Abstract

Today the rapid growth of the internet and the massive usage of the data have led to the increasing CPU requirement, velocity for recalling data, a schema for more complex data structure management, the reliability and the integrity of the available data. This kind of data is called as Large-scale Data or Big Data. Big Data demands high volume, high velocity, high veracity and high variety. Big Data has to deal with two key issues, the growing size of the datasets and the increasing of data complexity. To overcome these issues, today researches are devoted to kind of database management system that can be optimally used for big data management. There are two kinds of database management system, relational database management system and nonrelational system that can be optimally used for big data management. There are two kinds of database management, Relational Database Management and Non-relational Database Management. This paper will give reviews about these two database management system, including description, vantage, structure and the application of each DBMS. Abstract

Human resources are an important asset in the entire company operations activity. A human resources management support system should be provided to improve performance in  accordance with the company target. The purpose of this study is to design a model of operational and human resource management support systems that can integrate employee performance data, simplify management of employee data, and generate reports in the form of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and Binusian Level. Methodology used in this study is using literature study, design, and test a model to make operational and human resource management information system. Abstract

Software prototype is a simplified form of the real software which is developed to assist the upstream engineering activities. Developing the prototype is especially of importance in gathering the requirement and modeling the main functionalities of the software. Among tools available to prototype the software, Microsoft Excel, with its advantageous spreadsheet features and considerable popularity, is worthy to be considered as an alternative candidate. Several case studies are explored to show the usefulness of Microsoft Excel as a prospective tool in prototyping the visual softwares. Index Terms - prototype, software engineering, visual software.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the operational needs in human resources department to organize all the data and business processes that occur in this division. The role of the Human Resources division significantly to manage labor resources that contribute to the implementation of the organization’s operations. The objectives in this research is to build a model of information system that can support the operation in employee management system, which consists of employees’ personal data, attendance report, and document about employees competence. The method of this research refers to model lifecycle database [1]. The results achieved in this study was the establishment of a model of information systems and database design that can support the operations of the Human Resources Department that can be operated and controlled directly by the relevant employees, so that the operational process can be performed effectively and efficiently. Abstract

The success of a project is determined by the success of a software team in estimating the budget plan the cost of the software. The purpose of this paper is the creation, devise ways to estimate project budget software. To be able to compose a Planned Value (PV) project software required several steps. The first step is the preparation of WBS. Division of phase-phase creation of software applications in this paper follow the steps in the development of the software spiral. The second step is a software metric, method is the most straightforward and easiest in its application is a measurement based on metric size oriented. Intentionally taken a sample project that contains the work of hardware, so that can be made analysis unit price for the item that has a high price and need analysis. A summary of which can be taken from this discussion is the preparation method of estimating budget projects have successfully made systematically. How is made as simple as possible so that the team members have no experience whatsoever can make a budget. Keywords: Planned Value (PV) method, spiral, WBS, budget.

Abstract

Information is a valuable asset for the college. The need for safeguards against information becomes very necessary thing for a college. One standard that can be used to measure the maturity level of information security in an organization is the KAMI index developed by Depkominfo standards refer to ISO standard ISO / IEC 27001: 2009. This assessment is used to see how far the maturity level of information security in the college environment, which results can be used as a medium for evaluation in order to improve the information security of the college in the future. Abstract

The quality of the software can be measured by its return on investment. Factors which may affect the return on investment (ROI) is the tangible factors (such as the cost) dan intangible factors (such as the impact of software to the users or stakeholder). The factor of the software itself are assessed through reviewing, testing, process audit, and performance of software. This paper discusses the consideration of return on investment (ROI) assessment criteria derived from the software and its users. These criteria indicate that the approach may support a rational consideration of all relevant criteria when evaluating software, and shows examples of actual return on investment models. Conducted an analysis of the assessment criteria that affect the return on investment if these criteria have a disproportionate effort that resulted in a return on investment of a software decreased. Abstract

In the Korean express delivery service market, many companies have been striving to extend their own market share and interested in collaboration through sharing resources such as line-haul vehicles and service centers. Collaboration has recently attracted a great deal of attention as an effective way to secure competitive advantage for companies with limited resources. Some companies operate line-haul vehicles in milk-run types of pick-up and delivery services among consolidation terminals and service centers with locational disadvantages so they can represent as traditional pick-up and delivery problem (PDP). Abstract

Development of User Experience (UX) artifacts such as annotated wireframes, immersive prototypes, and detailed documentation should be done by a UX designer specialist, however most of them are not programmers. It can be done by using UX designer tools widely available today. Aside from what tools they used, this paper higlights forecasting the risk of an UX prototype project using weighted risk check list.
