Abstract

This research is a development research using a modification between the 4-D development model developed by Thiagarajan. The stages of this research are define, design, develop and disseminate . The development of problem-based mathematical modules at the disseminate (dissemination) was   carried out in a limited manner in schools that are the subject of research.   The   subjects   in   this   study   were   class   X   students   of   SMA   Negeri   4Padangsidimpuan. From the results of the development test: (1) problem-based mathematics modules fulfiill validity criteria with valid predicates, (2) the problem-based mathematics modules was practical based on revised and interview results from the expert teams, and (3) this  problem-based  mathematics modules was effective to used based on observations the time ideal of percentage achievemen , the results of the mathematical problem solving ability test fulfill classical completeness, that was 80% of the test subjects, and (4) the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving skills by using the module from test I to trial II and fulfill the classical completeness. Keywords:  Development,  Problem  Based  Mathematics  Module,  Mathematical  ProblemSolving Ability

Abstract

Entomopathogenic fungi often used as bioinsecticides to control pest insects. Entomopathogenic fungi infect through penetrating cuticles of insect or inedible. Entomopathogenic fungi can be found in the rhizosphere. The purpose of this study was to explore the types of entomopathogenic fungi in various rhizosphere of horticultural plants in Padangsidimpuan. This research was conducted at the Agrotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, South Tapanuli Muhammadiyah University. The results showed that the use of Tenebrio molitor as bait, can effectively obtain entomopathogenic fungi from the soil. The highest mortality of Tenebrio molitor where infected by entomopathogenic fungi was 64% on soybean plant and the lowest mortality due to infection of entomopathogenic fungi was 11% on mustard plants. There was only one genus of entomopathogenic fungi found in this study was Metarhizium sp. Keywords: soil, Metarhizium, Tenebrio molitor, infect, moist chamber

Abstract

This type of research is Research Action class (Classroom action Research). While  the techniques and data collection tool that is the test, and observations. Mathematical literacy ability test percentage of students on a cycle I was 63% to 82% in cycle II. With the amount of the percentage increase in the students' mathematical literacy ability tests of 19%, activity levels of students learning math increases, it is retrieved from the percentage of 63% levels of math learning activities cycle I, and 82% in cycle II rose to 19% and the ability to manage teacher learning percentage of 74% in cycle I and 94% in cycle II, with an increase of 20%, and the results of this study showed that the model of learning Problem Centered Learning (PCL) can improve mathematical literacy ability of the students in class X IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 West Angkola. Keywords: Problem Centered Learning (PCL) learning model, literacy

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the practical implementation of the morphology of the plant biology education students FKIP UMS 2017/2018 school year. This research is descriptive research with the research sample is a student semester 1 Biology education UMS, which travels the eyes of practical morphology of plants taken with Taro Yamane formula to get the number of samples in overall by as much as 81 students. Data collection techniques by using question form. The results of the analysis of the data shows that in practical plant morphology, 91% of students familiar with plants/preparations are used, 53% of the students stated the time used in practical enough to complete the practical work, and from the a series of practical work each meeting there is a 65% of students who have difficulty in observing and drawing plant organs into practical report. Key words: analysis, practical plant morphology

Abstract

Survival  analysis  is  a  statistical  technique  used  to  analyze  the  data,  aims  to determine the variables that affect the outcome of a beginning to end the incident. Abstract

The research is the research action class. The model used is a model of problem based learning. As for the data collection technique used is the test, observation, interview and question form and data gathering tool used is the test sheet, sheets of observation, the now closed and the format of the interview. The data will be analyzed with descriptive analysis method i.e., first make a list of the frequency of the first. Abstract

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan yang ada dalam daun pacar (Lawsonia inermis L.), mengetahui alasan daun pacar (Lawsonia inermis L.) dapat mengobati jamur pada kuku, mengetahui proses pembuatan senyawa antifungi yang dapat menyembuhkan jamur pada kuku. Metode yang akan dipakai adalah metode eksperimen untuk mengetahui kemampuan daun pacar (Lawsonia inermis L.) sebagai anti jamur pada kuku. Pengukuran dilakukan satu kali dalam waktu yang bersamaan. Rencana kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan adalah pembuatan ekstrak daun pacar (Lawsonia inermis L.), uji kandungan kimia ekstrak daun pacar (Lawsonia inermis L.), pembuatan media jamur yaitu media PDA, pembuatan suspensi jamur dari kuku, uji aktivitas jamur pada kuku, analisis data aktivitas jamur pada kuku. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi dosis ekstrak daun pacar maka semakin tinggi juga aktivitasnya terhadap biakan jamur kuku pada penelitian ini. Dosis ekstrak daun pacar yang tertinggi adalah 7,5 g, dimana ditandai dengan rata-rata diameter zona hambatnya adalah 2,14 cm dan rata-rata luas zona jernihnya adalah 1,14 ± 0,22 cm2. Secara statistik menunjukkan hasil yang tidak berbeda nyata pada hubungan dosis ekstrak daun pacar dan rata-rata luas zona jernih (0,001 < P < 0,05), dengan Mean Square yaitu 0,048. Kata Kunci: Daun pacar, Lawsonia inermis L., Jamur kuku, Ekstrak Etanol

Abstract

Abstract:  This  action  research  aims to  describe  the understanding  of  students'  science concepts and describe the teacher's ability to manage learning on the actual problems of learning  in  the  classroom  by  applying  problem-based  learning  models.  The  research subjects  were  students  of  class  VII-4  totaling  44  people  and  1  science  teacher.  This classroom action research is carried out in two cycles, each of which consists of the stages of planning, implementing actions, observation, and reflection. The results showed that the ability of students to understand the concept in the first cycle was 59.09%, and in the second cycle there was an increase with a percentage of 86.36%. While the ability of teachers in the first cycle the average score of 3.1 and in the second cycle there was an improvement in learning practices so that an increase in the average score (3.8). Keywods: concept understanding, management of learning, problem based learning

Abstract

This study  aims to discussed  about Dual Reciprocity Boundary Element Method (DRBEM) with a predictor-corrector for steady infiltration problems with impermeabel layer with root water uptake in homogeneous soils. Steady infiltration in homogeneous soils is governed by Richard equation. This equation is transformed using a set of transformation including Khirchoff, dimensionless variabels and dimensionless parameters into a type of modified Helmholtz equation. Furthermore with DRBEM, numerical solution of modified Helmholtz equation obtained. Abstract

The giving of food can affect the quality of forage production in cattle ruminasia. Forage feed improvement through a process of fermentation on elephant grass generally improves the quality of fodder production generates high basalt, the value of nutrition, and the quality of the meat on the ruminant livestock. Utilization of compost waste that comes from the skin of the fruit of the areca palm (Arenga pinnata) is a versatile plant. It is used in the food industry produces waste fruit skins that can be used as a biomass plant. The existence of the HMT (Forage Forage) as fresh forage preservation called silage is expected to be one of the solutions to overcome the problem of shortage of fresh forage during the difficulties of feeding, besides making silage intended to maintain the quality or even the enhance the quality of the HMT. Fermentation feed full/complete feed (CF)-based forage feed as fodder of ruminants can be applied, either in the household or industrial scale. Full feed technology may be the solution over the question of the quality of the feed and the feed stock. Nutritional value can be set by specifying the number and type of livestock do not mix, the opportunity to choose a feed so that minimize waste feed is not edible, practical, and can be stored for a long time.
