The aim of Educan journal is to publish high-quality articles dedicated to all aspects of the latest outstanding developments in the field of Islamic education. The scope of this journal is about Islamic Education, Moral Education, Education of Pesantren (Pondok), Education Technology, Learning Methods, Curriculum Design and Development. It was first published in 2017 in press version and published by an online system in 2018.

Abstract

Patience and obedience in the story of the Prophets Ibrahim and Ismail had an effect on Islamic Education, because they been able to run and do God's command with sincerity, patience, without any doubt and complaints in the heart. The purpose of this discussion is to know the effect of education on patience in the story of Prophet Ibrahim and Ismail. This type of research is literature of view, while in the analysis using Descriptive Analytical Method and Content Analytical Method. The patience in Islamic Education in the story of Ibrahim and Ismail includes: 1. The patience and the obedience will lead men to live happily in the world and the hereafter, 2. The deliberation will result in agreements that have been agreed by many parties, 3. The patience and the obedience will making a very confident heart to God's commandments, 4. A servant's love for His Lord beyond all else in the world on the basic of patience and obedience.

Abstract

This paper is the result of library research with the focus of research is Out of School Education. The researcher used the data collection techniques from various backgrounds and off-school education. The purpose of this research is (1) To know the essence of lifelong education, (2) To know the implementation of lifelong education in Out of School Education, (3) To know the life-long educational implication in Out of School Education. The result of this study can be concluded that the out-of-school education based on lifelong education is oriented towards the challenges and behaviors of learners toward maturity. The writer found there are three stages of implementation of the concept of Long Life Education in Islam, lifelong education in a family environment, lifelong education in formal education, and lifelong education in non-formal education. The lifelong educational implications of PLS exist with programs that are oriented towards Education and Writing, Vocational Education, Professional Education, Education toward Change and Development.

Abstract

Education is a strong foundation for a good relationship between a servant and his god, also between humans themselves. Good morality possessed by a person is not born by it self, but requires a long process that is with moral education. Gontor For Girls Campus 3 is a boarding school that always emphasizes moral education rather than teaching. Some of the many rensposible of branch have not set a good example in branch. So many of the first class who have character less good because the responsible of branch that has not given a good example in every activity. The purpose of this research to know: 1) How to implement education of morality through exemplary of first class rayon boards at Gontor For Girls Campus 3, 2) supporting factors and obstacles in the implementation of moral education through exemplary first class rayon board in Gontor For Girls Campus 3. This research is a field research that is Descriptive Qualitative, data collection techniques used are: Interview, Obsevation, Documentation. And to analyze the data, the researcher uses Miles and Hubarman methods, namely: Dokument Reduction, Dokument Presentation, and Conclusion Withdrawal and Dokument a Verification. From the analysis conducted, the researcher concludes that: Implementation of moral education through exemplary responsible of branch at class one of them that is by designing a good environment, some supporting factors and obstacles in the implementation of moral education through exemplary board members class 1, the presence of responsible of branch members in various activities in the cottage.

Abstract

In the teaching and learning process, teachers have an important position and determinator whether or not the learning process success. The choice of appropriate learning method also need to be noticed by the teachers. Giving something new in the learning model will improve students’ spirit and achievement. One of the learning method is by implement the cooperative method which consists of  various learning methods with group system. Then, the small groups are able to build students’ togetherness and resposibility between them. The implementation of the method is this research was done in two steps and it is usually called as cycle. Every cycle consist of four steps; (1) planning, (2) acting, (3) observing, (4) reflecting. The result of the research showed that there is an improvement in students’ achievement toward Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam subject using jigsaw method. It is indicated that the implementation of jigsaw learning for Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam subject of grade V MTsn is effective in improving students’ achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is: (1) to know education ukhuwah islamiyah applied on children scouting activities in a Modern Islamic boarding school Darussalam Gontor  two for girls Mantingan Ngawi Java Indonesia the years 2017-2018. (2) to know the application of educational Activities in Scouting Ukhuwah Islamiyah in Modern Islamic boarding school Darussalam Gontor two for girls Mantingan Ngawi Java Indonesia the years 2017-2018. d. research is the research field (field Research). As for the type of field research is Qualitative Research. To get the necessary data, the researchers used a method of observation, interview and documentation, so getting a clear description about the implementation of educational activities in Scouting ukhuwah islamiyah. school year to analyze the data, researchers using data analysis Miles and Huberman that includes three research measures namely: data collection, display or study of the data and the conclusion or verification. The results of the research done indicates that: (1) education ukhuwah islamiyah in scouting activities in a Modern Cottage Darussalam Gontor two for girls, the activity of bodyguard or escort continued support to members to obtain values education ukhuwah islamiyah in activities Scouting. (2) implementation of educational activities in Scouting ukhuwah islamiyah in Modern Cottages Darussalam Gontor two for girls is implemented through: a) inculcation of values education ukhuwah islamiyah activities in Scouting by the Builder to the Member directly. b implementation of the ukhuwah islamiyah education) by using method example (qudwah hasanah). c) implementation education ukhuwah islamiyah through scouting activities in a member of liveliness.

Abstract

This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR).  The model of Classroom Action Research chosen by the researcher is spiral model from Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The research was done in some cycles and in every cycle consist of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Reward and punishment model can improve students’ learning achievement in Hadits subject for grade 2. This statement proved with the very good test result with the average passing socre 0.9% or 88%. Students study more dilligent, it is proved by students’ attitude toward the teacher while explaining the material. The students listening, pay attention, understand, memorize, and implement the materials that they learned.

Abstract

Behold the man will be honored with a value of religious in character. The main purpose of Islamic education is to produce a good man, in achieving the objectives of such required processes and efficient methods in order that these objectives can be achieved to the maximum as desired. This research includes qualitative research (field) a descriptive qualitative. As for the data source of the principal, vice principal, teacher's education and teacher of curriculum part of Islam. To collect the data, researchers using three methods, namely: the method of interview and methods of observation and methods in analyzing its pegs, documentary data, researchers using theory, Miles and Huberman that includes three steps, namely: the collection data, data presentation, data reduction, and conclusion. The results of this research indicate that: the purpose of the implementation of religious values in class 2 MAN 1 make a Godly character of students, the value of a good religious in theory and practice in all student life and methods used religious value transformation There are two methods, namely: in the classroom includes faqs and discussion as for outside classes include education giving Education conditioning, educational advice and punishment.

Abstract

Some  factors that affect learning process it is able to give positive support for the learning itself, but it also able to inhibit the learning process. The obstacles may affect people’s learning result and then they experience the learning process that not appropriate with what they want. These conditions impact to problem appaearance in the next learning process. Low students learning motivation will be an important obstacle in the learning process, because it can caused low students learning achievement. Thus, teachers are expected to improve students learning motivation to improve students learning achievement. This research is Classroom Action Research  (CAR) which aim to give information about how the proper action to improve students learning reslt for Tarikh Islam subject in the learning process through mind mapping method. The result of this research showed that learning method and learning media that used by the teachers are very important to improve students’ understanding and it impact to students learning improvement in the certain subject. It can be seen from the research result that was done to the students grade 3B in Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor for Tarikh Islam subject, the use of mind mapping method for this subject improve students learning result 28%.

Abstract

Islamic education directing human behavior and work in accordance with the laws of God, Gontor For Girls Campus 3 is the institution which forms his or her students in order to cling to God and Islam good character with a strong discipline, when the students adhere to the discipline is there then indirectly will shape the character of the students, but if the home State does not support, then it will affect all on the character of the students class 4. The purpose in writing is to know the State of the family environment as well as the character of the students class 4 and or no influence between them. The method of this research is the Research field with the type of Quantitative Associative Causal analysis techniques, and use Product moment. Final results of the research indicate: (1) The State of the family environment of the student class 4 achieved an average of 69.8 with high quality, (2) The character of the students class 4 any good by reaching an average of 64.6 with high quality, (3) Presence of influence from family environment against the character of the students Class 4, with outcomes percentage rxy 0.427 by looking at the average value on the "r" product moment that there are influences that being between 0,400-0,700. Then the Researchers write that the influential family environment with influences that are against the character of the Students class 4 of ITTC at Gontor for Girls Campus 3 on academic year: 2017-2018 M.

Abstract

This paper aims to understand the the quality improvement of Madrasah as one of the Islamic education institutions of Indonesia, through the construction of strategic plan (renstra) for the development of Islamic education. Madrasah quality must be well managed so that it can realize the goals and noble values of Islamic education. Its missions are actually heavier than public schools because of the broader range of functions and tasks. Its goal as Islamic education institutions includes spiritual competence, religious character, in addition to social, personal, academic and vocational competencies. This paper finds out that managerial stages to improve the quality of madrasah are: inventory of main activities; strategy formulation; action plan and scheme of procedure for developing quality learning. According to the experience of KMI Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor in the construction of the Science and Technology development strategic plan, it involves some actions, such as: To formulate a strategy; describe real challenges; goal achievement strategy; target and size for each strategy; SWOT analysis; alternative steps for solving; action plan and implementation program; and schedule of activities. The strategic objectives, including the following: curriculum and learning process; madrasah leadership and management; organization and institutions; workforce; financing and funding; learners; the role of the community; madrasah environment and culture.
