Abstract

The lack of understanding in obstetrics and limit of instructional media has become one of the factors in the making of dictionary application of midwifery. The current dictionary is still a thick book with many terms in it and difficult to use. dictionary midwifery terms have a weakness in the search process, because users should search for words and terms manually by opening pages per page on the dictionary and existing data could not be changed.Keywords: Algorithm, Boyer Moore, Midwifery Dictionary.

Abstract

In the gardening activities that cannot be separated from the activities of watering plants. Almost everyone is still doing the activity of watering the plants manually, by watering the plants one by one is time-consuming enough and wasting energy. Watering plants is an activity that is always done every day by almost everyone that has plants at home, office and elsewhere. The activity of watering the plants manually can not know how much water is needed by the plant so that many plants die of excess water. With the development of technology provides ease of  watering plants. Technological advances include automatic plant watering, automatic plant watering equipment utilizing micro controller as a circuit brain that processes the entire series to be used for watering plants. Knowledge of fuzzy mamdani can be used as a reference when the plants watered or not to take the value of soil moisture and air temperature, so the need for water plants can be met.Keywords: automatic, air temperature, soil moisture, fuzzy mamdani

Abstract

Data processing system of inpatient medical records is one of the functions of the administration in providing services to patients to meet the demands, both for management of the hospital, patients, and paramedics. Hospitals in small urban areas are generally still doing manual processing (simple still be processing data in the handwritten form printed in report form archives). Based on these problems, we need solutions to make medical record information system using web services technology. Web service technology have used to synchronize data between the subunits in the hospital. Systems built using services more than one database that could be accessed via WSDL service and the data format used is XML. Abstract

Computer-based learning is now widely used in various schools both high school and college. The use of such computers can use of computers as aids in teaching and learning process. Along with advances in science and technology the teaching and learning process have demanded not only indoors in the form of face-to-face, but people can learn anytime and anywhere. One of the models that  used for this purpose is e-learning based learning model. But to use the model must be available media. With e-learning system to study online courses. Through this system, students can more easily access course syllables, course modules, assignments and many other information reinforced by lecturers in the e-learning system so students can access them easily, when and wherever. All announcements of syllabus, module, task and announcement in lecturer by lecturer of e-learning system. With these systems, will form learning between faculty and students in addition to face to face in the lecture hall. With such interaction, it is sure to enrich the learning system and improve the quality of education. Which have been  in demand and delivery according to the learning needs. Abstract

University databases such as technology and computer department at Harapan university of Medan keeps academic, administrative and students’ data in large volume. If the data is mined properly then it has been known the pattern or knowledge to make a decision. By having the data of Informatics Department graduated students, the information that obtained is the decision tree with the rules to predict the studying period of the informatics Department students at Harapan University of Medan. The data used for designing the decision tree consists of 6 predictor attributes (Gender, Region, Specialization, School, Parrents’  occupation and GPA) and 2 target attributes (Passed “On Time” and “Late”). Data analysis used C4.5 algorithm, it used 30 samples taken randomly from alumni data. The research results show the decision tree model with the rules of the students who pass “On Time” is students who have a high GPA and students who have a medium GPA with the focus robotics. Keywords : Data Mining,  C4.5 Algorithm, Decision Tree.

Abstract

This study aims to measure customer purchase behavior by using RFM model with K-Means, silhouette Index method. Using historical data by Cendana Perdana Perkasa Distributor to data this study. The company has never to measured customer buy behavior by this model. The results of this study showed that there 3 cluster with 0,589 silhouette Index. Based on the highest silhouette Index then the cluster is divided into 3 segment with some segments 1 is 57 customers, segment 2 is 257 customers and segment 3 is 8 customers. The best purchase value is segment 3 with symbolized byR↓F↑M↑ that means this segment has high frequency and monetary as well as low regency. The segment has potential customers for the future. The worst purchase value is segment 1 withv symbolised byR↑F↓M↓ that means this segment has low-frequency and monetary as well as high regency. Abstract

This research conducted to determine the level of user satisfaction of Universal University website so that the website administrator can get an overview of the level of user satisfaction as well as future evaluation materials. Measurement of user satisfaction used End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method. Measure of user satisfaction are two methods, End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) and User Information Satisfaction (UIS). Based on the research of Seddon & Yip [4] who conducted a comparison between the EUCS and UIS methods it was found that the EUCS method was more useful than the UIS method. The variables in this research are content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness. The samples in this study collected from 168 respondents consisting of 3 staffs, 17 lecturers and 148 students. The data collection used a closed questionnaire consisting of 13 question for the five variables being studied. From the data obtained, concluded that the overall level of user satisfaction is in the average value of 2.64 at level 3 (neutral), which means that according to the general respondents’ perception, Universal University website not said satisfactory but also not disappointing. Variables that have assessed as good enough are accuracy and ease of use, while for content, format, and timeliness are still considered for more improvement and developed again. Keywords: user, satisfaction, eucs, website

Abstract

At the beginning of the start of the business of breeding fish selection of freshwater fish cultivation becomes a difficult thing to do. The results of interviews with the Center for Research and Development of Freshwater Aquaculture said that there are 8 factors that influence the selection of freshwater fish cultivation seeds, namely temperature, water pH, location, elevation, dissolved oxygen, pond area, the ideal length of enlargement, feeding easier, fish. This research uses Decision Support System with Multi Objective Optimization By Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method as ranking and Entropy as weighting. The incorporation of the MOORA and Entropy methods gives the recommendation result by combining the objective systems subjective and subjective weights. It used priority criteria with temperature value 0,222, water pH 0,194, Eatability 0,111, community interest toward fish 0,055, dissolved oxygen 0,138, land height 0,167, ideal length of fish enlargement 0,027, and pool area 0,083 produce catfish as the best alternative of fish breeder water with value -0.1009.Keywords: Information, fish, DSS,  MOORA, Entropy

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to monitor the sentiments of a brand and classify it into positive,  negative or neutral sentiments. The steps of research have started from collecting data, indexing, searching and weighting process. Data are collected by crawling data from social media, such as Facebook and Twitter. After collecting data, then weighting process is done with a fuzzy logic method, where the fuzzy set is determined based on the highest number of positive and negative words in a sentence. Weighting process is calculated from TF (Term Frequency) which is the number of words that sought in the document. From the results, TF can be used to find the fuzzy set value and the number of positive or negative sentiments in a document. Mamdani method used to calculate the value of the final sentiment. From the calculation results, it can be shown that the average of sentiment analysis is 63.15%. Keywords:  Information, Sentiment analysis, brand, fuzzy logic, social media.

Abstract

This research is conducted based on the problem in teaching learning process of technical English for civil engineering in STT Harapan Medan. The use of lecturer method, copied and printed teaching material make the students unmotivated to learn English. The solution for this problem, it is needed to develop learning media based on CAI  (Computer Aided Instruction). The objective of this research is developing digital English media designed for civil engineering students. This research conducted qualitative method using Development Research methodology, it is used Four D Model.  Case of this research in STT Harapan Medan. The result of this research is the application of digital teaching materials in learning technical English, especially in grammar in civil engineering class. The digital teaching materials for grammar was designed by using SOM application and the exercise was designed by using cartoon story maker. Keywords:  Computer Aided Instruction, Multimedia
