The journal provides forum for the sharing, dissemination and discussion of research, experience and perspectives across a wide physics learning include: development of instruments of evaluation physics, development of instructional media physics, the development of learning model of physics, and Quasi-Experiment. Kasuari: Physics Education Journal (KPEJ) published comprehensive research articles and reviews by leading experts in the field. Selected articles, which has a high scientific achievement, provide important new knowledge, and high benefits to society of physics and physics education. The Journal was first published in 2018 and regularly published twice per year in June and December.

Abstract

This research was survey, which was correlational aimed at to know the where abouts of a significant relation between achievement motivation and learning motivation with the learning outcomes of  Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Flores. The population in this study were all students of fourth semester Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universits Flores, amounting to 64 students. While the sample of 51 students were taken by using the nomogram Hary King. The result of the descriptive analysis show that (1) achievement motivation the fourth semester students of Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Flores be in medium category (2) the motivation to study physics student the fourth semester Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Flores be in medium category (3) of the learn physics students the fourth semester of Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Flores obtained through a test study results cognitive be in medium category. While the result of the inferential analysis show that there is a significant relation between achievement motivation and learning motivation with physics learning outcomes the foutrh semester of Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Flores.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of PjBL model based on simple props and critical thinking skills of students in the School Laboratory course. This research uses research type Pre-Experimental Design with sample of all students of semester II which programmed Laboratory School on even semester 2016/2017 in Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Papua. The results showed that the props designed by students 74.0% ± SD 4.2 or are in a good category. Assessment of practical worksheet covers the aspect of format, content, language/writing, and benefits/functions obtained 80.3% ± SD 7.4 or are in the very good category. Critical thinking skills of the students during the learning that is 66.7% ± SD 4.9 or are in a good category. Therefore the application of PjBL learning based on simple props can be used to develop critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the use of learning media book summarization of physics-based smartphone applications for the achievement of learning elasticity in class XI SMA N 2 Lubuklinggau. This research uses two methods of development method (research and development) and quasi-experimental method (quasi-experimental design). Development method using ADDIE development on analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The place of study was conducted in SMA N 2 Kota Lubuklinggau with a sample of 64 students, divided into two experimental classes and control class. The objective test was used for data collection in this study. The test is given twice before treatment and after treatment. The analysis test used parametric statistic with a t-test. The result of the research shows that there is an increase of learning achievement in the experimental class that shows the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) which reaches the learning completeness 93,75% and the learning completeness improvement is 75,00% from the pretest value of 18,75%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the achievement of physics learning using Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) model and find out an increase or gainscore between experimental classes using Team Games Tournamens model with control class using whiteboard. Conducting research in SMAN 1 Tugumulyo with sample 48 students, consisting of 25 students class XIA1 as experiment class and 23 students X1 A2 as control class. The type of this research is quasi experimental design. The data collection technique used is objective test. The statistical prestation test (t-test) used in this research is homogeneous test and normality data test. The results showed that: 1) the experimental class experienced an increase in learning achievement between before and after using TGT model, 2) the increase or gainscore in the experimental class is 5,0 and the gain score of the control class is 4,24. So it can be concluded TGT model can affect student achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the items semester final exam evaluation study subject in physics using rasch model in terms of validity, reliability, and difficulty level of item in the physics lesson class X TKJ SMK Negeri 2 Manokwari. This research was a qualitative research that is evaluation of learning outcomes using quantitative descriptive method with data collection techniques used documentation. The data of respondents 44 students with the number of items 30 questions, obtained the result are the validity of the conformity level of item 26 questions was fit and 4 questions not fit. The students reliability 0,37 is weak, the item reliability 0,83 is good and the reliability between students with item 0,42 is bad. The difficult level of item general in the medium category, the means is very good because it is not difficult and not easy. The conclusion item analysis using rasch model in semester final exam evaluation were valid, reliable, and the difficulty level of item is very good.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the achievement of student learning outcomes using problem posing model in SMA Negeri I Taniwel. This type of research was descriptive. Random sampling technique was conducted to determine the sample of research that is class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri I Taniwel. Technique of data analysis in the form of analysis of student achievement test result based on reference benchmark rating or reference standard. Formative test results (posttest) showed that most statements have achieved higher scores, after getting treatment through the problem posing model applied. The results showed that the problem posing model can help students in achieving good physics learning outcomes, especially on business and energy concepts with a final value of 82.6.
