Abstract

The research materials development begins from the procurement process of the learning materials that are always revised with an uncertain time, contains a theme that is not necessarily in accordance with the problems that exist in the unit of education. The research is also conducted for positive character reinforcement because arguing activities often lead to selfishness in an effort to defend opinion, so debate participants often do not control the ethics of speech when arguing. Development research at class x students of SMA YPM Diponegoro Tenggarong Seberang used R&D technique approve and method while the learning system is reinforced Dick & Carey model. In collecting techniques are done by language validation techniques experts, tests, leaner’ responses, teacher’s responses, and interviews. The result showed that 20 out of 25 students (80%) completed the assessment of knowledge. Based on the observation of all teams capable of performing their duties well. The use of this method also makes the students able to achieve learning goals up to 96%. Based on the result of discussions with various parties, the role playing method is generally feasible to be used in the learning process and able to strengthen the character of leaners.

Abstract

This study aims to develop text learning materials to write complex procedures with learning discovery learning model using audio visual media (video). The research form used is research and development method (R&D). The design used in the research and development of this teaching material adopted from Borg and Gall design model. This development research was conducted in SMA. The result of validation of this teaching material proved to be valid with the average of validation of content (material) 82% said valid, validation of 100% validity of the linguist, and the validation result of the media expert on the 93% video assessment stated very valid and on the handbook rating 84% students stated very valid. The results of the class XI test of SMA showed 86% stated very valid. From the result of data analysis through t-test formula yield Thitung (13,68)> ttabel (1,703), so there is cognitive difference between before and after student use instructional material developed in book with learning discovery learning modeling using audio-visual media with material text of complex class XI procedures. Then the results of the development that has been done to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Literature and character education are two things that can not be separated. Literature as a reflection of the life of the community, generally teaches the reader to be able to understand the wisdom of the displayed story. Literature can be used as a medium of learning, especially in the process of internalization of the value of character education to learners. The value of character education in the literary work is expected to be followed by the students. Currently Indonesia is experiencing moral degradation. The need for moral cultivation to the learners aims to create human beings who are virtuous in the future. Each subject has the right to internalize character education to learners. So in the Indonesian language, the process of characterization of character education can be done when learning on literary materials. This study aims to describe the value of character education in Solopos childrens stories. this research is included in qualitative discrptive research. The results of this study concluded that in the story Solopos child, there is a value of character education that can be taught to learners, especially at elementary school level. The results showed that this childs story can be used as a reference for teachers, as a medium to internalize character education at elementary school level.

Abstract

Language cannot be separated from culture. In fact, language is the cultural expression of a nation. An agrarian culture in Indonesian has undergone internalization, giving birth to new words and phrases. The results of this study show several words and phrases which are idioms in Indonesian with the process of internalization of agrarian culture. The words and phrases of the agrarian culture can be found in agricultural terms, for example lahan basah, membanting tulang, memeras keringat, panen, mencairkan, and others. These words and phrases have blended in peoples minds and expressed everyday culture. Who knows who started and where it came from. However, the Indonesian language user community has accepted these terms as ancestral cultural heritage.  Understanding idioms seems difficult if you only understand the meaning of conventions from Indonesian speakers. The semantic load contained in the concept of idioms is too long a derivative chain. Therefore, this paper bridges Indonesian language users to understand the concept of Indonesian idioms which is an internalization of the Indonesian agrarian culture itself.

Abstract

Permasalahan bahasa daerah tidak kunjung berakhir dari tataran terbesar (wacana) sampai pada tataran terkecil (kata). Pembentukan kata dalam bahasa daerah melalui proses penambahan afiks (afiksasi) menjadi menarik dibahas bila analisisnya lebih menekakan penggambaran proses. Bahasa daerah merupakan bahasa yang memperkaya perbendaharaan kata berimbuhan dalam bahasa Indonesa. Pembinaan dan pegembangan serta pemeliharaan bahasa daerah dilakukan dengan kegiatan penelitian terhadap aspek kebahasaan, baik secara keseluruhan maupun sebagian. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada Afiks Bahasa Dayak Benuaq Kampung Jengan Danum Kecamatan Damai Kabupaten Kutai Barat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana bentuk afiks, fungsi dari afiks yang melekat pada bentuk dasar basaha benuaq dan apa makna afiks yang melekat pada bentuk dasar tersebut. Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif, teknik yang digunakan dalam menganalisis data ialah teknik BUL dan data penelitian ini adalah seluruh kata berafiks yang dituturkan dari penutur asli Dayak Benuaq Kampung Jengan Danum. teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik rekam, teknik cakap libat semuka dan teknik simak cakap. peneitian ini dilakukan di Kampung Jengan Danum Kecamatan Damai Kabupaten Kutai Barat dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa Bahasa Dayak Benuaq Kampung Jengan Danum diketui memiliki tiga bentuk afiks yaitu prefiks, sufiks dan kombinasi afiks. Prefiks yaitu : {be-}, {pe-}, {peN-}, {te-}, dan {N-}. sufiks : {-tn} dan kombinasi afiks {ke- + N- }dan {se- + N-}. afiks dalam Bahasa Benuaq Jengan Danum Mempunyai fungsi mengubah kategori kata ialah adjektiv menjadi verba, verba menjadi adjetiv, nomina menjadi verba dan nomina menjadi adjektiv, makna yang muncul akibat pembubuhan afiks dengan kata dasar Bahasa Dayak Benuaq Kampung Jengan Danum ialah, menyatakan tindaka, menyatakan akibat, menyatakan pekerjaan, menyatakan sedang melakukan suatu pekerjaan. Abstract

This study was conducted with the aims of (1) developing teaching materials to write short with storyboard media on high school students; (2) make a lesson plan of writing short story with storyboard media at grade X of high school students; (3) implementation of writing short story with storyboard media at rade X of high school students; (4) knowing the effectiveness of teaching materials in writing short story by using storyboard media at grade X of high school students. This study need a development research method adapted from the Borg and Gall development model with 10 stages beginning with needs analysis, planning, initial product development, initial product revision, product trial, product revision, small field trial, revision product, operational field test (large group), final product revision, and product dissemination and implementation. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that the teaching materials to write short story with the developed storyboard media was considered feasible and effective to be used as teaching materials for Bahasa Indonesia at Grade X of high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the social behavior and the factors that influence the social behavior of the main character in Pengakuan Pariyem novel by Linus Suryadi. To achieve these goals, this study used social psychology theory and interpersonal theory (FIRO—Fundamental Interpersonal Relation-Orientation) popularized by William C. Schultz. This research is a qualitative research and descriptive method with psychology of literature studies. The results showed that when viewed from the type of inclusion, Pariyem was a figure who had social behavior. Social behavior found in Pariyem arises from his social interaction with several figures.
