Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan bahan ajar pengenalan metematika dasar berbasis komputer pada Taman kanak-kanak Sekolah Alam Bintaro. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Alam Bintaro Jakarta Selatan. Metodologi penelitian dan pengembangan bahan ajar mengacu pada model pengembangan pembelajaran J. Moonen, yang berisikan 5 langkah pengembangan. Hasil evaluasi terhadap produk pengembangan bahan ajar pengenalan Matematika dasar ini di review oleh para ahli guna mendapatkan input atas kelayakan bahan ajar sebelum di ujicobakan. Adapun bahan pembelajaran di review oleh ahli materi pembelajaran Matematika dasar, kemudian ahli desain pembelajaran dan ahli media pembelajaran. Kemudian di ujicobakan kepada sasaran pengguna produk khususnya Anak-anak usia 4-6 Tahun di Taman kanak-kanak Sekolah Alam Bintaro. Evaluasi dilaksanakan hingga tahap evaluasi formatif. Hasil evaluasi formatif menyatakan bahwa pengenalan matematika dasar berbasis komputer di Taman kanak-kanak Sekolah Alam Bintaro masuk dalam kategori Baik.

Abstract

Education is very important for the development of early age children and in the education process, they should be cared by profesional teachers. This study aimed at identifying the competence of the graduates from PG PAUD FIP UNNES located in Central Java. Applying survey method, the study collected data using questionnaire to be analyzed with descriptive statistics. The results showed that the graduate competence belongs to the high category. However, the existing competence still needs to be further developed to maximize the role of early childhood education institutions.

Abstract

The moral development of children at Dharmawanita kindergarten in Padang State University is still low, it seems that there are still children with less understanding of good and bad attitude from their behaviors, like disturbing children, less emphaty feeling and unhappy to play with their friends, and also unused to say thank. One of the causes are the teacher’s effort to grow morale and incorrect method in teaching it. The purpose of this research is to fix the teacher’s ways in growing morale lesson through educated and joyful fables. This research is the classroom action research, the research which increases the learning quality. The research data done by observation and interview. The classroom action research done in two cycluses. The result of this research had shown that there is the increase of children morale development, in cyclus 1, the moral development of children was still low, after cyclus II had been done, there was increasement. Based on the classroom action research, there was an increase of children morale development, it seemed before the action in the early percentage of children ability which was very high 13,23 %, in cyclus I it got increased into 36, 76 %, meanwhile in cyclus II, it got great increased into 77.44%. it shows that there is an increasement of children morale development from the early action before cyclus till cyclus II. The conclusion is telling fable can increase the children morale development. The writer suggests to the readers that this thesis can be used as the source to explore the knowledge increasing the children morale development.

Abstract

Some problems are often faced in educating children to be self-reliant. On the other hand independency is much required in their future life. This research conducted in RSPA Cisurupan, Garut, in April 2010 until April 2011, aimed at developing an integrated training model to improve function and social roles of the children in the independency. Employing research and development design with planning, preparation, implementation and maintaining, as well as evaluation, the model development involved the parents or the family members and the children. The research produced the Integrated Training Model to Improve the Function and Social Roles of the Children in Developing the Self-reliance, which had been validated in this research.

Abstract

Literacy/illiteracy is not a simple matter. It does not only show whether a person can read and write words and letters, but also whether a person can face complicated problems of human life. Illiterate persons usually have weaknesses in understanding their own problems comprehensively. They suffer from an inferiority state of mind. They usually feel less important than others as they are unable to solve their own problems. Literacy education for youths and adults as a movement to improve the human life condition, therefore, should not be understood in a technical level i.e. teaching reading and writing letters and words. Words are not empty. Words represent human thought about world and reality. They also represent the users’ desire to do something. So, literacy education for youths and adults must be designed to improve the learners’ cognition, and to develop a new perspective of self-consciousness in relation to the willingness to cope with the learners’ life problems. The youths and adults learning activities must be based on transformative perspective, as they have been involved in the social development. The learning activities must transform them to be active participants or agents in the social development. Literacy education indeed must be considered in a wider understanding and not in a simple one.

Abstract

The education level of many adult people generally is low. The result of examining towards a considerable body of literature on the concepts of andragogy shows that now many of practices of adult education and training have been conducted by using a pedagogical approach. Their practices are not effective since the orientation toward learning for adult people is one of subject-centeredness. Consequently, the education and training for adults should be promoted by using andragogybased learning and the orientation toward learning is one of problem-centeredness.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of quantum learning method to the learning achievement in English subject for the learning participants at the Community Learning Activities Center in Pisangan Lama area, East Jakarta. The study was conducted at Miftahul Jannah Community Learning Activities Center, Pisangan Lama, East Jakarta, for one semester, from August to December 2008. It observed the effects in cognitive, affective, psychomotor aspects to the learning participants of Package C. The method employed was experiment in which the researcher was directly involved. The data were collected from 40 Package C participants randomly selected as the samples out of 70 participants of Grade III. The experiment proved that there are significant effects of quantum learning method to the learning achievementin English subject for the learning participants at Miftahul Jannah Community Learning Activities Center, East Jakarta.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to know the differences in reading and writing achievement between non-formal participants with conventional evaluation and those with portfolio evaluation treatment and between those of 15 years age or under and those of above 15 years age or above, and the interaction type of evaluation and age variable. The design of this research used Factorial Experiment 2X2. Research population covered all of those who learnt at Community Learning Activities Center in Makassar. Eighty respondents were selected by multi stage random sampling. Data on reading and writing learning achievement were obtained using a test and analyzed using descriptive statistic analysis and inferential analysis with Multivariate Analysis of Variants (two-way MANOVA). The research conducted in 2005 indicates that there are significant differences in reading and writing achievement between non-formal participants with conventional evaluation and those with portfolio evaluation treatment and between those of 15 years age or under and those of above 15 years age or above. These findings imply that in implementing functional literacy program, the application of different evaluation models to different age group need to be considered.

Abstract

Community learning center (PKBM) tutors should have professional pedagogic, personal and social competencies. This study aimed at investigating whether the tutors in PKBM Miftahul Jannah, East Jakarta  have such competencies. This study also investigated the learners. achievement . A survey using questionnaire was conducted for that purpose. This study reveals that the tutors have such competencies whereas the learners' achievement vary. This study also provides suggestions to improve the tutors quality.

Abstract

Symbiotic programs provide alternative solutions to improve the quality of educators and teachers of non-formal education through the cooperation of mutual assistance between them. The programs provide a positive reciprocity between students majoring in Early Childhood Education and the teachers of Early Childhood Education in schools. The programs are conducted in the form of exchanging the theory and application of various knowledge of child education, media development, and "how to teach" development.
