Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the relationship between self regulated learning and student academic procrastination; (2) the relationship of self efficacy with student academic procrastination; (3) the relationship between self regulated learning and self efficacy with student academic procrastination. The hypothesis proposed is a negative relationship between self regulated learning and self efficacy with student academic procrastination, assuming the higher self regulated learning and self efficacy, the lower the student academic procrastination. Conversely, the lower the self regulated learning and self efficacy, the higher the student's academic procrastination. The number of samples is 61 people. The sampling technique uses saturated sample techniques. The data collection techniq uses questionnaire. The research method used is quantitative methods. The results of the study conclude that: (1) there is a negative relationship between self regulated learning and student academic procrastination; (2) there is a negative relationship between self efficacy and student academic procrastination; (3) there is a negative relationship between self regulated learning and self efficacy with student academic procrastination.

Abstract

This research was conducted to observe the different emotion regulation in adolecences viewed from ages factor at YPI Swasta Amir Hamzah Medan school. Subject of research is primary school students, junior high school students and senior high school students at YPI Swasta Amir Hamzah Medan school which amounted 204 student. In this research technique for collecting samples used methods of proportional stratified random sampling. Methods of data collection using the scale of emotional regulation and identity sheet of respondents. Data analysis was performed with One Way Anova with F=23.212 and 0.000 < 0.05 as a significant coefficient. Based on the results of data analysis, the results obtained that there are differences in emotional regulation in adolescences in terms of ages factor in YPI Swasta Amir Hamzah Medan school. The late adolescence is known to have a good emotional regulation ability because the hypothetical mean (95) < the empirical mean (115.45) far exceeded the SD value (13.362) more than the middle adolescence and early adolescence. The ability of emotional regulation in the middle adolescence have a normal category because the hypothetical mean (95) < the empirical mean (105.29) exceeded the SD value (8.641) than the early adolescence is to have an emotional regulation in the medium category, because the hypothetical mean (95) > the empirical mean (103.59) more than the SD value (9.712).

Abstract

This research was a qualitative research regarding the meaning of life for unmarried woman. There are four components that were explored, the causes and psychological effect they experienced, coping strategy that used and the meaning of life that was owned by those women. The technique for collecting data using interview and observation sheet. The respondents was above 40 years old and unmarried. This research was supported by logotherapy theory of Victor Frankl. The meaning of life for these respondents was a kind of full life experiences that came from their suffering of being not married yet. The result of the this research showed thet the factors affecting both respondents had not get married because they want to be established before get married, dedication to their parents, and having a high standard factors. But for respondent I, study oriented factor and difficulty of married was also of factors. Both respondents enjoyed their unmarried status became they have freedom and autonomy in determining this own decision. But they have negative effect such as difficulty to fulfill their sexual need and difficulty when they got sick wothout any help from other people and feeling uncomfortable because of the norms from their religion and culture which considered unmarried woman as unlucky and incomplete as a woman.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between adversity quotient and work family conflict with job satisfaction. The hypothesis states that there is a relationship between adversity quotient and work family conflict with job satisfaction. This research uses quantitave method, especially the correlational technique. The subjects were 76 married female nurses at RSUD Dr. RM Djoelham Binjai. Total sampling technique was used in this study. The datum collected through Scale of Job Satisfaction, Adversity Response Profile (ARP) and Work Family Conflict Scale. The collected data then analyzed with multiple regression analysis method. The main result of this study showed that there was a significant correlation between adversity quotient and work family conflict with job satisfaction (R = 0,462; p < 0,05). Based on the result, there is a relationship between adversity quotient and work family conflict with job satisfaction. It can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence and relationship between office layout on employee performance at PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk Medan. The population is 20 people and uses saturated samples. Data collection using questionnaire method tested with several methods of data analysis. The results of this study proved by testing the hypothesis that is: Test Validity and Reliability, Test T, Coefficient R and Coefficient R2 and Simple Linear Regression Analysis that indicates that the influence between office layout on employee performance. Based on Simple Linear Regression Analysis obtained equation Y = 16,638 + 0,684X, and if assumed every increase of office layout for unit then will improve employee performance equal to 0,684. Based on the analysis of product moment correlation obtained both variables have a strong relationship. Based on the analysis of determination, between office layout on employee performance of 41.0% means that the office spatial has an influence on the performance of 41.0%, while the remaining is 59.0% explained by other variables not discussed in this study. Based on the T-Test, it is explained that partially, the regression coefficient used is significant. In conclusion, that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, which means there is a strong and significant influence between office layout on employee performance at PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk Medan.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine (1) the effect of organizational culture to intrinsic motivation, (2) the effect of work team to intrinsic motivation, (3) the effect of organizational culture to normative commitment, (4) the effect of work team to normative commitment (5) the effect of intrinsic motivation to normative commitment and (6) the undirect effect who organizational culture and work team to normative commitment weather intrinsic motivation. The result showed that: (1) There is a significant direct possitive of effect between organizational culture and work team, individually to intrinsic motivation with significance level of 0,399 and 0,414. (2) There is a significant direct possitive of effect between organizational culture, work team and intrinsic motivation, individually to normative commitment with significance level of 0,324, 0,181 and 0,169. (3) There is a indirect effect between organizational culture and work team, individually to normative commitment with the significance level of 0,210 and 0,229 weather intrinsic motivation. The study concluded: (1) Organizational culture and work team has a direct effect, individually to intrinsic motivation by 16% and 17%. (2) Organizational culture, work team and intrinsic motivation, individually has a direct effect to normative commitment by 10%, 3,3% and 2,8%. Thus suggested to improve the normative commitment should be increased organizational culture, work team and intrinsic motivation of teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to see the influence of self-development training to member loyalty. Research subjects are 40 members of Formasi Ar-Ruuh UMA. The samples were divided into experimental groups (Trained) and control groups (No training). Using 50 instruments of loyalty as a measuring instrument. Data analysis techniques using Wilcoxon Test, with the following results: 1. There’s influence of training on experimental group, significance coefficient 0.005. p 0.005 <0.05, hypothesis is accepted. 2. There’s no significant increase in the control group. p = 0,513. p 0,513> 0,05, hypothesis is rejected. 3. There’s no significant difference between the two groups, p = 0.225. p 0.225> 0.05, hypothesis is rejected. The experimental group further increased its loyalty score by a pretest average of 125.85, the posttest rising to 130.25. The control group obtained a pretest average of 124.75, the posttest rising to 125.00. Self-development training affects loyalty improvement with pretest empirical mean experimental group 125,85, pretest control group 124,75, posttest experimental group 130,25, posttest control group 125,00. The empirical average value is greater than the hypothetical value (100) and the difference over the SD number is 11.440, 16.227, 5.447, 16.387.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kepercayaan diri siswa yang mengikuti layanan bimbingan kelompok (BKp) melalui teknik latihan asertif dan teknik dis­kusi, perbedaan kepercayaan diri siswa yang memiliki harga diri tinggi dan  yang memiliki harga diri rendah, serta interaksi bimbingan kelompok dan harga diri dalam mempengaruhi kepercayaan diri siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain factorial 2x2. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Takengon sebanyak 58 orang yang terdiri dari dua kelas, 30 orang siswa menjadi kelompok eksperimen diberikan BKp melalui latihan asertif, dan 28 orang sebagai kelompok kontroldiberikan BKp dengan tehnik diskusi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuesioner kepercayaan diri dan harga diri. Data dianalisis menggunakan  ANAVA yang  menunjukkan hasil bahwa, pertama terdapat perbedaan kepercayaan diri siswa yang diberikan layanan bimbingan kelompok menggunakan teknik latihan asertif dan diskusi. kedua, terdapat perbedaan kepercayaan diri siswa yang memiliki harga diri tinggi dan harga diri rendah. Dan ketiga, terdapat interaksi antara bimbingan kelompok dan harga diri dalam mempengaruhi kepercayaan diri siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan kepercayaan diri anak usia 5-6 tahun dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi di PAUD Binika Desa Sukaramai Kab. Langkat. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak usia 5-6 tahun di PAUD Binika Desa Sukaramai Kab. Langkat, yang berjumlah 15 orang anak yang terdiri dari 11 anak perempuan dan 9 anak perempuan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam 2 siklus. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi perkembangan kepercayaan diri  anakdengan indikator sebagai berikut: bersikap tenang, konsep diri, optimis, mampu menyesuaikan diri, kreatif, bersosialisasi. Hasil observasi dan refleksi pada siklus I menunjukkan dari hasil penlitian terdapat anak sebanyak 5 orang anak (25%) bersikap tenang, 7 orang anak (35%) konsep diri, 5 orang anak (25%) optimis8 orang anak (40%) mampu menyesuaikan diri, 7 orang anak (35%) kreatif , 6 orang anak (30%) bersosialisasi. Pada siklus II terdapat sebanyak 7 orang anak (35%) tergolong sangat percaya diri, sedangkan banyaknya anak yang tergolong percaya diri meningkat menjadi 5 orang anak (25%), sedangkan anak yang tergolong cukup percaya diri menurun atau berkurang menjadi 3 orang anak (15%) dan dan tidak ditemukan lagi anak yang tergolong tidak percaya diri.

Hubungan Dukungan Sosial dengan Subjective Well-Being pada Remaja yang Memiliki Orangtua Tunggal

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan sosial dengan subjective well-being pada remaja yang memiliki orangtua tunggal. Sebagai subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah remaja yang memiliki orangtua tunggal di kampus I Universitas Medan Area. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah adanya hubungan positif antara dukungan sosial dengan subjective well-being, dengan asumsi semakin tinggi dukungan sosial yang diperoleh, maka semakin tinggi subjective well-being pada remaja. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah dukungan sosial yang diperoleh, maka semakin rendah subjective well-being pada remaja. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 108 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala dukungan sosial yang disusun berdasarkan skala likert dan subjective well-being yang disusun berdasarkan skala semantic differential. Dalam upaya untuk membuktikan hipotesis diatas, digunakan metode analisis data korelasi product moment, dimana yang menjadi variabel X adalah dukungan sosial dan yang menjadi variabel Y adalah subjective well-being. Berdasarkan analisis data yang menggunakan analisis product moment, diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara dukungan sosial dengan subjective well-being pada remaja yang memiliki orangtua tunggal di kampus I Universitas Medan Area. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan koefisien Rxy = 0,577 dimana  p= 0.000, berarti < 0,010. Artinya terdapat hubungan yang positif antara dukungan sosial dengan subjective well-being pada remaja yang memiliki orangtua tunggal di Kampus I Universitas Medan Area dengan sumbangan dukungan sosial sebesar 0,333 atau 33 %. Dengan demikian, hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini dinyatakan diterima.
