Abstract

This study aims to improve 3rd grade students’ science learning outcomes bylearning to use visual multimedia. This research method uses classroom actionresearch. The subject of this research was the third grade students of secondsemester of elementary school which conducted 30 students. Based on theresults of research by using visual media, it have been found that theimprovement learning outcome, seen from the initial average score before theaction of 3rd grade class students from 65.5 to 83.83. The results of this studyindicate that with the use of visual media can improve student learningoutcomes.

Abstract

The study aims to enhance students’ learning outcome in science class by implement cooperative learning model with hidden chart media. Method of study is a classroom action research. The subject is a fifth grade, consisting of 25 students; 14 boys and 11 girls. The research instruments are test sheets, teacher and student observation sheets, and documentation files. The results show an improvement over each cycle. Teacher activity in first cycle was 70.83%, and increased to 79.17%. In second cycle was 91.67%, and increased to 95.83. Student activity in first cycle was 62.50%, and enhance to 75%. In cycle II was 83.33%, and enhance to 87.50%. The students average score also shows improvement. The base rate is 59.60; increased to 70.72 at UH I, and increased to 79.04 in UH II. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the implementation cooperative learning model with hidden chart media can enhanceprimary students’ learning outcomes in science.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a substantial skill in elementary school. If childrenhave the skill to read, facing other lesson would be easy. This study employs aquantitative descriptive method that aims at explaining numbers in words. Theresult showed that the average of students reading skill after being exposed tographic organizer-based reading comprehension teaching materials indetermining the basic thoughts was of 63.75, and students skill in explaininginformation was 71.04. At this stage, their skill was considered good enough, sothat an improvement to design teaching materials and trainings should befacilitated for the teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide an alternative for teachers in preparing teaching materials adapted to track students mathematics learning in the classroom. This study is a qualitative research with case study method with data collection is a triangulation technique that focuses on 13 people of 5th grade elementary school teacher. The results showed that Hyphotetical Learning Trajectory greatly assist teachers in planning their mathematics teachings, especially in developing teaching materials in a coherent, logical, contextual, and cutting-edge, so that the learning is given to more effectively and efficiently. It was also revealed that the practice of teaching mathematics teacher in the classroom along with lesson plans they have prepared beforehand. Based on the implementation of Hyphotetical Learning Trajectory on mathematics teachers, it can be concluded that the knowledge and skills of teachers in teaching mathematics were well developed; the materials presented are in-depth; it can identify students’ learning; it can anticipate the strategy, representation, and misconceptions of students, so that it can provide an inclusive appropriate the learning needs of their students.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate effect of quantum teaching learning model toenhance students’ conceptual understanding on characteristic material concept.This study method was experiment with quasy experiment. Subject this researchwas fifth grade elementary school. Result of this study found significant score0,000 < 0,05. It is mean that hypothesis of research was accepted. It can beconcluded Quantum Teaching learning model can improve students’ conceptualunderstanding.

Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in student learning outcomes learned through cooperative learning model type of talking stick with students who are taught conventional learning model. This research uses quasi experimental method with nonequivalent control group design. This research was conducted at 62 students in third class elementary school. The result of the research is before implemntation cooperative type learning model talking stick type in the experimental class and conventional model learning in the control class is obtained tcount<ttabel that is -0.430 <2.000 which means there is no significant difference civic education learning outcome. In the experimental class and control class after treatment obtained tcount<ttabel is 0.676 <2.000 which also means there is no difference civic education learning outcome. Thus, it can be conclude that cooperative learning model with talking stick can enhance elementary students’ achivement in civic education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is mainly to describe the performance of primary school teachersin the unit of education technical implementation in Banyumanik, Semarang. This researchwas conducted in January- August 2017. The sample of this research is 162 primaryschool teachers selected by random sampling technique in order to get the same opportunityas sample. The instruments used in this study were the assessment sheets, the RatingSheet consisted of 64 items of question, and 3 indicators of Primary School TeacherPerformance. The results show that each of Implementation of lesson plans is categorizedvery well (90, 9%), the execution of the learning is 83.4%, assessment of learning is good(82.8%). The Overall performance of primary school teachers is categorized good( 85 , 7 % ). In other words, the primary school teachers of the unit of education technicalimplementation in Banyumanik Semarang can arrange the lesson plans, carry out learningand teaching process and assess the learning process in elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to implementation jarimatika method to promote students’mathematics leraning outcome for elementary school. This study was conductedin class third elementary schools. Design of this research was classroom actionresearch. Based on the results of mathematics learning students obtained data onthe initial score taken from the scores of the first semester Mathematics examstudents before the application of the Jarimatikaini method was 59.62 then thecycle I daily test increased by 13.63 to 73.42 with an increase percentage of22.80%. It can be concluded that the application of the Jarimatika method canimprove the results of third grade elementary school mathematics learning.

Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia is one of the compulsory subjects taught in elementary school and important to be mastered because it aims for every student to communicate effectively and efficiently, both orally and in writing in accordance with the Indonesian rules is good and true. This study aims to investigeenhanging of 3rd grade primary students’ writing skill after implementation think talk write learning model in Bahasa Indonesia class. Research method in this study is experiment method. The research design used in this research is one-group pretest-posttest design, experimental research conducted in one group only without comparison group and the population subjects in this study were 35 students of 3rd grade elementary school in Pekanbaru. The result of this study is data of pretest and posttest, on the average pretest score of 60.94 with the category of skilled enough then on posttest increased to 75.67 with skilled category. Thus, it can be concluded that the think talk write learning model can influence the narrative writing skill of 3rd grade elementary school in Pekanbaru.

Abstract

The literacy skills of elementary school students in Indonesia, according tointernational instructional survey data such as PISA and PIRLS are generally atlow ability level. Starting from this condition, the government then launched theSchool Literacy Program (SLP) which is in sync with the implementation ofCurriculum 2013. This study aims to analyze and calculate the difference ofliteracy ability and students’ fourth graders critical thinking in schools thatorganize SLP in three areas of the village, transitions, and cities located inSukabumi Indonesia. The results showed that the students fourth-grade literacyability at the SLP organizing school was at a low level of 66.89, the middle level55, the high level 54.67, and the advanced level of 55.89. The students criticalthinking ability is at a low level of 82.94, 55.33 and 55.67. Based on the resultsof this study, it can be concluded that fourth graders students’ literacy ability atschool organizer SLP in Sukabumi is at low level / factual literal. While fourthgraders students’ critical thinking was able to reach low levels.
