvements on the developing ideas. Furthermore, the students were unable to identify and describe the objects in organizing ideas components. In the grammar components, the students did not find major difficulties because the tense was simple present tense which was expressed only in simple sentences. For the vocabulary component, it was found that few students were unable to use the appropriate words to describe the place and they used some Indonesian words too. For the mechanics component, the students did not find major difficulties in using the appropriate mechanics. Based on the result of the research, the students are suggested to pay attention to the whole components of the descriptive text especially in developing and organizing ideas components. It is suggested to the teacher of MAN 2 Padang to use an effective strategy and give various ways to develops students’ ideas. The teacher should help the students to brainstorm the ideas or make an outline of their writing, to help the students to organize and develop their ideas well.

Abstract

Sijunjung is a city in Sijunjung regency. Sijunjung is located in Sijunjung regency about 99 km from Padang City.  Sijunjung is a regency of West Sumatera. In society life, language is very important because language is used to communicate. Especially in address form. They always vary their forms in different situation and different addresses even though the person being addressed remains the same. The importance of address forms cannot be overestimated in the use of language in any human society. They serve as an indicator of the social relationship between a speaker and a listener in terms of status and social distance. Sijunjung forms of address literature still limited except for their uses in literary genres. Otherwise, an exploration of various forms of address in Sijunjung may help in understanding the culture of the people and also in knowing the reason why the people behave the way they do in an encounter with others in different situations. The address terms examined in this paper are limited to names only. Pronouns and other forms were not included. The population of this research that the writer takes from questionnaire to native speakers of Sijunjung society. For example, the writer takes 20 informants who can give information about the term of address form of Sijunjung. The writer used observation method and questionnaire technique, then the writer takes the answer sheets of Sijunjung people. There are two methods in representating the result of data analysis, formal and informal method. The informal method is written in the form of verbal statements, meanwhile the formal method is written by symbol and sign. While, informal method by using words based on the finding. In this analysis the writer uses both of method.

Abstract

  This research was aimed to find out the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in term of preparation, teaching learning process and assessment. The location of the research was at SMPN 8 Padang. The research used descriptive method. The data were taken through documentation, observation and field notes. The documentation of this research was the lesson plans designed by the teachers. Then, the researcher did observation to find out the process and assessment in the classroom. The result of this research showed that there was 88.21% of the lesson plans had been designed by the teachers based on the requirements of Curriculum 2013. But, in the teaching and learning process there were only 65% of aspects in the 2013 Curriculum have been implemented in teaching learning process. From the finding, it showed that 55% of activities in observing, questioning, associating steps had been done by the teachers. Meanwhile, there were 65% of activities in experimenting steps had been done by teachers. Then, there were 75% of activities in communicating step had been done well by the teachers. It indicated that the teachers still got problems in implementing observing questioning, and associating steps. Then, the teachers tended to use observation, project, portfolio, and oral test to assess students’ competences. Based on the findings above, it is shown that the aspects of Curriculum 2013 have not been implemented by all the teachers. Therefore, the English teachers of SMPN 8 Padang should learn more about how to implement Curriculum 2013 in teaching English. It is suggested to the head master to conduct more training for all English teachers on the Curriculum 2013 implementation. For next researcher, it is suggested to research the implementation of Curriculum 2013 with more samples to get further information..

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripskan upaya pengawas sekolah dasar dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menyusun rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang inovatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan supervise akademik di sekolah Dasar Binaan Kecamatan Padang Utara Kota Padang. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan sekolah (PTS) penelitian dilaksanakan SDN Binaan Kecamatan Padang Utara Kota Padang. Pendekatan yang digunakan observasi kelas, pendekatan bimbingan personal, setting tindakan sosialisasi PTS, Setting menggunakan empat tindakan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan persentase. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa Pada saat awal siklus pertama indikator pencapaian hasil dari setiap komponen RPP belum sesuai/tercapai seperti rencana/keinginan peneliti. Hasil observasi pada siklus kesatu dapat dideskripsikan berikut ini Observasi dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2015, terhadap sepuluh orang guru. Semuanya menyusun RPP, tapi masih ada guru yang belum melengkapi RPP-nya baik dengan komponen maupun sub-sub komponen RPP tertentu. Satu orang tidak melengkapi RPP-nya dengan komponen indikator pencapaian kompetensi namun pada siklus dua kelemaham pada siklus satu dapat diperbaiki dengan menggunakan pendekatan supervise akademik dan mencapai Kriteria penilaian yang telah ditetapkan. Saran dengan menggunakan pendekatan supervisi akademik dapat lebih ditingkatkan sehingga kompetensi guru dalam menyusun rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran dapat lebih baik.

Abstract

To be able to learn something well, we need to hear, see, ask questions about it, and discuss it with others. Not only that, teachers need to "do", which describe something in their own way, showing for example, tried to practice skills and tasks that require  What Knowledge they have earned. The problems to be examined in this study are: a How improve mathematics learning outcomes by using the game in class IX SMP Negeri 2 P Ainan academic year 2014-2015? b. The steps made in improving learning outcomes math class IX students? The results showed that study using the game in class IX SMPN 2 Painan, on learning of Mathematics, encourage student learning activities to teach well so spur students to obtain satisfactory academic achievement. Of the 10 observed activities, 7 of them are classified into medium category and 3 of them fall into the less category. The three activities gradually increase in each cycle, the three activities are preparing places, materials and tools by 25.93%, expressing the idea of ​​11.11% and reading the rules of the game and books of 29.63% and each Has increased, become Preparing places, materials and tools of 55.56%, revealed the idea of ​​66.67% and for the activity of reading the rules of the game and books increased by 74.04%. Achievement learn student mathematics obtained grade average value in cycle I equal to 69,62 increase become 73,51 in cycle II. The percentage of students who reached the completeness standard also increased in the first cycle of 88.88% (Category Good), increased to 100% (Category Special Category) in cycle II. Thus the game method can improve the activity and achievement of learning mathematics students SMPN 2 Painan Lesson Year 2014/2015. Student journals are known by the use of game methods to make learning more fun, learning less tense but still concentrating. Students more quickly understand the concept of geometry and measurement by appreciating the role played.

Knowing that trigger low activity of learning and learning achievement exist on factors such as the method used by the teacher, so that the use or replacement of conventional methods into methods that are constructivist indispensable, consequently researchers tried learning model Audio-Visual in an attempt to solve Problems that exist in school.             The low activity of learning and student achievement were presented at the background of the problem, the use of Audio-Visual learning model strived to be able to complete the purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of student achievement. How much improvement has been made clear at the end of the analysis. From the results of the research presented in Chapter IV and all the data that have been submitted, the research objectives submitted can already be achieved. To answer the research objectives namely the achievement of the increase in student learning achievement can be seen the evidence already disampaikan. From preliminary data nearly all students scored at the bottom, then the first cycle decreased to 8 students and second cycle the value of all the students on the school specified standards . From the initial average 4.5 rose to 6.3 in the first cycle and the second cycle increased to 7.9. From the preliminary data there are no students who completed while the first cycle to more that four students and the second cycle all students achieve mastery. Of all supporting data proving the achievement of learning objectives could be said that the model Audio-Visual can give the expected answer to the purpose of this research. All this can be achieved is due to the readiness and hard work of researchers from the start of the proposal, review the things that have not been good with my friends teachers, preparation of grids and research instruments, the use of means of data triangulation to the implementation of the maximum research.

Abstract

ass Action Research Lansano 15 V Elementary School District of Sutera at the beginning of January’ to March 201 7. Results of study Social Sciences class V SD Negeri 15 Lansano District of Sutera of several replications are still very low. Of the two repetitions the average grade is still below the KKM is 75. The highest score of 70 while the lowest value 50. On the second daily test of 80 and the lowest score 50. The average of the two daily test is 67. The purpose of this study is to improve learning outcomes IPS with the basic competencies to describe the struggle of the hero on the Dutch and Japanese invaders ". B erdasarkan struggle of the hero on the Dutch and Japanese invaders in the learning of Social Sciences for the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 15 Lansano District of Sutera 2nd semester through themethod of discussion. Research conducted at SDN 15 Lansano District of Sutera. Time research was conducted from January to March 201 7. The form of this research is Classroom Action Research (Classroom Action Research). The action consists of two actions in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages namely Planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The class is fifth grade students studied Elementary School # 15 Lansano District of Sutera with the number of students 29 orang.Setelah implemented the first cycle that teachers implement instructional practices directly obtained results In cycle 1 the average grade value increased to 75. In cycle 2 the average value was 86. So from the initial to the final condition there was an increase in learning outcome from the mean of 67 to 86. From the results of the action research conducted in two cycles, obtained significant improvement, so that it can be concluded that the discussion of methods to improve learning outcomes IPS is based on the struggle of the hero in the Netherlands and the Japanese invaders for fifth grade students of SD Negeri 15 Lansano Subdistrict Sutera. For that teachers are expected to always provide guidance to students to remain diligent learning, through reading, discussing to always practice working on student worksheets, so it can achieve the desired goals
