Abstract

Abstract: The elderly will be many setbacks organs occurance, therefore elderly susceptible diseases such as hypertension. Common elderly hypertension is systolic hypertension if the systolic pressure ‚?• 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure < 90 mmHg. This study uses cross-sectional approach by taken sample used simple random sampling and got 107 elderly. The independent variable was exercise behavior, stress and diet while the dependent variable was the rate of hypertension in elderly. The results showed, the elderly who suffer from hypertension with less exercise as many as 45.79%, and less resistant to stress as many as 39.25%. Most of elderly consumed foods that cause hypertension such as salt, sugar, and foods that contain fat. Testing with Chi-square test showed exercise behavior and stress have significant relationship with the occurrence of hypertension in the elderly, obtained p = 0.000 (p <0.05) for exercise behavior and p = 0.047 (p <0.05) for stress behavior. The conclusion is, there is a relationship among exercise behavior, stress and diet with the level of hypertension in the elderly at posyandu lansia kelurahan gebang putih kecamatan sukolilo Surabaya. Active participation of the community is expected include volunteers and families to determine the success of the posyandu lansia‚??s program.Keywords: Exercise, stress, diet, level of hypertension in the erderly

Abstract

Abstract: Liquor is the drink that contains alcohol when consumed excessively and constantly can harm and harm both physically and mentally that will affect the behavior and way of thinking. As a result it will further affect their social life with family maupun hubungan well with the surrounding community. Subjects were adolescent users liquor in the village district Jatigono Kunir Lumajang district. This research method is quantitative cross-sectional approach, primary data was collected through questionnaires, sample of 43 respondents was chosen by quota sampling method, where researchers will contact the subjects that meet the characteristics of the population are easily found to amount / quota set are met. The results of the study in mind that teenagers who get good knowledgeable as many as 20 (46.5%), teenagers who are less knowledgeable either no 7 (16.3%). Meanwhile, teens who behave as many as 24 (55.8%), teenagers who behave poorly there were 4 (9.3%). While teens are having good action by 25 (58.1%), adolescents who have poor measures a total of 18 (41.9%). For research on adolescent behavior change is known that the majority of respondents did not want to change as much as 48.8%, and do not know want to change or do not want to change as much as 16.3%. While the number of respondents who want change as much as 34.9%. Conclusions taken from this study is the average respondent behaved but the views from The studies coheren sense of the majority of respondents did not want to turn in because of experiencing stress and depression. Abstract

Abstract: A healthy snack is a snack that is free of rhodamin B and sodium cyclamate is not exceeding the limit . Research‚??s purposes is to identify a knowledge and attitudes about the use of rhodamine hawker traders B and sodium cyclamate . This study is a descriptive cross sectional design . The study of population hawker traders are around SDN Pucang I and IV Sidoarjo . The sample size is the overall study population by 13 merchants and 7 samples snacks . Collection of data is through observation and interviews . Examination of rhodamin B and sodium cyclamate done through laboratory tests . The results showed that lacking of knowledge of the majority of traders is about 53.8% , having a good attitude of 53.8%, and in the sample of snacks are not found the use of rhodamin B as well as natrium cyclamate in excess of levels . Conclusions of research is that, the level of knowledge of most traders are unfaforable but traders mostly good attitude which is in line with the results of the study being found no use of rhodamine B and sodium cyclamate that exceed the limit . The relevant agencies such as the health department should conduct the extension of health more frequent, as well as, the traders shouldbe motivated to attend the extension of health, and to get a counseling regarding food additives , rhodamin B and sodium cyclamate , and schools should provide healthy cafeteria for their students.Keywords: the attitude of traders, knowledge of trader, sodium cyclamate, and rhodamin B.

Abstract

Abstract: Dental caries is one of and mouth disease that mosly common in the community. According to the research of Department of Health, Indonesia, stated that the prevalence of caries in children is still quite high, at 85%. The objective is to analyze the difference of effectiveness between lecture method with ilustrated stories and lecture method with stair snake game in elementary school students for improving knowledge, attitude and practice towards dental and oral health. This experiment research with simple random sampling methode using Wilcoxon signed rank test and Kruskall Wallis test. This result showed that snake and ladder game method is more effective than the illustrated stories metho. it was seen from the value of knowledge (p = 0.0001), attitude (p = 0.0001) and practice (p = 0.0001). This research suggested for government agencies to take advantage of an innovative media for providing health education and good learning.Keywords: dental and oral health, effectiveness, illustrated stories, snake and ladders games

Abstract

Abstract: Youth House Model was a form of stakeholder collaboration in providing coaching youth in reproductive health. Youth House into a pilot project to develop cooperation and empowerment of adolescents. Since the beginning in early 2011 prior to the youth programs in Tanah Kalikedinding. Where stakeholders have provided support and guidance to local youth. The development effort was done because during this coaching given to adolescents never an adolescent program sustainable so easily lost. This study aims analysis Teen Home Land Kalikedinding implementation and the role of government, NGOs, and University in the process of coaching teens towards empowerment of adolescents in adolescent reproductive health. Research in this study is descriptive qualitative and performed with the deductive approach. Data collection was carried out from June until July 2011. With data collection by conducting interviews and existing literature cites as the basis of a good research library of books, articles, and websites on the internet from the official memo, archival material and documentation of youth House. The results showed that implementation of youth house in Tanah Kalikedinding very precise . Through coaching by Puskesmas Tanah Kalikedinding, Rotarians and Health Promotion and Behaviour sciences department. The programs for adolescent reproductive health services was only done by institution, but all of institutions chose to cooperate and collaborate as programs that exist now many appear and disappear . Therefore, to complement the shortcomings of each of these agencies to collaborate with each other . These three agencies choose to conduct peer education approach or peers. The advantage of this approach is peer educators can directly blend with the theme . Keywords: Model, Empowerment and Youth House

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Subjective complaints are symptomatic complaints and unpleasant feeling that felt by respondent. Incidence of subjective complaints is influenced by individual characteristics, job¬† factors,¬† and¬† environmental¬† factors.¬† Tailors¬† occupation¬† which¬† done¬† by¬† the¬† tailors¬† on jalan Patua Surabaya can make some subjective complaints. The objective of this research was to study work attitude related to subjective complaints of tailors on jalan Patua Surabaya. This was an observational analitic research. The population of the research was 58 tailors. Data were collected by interviewing 49 tailors and observation. Data octained were analyzed by Chi-Square test. The independents variables of this research were respondent characteristic (aged, gender, smoking and exercise habits, work period, long hours of work) and works attitude. The dependent variable research was subjective complaints. The result of this research show all male gender respondent, 86% respondents had smoking habits, 51% respondents had exercise habits, 67% respondents had been working for ‚?§ 12 years, worked with ‚?§ 8 hours a day, 80% respondents with static sitting position and all at the responden work with unergonomic attitude. Showed that 69% respondent had subjective complaints and there were relation between subjective complaint and smoking habits (p = 0,36), exercise habit (p = 0,47), and work attitude (p = 0,36). It is recommended that respondent to not sit with static position for long time and take a rest for 5‚??10 minutes during there job hours.¬†Keywords: attitude of work, individual characteristics, subjective complaints

Abstract

Abstract: Indonesia is one of the biggest countries in the matter of consuming cigarettes. In 2008, Indonesian people consumed 240 billions of cigarette bars or 658 millions of cigarette bars every day. Cigarettes have enticed people from all level of ages and professions including Kiai as well as santri in pesantren. Kiai is a prominent figure for santri to follow. He becomes a reference and model for santri in all aspects of life. This research is conducted to evaluate the role of religious figures toward the smoking behaviors of santri at Pondok Pesantren Al- Islah Kediri. The research is a descriptive research using qualitative approach. Thorough interviews are conducted toward 23 informants. The informants are taken out of population using inclusion criteria. The informants are male santri or board and are willing to be informants. The variables of the research are age, the sensation obtained from smoking, the confidence of obtaining blessing from the remnant of Kiai‚??s cigarettes, education, knowledge, regulation, the availability of cigarettes, the cost for buying cigarettes, santri smoking behaviour, and Kiai Smoking behavior. The result of the research shows that informants‚?? behavior of smoking is much influenced by people around them. Those who began smoking before entering Pondok are influenced by their fathers, grandfathers, and their friends. While those who began smoking after entering Pondok are caused by other smoking santri or Kiai. In conclusion, smoking behavior in Pesantren is influenced by not only outside but also inside environment. The inside environment intended is the influence from the fellow santri as well as Kiai, while outside environment is the influence from family ( father and grandfather) and friends.Keywords: smoking behavior, santri, Kiai, Pondok Pesantren

Abstract

Abstract: Temper tantrum are feeling angry outburst characterized by crying, screaming, bullying, kicking, jumping jacks or hitting. One that‚??s effects temper tantrum are parenting parents. Parenting is the behavior of parent who apply to children who are relatively consistent. The design of this study was cross sectional design, data collection using the primary data with questionnaire, sample of 38 respondents are selected with a Research probability sampling variables were parental age, parental education, parenting parents, and the incidence of temper tantrum. From the results of this research can be seen that as many as 25 children (65.8%) have temper tantrums in a controlled event and 13 children (34.2%) experienced incidence of temper tantrums that are uncontrolled. While the pattern of care of as many as 28 people (73.3%) had a pattern that tends to foster democratic, and people who obtained for the authoritarian parenting as many as 10 people (26.3%). Getting the significance at P = 0.016 (P <0.05), means there is a relationship between the parenting and the incidence of temper tantrums. Conclusions taken from this research is a pattern of parenting has to do with the incidence of temper tantrums in children aged toodler. While parental upbringing has something to do with the level of parental education.Keywords: Parenting, tempered tantrum, toddler childhood, Parental education

Abstract

Abstract: The human behavior that allow for increased production of waste reaching the stage where production waste was more dominant than the ability to destroy the waste generated. Responsibility for managing household waste generated from a family activity by housewives. The main purpose of this study is describe the behavior of housewives in waste management in RW 11 villages south Bluru Sidoarjo district. This research uses descriptive method with simple random sampling the sampling number of 71 people with a degree of significance (őĪ = 0.1). The results showed knowledge of respondent about waste management in the category was 87.3%, the attitude of respondents in waste management are in a category was 83.1% and the respondents in the waste management measures are in the category of less 87.3%. To improve waste management behavior provided information to mothers on the management of housewifes waste is good for housewifes can better understand and can be applied by them.Keywords: behavior of housewifes, waste organizing

Abstract

Abstract: Adolescent Health Care Services (PKPR) is a model for youth health services at the health center. Adolescent involvement is one way for the successful implementation of PKPR. Adolescents in this case were grouped into two, namely as a provider and as a user. This study aims to analyze stakeholders in the implementation of PKPR programs, in terms of the perception of the degree of influence, attitude and interest related to strategic step in PKPR. This study was a descriptive study used qualitative methods, the study subjects were comprised of stakeholders youth from school, community, and mosque . Total research subjects were 12 respondents. Collecting data used in-depth interviews and FGD between researchers and stakeholders. Results showed that adolescents stakeholders were categorized as ‚??observers‚??, that mean adolescents have not yet felt the effects and passive involvement in the implementation of strategic PKPR. Thus, need for the involvement of youth in the program implementation PKPR start from planning to evaluation. Key words: PKPR , Stakeholders , Adolescent
