Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to analyze and examine the differences ofOrganizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), job satisfaction, and work stressamong male and female nurses in Balung Hospital of Jember Regency. This is aquantitative research. Data were analyzed using two independent samples t-test.The research population was 102 nurses in the inpatient wards. Using proportionalstratified random sampling method, the sample was 82 respondents consisted of45 female nurses and 37 male nurses. The results of hypothesis testing showedthe differences of OCB, job satisfaction, and work stress among male and femalenurses in Balung Hospital of Jember Regency. The female nurses had higher levelof OCB, job satisfaction, and work stress compared to the male nurses.Keywords: OCB, Job Satisfaction, and Work Stress.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menguji apakah terdapatperbedaan Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), kepuasan kerja, dan streskerja pada perawat pria dan wanita di bagian rawat inap Rumah Sakit Daerah(RSD) Balung Kabupaten Jember. Pendekatan riset yang digunakan dalampenelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah twoindependent samples t-test. Populasi penelitian adalah 102 orang perawat dibagian rawat inap. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan metodeproportional stratified random sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 82 respondenyang terdiri dari 45 perawat wanita dan 37 perawat pria. Hasil pengujian hipotesismenunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan OCB, kepuasan kerja, dan stres kerjaantara perawat pria dan wanita di bagian rawat inap RSD Balung KabupatenJember yang mana tingkat OCB, kepuasan kerja, dan stres kerja perawat wanitalebih tinggi dari pada perawat priaKata Kunci: OCB, Kepuasan Kerja, dan Stres Kerja.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to examine the effect of intellectual capital onEarning Per Share (EPS) especially on the company operating in the basic andchemical industries. This study used purposive sampling method to collectsecondary data sourced from Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the period of2012-2016. The population was all companies operating in basic and chemicalindustries that listed in IDX for the period of 2012-2016, with the sample consistedof 58 companies. Data were analyzed by multiple linear regression. The resultsshowed that Value Added Capital Employed (VACA) had a significant effect onEPS, meaning that the proper use of the capital would increase company valuethat would finally increase its EPS. Value Added Human Capital (VAHU) also hada significant effect on EPS, meaning that the company’s good human resourcesmanagement would create added value to increase profit that would ultimatelyincrease EPS. However, Structural Capital Value Added (STVA) had no significanteffect on EPS, meaning that the company had not achieved competitive advantagedue to less optimal management of structural capital and EPS.Keywords: Intellectual Capital, VAHU, STVA, VACA, and EPS.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh dari modal intelektualterhadap Earning Per Share (EPS). khususnya pada perusahaan yang bergerakdalam industri dasar dan kimia. Data sekunder bersumber dari Bursa EfekIndonesia (BEI) yang diambil berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Sampelpenelitian terdiri dari 58 perusahaan yang bergerak dalam industri dasar dan kimiayang terdaftar di BEI periode 2012-2016. Metode analisis data yang digunakanadalah regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruhsignifikan Value Added Capital Employed (VACA) terhadap EPS yang berartibahwa penggunaan modal secara tepat akan menaikan nilai perusahaan untukmeningkatkan nilai keuntungan per lembar sahamnya. Value Added HumanCapital (VAHU) mempengaruhi EPS, yang mengindikasikan bahwa pengelolaansumber daya perusahaan yang baik berdampak pada terciptanya nilai tambah bagiperusahaan untuk meningkatkan laba yang nantinya mampu menambah jumlahEPS. Namun, variabel Structural Capital Value Added (STVA) tidak berpengaruhterhadap EPS yang mengindikasikan bahwa keunggulan bersaing perusahaanbelum dapat tercapai karena pengelolaan structural capital dan EPS yang belumoptimal.Kata Kunci: Modal Intelektual, VAHU, STVA, VACA, dan EPS.

Abstract

Abstract:The cement industry is facing a new business era as more cement producers joining the domestic market competition that causesthe shift on the existing cement consumption map. This research aims to identify the company’s internal and external factors and to formulate best alternative strategy for the company “A” in facing the market competition in East Java Province. The strategy is formulated by using Strengths Weaknesess Opportunities andThreats(SWOT) analysis, Strategic Position and Action Evaluation (SPACE) and Grand Strategy (GS)matrix continuedby Quantitative Strategic PlanningMatrix (QSPM). Results show thatthe company should use aggressive strategy focusing on market penetration, aggressive promotion, increased selling power, and product development in order to expand the market in East Java Province. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to analyze the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction and loyalty. Population of the research is all customers of conventional banks in Situbondo. Purposive sampling method was used with the sample consisted of 115 respondents. Results of path analysis test showed that physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and customer satisfaction had significant effect on customer loyalty. Abstract

Abstract:The purpose ofthis study was to examine the effect of city branding on city image, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty in Ambon City. The population was the domestic and foreign tourists who visited tourism spots in Ambon. Sampling method used was purposive sampling with a sample size of 160 respondents. The analysis too lused was Stuctural Equation Modelling. Results showed that there was a significant effect of city branding on city Image, city branding on customer satisfaction, city branding on customer loyalty, city image on customer satisfaction, city image on customer loyalty, and customer satisfaction on customer loyalty in Ambon City. Abstract

Abstract: This study is aimed to analyze the effect of leadership, work environment,and reward on the employee’s performance at Perum Pegadaian Besuki. The population was all employees of Perum Pegadaian Besuki. The samples were consisted of32 respondents. Multiple linear regression was employed as the method of analysis. The results show that leadership has positive and significant effecton employee performance, work environment has positive and significant effect on employee performance, reward has positive and significant effect on employee performance,and leadership, work environment, and reward have positive and significant effect on employee performance of Perum Pegadaian Besuki.  Keywords: Leadership, Work Environment, Reward, and Employee’s Performance

Abstrak: Research titled Influence Situational leadership style, Compensation, Environmental Working towards Motivation and Job Satisfaction on the Market Office of Jember Regency aims to analyze and determine the effect of Situational Leadership styles, Compensation, Environmental Working towards Motivation and Job Satisfaction on Market Agency. The population in this study were all employees at the Department of Revenue Lumajang. The research sample of 50 respondents, the method of accidental sampling. To know and analyze the influence of leadership style Situational, Compensation, Environmental Working towards motivation and job satisfaction of employees at the Market Office Jember while the method of analysis in this study were Path Analysis (Path Analysis) and the results of this study are variable leadership style Situational (X1) , Compensation (X2) and the Working Environment (X3) was significantly to variable Motivation (Z) and variable leadership style Situational (X1), compensation (X2) and the Working Environment (X3) was significantly to variable job satisfaction (Y), and Motivation ( Z) significant effect on job satisfaction (Y). With the research is expected to provide additional insight into the benefits of the development of science and consideration, contribute ideas or useful information for the Department of Revenue Lumajang for decision making. Abstract

Abstract: This reserach aims to analyze the ability of financial ratios in predicting financial distress. It was a quantitative research using logistic regression model to analyze the ability of current ratio, return on assets, total assets turn over, and debt to assets ratio in predicting companies financial distress. The population of this research were the basic industry and chemical companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. 52 companies satisfy the criteria. Sample were divided into two groups, 19 potentially financial distress companies and 33 not potentially financial distress companies. Result indicates that current ratio, return on assets, and debt to assets ratio acted as predictor of financial distress, while total assets turn over could not predict financial distress. Current ratio and return on assets have negative significant impact on predicting financial distress. Debt to assets ratio have positive significant impact on predicting financial distress.Keywords: Financial distress, Financial ratios, Logistic regression, Net profit

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of work-family conflict on service performance and organizational commitment through fatigue on the staff of Teaching Staff in the Academic Department of Jember University. This research was conducted at the University of Jember with a population of 167 employees of Education Personnel in the Academic section and a number of students from each faculty. The sampling techniques used are purposive sampling for the employee and accidental sampling for the student respondents. So the sample collected were 82 employees and 82 students. Analytical techniques using Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA). Result of this research: (1) there is no influence between work-family conflict on service performance and organizational commitment directly; (2) but there is an influence between work-family conflict on performance and organizational commitment indirectly through fatigue. So it can be concluded that fatigue is a perfect mediation variable.Keywords: Work-family Conflict, Fatigue, Service Performance, and Organizational Commitment

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the effect of budget participation on managerial performance with organizational commitment and motivation as the intervening variables. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to structural officials of the Government of Bondowoso Regency. The collected data were then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results showed that budget participation has significant and positive effect on managerial performance. Budget participation also has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment and motivation. Results of the research also demonstrate that organizational commitment and motivation have positive and significant effects on managerial performance. Budget participation also affects managerial performance through organizational commitment and motivation.
