Abstract

This article attempts to analyze the relevance of Jewish prenatal education to Islamic education. This research uses descriptive-analysis method with content analysis approach on the book "Dismantle the Brilliant Jewish Learning Methods" by Delvi Luhvian. To enrich the analysis, the authors also conducted a study of literature on media and articles that related to research problems. The results of this study indicate that the Jews believe that the learning process of children is started since in the womb. Therefore, the Jews are very concerned about prenatal education. In a Jewish perspective, prenatal education is done to stimulate emotional ability by listening to music, inviting fetuses and humming, they also stimulate the intellectual ability by reading books and learning mathematics. Jewish prenatal education is also relevant to Islamic education which also emphasizes prenatal education, but in Islamic perspective, prenatal education not only training the emotional and intellectual abilities but also spiritual abilities.Keywords:prenatal education, Islamic, Jewish

Abstract

This study aims to know the student of IAIN Surakarta’s responds to the effective policy of deradicalization conducted by the government to reduce radicalism and terrorism. Based on the qualitative method the study revealed that seminar/public lecture becomes the key program to prevent radicalism, but it much needed the synergy work between government and students. Even though, the activities of deradicalization have not effectively done, since its implementation still partial and temporal. Abstract

This paper would like to see the public response to financing products of BMT. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach, data collected through interviews with citizens, as well as some public figures that have influence in society. To enrich the discussion, the author also made a literature review of books, news, and articles that are relevant to the problem of research. The results showed that people have not used the financing products of BMT. Financing products are less widely used by the community due to lack of promotion and socialization, and the existence of conventional banks which are still the main priority to get financing. Thus, it is still necessary efforts to socialize financing products of BMT, so its products are known and used by the community.Keywords:Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (BMT), financing, response, community

Abstract

This study aims to know lecturer’s creativity in Arabic learning, in order to increase the student’s interest to learn Arabic. Based on the qualitative approach, the result shows that some the creativities which are able to increase student’s interest in Arabic learning such as, innovate in its methods, media, resources, and its technical evaluation. Practically, can be done through inviting native speaker, or visiting to the famous institutions that the community having fluent spoken in Arabic. In addition, warm attitude and respect to each student, would be able to motivate students to improve his/her abilities. Thereby students will have eager to always do their best in the learning process. In addition, reward would also be able to give student’s interest and motivation in their learning process. Abstract

This article wrote to describe the level of effectiveness of the tax, especially tax revenues and tax obedience in Indonesia. With descriptive approach method by analyzing the source which relating to the implementation of tax amnesty, the result showed that the application of the tax amnesty has not been effective. The Government should find the right solution to improve the effectiveness of the tax in Indonesia. The improved system of taxation and appropriate policy will increase the effectiveness of tax implementation in Indonesia.Keywords:Tax, Tax amnesty, Tax-policy

Abstract

This article is intended to analyze the seven aspects of the development of elementary school children. This research uses the descriptive qualitative method, the data collected by interviewing 8 students of the sixth grade in MI 2 Darsussalam. The results were then analyzed using the theoretical study on the seven aspects of the development of elementary school children. The results showed that seven aspects of development affect the learning process in the classroom. These aspects of development are also influenced by genetic factors, family environment, and the playing environment children. Thus, it is important for parents to monitor aspects of child development to grow into an accomplished individual.Keywords:developmental aspect, elementary school, problems

Abstract

This study aims to explore the practice of learning Islamic business ethics and its implementation among the sharia accounting students of IAIN Surakarta. With a qualitative approach, the results show that the practice of learning Islamic business ethics can be well received by the students. Islamic business ethics has also been applied in business practices by students, such as avoiding prohibited transactions, not reducing scales, and not taking too high a profit. The interviewees also realize the importance of ethics in business, therefore Islamic business ethics needs to be socialized to the wider community, so Islamic business ethics can be implemented in all business activities. Thus, the implementation of Islamic business ethics still needs to be expanded again, involving all levels of society, not only students and academics.Keywords: Islamic business ethics, learning, implementation

Abstract

This article tries to examine cultural identity in novel Kembar Keempat written by Sekar Ayu Asmara by exposing postmodernism characteristic. This research uses descriptive-analysis method that is used to review postmodernism from Jean-Francois Lyotard. The result shows that in novel Kembar Keempat from Sekar Ayu Asmara, there is culture identity from postmodernism view of religion: as liberation and reformation, evasion of identity and masking: as shaping impression, and culture adaption: as a culture expression that borderless.Keywords:Postmodernism, Culture identity, Kembar keempat

Abstract

This article attempts to explore the role of father’s communication in a child's mental development. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the data were collected by interviewing 10 informants at Pondok Tahfidz Karanganyar, then the data were analyzed by literature review. The results showed that father's communication to children is very important in forming the child's mental. In addition, harsh communication to the children will negatively affect the child's mental development, so they become testy, often moody, and difficult to socialize. The quality of father and child communication is influenced by several factors, such as education level and family economic condition. Thus, the father must pay attention to the quality of his communication in order to form a positive mentality to the child.Keywords:father, communication, child’s mental development

Abstract

This research aims to see the various religious understanding of students in IAIN Surakarta from their activities and the existence of Islamic values in the Student Activity Unit. Even though, the study focuses on the various understanding which is moderate in term of its ideology and attitude. Using descriptive-qualitative approach, this research showed that variation of the student religious understanding at IAIN Surakarta, in term of their attitudes was moderate, which are able to be seen from their way of thinking and acting that emphasizing on the principles of tawassuth (moderate), tawazun (balance), i’tidal (middle-way) and tasamuh (tolerance). In addition, the ideology of religion, which is applied by the Student Activity Unit, was also in accordance with the value of moderate understanding.Keywords:Various-understanding, Islamic-values, Moderate understanding,
