This journal, with ISSN 2088-1290, was firstly published on June 1, 2011, in the context to commemorate the Birthday of Pancasila's Name in Indonesia. Since issue of June 2012 to December 2014, the ATIKAN journal was organized by the Lecturers of FKIP UNSUR (Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Suryakancana University) in Cianjur; and, since issue of December 2014 to June 2015, by the Lecturers of FPOK UPI (Faculty of Sport and Health Education, Indonesia University of Education) in Bandung; and published by Minda Masagi Press as a publisher owned by ASPENSI (the Association of Indonesian Scholars of History Education) in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The articles published in ATIKAN journal are able to be written in English as well as in Indonesian and Malay languages. This journal is published twice a year i.e. every June and December. The ATIKAN journal is devoted, but not limited to, primary education, secondary education, higher education, teacher education, special education, adult education, non-formal education, and any new development and advancement in the field of education. The scope of our journal includes: (1) Language and literature education; (2) Social science education; (3) Sports and health education; (4) Economy and business education; (5) Math and natural science education; (6) Vocational and engineering education; and (7) Visual arts, dance, music, and design education.

Abstract

IKHTISAR: Pentaksiran pendidikan di Malaysia bertujuan mendapatkan maklumat  tentang prestasi murid bagi memperkembangkan sepenuhnya potensi setiap individu sebagai modal insan yang harmonis dan seimbang, selaras dengan hasrat Falsafah Pendidikan Kebangsaan. Lebih dari itu, ia diharap mampu melahirkan murid yang lebih cemerlang dalam semua aspek, kerana pentaksirannya dilakukan daripada peringkat awal dan bukan sahaja terhad kepada bidang akademik, tetapi juga merangkumi sahsiah, sukan, dan ko-kurikulum. Dengan PBS (Petaksiran Berasaskan Sekolah), murid-murid dinilai secara adil dan saksama sebagai individu dalam masyarakat berdasarkan keupayaan, kebolehan, bakat, kemahiran, dan potensi diri tanpa dibandingkan dengan orang lain. Pihak sekolah mampu mendapatkan maklum balas yang lengkap dalam bentuk data kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang merangkumi segala aspek tentang diri seseorang murid itu bagi membolehkan pihak yang bertanggung jawab mengenali, memahami, menghargai, mengiktiraf, dan memuliakan anak didik sebagai insan yang berguna, penting, dan mempunyai potensi untuk menyumbang kepada pembangunan negara dan bangsa mengikut keupayaan dan kebolehan masing-masing. Pentaksiran yang berkualiti akan menghasilkan maklumat yang tepat dan menunjukkan keadaan sebenar tentang tahap pembelajaran murid. KATA KUNCI: Pentaksiran berasaskan sekolah, prestasi murid, transformasi pendidikan, pembangunan modal insan, proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran, serta penilaian holistik.ABSTRACT: “School-Based Assessment: A Transformation of Education in Human Capital Development in Malaysia”. Assessment of education in Malaysia is to gather information about student achievement to develop the full potential of every individual as a human capital that is harmonious and balanced, in line with the National Education Philosophy. More than that, it is hoped to produce students who excel in all aspects, because its assessment is carried out from an early stage and is not limited to academia, but also include personality, sports, and co-curricular activities. With SBA (School-Based Assessment), pupils are assessed fairly and equitably as individuals in a society based on abilities, talents, skills, and potentials without comparing his/her-self with others. The school was able to get a complete response in the form of qualitative and quantitative data that encompasses all aspects of a students self to enable the party responsible to recognize, understand, appreciate, recognize, and honor students as individuals useful, important, and have potential to contribute to national development and nation-state according to their capabilities and their abilities. Abstract

IKHTISAR: Pelancongan pendidikan ialah program yang melibatkan perjalanan ke sesuatu lokasi oleh sekumpulan individu untuk tujuan membina pengalaman secara terus. Pelancongan pendidikan dilihat berpotensi besar sebagai suatu segmen pasaran baru dalam agenda ekonomi Malaysia. Dalam Rancangan Malaysia ke-9, umpamanya, sumber pendapatan Malaysia dari sektor ini meningkat daripada RM 220 juta pada tahun 2000 kepada RM 450 juta pada tahun 2005. Antara kelebihan yang mendorong kepesatan pelancongan pendidikan di Malaysia ialah penawaran pendidikan berkualiti tinggi, kepelbagaian pilihan kursus, yuran pengajian yang berpatutan, aplikasi teknologi pendidikan yang meluas, serta wujudnya aneka pilihan institut pendidikan tinggi, sama ada awam mahupun swasta. Ringkasnya, kestabilan politik dan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang memberangsangkan adalah asas penting dalam merealisasikan Malaysia sebagai hub pelancongan pendidikan yang terkemuka di rantau Asia Pasifik khususnya dan di peringkat dunia amnya. KATA KUNCI: Pelancongan pendidikan, agenda ekonomi Malaysia, pendidikan berkualiti tinggi, dan kestabilan politik. ABSTRACT: Educational tourism refers to any program in which participants travel to a location as a group with the primary purpose of engaging in a learning experience directly. Educational tourism with great potential as a new market segment in Malaysia’s economic agenda. In the 9th Malaysia Plan, Malaysia revenue from this sector increased from RM 220 million in 2000 to RM 450 million in 2005. Among the educational advantages of tourist attractions in Malaysia are offering high quality education, diverse selection of courses, tuition fees are reasonable, the widespread application of educational technology, and the existence of multiple choice institutes of higher education whether public or private. Abstract

ATIKAN journal will provide a peer-reviewed forum for the publication of thought-leadership articles, briefings, discussion, applied research, case and comparative studies, expert comment and analysis on the key issues surrounding the educational studies in general and its various aspects. Analysis will be practical and rigorous in nature. The ATIKAN journal, with ISSN ISSN 2088-1290, was firstly published on June 1, 2011, in the context to commemorate the Birth of Pancasila (Five Basic Principles of the Republic of Indonesia)’ s name in Indonesia. Abstract

ABSTRACT: The National Sports System Law in 2005 stated that the scope of sports system in Indonesian is divided into three components, they are: Educational Sport, Recreational Sport, and Competitive Sport. Like it or not, there has been still a bias in the way peoples gave meaning of the sports in the planning document, which is irrelevant with the true meaning purported by the law; and in which it is also still meant that the sports should be directed to the cultivation of the high performance solely. This is definitely inaccurate meaning for which the real meaning of educational sport has its own goal and different targets, giving children broader opportunities to expand and explore their own potentialities. The policy to develop educational sport is supposed to be concentrated on the improvement of physical education and sport program quality; to increase the number of schools organizing sport extra-curricular activities, sport units, and sport classes; to improve the quality of services and management of the Education and Training Center; and to increase the number of sports school in many region of provinces in Indonesia with national standard. If all those mentioned activities could be improved, then, this educational sports program will undoubtedly contribute positively to the sports development foundation in Indonesia generally. KEY WORD: Development of educational sports, recreational sport, and competitive sport, policy review, sports law, and sports development foundation in Indonesia.RINGKASAN: “Pembangunan Olahraga Pendidikan di Indonesia: Studi Kebijakan Berdasarkan Undang-Undang Sistem Keolahragaan Nasional”. Undang-Undang Keolahragaan Nasional Tahun 2005 menyatakan bahwa ruang lingkup sistem olahraga di Indonesia dibagi menjadi tiga komponen, yaitu: Olahraga Pendidikan, Olahraga Rekreasi, dan Olahraga Prestasi. Suka atau tidak, masih ada bias dalam cara orang memberi arti olahraga dalam dokumen perencanaan, yang tidak relevan dengan makna sebenarnya didalam undang-undang; dan yang masih juga berarti bahwa olahraga harus diarahkan untuk mencapai prestasi puncak semata-mata. Ini jelas makna tidak akurat dalam arti yang sebenarnya dalam olahraga pendidikan, yang memiliki tujuan sendiri dan target berbeda, yakni memberikan anak-anak kesempatan yang lebih luas untuk mengeksplorasi potensi mereka dan mengembangkannya. Kebijakan untuk mengembangkan olahraga pendidikan seharusnya berkonsentrasi pada usaha untuk meningkatkan kualitas program pendidikan jasmani dan olahraga; untuk meningkatkan jumlah sekolah yang menyelenggarakan kegiatan olahraga ekstra-kurikuler, unit olahraga, dan kelas olahraga; untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan dan pengelolaan Pusat Pendidikan dan Latihan; serta untuk meningkatkan jumlah sekolah olahraga di banyak wilayah provinsi di Indonesia dengan standar nasional. Abstract

ABSTRACT: The primary purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects of Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) approach to improve students’ learning outcome of tactical game performance in physical education. By applying the constructivism learning theory, the study wants to investigate whether the students learning outcome in tactical game performance can be improved with the TGfU approach. The participants in this study were 10 years old primary physical education students. The Game Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI) was used to measure students tactical understanding of game performance. The results of the validation studies showed that the instruments developed for the purposes of this project were valid indicators of tactical game performance. The ANCOVA results revealed that there was a significant difference between the students who were exposed to TGfU approach and students with traditional skill approach on the post-test (F [1, 69] = 248.83, p < .05). This result indicated that the experimental group with TGfU approach has significant main effects on student learning outcome compared to the traditional skill approach. Abstract

IKHTISAR: Dalam implementasinya, putusan PN (Pengadilan Negeri) banyak yang tidak dapat dieksekusi karena diaggap tidak sesuai dengan nilai-nilai keadilan yang hidup dalam masyarakat. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara sosiologis dalam pelaksanaan putusan PN, menurut Teori Pengakuan, merupakan kaidah hukum yang berlaku berdasarkan penerimaan masyarakat tempat hukum itu berlaku, dengan adanya indikator pengakuan masyarakat berdasarkan rasa keadilan yang tumbuh dalam masyarakat. Sebaliknya, menurut Teori Kekuasaan, secara sosiologis kaidah hukum berlaku karena paksaan penguasa, terlepas diterima atau tidak diterima oleh masyarakat, dengan indikator adanya paksaan penguasa tanpa memperdulikan apakah ketaatan itu akibat paksaan atau tidak, dan tidak mempermasalahkan ada atau tidaknya kesadaran hukum masyarakat, serta sesuai atau tidak dengan rasa keadilan masyarakat. Kajian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa di lapangan, berdasarkan pengamatan, adanya ekses-ekses yang muncul akibat pelaksanaan putusan PN yang tidak mencerminkan keberlakuan sosiologis, yaitu: (1) Hilangnya rasa hormat masyarakat kepada lembaga pengadilan; (2) Ketidaktaatan masyarakat kepada hukum; dan (3) Masyarakat mencari jalan sendiri dalam menyelesaikan masalah di luar jalur hukum.KATA KUNCI: Keberlakuan sosiologis, putusan pengadilan, teori pengakuan dan kekuasaan, ketidaktaatan masyarakat, nilai-nilai keadilan, dan kepastian hukum. ABSTRACT: This article entitled “Sociological Validity in Implementation Court Decisions and its Various Excesses in Indonesia”. In a court decisions implementation, there are more things that can not be considered for execution in accordance with values of justice are living in the community. Results of this study showed that sociologically in implementation of court decisions, according to the Theory of Recognition, is applicable law rules of the reception by the laws that apply to recognition as indicators of  community based on growing sense of justice. On the contrary, according to Therory of Power, sociologically rules applicable law under compulsion authority, regardless received or not by the community, with master indicators coercion regardless of whether compliance that was due and or not resulting coercion, did not make any legal or public awareness, and whether or not in accordance with the justice society. Abstract

ABSTRAK: Matematika, terutama materi Kalkulus, merupakan pelajaran yang sukar karena mengandung konsep yang sangat rinci. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini bermaksud untuk pengembangan sumber pengajaran berbentuk pedoman praktikum dan lembar kerja Kalkulus dengan menggunakan program maple. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah para mahasiswa semester empat Pendidikan Matematika di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan  UNSUR (Universitas Suryakancana) di Cianjur, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah: Skala sikap, Lembar observasi, Lembar kerja evaluasi praktikum, dan Tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pengembangan sumber pengajaran Kalkulus dengan menggunakan program maple sangat efektif; (2) pemahaman dan gambaran mahasiswa meningkat secara signifikan tetapi masih di bawah indikator; dan (3) sikap mahasiswa terhadap praktikum Kalkulus sangat positif. KATA KUNCI: Kalkulus, program maple, kompetensi, pemahaman, dan presentasi mahasiswa. ABSTRACT: Mathematics, especially Calculus, is a difficult subject due to contain a detailed concept. This classroom action research is intended for teaching resource development in form of practicum guidance and Calculus work sheet by using maple program. Subjects in this research are students of fourth-semester of Mathematics education at the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training UNSUR (Suryakancana University) in Cianjur, West Java, Indonesia. Instruments used in this research included: Attitude scale, Observation sheet, Work sheet of practicum evaluation, and Test. Since June 2012 edition, it has been organized by the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training UNSUR (University of Suryakancana) in Cianjur, West Java, Indonesia and published by Minda Masagi Press as one of the publishers owned by ASPENSI (Association of Indonesian Scholars of History Education) in Bandung. The ATIKAN journal is published twice a year i.e. every June and December.

Abstract

IKHTISAR: Peranan pemimpin hari ini mentakrifkan satu era baru akauntabiliti dan keperluan untuk memenuhi kepelbagaian kepentingan daripada kakitangan. Kepimpinan pengetua dalam pembelajaran juga merupakan tindakan yang membawa kepada terciptanya kepuasan kerja  dan mampu mendorong terjadinya peningkatan pengurusan dalaman sekolah, sehingga membolehkan terselenggaranya proses pengajaran yang optimum. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti pengaruh kepimpinan transformasional pengetua terhadap prestasi pengajaran guru sekolah menengah di Wajo, Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah tinjauan kuantitatif. Seramai 550 orang guru Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) telah dipilih untuk memberikan maklum-balas mereka melalui soal selidik. Keputusan kajian mendapati bahawa kepimpinan transformasional pengetua dan prestasi pengajaran guru sekolah menengah di Wajo berada pada tahap sederhana. Selain itu, kepimpinan transformasional pengetua berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi pengajaran guru sekolah menengah di Wajo, Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia. Justeru itu, kajian ini menyumbangkan gagasan dan arah tuju kepada pengetua dan pelbagai fihak bahawa bagi meningkatkan prestasi pengajaran guru sekolah menengah, pengetua mesti mengamalkan gaya kepimpinan transformasional.KATA KUNCI: Kepimpinan transformasional pengetua, prestasi pengajaran, guru sekolah menengah, akauntabiliti, dan proses pengajaran yang optimum. ABSTRACT: “The Role of Principal’s Transformational Leadership in Improving the Teachers’ Teaching Performance at Secondary School in Wajo, South Sulawesi, Indonesia”. The role of leaders today defines a new era of accountability and the need to meet the diverse interests of employees. The leadership of principals in learning is also an action that led to the creation of job satisfaction and could encourage an increase in the internal management of the school to enable the implementation of the teaching process optimization. This paper aims to identify the impact of transformational leadership of principals with teaching performance of Secondary School teachers in Wajo, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. This study uses quantitative survey approach. Five hundred and fifty of Secondary School teachers were selected to provide their feed-back through questionnaires. The findings indicate that transformational leadership of principals and teaching performance of Secondary School teachers in Wajo at a moderate level. In addition, transformational leadership of principals provide positive and significant impact on teaching performance of Secondary School teachers in Wajo, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Abstract

IKHTISAR: Karakter bangsa bagi negara-negara kebangsaan adalah hasil dari proses pencarian dan penemuan identitas dan jati diri bangsa tersebut. Karena tiap bangsa di dunia memiliki perjalanan sejarahnya sendiri-sendiri, maka tidaklah mengherankan kalau terjadi perbedaan karakter bangsa. Tulisan ini mengkaji tentang masalah karakter bangsa dan figur kepemimpinan di Indonesia. Dengan menganalisis enam figur Presiden Indonesia, tulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa ada kaitan yang erat antara pembangunan karakter bangsa dengan keteladanan dari seorang pemimpin bangsa. Hal ini karena seorang pemimpin, terutama Presiden Indonesia, adalah figur panutan dan contoh teladan bagi rakyat Indonesia yang berjumlah lebih dari 250 juta jiwa pada tahun 2015 nanti. Krisis kepemimpinan dan tiadanya keteladanan dari seorang pemimpin, dalam corak masyarakat Indonesia yang masih paternalistik, jelas akan mengakibatkan juga proses reduksi terhadap karakter bangsa secara keseluruhan.KATA KUNCI: Karakter bangsa, negara-bangsa Indonesia, figure pemimpin, Presiden Indonesia, dan model kepemimpinan. ABSTRACT: National character for nation-states is the result of seeking process and the invention of identity and national characteristic. Due to every nation in the world has its history journey, then, it is not a wonder if happened difference of national character. This article discusses about the problem of national character and leadership figure in Indonesia. By analyzing six figures of Indonesian President, this article indicates that there is closely relationship between development of national character and role model of a national leader. This condition because a leader, especially Indonesian President, is peer figure and role model for Indonesian society that amount to more than 250 million people in 2015 later.
