Abstract

ISPA Non pneumonia is a symptom of cough that does not show symptoms of an increase in the frequency of breath and does not also show the pull of the lower chest wall towards the inside. The purpose of this study was to find out the factors associated with the incidence of ISPA non-pneumonia in children under five in the working area of Harapan Raya Community Health Center in Pekanbaru City in 2018. This research was quantitative observational analytic with the type of Analytical Cross-sectional Study design. This study was conducted from June to July 2018. Data analysis was carried out in stages which included univariate analysis, bivariate analysis and multivariate analysis. The sampling procedure was carried out by systematic random sampling with a sample of 212 toddlers. The results of the study showed that toddlers who suffered from ISPA non-pneumonia in the sample were 60.44%. And in the population is 60.44% ± 5% = 55.44% -65.44%. Variables related to cause and effect are mosquito coils, the presence of smokers and room temperature. Variables are inversely correlated, namely natural lighting variables. Counfounding variable is the variable of ventilation against natural lighting variables. Unrelated variables are humidity, ventilation, house walls, density of house occupancy, cooking fuel usage, age, and sex.

Abstract

Macaranga bancana (Euphorbiaceae) dikenal  sebagai “mahang” yang banyak tersebar di Indragiri Hulu, Provinsi Riau dan juga diyakini memiliki khasiat sebagai obat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kandungan metabolit sekunder dan aktivitas toksisitas dari berbagai ekstrak daun M. bancana. Proses ekstraksi dilakukan menggunakan metode maserasi dengan berbagai pelarut, yaitu n-heksana, diklorometana, etil asetat, metanol dan etanol. Analisis toksisitas dilakukan dengan metode Brine shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT). Hasil skrining fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa daun M. bancana mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder golongan terpenoid, steroid, flavonoid dan fenolik. Hasil uji toksisitas menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak n-heksana memiliki toksisitas yang tinggi diikuti dengan ekstrak diklorometana, etil asetat, dan metanol dengan nilai LC50 masing-masing 65; 87; 227; 605 g/mL, sedangkan ekstrak etanol tidak toksik. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa M. bancana memiliki aktivitas toksisitas yang baik dan dapat dijadikan sebagai uji pendahuluan untuk antikanker.

Abstract

Liquid organic fertilizer is organic fertilizer in a liquid preparation as apart or all of from organic compound such as plant, animal, and industry waste, solid or liquid phase Nutrients contained therein form of a solution that is so fine that is easily absorbed by plants, though the leaves or stems. Organic fertilizer is one of solution to recovery physical, chemical and biological soil mineral from harmful effect at synthetic fertilize. Liquid fertilizer is obtained from the fermentation process solid first and then proceed with the extraction and liquid anaerobic fermentation process.In the fermentation process, the role of microbes largely determine the resulting product.The aim of this study was to determine the potential of liquid waste out as a liquid organic fertilizer with the addition of leaves of Gliricidia plants with a variation of 200 gr and 400 gr to increase mocro and micro nutrients with EM4 bacteria activator by fermentation procces. Macro nutrients result show Nitrogen 1250,57 ppm, phosphorus 1626,51 ppm potasium 2987,45 ppm, C-organic 8550 ppm, the ratio of C/N 7, and micro nutrients (Fe, Cu, Mn) C organic result Fe 57.99 ppm, Cu 0.30 ppm, Mn 2.83 ppm in the optimum fermentation time of 5 days with additional variations Gliricidia leaves 400 g. Macro nutrient of Organic fertilizer produced meets the quality requirements of the regulation which has set the levels of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the amount of <2% or <20000, C organic ≥ 4% (40000 ppm), the ratio of C / N ≥ 4 ppm. Micro nutrients result do not meet the quality requirements of the agriculture minister No.28/Permentan/OT.140/2/2009. quality regulations for, and metal 100-1000 ppm.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi dalam dunia industri saat ini dituntut adanya ketepatan, kecepatan dan otomatisasi. Salah satu pemanfaatan teknologi itu dilakukan pada penyortiran buah. Proses penyortiran penting dilakukan untuk menjaga kualitas dari buah. Telah dirancang prototipe pendeteksi dan penyortir kematangan buah terong belanda berdasarkan warna menggunakan mikrokontroler ATMega328 untuk membedakan warna buah yang matang dan busuk. Prototipe ini tersusun dari sensor LDR dan LED RGB untuk membedakan warna, dua motor servo sebagai penggerak dan mikrokontroler ATMega328 sebagai pengendali. Pengujian telah dilakukan pada buah terong belanda yang terdiri dari 20 sampel dengan dua tingkat kematangan yaitu 10 sampel buah yang matang dan 10 sampel buah yang busuk. Hasil menunjukan respon yang positif untuk 3 kali pengulangan pada setiap sampel. Keberhasilan pada saat pendeteksian dan penyortiran berpengaruh dengan cahaya dari luar.

Abstract

Endophytic fungi is a symbiotic microorganism which live inside plant tissues and not harm to their host. Several genera from endophytic fungi known to produce secondary metabolite compounds like antibiotics, anticancer, antifungal, antiviral and antimalarial. This study aimed to investigate antibacterial activity of endophytic fungi from senduduk (Melastoma malabathricum L.) against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Based on the test result, 11 isolates endophytic fungi from senduduk were known to have antibacterial activities. Isolate code 23 have ability to inhibit the growth of E.coli with diameters zone of inhibition is 22 mm and eight isolate endophytic fungi have ability to inhibit the growth of S.aureus (showed by inhibition zone).

Abstract

Senyawa kalkon terdiri dari dua cincin aromatik yang dihubungkan oleh tiga atom karbon dengan sistem karbonil α, β tak jenuh. Senyawa kalkon dilaporkan memiliki bioaktivitas yang beragam dan menarik, diantaranya sebagai antioksidan, antikanker, anti-inflamasi, antialzheimer dan antimikroba. Senyawa (E)-3-(2,3-dimetoksifenil)-1-(4’-hidroksifenil)prop-2-en-1-on disintesis melalui iradiasi gelombang mikro dengan katalis KOH dan pelarut etanol absolut. Analisis struktur senyawa ini dilakukan menggunakan spektroskopi UV, FTIR, HRMS dan 1H-NMR. Rendemen yang diperoleh yaitu 74,6%. Berdasarkan uji toksisitasnya, senyawa ini tidak berpotensi sebagai antikanker karena memiliki nilai LC50 = 291,789 μg/mL.

Abstract

Since posyandu was build the in kelurahan Balai Ahad it is nothing posyandu able to reach up the national target in visiting posyandu. In the posyandu sayang ibu found were only 24% of children under five years old who come to posyandu meanwhile national target were 80%. The aim of this research was to know about factors that are related with mothers motivation in taking children under five years old to posyandu. The design of research is correlation that used cross sectional. A number of population were 30 people and sample 30 people. The samples this research are all mother who have mother of children under five years and old in Pincuran Tujuh and for taking of data finished by use questionnaires and testing statistic 0,05. The result of this research were 70% high education and 30% low education, 60% good knowledge about posyandu and 40% bad knowledge, there are 46,67% positive of posyandu and 53,3% have negative of posyandu, there are 60% to get motivation from family and there are 40% not able to get motivations from family. Respondents who are motivated in taking children under five year old to posyandu were 6 responden (20%) and 24 respondent (80%) no not motivated. Based on result of questionnaires are got that 5 respondent (22,73) have high education in taking children under five year old to posyandu, 6 respondent (33,33%) have good knowledge, are motivated in taking children under five year old to posyandu, 4 respondents (22,22%) have positive thinking, motivated in taking chidren under five year old to posyandu, 5 respondent (22,78%) get motivation from family and motivated in taking children under five year old to posyandu. Based on the statistical testing of statistic 0,05, got the meaningful relation with mother’s motivation in taking children under five year old to posyandu is variable education. From the result of this research, it’s necessary to provide intensively about health promotion to motivate mothers to take children under five year old to posyandu

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyajikan tentang pengujian yang akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan metode elemen hingga dengan spesimen yang berbentuk pelat komposit glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) untuk mengetahui nilai ketangguhan retak dinamik disebabkan beban impak, program simulasi ini dibuat dengan menggunakan soft ware MSC MSC/NASTRAN for Windows dengan sub program FEMAP dengan pembebanan dinamik. Untuk menyederhanakan pada proses simulasi, spesimen digambarkan setengah geometri karena bentuknya yang simetri, demikian pula dalam membuat mesh dapat diatur dengan memperkecil ukuran mesh (fine mesh) pada daerah sekitar ujung retak. Pada pengujian ini beban impak diperoleh dari tegangan yang masuk ke spesimen dengan terlebih dahulu harus mengetahui diameter input bar dan tebal spesimen. Melalui simulasi ini juga akan diketahui propagasi tegangan yang terjadi, proses simulasi dimulai dengan mendefinisikan sifat material, membuat geometri dan pengaturan mesh, menentukan kondisi batas, memberi beban serta melakukan analisa dinamis dengan type analisis adalah transient dynamic/time dan type output displacement and stress. Hasil simulasi elemen hingga menunjukkan distribusi tegangan sama dengan hasil eksperimen dan harga ketangguhan retak dinamik. Adanya perbedaan besar tegangan adalah disebabkan konsentrasi tegangan yang terjadi pada ujung retak (pre crack)

Abstract

This study is to identify the picture of the use of disposable diapers in children aged prasekolah. Desain used in thisstudy is a simple descriptive with cross sectional approach. A sample of 57 people at Tk Az-Zuhra village Pekanbaru Simpang Tiga. The analysis used is a univariate analysis with frequency distribution. The results of this study found that the average age is 30.56 years old mother, the mothers last majority of education is higher education (50.9%), most of the work mothers are housewives (43.9%), the economic status of many with moderate status (54.4%). Most were female gender (57.9%), the average age was 48.14 months and age started using diapers 7.84 a month, and impaired skin as much as 36.8%. From the research results are expected to improve the mothers knowledge about the impact of using diapers to preschoolers who are at Tk Az-Zuhra village Pekanbaru Simpang Tiga.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic disease with characteristic hyperglycemia. Glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1C) > 7% indicated uncontrolled DM. Hyperglycemia causes excessive production of free radicals that trigger oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is caused primarily by superoxide anion mitochondrial DNA would undermine the core so that it will activate PARP. PARP is activated would inhibit the activity of GAPDH in the glycolytic pathway. Inhibited glycolysis pathway will lead to reactions that formed splinter polyol pathway, increased PKC and increased hexosamine pathway.The research design was cross sectional comparative study, conducted in Internal Medicine Department of Dr. M.Djamil Hospital in Padang, Biomedical Laboratory of Medical College, Chemical Laboratory of College of Mathematics and Physical Sciences Andalas University. The total number of samples are 70, divided into two group, consist of 35 people cases and 35 people controlled. ELISA method was used for examination of GAPDH activity.The research results are activity GAPDH in patients with T2DM in lower that the non DM, but not statistically significant. Regression correlation analysis for relationship between fasting blood sugar with the activity of GAPDH denoted weak correlation, r = 0,179 (p=0,139), and the relationship of blood glucose levels 2 hours post prandial with GAPDH levels in patients with T2DM obtained a weak correlation with r values = 0.039 (p = 0.749).The research conclusion are there is no significant difference between GAPDH activity in patients with T2DM and non DM, there is a weak relationship between hyperglycemia with GAPDH activity.
