VOLT: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Teknik Elektro (Scientific Journal of Electrical Engineering Education) [ISSN: 2528-5688, e-ISSN: 2528-5696], is a peer-reviewed, scientific journal published by Department of Electrical Engineering Vocational Education, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (UNTIRTA) in collaboration with Asosiasi Dosen dan Guru Vokasi Indonesia (ADGVI) - Association of Indonesian Vocational Educators (AIVE). The aim of this journal is to publish high-quality articles to all aspects of the latest outstanding developments in the field of Electrical Engineering Education, Vocational Education and Electrical Engineering. The journal invites scientists, teachers, lecturers, practitioners, engineers throughout the world to exchange and disseminate theoretical and practice-oriented topics of Electrical Engineering Education, Vocational Education, and Electrical Engineering which covers 8 majors areas of research that includes: 1) Electrical Engineering Education, 2)Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), 3) Vocational Education, 4) Engineering Education, 5) Electronics Engineering Education, 6) Information and Communication Technology Education, 7) Mechatronics Education, and 8) Electrical Engineering (Power, Electronics, Instrumentation and Control, Telecommunication and Multimedia, Computer and Informatics Engineering, Signal/Image Processing, etc.). It was first published in 2016. VOLT regularly published twice in a year on April and October.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze: (1) quality of project based learning tool with trainer PLC, (2) the creativity of students after following the learning to use project based learning tool with trainer PLC, and (3) self-reliance learn student after following learning using project based learning tools with trainer PLC. This research is a research and development (R&D) using One Group Pretest Postest Design. The results showed that (1) the learning tools of project based learning with PLC trainer shows excellent quality with a score of 81.4%; (2) the creativity of students after implementing learning using learning tools of project based learning with PLS trainer has increased with the average value of N-gain of 0.60 criteria medium;  (3) the self-reliance of the student learning increased after implementing learning using project based learning tools with PLC trainer, indicated by the average value of N-gain of 0.55 with medium criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) untuk membuat e-modul interaktif yang memenuhi syarat valid sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Bengkel Listrik di IKIP PGRI Madiun, (2) untuk mengetahui hasil belajar mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Teknik Elektro setelah menggunakan e-modul interaktif pada materi K3 dan (3) untuk mengetahui respon mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Teknik Elektro terhadap e-moduli interaktif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran e-modul interaktif terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa semester V S1 Pendidikan Teknik Elektro IKIP PGRI Madiun. Adapun rancangan penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah one shot case study. Dalam penelitian ini diperoleh data sebagai berikut : (1) media pembelajaran e-modul interaktif yang dibuat telah layak untuk digunakan pada proses belajar mengajar dikelas pada mata kuliah bengkel listrik, (2) hasil belajar mahasiswa yang menggunakan media e-modul interaktif dinyatakan tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 82,22,  (3) respon mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan media e-modul interaktif pada proses pembelajaran juga masuk pada kategori baik.

Abstract

Pipe robot is a robot capable of moving inside the pipe. The function of the pipe robot is to monitor pipe defects. The pipe robot is designed to move steadily in the center position inside the pipe. HCSR-04 distance sensor required input to give distance value to the microcontroller so that robot keep running stable and balance, for movement of the robot using DC motor. This robot is made with the aim to move autonomously following the pipeline in detecting pipe cracks. Programming on this robot using Artificial Neural Network algorithm with the Backpropogation method of network structure, consist of 3 input layer, 3 output layer, and 20 hidden layers. Conducted experiments on inputs, hidden layers, and outputs with varying amounts to obtain robust network structure of efficient and precise movement of robots in detecting pipe cracks. The result of movement of the robot in the application of Artificial Neural Network algorithm with Backpropagation method is able to move well and more stable. In this case, it uses 2 ultrasonic sensors and 2 motor outputs. The average robot speed movement is 10 cm/sec.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap strategi belajar siswa dalam memperoleh kompetensi pada kegiatan Praktik Kerja Industri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus. Informan pada penelitian ini adalah pembimbing industri, pembimbing siswa dari sekolah, dan siswa peserta praktik kerja industri. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yaitu model interaktif Miles & Huberman, meliputi pengumpulan data, data condensation, penyajian data, verifikasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi yang digunakan siswa dalam memperoleh kompetensi pada kegiatan praktik kerja industri yaitu (1) Belajar menggunakan panca indera; (2) Belajar memecahkan masalah; (3) Belajar mandiri; (4) Belajar melalui lingkungan kerja; dan (5) Belajar terus menerus dan diulang-ulang.

Abstract

Parking system has become a significant need for a university. A good parking system is used to ensure the users vehicle safety. The current parking system applied in Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo is still manual. Instruments of the study are observation, interview, and software development method used is waterfall method. This study has designed a parking application using RFID technology that can show users to empty parking locations so that customers can find vacant parking locations quickly and reduce queuing processes. The identification process is done when a customer enters the parking lot. Media used is in the form of RFID card. With parking applications using Radio Frequency and Identification (RFID), it changes the manual parking system into a more effective and efficient parking system.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah produk instrumen penilaian hasil belajar siswa berbasis TIK pada mata pelajaran Dasar Listrik Elektronika (DLE) di jurusan Teknik Audio Video SMK Negeri 5 Padang. Instrumen penilaian hasil belajar siswa berbasis TIK ini digunakan untuk  mengungkap hasil belajar siswa yang sesungguhnya secara akurat dengan sistem tes komputerisasi menggantikan penilaian konvensional berbasis kertas (paper based test). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Research and Development (R and D) dan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Jenis data yang diperoleh berupa data primer. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data deskriptif yaitu dengan mendeskripsikan validitas dan praktikalitas instrumen penilaian hasil belajar siswa berbasis TIK. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian pengembangan ini sebagai berikut: (1) Validitas instrumen penilaian hasil belajar siswa berbasis TIK dinyatakan sangat valid pada aspek desain produk dan aspek isi/materi, (2) Praktikalitas instrumen penilaian hasil belajar siswa berbasis TIK berdasarkan respon guru dan siswa dinyatakan sangat praktis. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa instrumen penilaian hasil belajar siswa berbasis TIK ini valid dan praktis untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai alat evaluasi atau penilaian hasil belajar pada pembelajaran DLE.

Abstract

This study aims to create an interactive learning module that qualifies valid, practical and effective for Computer Assembling subjects in Vocational High School.  This research is a Research and Development research conducted in Vocational High School class X  West Sumatra. The population of this research is SMK in West Sumatra. Samples are SMKN 6 Padang SMKN 1 Painan, SMKN 2 Pulau Punjung. The results of the assessment of the three validators overall validator test assessment of the Interactive Module of 88.67% so that the level of validity can be interpreted Valid used. Overall assessment of the practicality of the Interactive Module as a learning resource of 86.08%, so the level of practicality can be interpreted Very Practical used. And the effectiveness assessment of Interactive Module as learning resource equal to 85,25%, so the level of effectivity can be interpreted Highly Effective used.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar dan kebiasaan belajar siswa selama mengikuti proses belajar mengajar pada mata diklat PKDLE yang berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas 1 Teknik Audio Video SMK N 1 Padang.  Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar yang berkontribusi positif sebesar 38,30% dan linier dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%, yang berarti jika motivasi belajar siswa meningkat maka kontribusinya terhadap hasil belajar juga akan semakin besar. Kebiasaan belajar berkontribusi positif sebesar 32,10 % dan linier dengan taraf signifikansi 95 %, yang berarti jika kebiasaan belajar siswa semakin baik, maka kontribusi yang diberikannya terhadap hasil belajar juga akan semakin baik.  Motivasi belajar dan kebiasaan belajar secara bersama-sama berkontribusi positif sebesar 50,90 % dan linier dengan taraf signifikansi 95 %, artinya jika motivasi belajar semakin meningkat dan didukung oleh kebiasaan belajar yang semakin baik, maka kontribusi yang diberikannya juga akan semakin baik terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Dari data temuan  penelitian dapat dilihat tingkat pencapaian responden terhadap motivasi belajar termasuk dalam kategori cukup dan kebiasaan kebiasaan belajar juga dalam kategori cukup.

Abstract

Career guidance is expected to help students to establish students career choice to be a professional in the future. However, current conditions and the fact in the area is not as expected. This study aimed to evaluate how Reaction, Learning, Behavior, and Result on the Career Guidance program at SMK Negeri 1 Kecamatan Guguak Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. The kind of this research is an evaluation study with the program evaluation of Kirkpatrick model that is a Reaction component, Learning, Behavior, and Result. The method used is a mixed method. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaire, while the qualitative data collected through interview, observation, and documentation. It can be concluded that career guidance services at SMK Negeri 1 Kecamatan Guguak Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota is good enough category, Reaction and Learning component still needs to be improved and more attention.
