EDUKASI is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that focuses on Religious Educational Research. It published by Center for Research And Development of Religious Education, Republic Indonesia Ministry of Religious Affairs, since 2003 and had been released three times a year. Now (since 2017) it governed in associated and corporated to Religious Researchers Association. And since 2009 it had been accredited by Indonesian Science Institution. Nowadays are about to prepare for becoming International Journal reputation that would be indexed at global high ranked index. As the scientific reading material publication, the EDUKASI aimed to provide readers with a better comprehensive understanding of Religious Educational Studies in Indonesia, and even around Asia countries and the world. We invited all researchers, lecturers, teachers, and whoever interested and have a manuscript of religious education to send off what you have been researched and reported to be published in EDUKASI. The articles should be original, unpublished and not under review for possible publication in any other journals. All submitted manuscripts will be blindly-reviewed by qualified academics in the field. This process may take several weeks or months.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the extent of the increased competence of madrasah principals related to additional tasks of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah principals batch IV and V after attending training organized by the training center in 2015. The experimental design used in this study is one group pretest - posttest design that provides pre-test and post-test after a treatment. The sample was saturated sample in which the sample is all the population of the participants of the additional task debriefing  task  for  madrasah  principals  batch  IV and batch V. Normality the test is done to determine the distribution of normal distribution of data or not. This study uses an analytical method with small samples (≤ 50), the test data normality using the  Shapiro-Wilk  test  with  the  confidence  value used of 0.95 and significance value of α = 0.05. To view whether the data distribution is normal or not is done if the p value is > 0.05 the data distribution is normal and when the p value is <0.05 then the data distribution is not normal. Results of the data analysis  determines  the  effect  of  the  training  on the competency of principals, it appears that the average difference of competence of principals in batch IV and batch V before and after the training is 70.2000. The Mann Whitney test results showed that the p-value is 0.000 <α (0.05). It is concluded that the training has effect on the competence of principals.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peningkatan kompetensi kepala madrasah terkait dengan tugas tambahan kepala madrasah Ibtidaiyah angkatan IV dan V setelah mengikuti diklat yang diselenggarakan oleh balai diklat pada tahun 2015. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berbentuk one group pretest – posttest design yaitu memberikan prestest dan posttest setelah di berikan treatment/perlakuan. Sampel penelitian ini adalah sampel jenuh di mana sampelnya adalah semua populasi yaitu peserta diklat substansi pembekalan tugas pembekalan tugas tambahan kepala madrasah angkatan IV dan V. Uji normalitas dilakukan untuk mengetahui sebaran data berdistribusi normal atau tidak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analitik dengan sampel kecil (≤ 50) maka uji normalitas data menggunakan uji shapiro-wilk dengan ketentuan nilai keyakinan yang dipakai adalah 0,95 dan nilai kemaknaan α = 0,05. Untuk melihat distribusi data normal atau tidak dengan cara, jika p value > 0,05 maka distribusi data normal dan bila p value < 0,05 maka distribusi data tidak normal. Hasil analisis data mengetahui pengaruh diklat terhadap kompetensi kepala madrasah, terlihat bahwa selisih rata-rata kompetensi kepala madrasah angkatan IV dan V sebelum dan sesudah diberikan diklat sebesar 70,2000. Hasil uji Mann whitney menunjukkan bahwa p-value sebesar 0,000 < α (0,05). Disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh diklat terhadap kompetensi kepala madrasah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan motede pembelajaran dan strategi penguatan karakter anak didik melalui pendidikan Islam. Dari penelitian ini diungkapkan, bahwa sejak berdiri taman kanak-kanak ini konsisten menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam kepada anak didik sebagai pondasi penguatan karakter. Dengan metode pembelajaran Beyond Centers and Circle Time. Metode ini sangat relevan kebutuhan anak didik, yaitu dunia bermain, sehingga memperlancar proses pembelajaran. Sedangkan strategi penguatan karakter dilakukan melalui proses panjang dan berkesinambungan dalam menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam melalui pengenalan, pembiasaan dan keteladanan yang didukung kemampuan orangtua mendidik anak yang diperoleh melalui kegiatan parenting class. This study aims to reveal: 1) an overview of Mawaddah kindergarten, 2) the learning method of Mawaddah kindergarten and 3) the developing strategies to strengthen the character of the students through Islamic education. This study uses qualitative methods; the data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The results show that since Mawaddah kindergarten was established, it has been consistent in teaching the values of Islamic education in the belief that these values will become a solid foundation to strengthen students’ character. The “Beyond Centers and Circle Time” method, which is known as sentra method, appears to be very relevant to the needs of children—fun. The strategy of strengthening character does not stop there. It continues in the family with supports for parents’ ability to educate children through parenting classes. Strengthening character cannot be accomplished in an instant; it can only be accomplished through a long and continuous process using the values of Islamic education through introduction, habituation and positive examples.

AbstrakDalam dua tahun terakhir, Indonesia mengalami masalah yang sangat kompleks berhubungan demgan kekerasan yang terjadi di dalam masyarakat. Anak-anak atau remaha biasanya menjadi korban konflik dan kekerasan tersebut. Sayangnya, problem ini telah diasosiasikan dengan ajaran Islam sejak peristiwa bom Bali pada tahun 2001 dan 2002 yang melibatkan beberapa pesantren dan siswa muslim. “Peace Generation” (PG), yang didirikan di Bandung-Jawa Barat, telah mengembangkan program pendidikan perdamaian yang kreatif yang didasarkan kepada ajaran Islam. Komunitas ini telah mem­produksi beberapa seri modul yang disebut dengan “12 Nilai Perdamaian” yang diajarkan di sekolah Islam dan komunitas remaja lainnya. Selain itu, Peace Generation telah menciptakan beberapa program dalam rangka menyebarkan nilai-nilai dasar perdamaian. Respon dari beberapa siswa menunjukkan bahwa program ini telah diimplementasikan dengan sukses. Dengan demikian, kita bisa melihat bahwa Islam dapat memainkan peranan yang sangat penting dalam menyebarkan nilai-niali perdamaian jika kita mengembangkan ajaran Islam dengan cara yang kreatif.AbstractFor the two last decades, Indonesia has experienced a critical problem related to violence amongst its citizens. Children or young people usually become the victims of the conflict and violence. Unfortu­nately, this problem has been associated with Islamic teaching since the Bali Bombings in 2001 and 2002 involving some Pesantren (Islamic Schools) and Islamic students. “Peace Generation” (PG), founded in Bandung, West Java, has been developing a creative peace education program based on Islamic teaching. It has produced a unique series of modules, entitled “12 Basic Values of Peace,” which are taught in Islamic schools as well as youth communities. In addition, Peace Generation has created some great programs to disseminate Islamic values of peace. The responses of students show that this program has been successfully implemented. Therefore, we can see that Islam is able to play a significant role in spreading the values of peace if we develop Islamic teaching in creative ways.

Abstract

This article is aimed at studying the bias of the pesantren orientation, pesantren transformation and its implication on the institutional development of the pesantren. The findings give indication that this educational institution has, slowly but surely, been unable to realize its identity as the agent of social changes. At the same time, young generation who are graduates of both general and Islamic high schools and universities have begun to play a strategic role in the management and leadership of pesantren in particular and ummah in general. Therefore, it is essential for pesantren to understand the basic idea of modernization in education. With this knowledge, pesantren will be able to make some revision toward the ideal form of pesantren in the future.

Abstract

Pesantren as a system of education has reciprocity with the other system. pesantren education system changes seen in the pattern of adaptation which may range from a very gradual adaptation to change very responsive. the adaptation of changes that occur the question is whether the boarding school on the subject or object position. when included in the formal areas, mobility was still limited to boarding school graduates in the sector, the religious department, and then only limited, if compared with other education. for that, the next boarding schools not only prepare the formal sector is limited, but must meet the needs of the open in the informal sector such as public and private.

Abstract

AbstractThis writing is intended to review a formation model on religious student character for tahfidz at Mathali’ul Huda Boarding School, Kajen. This study is important since the implementation of character education at educational institution existing in Indonesia requires a good model, and boarding school is assessed able to become a good model in implementing the character education especially for a religious character. There are numerous schools unable to become a place to transfer knowledge and to form character of its student. This research includes type of onsite research using a verificative qualitative approach where the research is directly conducted at Mathali’ul Huda Boarding School by presenting theory to become a frame to analyze the research finding outcome. Data collection method used is carried out through interview, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, this research finds that there are five stages on the formation of the religious student of tahfidz at Mathali’ul Huda Boarding School, namely: 1. stage on religious character value knowledge; 2. stage on religious character value awareness; 3. stage on religious character implementation; 4. religious character habituation; fifth, stage on long life religious character preservation. AbstrakTulisan ini mengkaji tentang model pembentukan karakter religius santri tahfidz di Pondok Pesantren Mathali’ul Huda Pusat Kajen. Kajian ini penting, karena implementasi pendidikan karakter di lembaga pendidikan yang ada di Indonesia membutuhkan good model, dan pesantren dinilai mampu menjadi model yang baik dalam mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter khususnya karakter religius. Selama ini banyak sekolah belum mampu menjadi tempat untuk memindahkan pengetahuan sekaligus membentuk karakter peserta didiknya. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian lapangan yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif verifikatif, dimana peneliti terjun secara langsung di Pondok Pesantren Mathali’ul Huda dengan membawa teori yang dijadikan frame untuk menganalisa hasil temuan penelitian. Tekhnik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa ada lima tahapan pembentukan karakter religius santri tahfidz  di Pondok Pesantren Mathali’ul Huda Pusat, yaitu: 1. tahapan pengetahuan nilai karakter religius; 2. tahapan kesadaran nilai karakter religius; 3. tahapan pengamalan karakter religius; 4. tahapan pembiasaan karakter religius; kelima, tahapan penjagaan karakter religius sepanjang hayat.

Economic crisis which has ravaged Indonesia since 1997 has some cffects on the ability of parents in financingtheir children's education. The result is that the number of dropouts in each type and level of education has steadily increased. Another impact ofthe situation is theinvolzement ofso many school age children in various fields ofwork multingin their dropout. Abstract

Islamic school has a special education system and culture tradition. Today such system and tradition is faced to the challenging and the changing of the area. Pesantren education since the beginning is a tafaqquh fiddin institution in order to make the cadre of the ustadz, which is estimated, happened to the crisis in reproducing the ustadz. Such worry in the next is responded by the leader of Islamic school by establishing of Ma’had Aly. But, in its development, Ma’had Aly faced to some problems and building of since tradition. This article tries to place such Ma’had Aly.
