Abstract

Spirituality in the context of counseling have the same potential both positive or negative, counselors need to have a standardized competencies to integrating spiritual and religious dimension in the counseling process. Spirituality is a part of the individuals development that characterizes humanity and as an indicator of mental health. Standarized competencies in integrating spiritual dan religious in counseling process can be achieved with education.

Abstract

Multicultural sensitivity both theoretical and empirical needs to be owned by counselors in the counseling service. Multicultural sensitivity is important in the counseling process because of its multicultural sensitivity counselor at counseling services can be predicted to be more effective. Counselors are required to have a multicultural sensitivity as access to better know, understand and appreciate the whole cultural experience that is owned by the counselee as well as exploring the potential counselee with a fixed packing uniqueness. The counselor with a keen sensitivity better understand and appreciate the cultural bias between the counselor and counselee which is predicted to be able to direct the counselee to develop optimally

Abstract

The basic substance of Cartesian philosophy is God, Mind and Material. Descartes philosophical views have contributed to the development of the science of Psychology and Counseling, especially theories that put forward the concept of "self". That view childbirth counseling approaches that focus on client centered and one of the most powerful influences that approach focuses on cognitive counseling. Impacts of Descartes the view that many western streams counseling theory that the exclusion of Gods role in the practice of guidance and counseling. So theories of counseling west flow looks like secular theory.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the efforts of school counselor in establishing the Psychological Self Concept learners from minority cultural backgrounds in schools through counseling across cultures and religions. The subjects were students of class VII MTsN II Yogyakarta. At this time, students still bring cultural and religious upbringing of his childhood. Results showed that the influence of childhood subject in the establishment of Psychological Self Concept and the role of the school counselor effect, by providing guidance and counseling services which is based on social, cultural and religious and result conceptual steady against self-concept and improve aspects of the diversity of learners.

Abstract

Bulying that was experienced by someone affected an anxiety and pressure in life. Therefore, asertif training strategy of counselling is required for reducing bullying. Assertive training strategy of counseling is utilized to reduce an anxiety and increases individual interpersonal by removing bullying effect and ward off bullying activities. Asertif training strategy of counseling for reducing bullying consist of rational, identification, differentiating asertifs behaviour and exploringtarget, role playing, simultaneous training, homework and follow-up, and terminations.

Abstract

This research is held based on the fact that a few students have difficulties to express their opinion in a discussion forum. The students tend to be silent while the opportunity to ask  questions has been given, the students unable to say “no” or to reject other student’s will, and misconceptions among peer members of discussion group may often lead to a conflict. Moreover, student’s interpersonal communication has to be improved because it has an important role in daily life, particularly on social interaction. Especially in dealing with others, especially students of the FKIP Umtas. The purpose of this study to determine the general picture of interpersonal communication students of the FKIP Umtas. Research using descriptive methods. Instruments used to describe the interpersonal communication students collected through questionnaires. Results showed generally interpersonal communication students of the FKIP Umtas Force in 2015 at the high category. That is, students of FKIP Umtas have already demonstrated the intensity of interpersonal communication that is relatively well on most aspects and indicators of student interpersonal communication.

Abstract

This research is motivated  importance of reduction in the difficulties experienced by the students in making career decisions so that learners are able to make a career decision is "right" that is, the process of making the right decision and best suited to the characteristics and individual goals. The purpose of this study is to obtain an overview effectiveness of career counseling services trait and factor to reduce the career decisions maiking difficulty Class XI students. Research using quasi-experimental methods. The design of this study is nonequivalent pretest - posttest control group design (pretest-posttest two groups). The instrument in this study was a career decision making difficulty questionnaire of students. Subjects were students of class XI of SMAN 3 Bandung school year 2013/2014 were taken by purposive sampling technique, and then raffle determine experimental group and the control group. Hypothesis testing is performed using the t test statistic, namely through statistical analysis of the independent t-test (independent sample t-test) using SPSS 20.0 for windows. The results showed: (1) the general difficulty making career decisions of students in middle category, (2) female students were more likely to have difficulty than male students, (3) the design of interventions in stacking based needs analysis, (4) career counseling trait and factor effective to reduce the difficulties students make career decisions.

Abstract

Adolescents are often perceived by parents and teachers as future rebels, risky, materialistic, emotional, depressed, stubborn and rude. Furthermore, adolescents identical to storm and stress are characterized by high volatility in the face of the problem itself. Teenagers who are close to the religious life will be easier happier than those far from the religious life. This study aimed to explore the correlation of spirituality and happiness in the late teens to the 2nd generation students of Muhammadiyah University Tasikmalaya. This study uses bivariate correlational. Data retrieval through purposive sampling techniques, the student of the 2nd course of study Guidance and Counseling University of Muhammadiyah Tasikmalaya. The respondents of this study amounted to 53 people, consisting of 38 women and 15 men. The average age of respondents was 19.91 years, SD: 1.097. Spirituality has a significant correlation with happiness in the late teens students of Muhammadiyah University Tasikmalaya. The magnitude of the correlation is 0.673 (+ number), the higher the spirituality of the higher happiness in adolescents. Spirituality has a role amounted to 45.2% against happiness.

Abstract

The background of this research was that there was tendency on the need of guidance and counseling services for improving students’ maturity in the future. The research was aimed at developing a career guidance program for improving students’ career maturity. This study used descriptive method. The samples were second semester students of music, fine art and dance education study programs of Language and Art Education Faculty (FPBS) of UPI in academic yaer 2007-2008. Data collected by utilizing a career maturity instrument developed by the researcher. The research concludes that (1) students’ career maturity was is mature category; (2) there was no guidance services for improving career maturity of students of art education departments of FPBS and UPTLBK UPI; (3) based on result of the research, a career guidance services program for improving student’s career maturity could be formulated.

Abstract

AbsractThis study raised from emotional problems in elementary students, where emotions their felt can not to be regulated. This seen from the behavior that their shown directly on someone who they did’nt like, such as: make fun of friend which led to fights and other behavior as a result of the negative emotions that they feel. Thus the necessary interventions that can assist students in managing their emotions, one way is by role-playing techniques. This study aims to obtain empirical facts about the effectiveness of role-playing techniques to improving emotion regulation elementary students. The quasi-experiment method is used in this reseach. Emotion regulation questionnaire was used to obtain research data. The study population was a fifth grade elementary school students of Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung of the academic year 2014/2015. The results of this study indicate that the fifth grade elementary school children majority can regulate their emotion. Emotion regulation is consist of five aspects: situation selection, situation modification, attentional deployment, cognitive change, and response modulation. The students data pre-post test of emotion regulation were analyzed with quantitaive data. The results showed that students of emotion regulation after role-playing technique was implemented statistically changes better, which is a significant difference between the scores of pre and post test who obtained by students in the experimental group. In addition, compared to the control group, the experimental group has a significant change after the implementation of role-playing techniques.
