Abstract

ABSTRAKKehidupan beragama Hindu tidak pernah lepas dari tiga kerangka dasar yang terdiri dari tatva (ajaran filsafat), susila (ajaran etika) dan acara (ajaran tentang ritual dan upacara agama). Dari ketiga ajaran ini, acara merupakan bungkus terluar yang dapat dilihat dengan jelas. Berbagai jenis acara dan ritual keagamaan yang ada dalam masyarakat Hindu tidak terlepas dari ajaran bhakti.Salah satu kitab suci yang mengajarkan ajaran bhakti adalah Bhagavadgita. Bagi sebagian umat Hindu, Bhagavadgita disebut sebagai veda kelima (pancama veda). Ajaran bhakti marga yang terkandung dalam Bhagavadgita antara lain: (1) ajaran bhakti yang dititikberatkan pada ketulusan hati dan cinta kasih kepada Tuhan; (2) bagi seorang bhakta, Tuhan dengan segala kemahakuasaanNya mampu disemayamkan didalam dirinya.Pemahaman yang mendalam tentang ajaran bhakti dapat dilihat tidak hanya dalam pelaksanaan yajna tetapi juga dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. Yang mana kesemuanya dilandasi atas cinta kasih yang tulus dan semata-mata demi Tuhan. ABSTRACT Hindu religious life is never separated from the three basic framework consisting of Tatva (teaching philosophy), moral (ethical teachings) and events (the doctrine of rituals and religious ceremonies). Of the three teachings, the event is an outer wrapper that can be seen clearly. Different types of events and religious rituals in the Hindu society is inseparable from the doctrine of bhakti.One of the scriptures that teach the doctrine of bhakti is the Bhagavadgita. For some Hindus, the Bhagavadgita referred to as the fifth veda (pancama veda). Marga bhakti teachings contained in the Bhagavadgita, among others: (1) an emphasis on teaching of devotional sincerity and love for God, (2) for a devotee, the Lord with all mightiness to lie within him.A deep understanding of the teachings of bhakti can be seen not only in the implementation but also in the yajna daily activities. Abstract

Abstrak  Kehidupan bermasyarakat dan berbangsa sangat ditentukan oleh ketaatan atas norma-norma yang ada di dalam masyarakat  baik pemerintah maupun umat (masyarakat) itu sendiri. Pada waktu lampau tidak sedikit norma agama di terjemahkan pemahamannya melalui norma adat istiadat setempat. Karena norma adat istiadat tersebut sifatnya rentan akan perubahan maka ketaatan norma adat mulai menurun.  Untuk lebih meningkatkan norma agama (Hindu) dibidang keperdataan bagian perkawinan dan kewarisan perlu diupayakan menjadi norma negara dalam bentuk Kompilasi Hukum Hindu. Upaya ini idealnya dimulai dari Perguruan Tinggi dengan menetapkan mata kuliah Hukum Perkawinan Hindu dan Hukum Kewarisan Hindu sebagai mata kuliah wajib pada Program studi yang bersangkutan dan sebagai mata kuliah pilihan pada program studi lainnya. Kata Kunci : norma agama, hukum Hindu, hukum perkawinan Hindu, hukum kewarisan hindu

Abstract

This research used the qualitative approach which discusses about the re-understanding of the education system in an attempt to growing the Hindu manners in children. The research of Hindu educational system, such as the gurukula, asrhama, mandala is used by teachers in the past both in India up to the Majapahit era is widely used by later such as education; boarding school, pasraman and even the national education. This situation became unclear when Hindu educational system meant only with religious activities, but is actually a field study in line with the modern Hindu education starting from the beginning of the development of students up to high levels and goals of national education. The results of this research were Hindu educational system is not fully implemented in Indonesia but rather adapt to the existing formal education. So in their implementation was carried out in the form of informal education pasraman education developed between education system taking Hindu with a curriculum used follows the national education curriculum. This paper presents the essence of Hindu educational system with the national education system, both of which have a purpose that education must be the result of the knowledge, attitudes and skills. Therefore, the implementation of the synergies of the Hindu education with national education should be implemented to achieve a winning Indonesian people and competitive in all areas of life in the confront era of globalization.

Abstract

Abstract In post-reform era, people change their way of thinking from collectivism to individualistic by the considering values of human rights. There is the controversy between them and rule ignorance. For instance, some people think that they have rights to do anything they want and they often neglect the rules in the society. To maintain the rules in creating the harmonious and peaceful life, shanti, Hindu has Parāśara Dharmaśāstra. The research questions are: 1) How is the Parāśara Dharmaśāstra concept in Hindu?, 2) How is the implementation of Parāśara Dharmaśāstra in post-reform era in order to keep Sradha and Bhakti for Hindu people that it concerns on Hindu fundamental framework?, 3) How is the implementation of Parāśara Dharmaśāstra in post-reform era in order to keep Sradha and Bhakti for Hindu people that it emphasizes on Tri Hita Karana concept. Parāśara Dharmaśāstra concerns on Tattva that is based on five beliefs, Panca Sradha consisiting of WidhiTattva, believe in God (Brahman), AtmaTattva, believe in Atman (the true self of an individual or the essence of an individual), Karmaphala Tattva, believe in karma (natural law of cause and effect), Punarbawa Tattva, believe in rebirth process (reincarnation), and MoksaTattva, believe that Atman and Brahman are integrated. Ethic is the reciprocal process to build the individual and social life harmoniously. Acarais the customary law including the Hindu holy rituals consisting PancaYajna and Tri Hita Karana as the theory in order to make the bliss. The implementation of Parāśara Dharmaśāstra that focuses on Hindu fundamental frameworkand Tri Hita Karanaaims to guide human beings as the individual and social people in gaining the awareness to reach the freedom in order to increase the quality of humanism and social life.  Key words: Implementation, Hindu Law (Dharmaśastra), śraddhā and bhakti.

Abstract

AbstractArthasastra is one of Upaweda parts. It reveals some aspects such as the politics, government, leadership, economics, justice, and administration. Kautilya who is the author is considered successfully to devote his political idea and make it as the book that can be used to reach the spiritual and material happiness. Those are expressed by Chandragupta who is prepared to be the leader and successor of Mauriya dynasty. Kautilya’s idea in Arthasastra is Hindu political philosophy that is still alive until this day.Keywords: Arthasastra, Kautilya, political philosophy

Abstract

AbstrakRamayana adalah merupakan sebuah epos yang berisi riwayat perjalanan hidup Rama yang dituliskan oleh Bhagawan Walmiki. Rumusan  masalahnya adalah bagaimana konsep kesetiaan seorang istri terhadap suami di masa sekarang.            Dalam hasil kajian pustaka Ramayana dan berbagai sumber penelitian, konsep kesetiaan istri dalam Ramayana antara lain kesetiaan seorang istri, kesetiaan suami, keteguhan hati, bhakti istri dengan melakukan kewajiban agama, serta istri sebagai penyambung generasi. Nilai-nilai keagamaan dan nilai kesetiaan dalam kisah Ramayana yang masih relevan dan tetap eksis dimasa sekarang adalah keberadaan istri sebagai pendamping suami.            Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa nilai-nilai kesetiaan  yang dijaga oleh Sita dalam kisah Ramayana adalah dharma keluarga yang dia jalankan dalam kehidupan rumah tangganya, sedangkan penerapannya pada kehidupan saat ini sangat jarang dijumpai karena pengaruh dari globalisasi yang membuat pandangan manusia modern terhadap agama dianggap sebagai sesuatu yang kolot. Dalam susatra Hindu, agama dan kesetiaan menjadi elemen yang sangat  fundamental didalam kehidupan rumah tangga untuk mewujudkan keluarga yang sejahtera dan bahagia. Kata kunci yaitu kesetiaan, suami, istri, dan Ramayana              AbstractRamayana is an epic that contains a history of Ramas life which was written by Bhagavan Valmiki. The formulation of the problem is how the concept of loyalty to a wife against her husband in the present.In the Ramayana literature results and various sources of research, the concept of loyalty wife in Ramayana include loyalty of a wife, husband loyalty, courage, devotion to his wife doing a religious duty, and his wife as a connector generation. Religious values and the value of loyalty in the Ramayana story that is still relevant and still exist in the present is the presence of the wife as a companion to her husband.Dati conclusion of this research is that the values of loyalty, guarded by Sita in the Ramayana is dharma family he run his home life, while its application to life today very rare due to the influence of globalization that makes modern human view of religion is considered as something old-fashioned. In susatra Hindu religion and loyalty become a fundamental element in the life of the household to achieve a prosperous and happy families. Keywords: fidelity, husband, wife, and the Ramayana

Abstract

This article aims to understand the education system according to Hindu teachings contained in the Vedic scriptures. The methods used in the research is a way of recording a document (document recording). While the review steps using literature study methods and descriptive methods. Literature review method is a method used to solve the problem by reading the books or literature support. While the descriptive method is a method of research conducted to describe the events that took place and then the data is systematically arranged in order to obtain a general conclusion. The results of data analysis showed that the education system is contained in the teachings of Catur Asrama (Brahmacari, Grahastha, Wanaprastha and Bhiksuka), which in its implementation has a very close relationship with Catur Purusartha elements, as the four goals of human life, and embraced the concept of lifelong education. Gurukula education model, the Ashram system build moral values and spiritual, disciplined, and obey the regulations studied. Educational concepts expressed in many Hindu scriptures like Vedas, Bhagavadgita, Sarasamuscaya, Kakawin Nitisastra, and Slokantara. Childrens education expressed in the Vedic scriptures emphasize on improving the quality of child suputra. Suputra child character, in addition to intelligent, knowledgeable, and have extensive knowledge, also has a noble character, sadhu and virtuous, and able to apply science and religion into itself in a balanced way, as well as the priamacy of human resources can be a professionalism.

Abstract

 ABSTRAKStri dalam bahasa sansekerta berarti pengikat kasih, fungsinya sebagai istri adalah menjaga jalinan kasih kepada suami dan anak-anaknya. Dalam konteks Dharma yang berarti guna perempuan disebut sebagai stri, sehingga muncul istilah Stri Dharma yaitu dharma seorang perempuan, perempuan harus mempunyai harga diri tanpa harga diri, seorang perempuan tidak dapat hidup damai dan bahagia. Stri Dharma dalam konteks sikap dan perilaku, Dharma seorang perempuan adalah menjadi anak perempuan yang baik dan benar, menjadi menantu yang berbudi pekerti yang baik, menjadi istri yang penuh setia, dan menjadi ibu yang baik dalam membimbing dan memperhatikan keperluan-keperluan anaknya. Dengan perbandingan beberapa istilah, perempuan mempunyai pengertian yang utama, mulia, suci dan patut dihormati. Dalam kitab suci Veda, sifat-sifat perempuan yang patut ditumbuhkembangkan adalah sebagai perintis (pelopor), cemerlang, pendukung (meringankan tugas suami dan orang tua), memberi atau menyuguhkan makanan, menjalankan dharma sebagai ibu pertiwi.Tulisan ini adalah untuk mendapatkan penegasan terhadap keberpihakan sastra suci Hindu terhadap kesetaraan dan emansipasi perempuan. Meski berfokus pada kitab Sarasamuscaya, namun penulis akan melakukan semacam komparasi dengan kitab suci Hindu lainnya, terutama dalam melakukan analisa mengenai peran dan tugas perempuan dalam menjalani kehidupan berkeluarga. Key words: stri dharma, Sarasamuscaya, peran wanita, perkawinan, keluarga ABSTRACTStri in Sanskrit means binding you, its function as a wife is to maintain the fabric of love for her husband and children. In the context of Dharma, which means for women called stri, so that the term dharma Stri Dharma is a woman, she must have no self-esteem, a woman can not live peacefully and happily. Stri Dharma in the context of attitudes and behaviors, Dharma of a woman is to be a good girl and true, to be a good daughter-in-law, being fully faithful wife and a good mother in guiding and attention to his purposes. By comparison some of the terms, women have a primary sense, noble, sacred and worthy of respect. In the Vedic scriptures, the properties that should be nourished to a women is a pioneer (pioneer), brilliantly, supporting (lighten the task of the husband and the parents), give or serve food, practicing the dharma as the motherland.This article is to obtain confirmation about the bias of Hindu sacred literature against womens equality and emancipation. Although the book focuses on Sarasamuscaya, but the author is going to do some sort of comparison with other Hindu scriptures, especially in the analysis of the role and duties of women in family life. Key words: stri dharma, Sarasamuscaya, the role of women, marriage, family

Abstract

AbstrakKitab Adiparwa merupakan bagian dari Mahabarata di dalam cerita-cerita Adiparwa mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan yang sangat tinggi yang dapat dipergunakan sebagai cermin dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Keberadaan Adiparwa di kelangan umat Hindu masih terbatas adanya, sedangkan nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terkandugn didalamnya apabila dikaji, disebarkan dan diamalkan akan dapat mengarahkan manusia ke jalan yang baik dan bahagia lahir dan batih terutama untuk membina mental spiritual.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali kandungan nilai-nilai pendidikan yag terdapat dalam kitab Adiparwa dan untuk mengetahui relevansinya terhadap pendidikan agama Hindu. Berdasarkan analisa kitab Adiparwa mengandung nilai-nilai yang dapat dijadikan pedoman dalam pendidikan agama Hindu seperti pendidikan kerohanian etika dan moral yaitu tentang perbuatan baik, hormat-menghormati antara sesama manusia, hormat terhadap orang tua, patuh, disiplin, jujur dan bertanggung jawab. Semua itu adalah untuk menuju ketentraman umat manusia dan kehidupan yang bahagia lahir dan batin. Kata Kunci: Adiparwa, Mahabarata, Pendidikan Hindu AbstractAdiparwa scripture is part of Mahabharata which contain high education values that can be used as a mirror in daily life. Adiparwa existence still limited among Hindus whereas the education values which contain inside of it if be reviewed, propagated and practiced will be able to guide people toward good path and to aim body and soul happiness especially to build spiritual mind.This study intends to explore the content of education values which contained inside Adiparwa scripture and to determine its relevance to Hindu education. Based on the analysis, Adiparwa contains values that can be used as guidance in Hindu education such as spirituality ethics and moral education which is about good attitude, respect to each other,  respect to parents, obedient, discipline, honest and responsible.
