Abstract

Landsat 8 satellite provides information (image / picture / photo map) operating free which can be downloaded from the official website. Lyzenga analysis is used to correction of water column so that the appearance of the object in satellite sensors for the better. The study was conducted during the month of August 2016 using the method with Lyzenga, proofreading imagery, as well as classification. The purpose of this research is to know the distribution of sea grass in coastal areas of the island of Batam using Landsat 8, by looking at the physical parameters of the ocean in-situ temperature and dissolved oxygen (DO). These results indicate the relationship of the distribution of each station has the lowest value that is at Piayu sea, and the highest brightness values are in the area of Nongsa sea, dissolved oxygen (DO) is highest in the area Piayu sea and the highest temperature in the area Sekupang sea with a value of 80 mg/l and 36.50 C. His cause is not found in mono-specific sea grass life and the area, and there are no real ecological disturbances, such as the characteristics of the habitat, community structure, and the threat of sea grass distribution plan participate discussed.

Abstract

Sempu Island is a nature reserve that has fringing reef with percentage of living coral cover almost constant 37% from 2009 to 2016. Coral massive Porites lutea in this area has a growth rate about 1.09 cm/yr. in average and almost similar with others. Coral massive growth rate can be monitor through their skeletal annual banding. They have two type annual banding, low density for slow growth coral skeletal and high density for fast growth rate of coral skeletal. In this banding coral can record any environmental condition such as sea water temperature, tides and heavy metal. The aim of this research was to know the concentration of copper in Sempu Island Nature Reserve in the past used ICP-OES. The result showed that the Cu concentration in P. lutea skeletal band from 2009-2016 were: 5.213; 6.403; 5.825; 6.511; 6.132; 6.403; 6.467; 6.22 mg/kg. The coral skeletal can absorb the pollutant for hundred years, and it will give important information for palaeo environment that can used for climate modelling in the future.

Abstract

Aim of the research were to determine the types of environmental damage and factors that causing it  in coastal area of Tanah Laut as well as its impact to economics of fishermen. We used a descriptive method in order to demonstrate the responder perception regarding to the impact of coastal degradation quality. The resident household in Tabanio, Takisung and Kuala Tambangan Village were chosen as the respondents using random sampling approach using Participatory Rural Appraisal and in depth study. To identify type damage of coastal area resources we conducted the field study activity using ball snow method following by further analysis i.e. muster data of factual / primary to analysis comprehensively. Result of the research showed the exploitation of mangrove forest by community for firewood and build a residential, dash against seaboard by waving high, tide of sea water, stricture of river estuary and contamination of territorial water of sea were the main factors of environmental degradation. We noted that the impact of such coastal degradation to societal economic were lowering of society income, changing of work type of living and changing of ownership of farm.

Abstract

Pantai Batu Lima is located in the village of Tanah Laut Kuala Tambangan. This beach has natural beauty in addition there is also a cultural element to be preserved, but the public interest is still low for a visit to Batu Lima, to further develop the need for management strategies Pantai Batu Lima. The purpose of this study to identify the potential for coastal tourism Pantai Batu Lima and its development strategy. The analysis used in this research is SWOT analysis.  Results of this study showed potential of the coastal resources i.e. sloping beach, culture badudus bathing on the beach, lodging facilities, playground and seating on the beach.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas lingkungan perairan Teluk Tanjungpinang Provinsi Kepulauan Riau berdasarkan parameter fisika kimia perairan. Penentuan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling di muara sungai dan di perairan pesisir dilakukan sebanyak 3 (tiga) kali ulangan dengan interval waktu satu bulan. Pengambilan sampel air dilakukan pada kedalaman 0 m dan 5 m dan dilakukan secara komposit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kualitas perairan teluk Tanjungpinang berdasarkan Kualitas lingkungan perairan teluk Tanjungpinang berdasarkan parameter fisika perairan untuk parameter suhu dan tingkat kecerahan perairan secara umum dapat dikategorikan baik, sedangkan parameter TSS menunjukkan nilaki kandungan yang melebihi nilai baku mutu air laut yang ditetapkan oleh pemerintah. Kualitas lingkungan perairan berdasarkan parameter kimia diketahui bahwa parameter pH, Salinitas, DO, BOD5 dan COD masih berada di bawah nilai ambang batas baku mutu lingkungan, Sedangkan parameter Nitrat (NO3), Nitrit (NO2), Amonium (NH4) dan Ortofosfat (PO4-P) menunjukkan nilai yang sudah diatas baku mutu lingkungan perairan yang ditetapkan

Abstract

Informasi suhu permukaan laut (SPL) dalam bidang perikanan memiliki peran yang sangat penting. Data SPL ECMWF sangat baik untuk melihat perubahan SPL secara berkala. Selain berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas metabolisme dan perkembangan suatu organisme suhu permukaan laut (SPL) merupakan faktor penting yang mempengaruhi dinamika iklim global. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan memetakan sebaran suhu permukaan laut di perairan Pulau Bintan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan analisis suhu permukaan laut secara temporal berdasarkan fluktuasi SPL bulanan dan musiman dalam bentuk grafik deret waktu, dan analisis spasial berdasarkan visualisasi  peta sebaran rata-rata SPL musiman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa variasi temporal SPL  tahun 2015-2016 di perairan Pulau Bintan cenderung mengalami peningkatan. Variabilitas nilai SPL di perairan Pulau Bintan dipengaruhi oleh musim, SPL pada musim timur dan musim peralihan barat-timur cenderung lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan SPL pada musim barat dan musim peralihan timur-barat. Sebaran spasial SPL di perairan dekat pesisir cenderung lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan SPL di perairan jauh pesisir atau lepas pantai. Secara spasial, perairan dekat pesisir memiliki suhu yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perairan lepas pantai. Suhu permukaan laut di perairan Pulau Bintan juga cenderung mengalami fluktuasi berdasarkan musim. Pada musim peralihan barat-timur dan musim peralihan timur rata-rata suhu permukaan laut cenderung lebih tinggi dan sebaliknya pada musim barat dan musim peralihan timur-Barat rata-rata suhu permukaan laut cenderung mengalami penurunan.
