EDUKASI is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that focuses on Religious Educational Research. It published by Center for Research And Development of Religious Education, Republic Indonesia Ministry of Religious Affairs, since 2003 and had been released three times a year. Now (since 2017) it governed in associated and corporated to Religious Researchers Association. And since 2009 it had been accredited by Indonesian Science Institution. Nowadays are about to prepare for becoming International Journal reputation that would be indexed at global high ranked index. As the scientific reading material publication, the EDUKASI aimed to provide readers with a better comprehensive understanding of Religious Educational Studies in Indonesia, and even around Asia countries and the world. We invited all researchers, lecturers, teachers, and whoever interested and have a manuscript of religious education to send off what you have been researched and reported to be published in EDUKASI. The articles should be original, unpublished and not under review for possible publication in any other journals. All submitted manuscripts will be blindly-reviewed by qualified academics in the field. This process may take several weeks or months.

Abstract

AbstractThis writing is intended to review a formation model on religious student character for tahfidz at Mathali’ul Huda Boarding School, Kajen. This study is important since the implementation of character education at educational institution existing in Indonesia requires a good model, and boarding school is assessed able to become a good model in implementing the character education especially for a religious character. There are numerous schools unable to become a place to transfer knowledge and to form character of its student. This research includes type of onsite research using a verificative qualitative approach where the research is directly conducted at Mathali’ul Huda Boarding School by presenting theory to become a frame to analyze the research finding outcome. Data collection method used is carried out through interview, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, this research finds that there are five stages on the formation of the religious student of tahfidz at Mathali’ul Huda Boarding School, namely: 1. stage on religious character value knowledge; 2. stage on religious character value awareness; 3. stage on religious character implementation; 4. religious character habituation; fifth, stage on long life religious character preservation. AbstrakTulisan ini mengkaji tentang model pembentukan karakter religius santri tahfidz di Pondok Pesantren Mathali’ul Huda Pusat Kajen. Kajian ini penting, karena implementasi pendidikan karakter di lembaga pendidikan yang ada di Indonesia membutuhkan good model, dan pesantren dinilai mampu menjadi model yang baik dalam mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter khususnya karakter religius. Selama ini banyak sekolah belum mampu menjadi tempat untuk memindahkan pengetahuan sekaligus membentuk karakter peserta didiknya. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian lapangan yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif verifikatif, dimana peneliti terjun secara langsung di Pondok Pesantren Mathali’ul Huda dengan membawa teori yang dijadikan frame untuk menganalisa hasil temuan penelitian. Tekhnik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa ada lima tahapan pembentukan karakter religius santri tahfidz  di Pondok Pesantren Mathali’ul Huda Pusat, yaitu: 1. tahapan pengetahuan nilai karakter religius; 2. tahapan kesadaran nilai karakter religius; 3. tahapan pengamalan karakter religius; 4. tahapan pembiasaan karakter religius; kelima, tahapan penjagaan karakter religius sepanjang hayat.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims at obtaining information on an illustration of library at STAIN Pare-Pare either management or utilization of its material and the illustration on relevancy of the material available for the human being needs. This research method adopts a qualitative approach. The research outcome shows: 1) library collection at STAIN relating to compulsory and recommended book whose titles are not covered yet, 2) suitability of the books provided for the student’s needs has been suitable with the needs of lecture material, 3) library services against user has been good enough, d) reading room has not been equipped by air conditioning, 4) limited visit time. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang gambaran perpustakaan STAIN Pare-Pare baik dari segi pengelolaan, maupun pemanfaatan bahan pustakanya, dan gambaran tentang kaitan antara koleksi bahan pustaka yang tersedia dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunaakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) koleksi perpustakaan STAIN terkait dengan buku wajib dan buku anjuran belum merata judulnya, 2) kesesuaian buku-buku yang tersedia bagi kebutuhan mahasiswa sudah sesuai dengan kebutuhan materi perkuliahn, 3) pelayanan perpustakaan terhadap pengguna sudah cukup baik, d) ruang baca belum dilengkapi dengan alat pendingin, 4) waktu kunjungan masih terbatas.

Abstract

AbstractThis writing presents a research outcome on religious literature of the religious activist at Senior High School (SMA). It aims at explaining student’s reading model towards selected religious readings and identifying affiliation of the understanding on the religious literature. The research is performed by using a textual reception theory which the data is collected through interview and study on the text. This research concludes that students perform a negotiation model reading. The negotiation is carried out in terms of language style. A substance or message with any idea will be interested for them if it is presented by an exciting language style. Meanwhile, there are two styles in the religious literature affiliation, namely moderate style meaning that it corresponds to a mainstream of religious perspective in Indonesia, and another one is based on khilafah ideas that affiliate to a transnational Islamic movement. The second affiliation is more interesting for them since the style is created in an interesting way.AbstrakTulisan ini menyajikan hasil penelitian tentang literatur keagamaan aktivis Rohani Islam di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Tujuannya adalah menjelaskan model pembacaan siswa terhadap bacaan keagamaan yang dipilih, dan mengidentifikasi afiliasi pemahaman keagamaan literatur tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan teori resepsi teks, yang datadatanya dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan telaah teks. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa siswa-siswi melakukan pembacaan model negosiasi. Negosiasi terjadi dalam hal gaya bahasa. Substansi atau pesan dengan ide-ide apapun akan disenangi jika disajikan dengan gaya bahasa yang menarik bagi mereka. Adapun afiliasi literatur keagamaannya ada yang berhaluan moderat dalam arti sesuai dengan arus utama pandangan keislaman di Indonesia, dan ada yang berhaluan ide-ide khilafah yang berafiliasi dengan gerakan Islam transnasional. Afiliasi yang kedua ini yang lebih banyak diminati karena gaya yang menarik bagi mereka.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims at finding out how input, superiority and particularity of learning process, and output of MTs Negeri Winong Pati has influenced. The research on State Islamic Junior High School is Superior in adopting a qualitative descriptive method at MTs Negeri Winong Pati, Central Java. The research outcome shows that MTs Negeri Winong Pati has several superiorities and particularities. Of the input side, this school has qualified student input, adequate facility and infrastructure, professional teacher and supported by innovative management. The superiority and particularity owned by this school among others are history, physical particularity, financial independency, innovation on general and religious curriculum, learning innovation namely bilingual boarding school, olympic class, comparative overseas study and supported by innvovative learning method with IT. This school has a good achievement in terms of its institution, principal, teacher and student. The achievement is not only in academic  field but also non-academic and religious fields. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana input, keunggulan dan kekhasan proses pembelajaran, dan output MTs Negeri Winong Pati. Penelitian Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Unggul menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif di MTs Negeri Winong Pati Jawa Tengah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MTs Negeri Winong Pati memiliki berbagai keunggulan dan kekhasan. Dari sisi input, madrasah ini memiliki input siswa yang berkualitas, sarana prasarana yang memadai, tenaga pengajar yang profesional, dan didukung manajemen inovatif. Keunggulan dan kekhasan yang dimiliki madrasah ini antara lain kesejarahan, kekhasan  fisik,  kemandirian pembiayaan, inovasi kurikulum umum dan agama, inovasi pembelajaran yaitu kelas bilingual boarding school, kelas olimpiade, studi banding keluar negeri, dan didukung metode pembelajaran inovatif dengan teknologi IT. Prestasi madrasah juga unggul baik prestasi lembaganya, kepala madrasah, guru, dan siswa. Prestasi tidak hanya di bidang akademik tetapi juga bidang non akademik dan keagamaan.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is carried out at SMA Kristen Palangkaraya and Muhammadiyah 1 Palangkaraya. The research aims at finding out implementation of religious education curriculum that has been applied for the school under religious foundation and its influence against religious behavior of the student which is seen from the aspect of religiosity, honesty, tolerance, reconciliation, social awareness and ideal form in the implementation. Method applied in this research is combination between quantitative and qualitative approach using focus group discussion (FGD). The influence of relation of r2 (determination coefficient) is around 0.343. It means that a religious behavior of the student is 34,3% that can be explained by the religious education implementation and remaining 65.7% should be explained by other factors. The FGD is to find out an idea in building the student character in the expectation of building religious spiritual (religious aspect) and social piety (aspects of honesty, tolerance, love peace and social preservation). AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Kristen Palangkaraya dan Muhammadiyah 1 Palangkaraya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan kurikulum pendidikan agama yang telah diterapkan untuk sekolah di bawah yayasan keagamaan, dan pengaruhnya pada perilaku keagamaan peserta didik dilihat dari aspek religiusitas, kejujuran, toleransi, perdamaian, kesadaran sosial, dan bentuk yang ideal dalam pelaksanaannya. Metode yang dipakai pada penelitian ini adalah kombinasi antara pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif yang menggunakan focus group discussion (FGD). Besarnya pengaruh hubungan dari r2 (koefisien determinasi) adalah sekitar 0.343. Artinya, perilaku keagamaan siswa sebesar 34,3% dapat dijelaskan oleh pelaksanaan pendidikan agama, dan sekitar 65,7% yang tersisa harus dijelaskan oleh faktor lain. Melalui FGD untuk menemukan ide dalam membangun karakter siswa dengan harapan membangun spiritual keagamaan (aspek religius) dan kesalehan sosial (aspek kejujuran, aspek toleransi, aspek cinta damai, dan aspek perawatan sosial).

Abstract

AbstractAs an educational institution, MIN Malang I has obtained an achievement that makes proud either at local or national level. This research digs up on how MIN Malang 1is known with a concept on total management quality which is urged on three aspects namely focusing on customer, continual process improvement and involvement of all organization members. This research discovers that MIN Malang 1 always cooperates with outside parties in a good manner as a user to find out a trend or change of their needs so that it can serve well. In the context of internal quality improvement, MIN Malang 1 applies a chain system either among leaders, teachers, employees or student. Meanwhile, to maintain a life quality of the Islamic elementary school, (environment and learning process) is built a system to control each other over among leaders, teachers, students and themselves. This system is able to build togetherness and sense of belonging among academic communities of MIN Malang 1 which respect each other and no one is abandoned.AbstrakSebagai lembaga pendidikan, MIN Malang I telah memiliki prestasi yang membanggakan baik di tingkat lokal maupun nasional. Penelitian ini menggali bagaimana MIN Malang 1dibaca dengan konsep total quality manajemen yang di tekankan pada tiga aspek yaitu fokus pada pelanggan, perbaikan proses terus menerus dan ketrlibatan total seluruh anggota organisasi. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa MIN Malang 1 selalu menjalin kerja sama dengan pihak luar sebagai pengguna untuk mengetahui tren atau perubahan kebutuhan mereka sehingga bisa melayani dengan baik. Dalam konteks peningkatan kualitas internal, MIN Malang 1 menerapkan sistem berantai baik antar pimpinan, guru, karyawan maupun siswa. Sedangkan untuk menjaga kualitas kehidupan madrasah (lingkungan dan pembelajaran), dibangun suatu sistem saling kontrol mulai dari antar pemimpin, antar guru, antar siswa dan saling silang diantara mereka. Sistem saling kontrol ini mampu membangun kebersamaan dan rasa memiliki diantara sivitas akademika MIN Malang 1 yang berujung pada saling menghargai dan tidak ada yang merasa diabaikan

Abstract

AbstractPesantren is an educational institution that specializes in Tafaqquh fial-Din. Hence, the educational system of the pesantren becomes knowledge source of Islam and as a place for developing moral of student. Role of the pesantren is relevant to a discourse on quality development for Human Resources of Islam followers that is designed integrative between intellectual and moral. An integration of the intellectuality and morality constitutes an educational strength at the pesantren. Such strength makes the pesantren already contribute in the home country. Hence, if the pesantren will be “sold” to international world, it is necessary to consider aspect of the strengths. This writing tries giving an opinion on developing the pesantren in general context so that it can contribute to the Islamic studies at the international world.AbstrakPesantren adalah lembaga pendidikan yang mengkhususkan dirinya untuk Tafaqquh fial-Din. Karena itu sistem pendidikan pesantren menjadi sumber pengetahuan agama Islam dan tempat pembinaan moral anak didik. Peran pesantren tersebut relevan dengan wacana pengembangan kualitas SDM umat Islam yang integratif antara intelektual dan moral. Integrasi intelektualitas dan moralitas merupakan kekuatan pendidikan di pesantren. Kekuatan inilah yang membuat pesantren telah berkontribusi dalam pentas nasional. Oleh sebab itu jika pesantren akan “dijual” ke dunia internasional perlu dipertimbangkan aspek kekuatan-kekuatan tersebut. Tulisan ini mencoba memberi sumbangan pemikiran kearah pengembangan pesantren secara umum agar dapat memberi sumbangsih pada studi Islam di dunia internasional.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims at disclosing empirically with regard to general illustration of SMA Saraswati and religious education service against the student. This research data is collected by researcher through interview, observation, questionnaire and document. The research outcome shows: (1) Since the establishment in 1952, SMA Saraswati 1 has taught the religious education in accordance with religion they embrace and is taught by same religious teacher. Nevertheless, this school has not provided a special room for the student to perform worship in accordance with the religion. (2) All GPA has had academic qualification with background of religious education (link and match). (3) The religious service of Islam, Christian and Buddhist has not reached “ideal quality” at this school. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan secara empirik tentang gambaran umum SMA Saraswati dan layanan pendidikan agama terhadap peserta didik. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan peneliti melalui wawancara, observasi, kuesioner dan dokumen. Hasil penelTitian ini menunjukkan: (1) SMA Saraswati 1 sejak berdiri 1952 telah mengajarkan pendidikan agama sesuai agama yang dianut peserta didiknya dan diajarkan oleh pendidik yang seagama. Namun, sekolah ini belum menyediakan tempat (ruang khusus) kepada peserta didik untuk melaksanakan ibadah sesuai agamanya. (2) Seluruh GPA telah memiliki kualifikasi  akademik dengan latar belakang pendidikan guru agama (link and match). (3) Layanan pendidikan agama Islam, Kristen dan Buddha di sekolah ini, belum mencapai “kualitas ideal”.

Abstract

AbstractA displacement of the imprisonment to the penitentiary replaces the term of prisoner becomes penitentiary-developed resident. The penitentiary system is oriented on the efforts of preservation, development, education and up-building. One of the development forms for the developed resident is the development and up-building on mental and religious education. The penitentiary of Class II B Cianjur conducts at-Taubah boarding school. Where and what kind of position for at-Taubah Boarding School at the Penitentiary and how the religious education is conducted. Through qualitative method, it is found that at-Taubah boarding school is established by one of the developed residents and the Penitentiary itself. It concluded that at-Taubah boarding school constitutes a therapy boarding school and religious education in the frame of establishment of the Moslem personality. AbstrakPergeseran kepenjaraan kepada lembaga pemasyarakatan menggantikan sebutan narapidana menjadi warga binaan pemasyarakatan. Sistem pemasyarakatan berorientasi kepada usaha perawatan, pembinaan, pendidikan, dan bimbingan. Salah satu bentuk pembinaan bagi warga binaan adalah pembinaan dan bimbingan mental kerohanian dan pendidikan agama. Lapas Kelas II B Cianjur menyelenggarakan pesantren at-Taubah. Dimana apa posisi pesantren at-Taubah di Lapas dan bagaimana penyelenggaraan pendidikan agama. Melalui metode kualitatif, ditemukan bahwa pesantren at-Taubah didirikan oleh salah satu warga binaan dan pihak Lapas. Pesantren at-Taubah terpadu dengan pembinaan di Lapas. Disimpulkan bahwa pesantren at-Taubah merupakan pesantren terapi dan pendidikan keagamaan dalam rangka pembentukan kepribadian muslim
