Abstract

The development of Information Technology is increasingly demanding that Higher Education to provide information quickly to meet the needs of Information and Monitoring Course for Lecturers, Students and Admin staff. This study aims to design a Model Information System and Monitoring Course at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Semarang Web-based. Coverage includes lecture planning, lecturing, evaluation of lecturing, control of lecturing and improvement of lecture planning. This research produces an application of Information System and Monitoring model of lecturing which aims to facilitate and accelerate the preparation of time, room and course schedule and ease in monitoring the attendance status of lecturers in class either to students or other parties in real time without having to come to campus check board information . The contribution of this research results will greatly affect the application of science and technology for higher education institutions and to realize the development of Faculty of Engineering Semarang University as a leading Faculty in 2023. The method used is dynamic priorities method which prioritizes the process that has the highest priority and is able to respond to changes in the system environment operate. Modeling the system using XAMPP package in which integrated MySQL module for database purposes, PHP for management of information systems, and Apache for simulation purposes. The results showed the implementation of the application of Information Systems Monitoring System Lectures Faculty of Engineering, University of Semarang goes well.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design and implementation Maximum Solar Power Tracking system using photovoltaic panel, in order to increase solar panel efficiency and power. Data collection is done for the condition in Semarang city. The result of the research is expected to be base in planning of solar power system in Semarang city, whether it is for lighting lamp planning and for Solar Home System (SHS). This MPPT system design uses standard 180 degree servo motor to drive photovoltaic panel and control circuit using ATmega IC, while simulation using MATLAB program. Tracking is done by online tracking method by moving the photovoltaic panel to the radiation of the sun. Tracking simulation is done with step 20, 50 and 180 step. The average of voltage generated by system without tracking is 3.97 Volt while the average voltage generated by tracking system is 4.72 Volt. Efficiency between system without tracking and tracking system is 66.28% for tracking system and 78.78% for tracking system

Abstract

 Nowadays medical science has developed rapidly, diagnostic and treatment techniques have provided life expectancy for patients. One way of examining brain tumor sufferers is radiological examination that needs to be done, including MRI with contrast. MRI brain images are useful for seeing tumors in the initial steps of diagnosis and are very good for classification, erosions / destruction lesions of the skull. Smoothing image processing, segmentation with otsu method and feature extraction are carried out to facilitate the training and testing process. This study, will apply texture analysis with the parameters contrast, correlation, energy, homogenity to distinguish the texture of brain tumor images and normal so as to produce a standard gold value based on existing texture characteristics. Training and testing of texture features using backpropagation method of artificial neural networks with variations in learning rate values so that it is expected to obtain a classification of the image conditions of patients with brain tumors. The data used are 29 brain images that produce classification accuracy of 96.55%.Keywords :  MRI images, brain tumors, textur, backprogation

Abstract

 Image processing is important in a process of introduction, classification or segmentation or other processes. One thing that can be done is an analysis of the texture features related to old photos in this case grayscale photos. The object of the research can be an old photo (image) and use a statistical method based on Gray Level Counseling Matrix (GLCM). GLCM is one of the methods used for extracting texture features, some of which are analyzed using glcm by comparing the GLCM texture feature in the old photo with the original photo The coloring process is to provide more visualization of an object, it can be a monochrome image or video with the aim of providing details and clarity of the colored image or video. The study discusses grayscale images to be colored, then searches for GLCM texture feature values. The size of the features obtained from the calculation is used to find out how much the error value indirectly shows how much the image is similar. The measurement of the success of the small scale using the method of Mean Square Error (MSE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE).Keyword: Texture, Glcm, MAE, MSE

Abstract

The car continues to develop the technology for the sake of convenience for the user to get a car. Currently the cars already provide many services, including : features - features, the fuelefficient, environmentally friendly, and safety while driving. But comfort when driving on the road is still not perceived as bottlenecks that often occur. Cars are often stuck in traffic will experience a diecasting machine, because the machine lights up constantly - constantly in a state of standstill. Researchers of this problem offers solutions in the field of transport. Researchers create “Design of Aero Anti-Gravity Car Microcontroller-based dsPIC30F”. It was inspired from a means of transportation that can resist the force of gravity, among others : airplanes, helicopters, jets and rockets. Abstract

Pekerjaan perawatan dan pemeliharaan mesin merupakan salah satu prioritas utama dalam menjamin kehandalan operasional mesin yang harus terkontrol dan termonitor. Monitoring perawatan dan pemeliharaan mesin central utility di PT. Phapros Tbk, dilakukan secara manual. Pelaksanaan pekerjaan seringkali tidak sesuai dengan jadwal yang telah ditentukan. Administrasi pekerjaan belum berjalan dengan baik.Salah satu sistem yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu pekerjaan perawatan dan pemeliharaan mesin central utility di PT. Phapros, Tbk adalah aplikasi monitoring smartphone berbasis android. Aplikasi ini menampilkan informasi spesifikasi dan fungsi tentang mesin - mesin central utility, jadwal pekerjaan, informasi personil teknisi dilengkapi dengan speedcall untuk menghubungi teknisi secara langsung, catatan pekerjaan serta record data maintenance. Pembuatan aplikasi monitoring perawatan dan pemeliharaan mesin central utility di PT. Phapros Tbkini menggunakan software berbasis Java dan XML. Pengembangan aplikasi Android menggunakan IDE (Integrated Development Environment) Eclipse Kepler sebagai emulatornya. Catatan pekerjaan dan record data maintenace tersimpan dalam memori internal dan dapat ditampilkan dalam Personal Computer.Administrasi hasil pekerjaan dapat terdata dengan baik. Serta dapat memberikan informasi berkaitan dengan mesin, teknisi, dan catatan pekerjaan perawatan dan pemeliharaan mesin central utility di PT. Phapros, Tbk. Abstract

Optimal teaching or learning activities require a conducive and quiet environment because the high concentration required on its’ process. Campus area requires a quiet and silent environment. It is difficult for the urban areas to get a quiet campus environment. The study tries to reveal the evaluation on how the noise factors that occur during teaching and learning process. The study was conducted at Semarang University. The research method used is descriptive analytic method. Research shows that the building of engineering faculty (the A building) at Semarang University shows the proper noise level in line with the standard (School Acoustic Quality Standards). Besides, Semarang University must establish rules and policies to control the noise levels, to intensify the comfort of the lecture process. Based on the research results, the noise level on the Engineering faculty building of Semarang University has not been in line with the predetermined standard, which is more than (55 dB).Keywords: noise, lecture activities, acoustic quality standards of school buildings

Abstract

Design of Smart Home Automatic Control with Communications Via Bluetooth HC-05-Based Microcontroller Arduino and Android, will provide all the comfort, safety, security and energy savings, which takes place automatically and programmed via microcontroller, the house or building. Design of Smart Home Automatic with Control Communications Via Bluetooth HC-05-Based Microcontroller Arduino and Android is intended for automatic control processes. The system consists of seven sensors, keypad password for security doors, HC-05 Bluetooth GSM alarm application and device control applications aktuaktor, and aktuaktor buzzer, dc motors, lights, fans and fan dc exhausting. Among these sensors is a PIR sensor to detect theft, sensor MQ6 to detect leakage of LPG gas and smoke from fires, sensor HC-SR04 ultrasonic for automatic garage doors, fire sensors to detect a fire, the sensor LM35 to detect the temperature of the room, when the room temperature is hot the fan will be on automatically, when the cold room temperature will shut off the fan and LDR sensor to detect the intensity of light during the day which turn the lights off automatically and vice versa, thus saving energy. Homeowners can also control lights and monitoring sensors with android phones that are connected with communication via Bluetooth HC-05 microcontroller arduino, and can receive GSM alarm application sensors such as calling and sms. Test results are used UART communication data transmission between the microcontroller serial monitor monitor has an error of 0 % . HC - 05 Bluetooth can accept orders at the farthest distance of 11 meters . The fire sensor can work well when the fire was 110 cm . Sensor HC - SR04 is already working with an error rate of 0.3 %, so the accuracy of this tool by 100 % - 0.3 % = 99.7 % .Keywords : Security Door , Bluetooth HC - 05 , Microcontroller Arduino and Android , Application Control and Application GSM alarm.

Abstract

 The right use of rain can provide many benefits. For this reason, mapping of rainfall areas is needed. This is intended to determine the level of disaster preparedness for each region. In mapping, a tool is needed to calculate the rainfall that falls. In the market there are only manual measuring devices, while rainfall gauges are not available which can measure automatically and directly but additional equipment is needed separately. In addition, the measurement results cannot be seen by the public. Therefore we need a tool that works automatically that can display measurement results directly and can be seen directly by the public. Thus the community can see and measure rainfall that falls. In this plan Automatic Rain Recording is used by using a proximity sensor placed on top of a measuring cup and the sensor is connected to the AVR128 Development Board as the control center to convert sensor data into ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) data. This tool is connected with a microSD with a capacity of 8Gbyte to store rainfall level data. AVR128 will store every 2 minutes with a total of 275,368 data and 382 days of storage capability.Keywords : rainfall, ARR, ADC, AVR128, mikroSD

Abstract

Campus is a place which is teaching and learning process occur. One factor that support a good learning environment is to avoid noise problems. The object of the research is the campus of Semarang University located on Jalan Arteri Soekarno-Hatta, it is located on the edge of the Kaligawe-Gayamsari toll road. Both roads includes the most crowded transportation routes in Semarang City.Campus area requires a quiet and silent environment. It is difficult for the urban areas to get a quiet campus environment. The study tries to reveal the evaluation on how the noise factors that occur during teaching and learning process. The study was conducted at Semarang University. The research method used is descriptive analytic method. The research was conducted by measuring the noise level using Sound Level Meter (KRISBOW) type KW08-291, several data collection points was taken at Semarang University, both open and closed environments around campus. The results of noise measurements would be carried out in noise mapping to know the noise distribution map in the campus area. The noise level in the campus is still above 55 dB on average. It shows that the noise level in the environment of Semarang University has not been in line with the predetermined standard that is still greater than (40 - 50 dBA) in accordance to the decree of the State Minister of the Environment number 48 of 1996.Keywords: noise, sound level meter, noise threshold value, decree of the State Minister of the Environment number 48 of 1996
