Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce practical guidance with patterns of thinking empowerment by questioning. This researchdevelopment starting from the definition phase, the planning phase, and the development phase. The development phase includes three steps, namely validation by expert teacher and two lecturers, product revision, and produk testing. Validation expert is testing materials and the quality of the results obtained 100% with a very high category. Readability level got result>60% with ten indicators of getting high category. Aplicatibility level got result> 60% with two indicators of gettinh veri high category and eight indicators of getting high category. Practice guidancehas beendevelopedin accordancewith thecriteria ofgoodpracticeguidance. Practice guidance developed has advantages which can develop students critical thinking skills, but this guide also has the disadvantage that only limited one material is Mushroom material.KataKunci:Penelitiandanpengembangan,  petunjuk praktikum, berpikir melalui pertanyaan.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to improve textbook basically project based learning to increasing student creativity that expect that become lesson object and lesson source of biology supporting, understand quality of textbook based on qualification material, presentation, language, and understanding, as soon as understanding respond of students concerning textbook, cognitive result, and student creativity levels. This research using development research with development model 4 stages and have the purpose of research and development from Borg & Gall. Data can we gets from test result cognitive and creativity assessment such as tabulation data with doing validation, reliability, and homogeneity with assistance computer program SPSS 16.0, so that knowing there is differences or nothing level of study result pre-test and post-test of class groups on using textbook with class group that not using textbook by examination t-test. The development of textbook has validation by expert and employing is very good to use. There is differences in levels and the result of the study and creativity student between the way of treating with class control.Kata kunci: buku ajar, kreativitas, project based learning

Abstract

Citric acid as a preservative function, inhibit oxidation and kill the bacteria. Naturally of  citric acid is found in many fruits such as pears, oranges and pineapple. Banana peel waste is one that still has enough good content to be processed and be utilized. The purpose of this research/study to determine there is influence of pineapple extract toward the quality of banana peel flour. This study uses the method completely randomized design (CRD), with one control and three treatments with eight repetitions. A data obtained by the test Liliefors normality test, homogeneity with bartlette test and continued to test the hypothesis. The conclusion is found that the influence of the quality of the flour extract of pineapple and banana skin treatment using extracts of pineapple 1000 ml give the best effect. Based on this study can be used as resources in the learning of Science Process Skills alternative approach .Kata kunci: Ekstrak buah nanas, kualitas tepung kulit pisang kepok

Abstract

This research was intended to 1) know how to increase the students’ activity of class X of SMA Teladan 1 Metro through contextual learning based on inquiry 2) know how master the concept about ecosystem of students class X of SMA Teladan 1 Metro through contextual learning based on inquiry 3) know whether there is increase of learning activity and mastery of ecosystem concept through contextual learning based on inquiry. To gain the objectives above, the research method used in this research was Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subject of the research were the students of class X of SMA Teladan 1 Metro. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that 1) Contextual Learning can increase the student learning activity, which covers: a) listening to teacher explanation activity which was 5-10 % previously out of the whole class became 96%, b) proposing idea activity which was previously 1-5% out of all students became 94%, c) observation activity which was previously 15% out of all students became 85%, d) activity in following discussion which was 15% previously out of the whole students became 84%, e) activity in doing analysis and reporting the result was 10% previously became 96%. 2) Contextual learning can increase concept of ecosystem mastery by comparing pre-test and post test result in the end of the cycle 2. From the analysis, it was found that the Gain score was normalized became 0,793 or there was increase of concept mastery as high as 79.3% from the gain before the treatment compared to after the treatment, and 3) contextual learning can increase learning activity and concept of ecosystem mastery. Kata kunci: Contextual Teaching and Learning, Aktivitas Belajar, Penguasaan Konsep

Abstract

The research was to incrase of students critical thinking skills. The subject of this study were SMAN 2 Metro grade X4 class numbering 30 student in the second semester of the academic 2011/2012. And the object of his research is the critical thinking skills. The results showed that the implementation of problem-based learning model on Biology learning, can increase students critical thinking skills. Increase critical thinking skills is almost all indicators, such as the ability of clarification, argumentation skills, induction skills, deduction skills, and ability to perform and execute. Increase critical thinking skills that students can be seen from the increase in the average value of each point about the cycle I and cycle II. The success of critical thinking can also be seen from the increase in the thoroughness of learning, that is equal to 6 students in cycle I to cycle II is 24 students. The means the percentage of students who achieve greater value equal to 72 also increased, from 20% in cycle I to 80% in cycle II. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatkan kemampuan kerjasama dalam belajar biologi melalui penerapan strategi inkuiri terbimbing pada siswa kelas VII semester ganjil SMP Negeri 6 Kota Samarinda Tahun Pelajaran 2010/ 2011. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, dalam tiap siklus terdiri dari tiga kali pertemuan, dalam tiap pertemuan peneliti dan observer mengamati kemampuan kerjasama siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan siswa kelas VII-6 SMP Negeri 6 Samarinda yang berjumlah 44 orang dari populasi seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 6 Samarinda yang berjumlah 343 orang. Hasil penelitian menunujukkan bahwa siklus I dari tiga kali pertemuan diperoleh rata-rata kemampuan kerjasama siswa sebesar 12,04%, siklus II dari tiga kali pertemuan diperoleh rata-rata kemampuan kerjasama siswa dalam belajar biologi sebesar 61,58% siswa yang mampu, dan pada siklus III dalam tiga kali pertemuan diperoleh rata-rata kemampuan kerjasama siswa sebesar 84,53% siswa yang mampu. Berdasarkan hasil anlisis data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan kerjasama siswa dalam belajar biologi melalui penerapan strategi inkuiri terbimbing. Abstract

Koi fish (Cyprinus carpio haematopterus) is one type of ornamental fish. Koi fish that have beautiful colors and shapes and bright can be high selling value. Color is one of the reasons for ornamental fish demand by the community. Koi fish can not produce their own color pigments to enhance the beauty of their skin. The effort made to obtain color enhancement is to add a pigment source to the feed, for example, Carrot Flour and Pumpkin. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of carrot flour mixture (Daucus carota D) and pumpkin flour (Cucurbita moshata L) to Koi fish color. The study used Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with four treatments and three replications. Treatment 1 (P0) with pelleting, Treatment 2 (P1), combination between the pellet and 30% Carrot flour. P2 is a combination of pellet and 30% pumpkin flour. P3 is a combination of 30% pellets and 70% yellow pumpkin flour and Carrots with a ratio of 1: 1. Parameters in this study include color change, fish growth, and water quality. The research was conducted for 30 days with 2 observations, namely the 15th and 30th days. The results of the research were tested using the Analysis of Variety Sidik (ANSIRA). If there is a difference between median treatment values, then proceed with DMRT test to know the best treatment. The result of ANSIRA test showed that there was a significant effect on the addition of carrot and pumpkin flour to the increase of Koi fish color. DMRT test results showed that at day 15 there was no difference in treatment effect between P1, P2, and P3. On the 30th day, P3 showed the best effect.Kata kunci: Cyprinus carpio haematopterus , Ikan Koi, Cucurbita moschata D, Daucus carota L, Peningkatan Warna.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of biology teaching through inquiry integrated with cooperative towards the critical thinking ability. This research addresses the role of inquiry and cooperative learning strategy as well as these interactions towards the increase of the critical thinking ability. Quasi experimental research of Pretest-postest nonequivalent control group design with factorial design 2x2x2 were implemented on the odd semester in academic years of 2006/2007  on X grade student of the state SMA in Metro City Lampung. The  research sample consists of 96 students, comprising of student from high and low academic abilities. To examine hypothesis, it is used Ancova technique and continued by LSD test. There was a difference on the critical thinking ability  between students who learn by inquiry level 1 with student who learn by inquiry level 2, between students, who have high academic ability and students who have low academic ability, and there was not difference on the critical thinking ability  between students who learn by STAD cooperative  with student who learn by TPS. There is no effect of interaction between inquiry with cooperative, inquiry with student’s academic ability, cooperative with student’s academic ability, inquiry with cooperative and student’s academic ability towards the cognitive achievement Kata kunci: cooperative learning, inquiry, berpikir kritis

Abstract

This study aims to explore the types of microalgae that exist in Watervang Waterfall Lubuklinggau City. This research was conducted in June-July 2016 in area Watervang Waterfall of Lubuklinggau City. Sampling is done in the morning, done on two stations with three repetitions. The study is explorative descriptive: exploring the microalgae and identifying it. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitative. The types of microalgae found in waters of Watervang Waterfall of Lubuklinggau city consist of 3 Divisions, 6 classes of 14 genus and 15 species. The microalgae of the Bacillariophyceae class consists of 3 types: Synedra ulna, Rhizosolenia sp, Navicula sp. Chlorophyceae class consists of 7 types namely: Gonatozygon sp, Scenedesmus sp, Pediastrum duplex, Pediastrum singulex, Mougeotia sp, Selenastrum sp, Closteridium sp. Trebouxiophyceae class consists of 1 type, namely: Chlorella sp. Ulvophyceae class consists of 1 type: Ulothrix sp. Class Zygnemophyceae consists of 1 type: Pleurotaenium sp. Class Cyanophyceae consists of 2 types: Synechococcus sp and Oscillatoria sp. Kata kunci: Eksplorasi, Mikroalga, Air Terjun Watervang.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were 1) To determine the variation of which produces the best tempe manufacture of rubber seeds. 2) To determine the effect of fermentation on protein content in soybean seeds produced rubber. 3) To determine the effect of fermentation on the quality of flavor, color, odor, and texture of tempeh rubber seeds produced by organoleptic tests. 4) To determine the effect of fermentation on the application of research and the protein content of soybean seeds receive the rubber as the source of the material studied biology at the Food Biotechnology. Data results showed that the fermentation of soybean protein affect the levels of rubber seed (Hevea brasiliensis) is seen with Fhit (5.5147)> Ftab 5% (4.07) and test results of the Real Honest Differences (BNJ) to the protein content of soybean seeds rubber (Hevea brasiliensis) show that the treatment time of 36 h fermentation significantly different from treatment of 60 hours and 72 hours. The treatment time of 36 hours of fermentation produces the highest protein levels by an average of 8.5939%.       Kata kunci: Waktu fermentasi, kadar protein tempe, daya terima.
