Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) menggunakan model pengembangan yang diadaptasi dariBorg dan Gall. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran Biologi dengan model Guided Inquiry yang layak untuk meningkatkan creative thinking siswa dan (2) mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan perangkat pembelajaran model Guided Inquiry untuk meningkatkan creative thinking siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMAN 2 Bantul tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa observasi, angket, dan tes tertulis. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian pengembangan ini berupa: (1) perangkat pembelajaran biologi dengan model Guided Inquiry yang layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan creative thinking siswa dan (2) pembelajaran dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran model Guided Inquiry berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan creative thinking siswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa dan faktor penyebabnya tentang konsep momen gaya. Sejumlah 71 siswa terdiri dari 36 siswa kelas XI IPA dan 25 siswa kelas XII IPA diberikan tes tertulis terbuka terkait materi momen gaya. Hasil tes tertulis dikategorikan menjadi respon ilmiah, respon tidak ilmiah, dan tidak merespon. Diambil sebanyak 30 siswa yang memiliki respon yang dominan untuk dilakukan wawancara dan pengambilan sampel didasarkan pada opportunity sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kualitatif tes tertulis dan wawancara disimpulkan bahwa (1) respon tak ilmiah lebih mendominasi pada kedua kelas dan (2) penyebabnya dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu: intuisi, kurang pemahaman, fragmentasi, dan apresiasi konseptual.

Abstract

Analysis of Argumentation in Socio-Scientific Issues of junior High School Students. The 21st Century Education focuses on the development of the competence in creativity, critical-thinking, communication, and collaboration. Based on that reason, the argumentation can be one of the solutions to answer this issue since it facilitates the critical-thinking and communication competences. Arguments can be used in socio-scientific issues that present open problems and debatable. The aims of research is to find out the quality of the argumentation on the socio-scientific issue through the plastic theme of the topic of pollution. Argumentation analysis using TAP (Toulmin's Argument Pattern) consisting of 6 components, namely claims, data, warrant, backing, qualifier, and rebuttals. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the quality of the argumentation in the socio-scientific issues of junior high school students was still low. The low quality of argumentation is caused by the poor of students' concept understanding.

Abstract

Exploring Critical Thinking And Students Curiosity Through Simple Inquiry Laboratory Activity. This study is a preliminary research to explore critical thinking skills and students curiosity of primary school in understanding science through simple inquiry laboratory activities. Participants are 20 students of 4th grade from one of the primary schools in Bandung. The researcher uses descriptive method to describe student activity during learning, student idea, and student's response in learning, obtained through personal communication, student worksheet and questionnaire. In the first lab activity, researchers used plasticine to explore students' ideas for design 3 objects for exploring science concept namely "floating, drifting and sinking. In the second activity students are directed to apply the concept that has been obtained in the first activity, which is they should selecting and classify red bean and corn with good quality and bad quality that used to be seeds. The results show that critical thinking ability and students curiosity begin look when they design objects that are expected for floating and drifting. Students are enthusiastic about experimenting and trying to recreate if their plasticine design fails. Trial and error activities are also stimulate them to continue their idea to find the right design objects. That concepts can be applied by student in daily life to select and classify seeds with good and less quality, and they are enthusiastic to plant it and compare it growth. Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the characteristics and forms of matter; similarly determine the validity, reliability, as well as the students' response to the measurement results HOT reasoning about TIMSS models to measure student HOT developed. The method used is the research development. Products in the form of multiple choice questions as well as the reasons of the students' answers. Student responses obtained from the questionnaire responses the students after using such a matter. Based on the criteria of due diligence in a very good product. Characteristic of reasoning about TIMSS models which contain components reasoning refers to the TIMSS. About the validity of the overall test results show that the question is valid and feasible to use to measure student HOT. Reliability test results indicate that the matter is reliable and can be used well. Student response after use problems in the excellent category, obtained a percentage of 82.66%. HOT measurement results in the category of students is still low, at SMPN 8 Semarang amounted to 51.54%, SMP Kartika III-2 Semarang amounted to 31.16%, and the MTs NU amounted to 47.68% Ungaran. Problem reasoning models that have been developed decent TIMSS used to measure student HOT.

Abstract

The challenge of the 21st century is how teachers as much as possible integrate learning with information technology. Lecturers often find slides prepared by students when the presentation is not good, for example: full text and not contrast. The purpose of this study is to explain how the implementation, response, constraints, and difficulties during the development of materials in the form of a powerpoint slide on the material outside the plant structure. The research approach is based on qualitative research. Data obtained from questionnaires, interviews, and observations on PGMI students Semester 4 academic year 2017/2018. Data analysis using Miles and Haberman version. The results showed that the implementation of the training through three stages of pre-training, training and evaluation. Training includes 10 menus, namely: making titles, core competencies, basic competencies, indicators, concept maps, aperception, sub material outside structure in plants, insert windows media player, practice questions, and compile learning resources. All the trainees were pleased with the material development training through the presentation slides, 75% said they were useful, and 87.25% said Powerpoint training was something new. The material difficulties faced by students are 50% in the form of structure and content, 25% are Powerpoint templates, 12.5% difficulties create hyperlinks and insert windows video player. Technical obstacles faced in general are 62.5% in the form of time settings, 25% HR, and 12,% laptop supplies are limited.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan dan mendeskripsikan jenis jenis kesulitan belajar fisika pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di Kota Semarang. Sampel penelitian dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa SMP kelas VIII di Kota Semarang yang ditentukan secara cluster sampling menurut peringkat sekolah dilihat dari hasil nilai ujian nasional. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif, data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini berupa data hasil belajar siswa pada materi cahaya kelas VIII.Hasil dari analisis hasil belajar siswa tersebut didapatkan kesulitan belajar fisika siswa SMP di Kota Semarang secara umum meliputi indikator kesulitan belajar berhitung 41,48 %, kesulitan pemahaman konsep 42,3 % serta kesulitan mengartikan lambang dan mengkoversi satuan 37,89 %.Adanya deskripsi kesulitan belajar ini dapat dijadikan acuan oleh penulis lain untuk dapat mengurangi kesulitan belajar yang dialami oleh siswa dengan penerapan model dan metode pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan sesuai.

Abstract

Development of "Greater" Learning Model on Chemistry Learning as an Effort to Embed Students' Science Literacy. This study aimed producing a learning models named GREATER (Gear Up, Read, Explore, Analyze, Tell, Elaborate, Reflection) to foster the scientific literacy. The research method was Research and Development used simplified Borg and Gall consisting of two stages, research and development. Phase I includes 1) a field study and 2) study of literature producing factual models. Phase II includes 1) planning the design of the product, 2) validation expert, 3) revision I, 4) small-scale trials, 5) revision II, 6) a limited scale trials and 7) effectiveness test. The products included manual book, lesson plans, worksheets, reading material and KWHLAQ chart and achievement test. The research population were one class in SMA PGRI 1 Maospati and two classes in SMAN 1 Sukomoro. The instrument were the scientific literacy test, observation sheets, questionnaires. The results showed 1)  expert validatition was obtained a valid scores meaning that the model was considered feasible to be applied in classroom setting. 2) empirically, showed the pretest and post score showed increase from 35.16% to 62.23% of students who answered correctly, while the percentage of students who answered “do not know” down from 19.43% to 12.63%. Model GREATER effective at improving the student’s scientific literacy and they become more familiar with the scientific phenomena, variable scientific investigation and interpreting data.

Abstract

This research had purpose to develop of the creating tactile media applied to science learning. It can be done because of learning science in elementary school today still require effort to meet the expectations of the applicable curriculum. Creativity and cognitive learning outcomes of children towards science learning was very low. Difficulties they earn require concrete media in learning. This study aimed to apply the guidance manufacture tactile media to create media that was applied in science learning is then seen its effectiveness against creativity and cognitive learning outcomes of students. The subjects were students 4th grades elementary school Entalsewu 2016/2017 as many as 25 students. The result showed that the general guidelines developed was in good category, with a value of N-Gain creativity test results, obtained in the posttest and pretest with a range of scores 0.9, which means the higher the score range. The overall of testing the cognitive learning classically posttest were complete with a percentage of 100%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan maksud dari QS. Al A’raf ayat 58 dimana terdapat isyarat ilmiah yang menarik untuk dikaji. Allah telah menciptakan tumbuhan yang mana dapat tumbuh dari tanah yang baik. Isyarat Ilmiah yang disebutkan masih bersifat global sehingga perlu kajian yang lebih spesifik untuk mengetahui secara detail makna dari ayat tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian pustaka yakni mengumpulkan  data atau bahan dari berbagai sumber ilmu yang diperlukan dalam menyelesaikan artikel ini. Hasil kajian menunjukan bahwa dalam QS. Al A’raf ayat 58 tentang tanah yang baik adalah tanah yang subur. Tanaman dapat tumbuh yang salah satu syaratnya yaitu adanya tanah atau media tanam. Media yang baik (subur) akan membuat tanaman tersebut tumbuh dengan baik. Kandungan mineral yang cukup dalam tanah merupakan pengaruh utama terhadap tanaman untuk tumbuh. Tanah yang subur dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor seperti  mineral, kadar pH, kelembapan, lapisan humus dan kadar biota. Tanaman akan tumbuh subur pada tanah yang baik sehingga tanah yang subur tentu menjadi ladang rezeki bagi manusia. Deskripsi saintifik pada Al-Qur’an akan memberikan pengetahuan dari dua sisi ilmu yang berbeda (sains dan agama). Karena pada dasarnya ilmu yang ada di dalam Al-Qur’an sudah tidak diragukan lagi. Dengan begitu, manusia diwajibkan untuk menjaga kelestarian atau kesuburan tanah sebagai wujud syukur dan iman kepada Allah Swt atas apa yang telah karuniakan kepada manusia.
