Journal Educative is a scientific journal in the field of educational study published by the State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) Bukittinggi, which is a transformation of the analysis journal published by STAIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi. Journal of analysis has been published periodically since 2007 and is a journal in the study of education. In each of its publications, the Educative Journal presents various academic articles in educational studies that not only from textual traditions in education, but also are mixed from field studies. The themes are also varies; educational management, educational sociology, educational technology, curriculum and learning, educational psychology, educational anthropology and Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the comparation of student achievement results of Primary School Semai Jepara with Homeschooling Primagama Semarang. Because both institutions have similarities in the category of inclusive schools, which accept all children as students based on quotas. In this study, the learning achievement studied is only the value of the main subjects namely Indonesian, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences. The result of research shows that Indonesian and Mathematics score from Semai Primary School students is superior to Homeschooling Primagama Semarang. However, in the subjects of Natural Sciences, students of Homeschooling Primagama Semarang are superior. In general, the average value of learning achievement of the main subjects obtained the conclusion of SD Semai Jepara is superior to Homeschooling Primagama Semarang. Keywords: achievement, primary school, Homeschooling. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan komparasi hasil prestasi siswa Sekolah Dasar Semai Jepara dengan Homeschooling Primagama Semarang. Karena kedua lembaga tersebut memiliki kesamaan dalam hal kategori sekolah inklusi, yang menerima semua anak sebagai siswa berdasarkan kuota. Dalam penelitian ini, prestasi belajar yang diteliti hanya nilai dari mata pelajaran utama yaitu Bahasa Indonesia, Matematika, dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai Bahasa Indonesia rata-rata 91,3 dan Matematika 82 dari siswa Sekolah Dasar Semai lebih unggul dibandingkan Homeschooling Primagama Semarang. Namun pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, nilai siswa Homeschooling Primagama Semarang lebih unggul dengan rata-rata 83,31. Secara umum nilai rata-rata prestasi belajar mata pelajaran utama diperoleh kesimpulan SD Semai Jepara lebih unggul dibandingkan Homeschooling Primagama Semarang. Kata-kata kunci: prestasi, Sekolah Dasar, Homeschooling.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study was to know the effectiveness of TANDUR technique (Tumbuhkan, Alami, Namai, Demonstrasi, Ulangi dan Rayakan) on the natural science subject at the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 37 OKU. The population in this exsperimental study was fifth grade students of SD163 OKU, and sample ware V.a and V.b. the data analized by using normality, homogenity, and also t-test. The results of this study was the value of t-obtain from normality test in TANDUR technique was -0,494, t-obtain in PAKEM techique was 0,1142. The value of the t-tabel was 0,05 for N=46 and 24 was 0,161 and 0,19. It concluded that TANDUR and PAKEM trchnique were below L-table so tehe data distribution was normal. The value of kai squared in dk table (2-1)=1, getting 3,841 on significant level 0,05. The value of kai squared was -8,197. It means that the T-obtain of kai squared was lower that t-table of kai squared or -8,197 2,06, so it could be concluded that TANDUR technique was more effective that PAKEM. In summary, the application of TANDUR technique was effective for natural science subject at the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 37 OKU. Keywords: Effectivity, Technique TANDUR, Learning Out Come.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know whether Paragraph Shrinking Strategy gave or did not give significant effect on students?? reading ability. This research was an expemerintal research which is posttest-only control group design. The population of the research was Eight Graders of SMP N 2 Kec. Luak Payakumbuh. The sample was choosen by using cluster random sampling technique. The experimental class was treated by using Paragraph Shrinking Strategy while the control class was treated by using conventional strategy. The instrument of this research was reading test in multiplechoice form. This instrument was valid because it had content validity which had been taught before and it is sbased on the syllabus. Then, this instrument was reliable because the writer had done try out and split half reliability. Next, to analyze the data, the writer used the t-test formula that suggested by Gay to answer the hypothesis. It found that t-test (6.13) and t-table (2.021). It means that t-test was bigger than t-table. On the other word, Alternative Hypothesis (H1) was accepted and Null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. So, it can be concluded that Paragragraph Shrinking Strategy gave significant effect to teaching and learning process and can increase students?? reading ability.

Abstract

The problem in this study was caused by children who had problems in social interaction. The purpose of this study was to improve the quality of social interaction of foster children, namely children at the Aisyiyah Orphanage, Batusangkar Branch. This type of research is pre-experiment with type one group pre-test-post-test design. From the research carried out, the results showed that group guidance services had a significant effect on the quality of social interaction of foster children at a significance level of 1%. This means that group guidance services are effective in improving the quality of social interaction of foster children.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences of students?? speaking ability in the Flipped Classroom model by using 1) audiovisual media, 2) printed media, 3) online learning WhatsApp and Massive Open Online English Course (MOOEC) in terms of students?? personality of conscientiousness and emotional stability. An experimental research method was used in this study where the data taken from 56 students who enroll class eleventh at Senior High School of MAN 3 Padang. They were divided into four different treatment groups. Students?? speaking ability data were collected by using Oral English Competence Test, while the personality data was measured by using questionnaires with 5-point Likert scale. The data analysis used one ways Anacova. Research findings reported that simultaneously the Flipped Classroom Model by using four different media have significant influence on students speaking ability in terms of their conscientiousness and emotional stability, but partially was not significant differences on students speaking ability where the conscientiousness have significant effect on students speaking ability, but not to emotional stability. Flipped Classroom Model by using online learning WhatsApp and MOOEC highly contribute to the improvement of students speaking ability than printed media. English teachers can take advantages of the use online learning media WhatsApp and MOOEC in the teaching of English speaking.

Abstract

The article aims at evaluating of grammar book designed by the author from some experts. Experts?? appraisals were needed to judge whether Textual Enhancement model designed for teaching grammar at IAIN Bukittinggi was valid or not. In this model, the researcher designed grammar lesson of complex sentences under the model of textual enhancement. She made salient grammar features taught by giving boldfaces and colors in every appearance of complex sentences within the texts in order to draw students?? attention to notice it. The study is mixed methods of quantitative and qualitative. Questionnaire and interview were used to collect data of expert judgments on the model developed (grammar book). There are five experts involved in this research who evaluate the book with impressionistic method which includes language, content and organization. The finding reveals that textual enhancement grammar book is valid and reliable. It can be used after being revised in the aspect of language with some grammar and spelling errors, in the aspect of content to suit with native culture, and organization, to consider the attractive sense. Perlu aturan ketat dalam menterjemahkam lafadz Al-Quran karena teks Al Quran berbeda dengan teks lainnya yang banyak digeluti oleh manusia. Terjemah Al Quran di Indonesia berkembang melalui beberapa periode sejak tahun 60 an. Semua produk terjemah Al-Quran dewasa ini harus dibawah koodonasi lajnah khusus di Kementrian Agama. Permasalahan yang muncul dikemudian hari adalah bahwasannya terjemah yang dilakukan oleh lajnah khusus ini banyak mendapatkan kritikan dari banyak ahli diantaranya ust. Muahammad Thalib dengan munculnya terjemah yang dikenal dengan Tarjamah Tafsiriah. Meskipun demikian bentuk terjemah tersebut belum juga mampu mengcover tuntutan terjemah ayat-ayat ilmiyah yang begitu banyak. Abstract

Adversity Quotient (AQ) adalah kecerdasan mengatasi masalah (daya juang), yaitu kecerdasan seseorang dalam menghadapi kesulitan yang menghadangnya. Kecerdasan mengatasi masalah (daya juang) ini merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang dibutuhkan dalam pemerolehan pengetahuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kemampuan mahasiswa camper dalam merekonstruksi irisan prisma. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah satu orang mahasiswa camper yang diambil secara acak. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan Lembar Tugas Mahasiswa (LTM) dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa camper dalam merekontruksi irisan prisma sudah sesuai dengan tahapan dalam mengambar irisan prisma, namun ada bagian-bagian tertentu yang belum sempurna.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the need for text book in writing learning that??s become as the development of instructional material, (2) produce textbooks that fit the needs analysis of students, (3) describes the potential effects of textbook summaries and overviews of learning outcomes. This study is a research and development. Subjects in this study were students of Language, Literature Indonesian and Regional, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Baturaja. The results show that Summary Writing and Summary textbooks of these development outcomes have a potential influence in improving students ability and understanding of writing materials. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan media pembelajaran mobile learning berbasis android pada mata kuliah kecerdasan buatan yang tervalidasi dan mendeskripsikan kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifannya. Penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development dengan lima tahapan (ADDIE), yaitu Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan/Development, Implementasi dan Evaluasi. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan multimedia versi Luther-Sutopo yang terdiri dari enam tahap, yaitu pengonsepan, pendesainan, pengumpulan materi, pembuatan, pengujian dan pendistribusian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) uji validitas dari 2 orang ahli media menunjukkan nilai 94 dengan kategori sangat valid; (2) uji praktikalitas dari 2 orang ahli materi menunjukkan nilai 92,88 dengan kategori sangat praktis; (3) uji efektifitas dari 9 orang mahasiswa pada perkuliahan kecerdasan buatan menunjukkan nilai 93,63 dengan kategori sangat efektif. Berdasarkan hasil uji validitas, praktikalitas dan efektifitas, maka produk m-learning dinilai layak dan dapat digunakan pada pembelajaran mata kuliah kecerdasan buatan. Sehingga disarankan dosen dan mahasiswa dapat memanfaatkannya sebagai salah satu alternatif media pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Mobile Learning, Android, Kecerdasan Buatan.
