Pertama kali terbit pada bulan Oktober 1996 dengan nama Jurnal Penelitian Dan Karya Ilmiah, JIP-STPT (ISSN 1411-1527) ini merupakan Jurnal Ilmiah Pariwisata terakreditasi pertama yang memperoleh Akreditasi Dikti No.52.Dikti/Kep/2002. Penulis-penulis yang telah mengisi edisi jurnal merupakan dosen STP Trisakti ditambah dengan penulis-penulis lepas yang berasal dari institusi pendidikan, institusi pemerintah, wartawan serta pemerhati-pemerhati bidang kepariwisataan. Berikutnya pada tahun 2006 Jurnal Ilmiah Pariwisata kembali mendapat Akreditasi Dikti No. 55a/Dikti/Kep/2006.

Abstract

Work engagement is one of the important component in the organization that can drive the optimal organizational performance. Work engagement also related to the outcome performance such as productivity, profitability, and customer loyalty. The aim of this research to find out the factors that influence work engagement at PrimeBiz Hotel Surabaya. This research using quantitative method with the saturation sampling technique. The sample of this research were 45 employees that has been working more than a year at PrimeBiz Hotel Surabaya. The result of the result was financial compensation influenced to the work engagement, financial compensation influenced to the organizational commitment, and organizational commitment influenced to the work engagement.

Abstract

This research discusses the introduction of the  traditional game in the country. Nusantara game activities with the introduction of those aspects in which the value of culture, philosophy, history, role, application, and benefits should be part in preserving national culture and also provide for regional cultural traits. Traditional games Cublak-Cublak Suweng is a traditional game from Central Java. The history of this game, to do with the creation of the song Cublak-Cublak Suweng, derived from Walisongo, figures propagator of Islam in Java. Cublak traditional game-cubak Suweng can be used as a medium to develop the moral capabilities of early childhood. this can be seen from the meaning contained in the game Cublak-cubak Suweng that finding treasure, position, and positions do not indulgence but everything is back to a clean conscience, conscience will more easily  find  what  wishes  are  looking  for,  do  not  get  lost  street  to  forget  the  hereafter.  While  the  social development of children from perminan can be seen from the child benefit: interacting and socializing with friends and build sportvitas child when a turn to play, the child should receive.  The results of this study identified that the game does have a big part in the archipelago nations cultural heritage. Through the efforts of recognition given in the project, this activities carried out that the traditional games need to be introduced to the people as a cultural preservation efforts since by recognize these games and its aspects will enhance the awareness of individuals and groups about the importance of preserving the national culture in this  form of traditional games.

Abstract

Along with the progress of various fields of education, communication skills are the main goal in learning a language. One component of language skills that must be possessed is to speak, that is speaking well using correct grammar. To have these skills, an effort is needed from the language instructor so that it can facilitate the achievement of these objectives, thus students are expected to be able to communicate properly and correctly. To achieve these objectives the teacher needs teaching materials that can be a medium between instructors and learners to achieve learning goals.

Abstract

This study aims to utilize seaweed as a substitute on Japanese Nori foodstuffs and can be consumed by the community. Seaweed is a raw material that is widely used for various purposes such as additional ingredients on cosmetics or or just made in addition to the drink on ice mix. With this research is expected to seaweed in the making of Nori can be replaced with green grass jelly. Because Japanese food such as Nori is now commonly found in almost all major cities in Indonesia. The method used is an experimental method which will be making products with the trial of the treatment of the control over the products studied were Nori. After conducting experiments then performed using the Sensory Testing instrument in the form of a questionnaire about Organoleptik Test and Test hedonic committed to the panelists, to find out the differences as well as the level of preference on taste, texture and aroma. Descriptive test was then performed to give a snapshot of data from Appearance and hedonic test has been done. Then do the data analysis using the Test Independent T-test to determine significant differences between the arithmetic mean of the control and treatment products.

Abstract

Service quality is used as a benchmark to determine how good is the premium airline operated.  It is also one of the important aspects to maintained the customer satisfaction and for them to keep choosing the airline to become their flying partner. The research objective is to know the correlation between service quality and customer decisions to use Batik Air Indonesia.  The research method used is descriptive with quantitative approach. Primary data collection is by spreading the questionnaire to 100 respondents that ever flown with Batik Air Indonesia at least once, which consist of 8 questions of Respondents Background, 13 questions of  Service Quality’s elements and  23  questions of  the Customer Decision Process. The result shows there is a strong correlation with value 0.908 between Service Quality’s elements and Customer Decision Process’s elements, and the coefficient determination is 82.4%, which means there is a high correlation between Service Quality and Customer Decision Process, and the rest of 17.6% also influenced by other things which are not being analyze in this research. Hence, according to the results obtained, conclusion, and suggestions are written to help in improving Batik Air Indonesia’s Service Quality to be better.

Abstract

The development of tourism is increasingly interesting to study, given that many domestic and foreign tourists travel. Plus, the tourism sector is being promoted by the government. In 2016 the government established 10 priority tourism destinations as "new Bali" one of which is the Thousand Islands located in DKI Jakarta. This study provides an overview of how destination images can provide self-confidence, how the quality of the trip that tourists feel and the desire of tourists to visit again or not after visiting these destinations. This research is very important to do to see whether visiting tourists will visit again in the future. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods, carried out in cross-sectional, data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires. Respondents were tourists visiting the Thousand Islands. Sampling using the Clustersamplin method. Data analysis methods are validity and reliability test, descriptive statistical analysis, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression, using the help of SPSS 21 for window software (Pramesti, 2013: 37–66).

Abstract

Experimental research about adding gelatin in Chrysanthemum-based drinks, recipe made from Krisanthemum Flower which is the most favored by the people and how the level of peoples preference for the Krisantemum Flower-based drink is the most favored by the community. The tests used in this experimental study were sensory tests or organoleptic tests which only used a distinctive and descriptive test as well as a hedonic test on 80 untrained panelists. This study has the results of a descriptive test in the organoleptic test in the form of a sample formulation of 080 which got the highest score of 2.96 in terms of taste and 3.90 in terms of aroma, and sample 894 received the highest score of 3.68 in terms of texture of Chrysanthemum Flower based drinks. Then for the results of the hedonic test or preference test obtained in the form of 191 samples most preferred by panelists with a value in terms of taste of 0.032, in terms of texture of 0.059 and in terms of aroma of 0.099.

Abstract

Kepuhsari Village is a puppet craft village, located in Wonogiri Regency. Existing cultural resources are able to be optimized as a tourist attraction with the characteristic of making wayang kulit, through a complete process, namely cutting and playing. The emergence of the Wayang Village Tourism Village is a tangible form of the application of the Community Based Tourism concept. This research was proposed to find out: the economic impact of the implementation of community-based tourism in the Wayang Village Tourism Village. This study uses a qualitative approach, by collecting primary data through interviews and observations to explore more deeply the phenomena that occur, supported by regional mapping and documentation. The primary data collection will be reduced to draw a red thread from the statements that appear, supported by secondary data that is deemed appropriate to the context of the problem. Analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis. This research produces findings, namely: Economic benefits, changes in puppet production patterns, and the use of cultural resources are strongly influenced by tourism, although the perceived direct economic impact is relatively low but tourism presence is able to move the economic wheel of the Kepuhsari village community.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to determine what factors influence Turnover Intention. And to find out the employees assessment of psychological contract, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, job insecurity, wages, company size, age and tenure of Turnover Intention. The research method used in this study is the method of validity, reliability, mean, cartesian diagram, GAP, and CSI, and with the survey method that uses questionnaires as a data retrieval tool. As well as the unit of analysis used is individuals in this case are employees of Hotel XYZ totaling 136 respondents. The results of the data obtained will be processed through the SPSS program tool ver 23. After the data collection has been carried out and the data is processed, the results obtained are the quality of the company that has been considered good enough by the employees. But there are some things that must be corrected. The results are still lacking by employees, namely the expectation of employees who are considered lacking with a value of -0.91, that is, professionals in work are still considered lacking, - 0.85, namely that work safety is still considered insufficient, and - 0.82 ie salary which is appropriate for the employees work. With the results data above, these three factors are still considered lacking by employees, while for other factors it is considered good enough by employees.

Abstract

The city is a tourist destination (urban tourism). It is just not a gateway or tourist gathering point. Labuan Bajo has a strategic function and location to become a catchment area for many tourists. However, does Labuan Bajo has urban tourism products so potential as urban tourism? Through a qualitative design with a case study approach, this study find that Labuan Bajo has tourism products that make tourists linger in the city, such as place activity, leisure setting, and municipal service facilities. The tourism product has the role as the main attraction of tourists namely lodging facilities, conferences, entertainment venues (café and bar), shopping facilities (shopping), inter-regional transportation facilities, tourism attractions of Pede Beach, Wae Cicu, Batu Cermin, Puncak Waringin, as well as shopping spaces. And tourism products that support the main activities of tourists in Labuan Bajo, such as transportation facilities, information and travel agents
