Abstract

The purposes of this paper is to deliver a conceptual model which enable  analyzing insight to marketing strategy formulation and implementation of a local hospitality and tourism board administrator. Knowing organizational position in the market place is important and for that the Internal External (IE) matrix can be applied. In this model descriptive analysis method applied. Secondary data collected through the study of literature and other publication. The data analysis consists of external and internal environment assessments score, the marketing mix effectiveness, and Segmenting, Targeting and Positioning (STP) analysis. Matrix of the Grand Strategy carried out to overview options to the alternative strategies which the board has. This model suggests that a local hospitality and tourism board should increase its corporate strategies and competitiveness by distinguishably offering products which are different from its competitors, enhancing values offered to attractive tourist destinations, as well as considering local wisdoms and culture embedded in its product offering, so as simultaneously to raise local revenues which can be gained through the increase in the number of tourist visits, and the enhancement of many small medium enterprises and local economy for the betterment of society’s wellbeing

Abstract

In this paper, one of the advanced technology in the field of human-computer interaction is known as the virtual hand. At the first, we have to know the grasping behavior.  The virtual hand simulation can give experience grasping behavior and natural interaction. Many of HCI researcher said that one day the interaction between human and computer will be more natural, easy to use and less error. We only focus on 3D hand gesture. We use the engaging virtual application that supports 3D hand gesture in order to test whether the combination of grasping will provide the desired effect or not. We present the result from usability evaluation experiments. And finally, we want to shows that the  3D hand gesture can be grasping naturally look like the human hand.

Abstract

The development of Information Technology nowadays has caused a shif in a corporate’s standard of effectiveness and it has become a compulsory for its development. The new standard is in line with the need of information that is easy to get and efficiently. PT. XYZ is a national private company engaging in telecommunication network business, and focused on equipment supplying and telecommunication service based on Very Small Apperture Terminal (VSAT). In order to organize the project, PT. XYZ currently has not used the full information system. By using a Dashboard Management Information System, it is expected to help corporate’s to achieve an activity mechanism that is more effective and controlled that enables them to be implemented to ease the monitoring, managing the current project so that it can be well-organized.

Abstract

Management of human resources (HR) of a company greatly influences many aspects in determining the success of the companys work. One of the most important in the management of human resources (HR) in a company is the selection of the best employees periodically to encourage employee morale in increasing their dedication and performance. But in reality the PNRI Public Corporation is still not optimal in conducting the best employee selection, this is due to the unavailability of media that can process employee appraisals and provide recommendations in the selection of the best employees. This study aims to determine the best employee assessment and selection procedures at PNRI Public Corporation and to produce the best employee decision support system based on the needs of the PNRI Public Corporation. In determining the best employees in Perum PNRI, the system uses the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The criteria that have been used in the PNRI Public Office are attendance, work motivation, communication and collaboration, understanding and mastery of work, self-development, achievement of national work targets, rewards and sanctions. This system was developed with the PHP and MySQL programming languages. This information system can be used to process employee data from the incoming employee process, the employee appraisal process, the best employee selection process, to the process of creating employee value reports. The output in this system is the value of the best employee selection calculation with the SAW method and the best employee recommendations for PNRI Public Corporation and the assessment statistics display every quarter.

Abstract

The composition of the Indonesia’s workforce is still dominated by Elementary and secondary school graduate. This study aimed at mapping the Quality of Workforce Education toward Asean Economic Community is a case study in the research area of West Jakarta. Long-term Objectives: To identify the progression of the quality of workforce education in West Jakarta, forecasting inventory and employment needs of West Jakarta, and formulate policies and programs necessary workforce advancement. The results of the study with a descriptive method of analysis indicate the need for: improving the quality of workforce education to conform to the Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs) for major professional services of the Asean Economic Community, identifying the level of inventory and employment needs of West Jakarta, encourage absorption of the workforce, the Government of West Jakarta, to formulate policies and programs of workforce according to Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs) for major professional services in Asean Economic community

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand and describe the impact of compensation and leadership on the organizational commitment and its implications on turnover intention of the main office employees at the PT Provices Indonesia. There are 52 respondents (the whole employees). Data collection was conducted by interview and questionnaire. Path analysis (by using smartPLS3.0) and matric correlation analysis (by using SPSS24) among the variable dimensions were applied.The study revealed that: (1) compensation and transformational leadership have no significant impact on the organizational commitment, but has a significant impact on the Turnover Intention; (2) organizational commitment has no significant impact on the turnover intention; (3) It is not proved that organizational commitment is the mediator variable of the impact of compensation and transformational  leadership on turnover. Based on the analysis of matric correlation among dimensions, to decrease turnover Intention, it is suggested to maintain and improve the following dimensions, such as; (1) indirect compensation versus  planning to seek in other job; (2)  transformational  leadership planning  to seek other job. Besides, to decrease turnover Intention: (1), the management suggests to redesign compensation, (2) doing leadership training, coaching and counseling. It is needed to ensure the convenient or comfortable environment) to do the job.
