Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the alphabet media “ SENYAWA “ to the improvement of writingskills continued straight grade II SD N Karangmulyo , Kab . Purworejo. This study approach used true experimentalresearch. Pretest posttest control group used as research design. Treatment arrange on 8 meetings , each meeting consist of thealphabet using the media “ SENYAWA “. The subjects of this study were 30 students who were divided into 2 groups: theexperimental group and the control group.The data collection technique used writing skills observation. Data were analyzed using T test. The study results showed thatthe media alphabet “ SENYAWA” had positive effect on students’ writing skills upright continued . Based on the test resultstwo groups conducted by the authors, obtained t < t table is -5.435 < 2.0484 and the average value of the experimentalgroup in the amount of 8.46 with a percentage of 39.2 % . These results indicate that the writing skills upright concatenatedexperimental group is higher than the control group

Abstract

Abstract

The background of the problem in conducting this research is the awareness of contextual approach need to learning based on the fact that most learners are not able to connect the social studies material and the use of it in real life. The purpose of this research is to develop the design of teaching and learning administrations with a contextual approach to social studies aided by mind mapping that fulfills the valid criteria according to the experts, effective and practical of the use. The research method used in this research is research and development, with reference to the model of Plomp including 1)Preliminary Investigation, 2)Design, 3)Realization/Construction, and  4)Test, Evaluation, and Revision. This research is products such as teacher book and students book. The result of this research is: 1)The learning model is designed based on the color and images in the mind map that has its own meaning and closely related to the environment. 2)Social studies with contextual approach assisted map mind is valid with an average of 3.18 validation very good category. 3)Social Studies with contextual approach assisted map mind is effective with an average of 83 leaderboards learning in line with the classical > leaderboard KKM 75. This means that 18 students (78%) meet the value of KKM and 5 students (21%). 4)Social studies with contextual approach assisted map mind is practical with response percentage gain teachers 77,08% and the response of the students 77,22% with a good category. The implementation of this learning, students can instill a caring attitude to the environment.

Abstract

International school (SBI) or internationally Standardized School (ISS), is one of the primary and secondary education innovation in Indonesia, the main pillars for improving the quality, relevance, and competitiveness. Stages that must pass to become SBI is RSBI, SSN or SKM. That is to go to the SBI, the schools are required to pass through the stage into SSN (National Standard School) for elementary and junior high, or SKM (Independent School Category) for high school and vocational school, and then increased to RSBI (international school stubs), and new to the SBI (international school). SBI is basically a SSN plus. SSN is said because the school is still referring to the national standard schools by meeting the eight national education standards (SNP), but should have a plus or international advantages. Since the SBI in addition to using the Indonesian language as the national language and the language of instruction in schools, SBI also require English as the language of instruction in certain subjects, the SBI is also often called the Bilingual Schools Boarding School.Other things that must be met including the use of an international curriculum, international competency, qualification of teachers and international level, mastery of English for students, educators and educational staff at a certain level Toefl, culture and the use of IT (Information Technology ), the development of teaching strategies, use of means of international education, exchange of students with SBI in a foreign country OECD members, management, financing, valuation, and international accreditation. Short said the SBI should qualify the achievement of key employment indicators of a minimum of 8 SNPs, and the achievement of key performance indikatpor additional international standard ISO9000 ISO14000 accredited according to the OECD or other developed countries in education.

Abstract

Pancasila ideology of openness at the level of instrumental value does not mean that we also open ourselves to wawasanan ideology of communism. But instead requires you to be aware of our vulnerability, so that both consciously and unconsciously not to use the insights of doctrine, policy and strategy that is Marxism Leninism / Communism. Salain a feature of this ideology is the permanent contradiction minded about, about not being able to didamaikannya conflict that existed until one of the parties to the contrary completely destroyed. Abstract

Textbook as a material for the school subject within the levels of primary and secondary education. Textbook as a school’s teaching material has a vital role in forming students’ character.  This is in line with the current situation, where teaching material is needed to be investigated in terms of content, especially the content of the nationalism values.  This study aims to explain the content of the nationalism character values within a Textbook on the school subject of Indonesian Language for the primary school level.  The method used in this study is literature review and content analysis.  Literature review is done to acquire the appropriate book through the detailed and accurate searching all of the textbook.  Meanwhile, the content analysis is performed through analyzing the content of nationalism character value in the textbook for the school subject of Indonesian Language, which covers the following: (1) religiosity; (2) honesty; (3) tolerance; (4) discipline; (5) hard-work; (6) creativity; (7) self-reliance; (8) democracy; (9) curiosity;  (10) national spirits; (11) nationalism; (12) respect toward achievement; (13) friendliness/communicative value; (14) peace-loving; (15) literacy – love of reading; (16) caring for the environment; (17) social care; and (18) responsibility.  The result of the content analysis of the Indonesian Language for the textbook for the Primary School level shows that the content for the nationalism character values in the textbook has not been fully and proportionally covered.  Besides, the content is still dominated by the aspect of knowledge and has not emphasized on the comprehension, values internationalization, and its implementation.

Abstract

Language is a communication tool to convey and receive messages from individual or group to another person or group of persons. Language acquisition is essentially influenced by factors within individuals and individuals outside. To optimize the development of early childhood language need for stimulation from the environment and not just rely on the existence of internal factors of children. Educators, including parents and teachers must master aspects of the development and characteristics of children so that the stimulation that will produce optimal results.

Abstract

There are three main approaches in early childhood, which is known by the acronym 3 B is playing, singing and storytelling. Telling stories or storytelling, an activity that anticipated and favored by younger children. Not only please the child, but also there are millions of miracles contained in them. Ironically, in some families, this activity is still less with the culture of watching television. Given the story or the storytelling is a miracle, then there is no other way, the family moved to Indonesia must get used to read a story and storytelling for her baby. Deep in their hearts, they whisper.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the culture of student’s discipline and ethics at the Muhammadiyah 1 Alternatif elementaryschool in Magelang.Research design use qualitative descriptive research to interpret an existing data and describing by sentence that finally we can conclude. The analysis of the data derived from observation, interviews, documentation, then the data is grouped later reunited subsequent theories have to be justified by the research and finally drawn a condusion that can understood. The object of this study include the culture of discipline and ethics of student learning. Culture of discipline and learning ethics were collected by triangulation method. The study subjects consisted of principals, teachers, and students at Muhammadiyah 1 Alternatif Elementary School Magelang City. The student’s discipline and learning ethic can be observe from 14 indicator and 33 item were measure using interviews and observation instrument. Data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative analysis and thematic analysis.The result show that culture has an influence student discipline in supporting student learning ethics. A good student discipline will be a good student learning ethics.
