Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of teacher teaching skills madrasah diniyyah takmiliyyah through listening, playing and storytelling techniques abbreviated as MATA techniques. The research was conducted in October using Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method with a quantitative analysis model. The subjects of this study were madrasa teachers who were in 18 diniyyah takmiliyyah located in the Bandung regency region precisely in the Pangalengan sub-district of Lamajang village. The results of the study showed an increase in teacher understanding after using the MATA technique, which increased by an average of 78.9%, an increase of 23.3% from the initial ability on average at 49%. As for the constraints faced, for example teachers find it difficult to condition their children to stay focused, look for strategies so that children remain enthusiastic and enthusiastic in participating in the lesson, and mastery and application of MATA techniques is still not optimal. While the positive impact of the application of MATA techniques increases the activeness and creativity of teachers and is able to involve all students in learning. The advice recommended in this study is that other trainings should be held for teachers, then given examples of more learning practices in the form of books and training CDs so that they can be expanded again.

Data validity to test the validity of this study using data triangulation and triangulation methods. Data analysis techniques use an interactive analysis model. Data analysis was performed using  Miles and Huberman (1994) models, namely: (1) doing fable as research objects, (2) doing data reduction, (3) presenting data, (4) interpreting data obtained according to theory, and (5 ) produce conclusions. There are fourteen character education found: caring, respect, cooperation, helper, democracy, filial piety, humility, creativity, forgiveness, courage, discipline, hard work, honesty, and religion. Fable character education can be applied to the formation of early children's character with early child care and early childhood with children, namely: 1. Look at the child as a person; 2. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews and observations. Interviews and observations were made to look more deeply at learning and experiences applied by parents and the life side of children who memorized the Qur'an early on. The subjects of this study were parents from Hilya Qonita, the first winner of the 2013 RCTI Indonesia Hafidz Program. The results showed that early childhood was able to memorize the Al-Qur'an 30 juz when stimulated by parents from infancy even in the womb. Parents' role and role models greatly determine the success of children in memorizing the Qur'an. The results of this study provide a new perspective that the Al-Qur'an provides blessings for parents and children. Children who take precedence with the Qur'an are easier to acquire other sciences.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the effect of learning models and critical thinking skills on understanding physical science in group B aged 5-6 years. This research method is an experiment with 2x2 treatment by level design. The study sample consisted of 56 children. Collecting samples use the stratified multistage cluster random sampling technique. The data analysis technique was the analysis of two-way variance (ANAVA) and the Tukey test at a significant level ? = 0.05. To test the normality of the data using the liliefors test and homogeneity test using the barlett test. The results of this study indicate that 1) Understanding of children's physical science taught by quantum learning models is higher than the learning model of contextual teaching and learning. 2) There is an influence of the interaction between learning models and critical thinking skills on understanding physical science. 3) Understanding of children's physical science taught by quantum learning models which have high critical thinking skills is higher than children taught with contextual teaching and learning models and those who have high critical thinking skills. 4) Understanding of children's physical science taught by quantum learning models who have low critical thinking skills is lower than children taught with contextual teaching and learning models and those who have low critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research implemented some outdoor games, which can improve students’ number sense, through a quasi-experiment project with one group pretest-posttest design in a kindergarten class (4-5 years old) in Bantul district. The students were invited to participate actively in outdoor games. They can contribute directly to the outdoor games which can develop their competence in number using learner-centred method and supported by the teachers. The right outdoor games can be identified as a way to improve students’ sense in numbers. Many teachers can also shift their perspectives from the old class management they had.

Abstract

Children aged 5-6 years have four types of tasks in counting ability, which are to distinguish between bigger and smaller, calculations, number identification, and simple arithmetic. This study involved 22 children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten, Sleman, Special District, Yogyakarta. This study used the quasy experiment method by using the experimental class and control class by giving different treatments. Children who participated in using interactive learning media by using a computer called Kebun Buah media and tested whether they can count various kinds of fruit. The results of research showed that Kebun Buah media affected counting ability on children aged 5-6 years, the results of post-test counting ability of children in the experimental class using Kebun Buah media increased  to 88 in average while in the control class using a number card media obtained an average  78.9. This study was conducted by utilizing technology that can increase the implications of education in learning and improving counting ability of early childhood in the use of technological means in the classroom.

Abstract

Golden age is an investment for the future that is at the age of 2-7 years. This study, trains child development at the pre-operational stage of early childhood because children are still thinking realistic. To train early childhood development, this study uses insect-resistant media, which serves to introduce early childhood to surrounding insects. The research method used is the Pre Test Post Test Group Design. The subjects of this study were children of group B of Rafa PAUD in Bengkulu City. Data collection in this study is the initial test (pretest) and final test (posttest). From the results of the pretest of children's ability, there are still undeveloped children and the results of the post-test there are 7 well-developed children. The conclusion of this study is the use of insect-resistant media (insectarium) influences the preoperational thinking abilities of early childhood group B PAUD Bengkulu City
