Abstract

PT. X is a distributor of spare parts with 128 customers for Surabaya City and Sidoarjo City. Number of delivery vehicles owned by PT. X is 15. Determination of delivery route owned by PT. X is completed manually based on driver experience. This research is to make a model of determining the route with minimum cost by considering the travel time and the capacity of the vehicle. Model formation is accomplished in accordance with the PT X policy that each colleague can only be served by one vehicle and the maximum shipping time of 7 hours. The model formed is Heterogeneous Fleet Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows (HFVRPWTW). The settlement method used is Evolutionary Algorithm (EA) by reviewing 3 cases. The number of vehicles decreased by the model is  with an average difference of 1.67 vehicles. The shipping cost generated by the model is lower than the company for case 1 of 3,155 IDR and case 2 of 25,005 IDR. This condition indicates the model will use less number of vehicles with low shipping costs and large container utilities in 2 cases.

Abstract

In order to increase productivity required synergizing and balancing all components in the work system. The achievement of labor productivity through activity sustainable done at one manufacturing companies who produce capacitor. In the packing process is done manually using bending tools that cause fatigue 90-95% tired on the right foot and right hand, with the average reject 14% and only meet 66% output target. The purpose of this research is make a bending machine to increase the capacity process of packing, so it expected to decrease reject mechanical and indirectly decrease the work load operator. The design of the bending machine is done by testing the T-test statistic (paired T-test) against the mechanical reject by making the machine system semi-automatic with motor and engine control on the machine table design using the average height of the operator seat with the aim that the standard time can be faster, The human workload based on the man machine system may decrease.  The result of bending machine design shows that the standard time after design is increased from 1.52 seconds to 1.02 seconds so the average output increase from 16578 capacitors to 24705 capacitors. The reject mechanical fell significantly from the average total of 2210  to an average total of 446  and the man workload in this study decreased from 25.29 minutes to 6.23 minutes, so the production target could be met.

Abstract

Work related accident is a problem that needs to be considered seriously in Indonesia. The number of occupational accidents is increasing significantly from 96,314 in 2009 to 110,285 in 2015.  The mortality rate in these cases is very high. This research aims to develop a daily fitness for duty index as a measurement to ensure that workers are able to work effectively and safely. Systematic literature review had been carried out through several stages, i.e. 1) determination of searching strategy, and searching process, 2) determination of searching criteria, 3) quality control for literature, and 4) conclusion. The experiment involved four participants. They divided into two groups: night shift workers and morning shift workers. Total sleep time, heart rate at rest, reaction time, and body weight were recorded during the experiment. The daily fitness for duty index has been developed that consider sleep sufficiency factor, circadian cycle misalignment factor, and individual factor. The daily fitness for duty index has a strong correlation with subjective work readiness measurement. Therefore, it can be concluded that the daily fitness for duty index is trustworthy to measure fitness for duty.

Abstract

The quantity and quality of coal affects the efficiency of the generating unit, therefore the utilization of Transfer Conveyor 17A is very necessary to fulfill the fuel requirement (coal) of PT Indonesia Power Unit Generation Unit Suralaya. Transfer conveyor is an additional element in a conveyor belt circuit that serves to channel coal from unloading area until coal bunker (power plant). This study aims to find out the value of OEE Transfer Conveyor 17A which is used as the basis of proposed improvement based on the lowest value of the three parameters in OEE. The concept of research adopting OEE method with the value of quality is assumed 97,50% because the equipment that becomes the object of research does not produce the product. The result of calculation obtained by OEE value equal to 82,98% with ratio Availability 86,76% Performance Eficiency 98,09% and Rate of Quality  97,50%. A planned maintenance action is required to avoid unpredictable engine damage such as the operator checking the machine before it is operated, providing periodic training to operators and maintenance to improve their capabilities.

Abstract

Administrative Bureau of Academic and Student Affairs (BAAK) Tridinanti University of Palembang (UTP) is an institution that serves the academic administration and UTP student affairs. The approval of the KRS (Card Study Plan), the management of transcripts of grades, and the taking of diplomas are the requirements of the students at BAAK, so in the registration condition of the students, especially at the end of the registration period, there is a solid queue that the majority of the students need is the endorsement of KRS. One factor could be due to lack of servers (service personnel). The purpose of this study to determine the needs of the number of servers that should be used BAAK UTP using queue theory. The results showed that the condition of queue in solid condition, need to be added 1 server so that become 4 server, level of usage that is 79%.

Abstract

PT. LF Beauty Manufacturing Indonesia is a Hong Kong-based Li & Fung group of companies engaged in manufacturing services. The Company has 4 regular customers, namely: PT JHHP, PT.Diversey, PT.Topindo and PT.Wavin. During 2015 the company got 12 defect complaints which 8 complaints came from PT. JHHP. This study aims to determine the cause of disability complaints of PT JHHP, provide improvements to existing problems so that it does not occur in the future and as a measure of company productivity to improve production quality. This research method uses Six Sigma with DMAIC stages (Define Measure, Analyze, Improvement, Control). The object of research is the production data of August 2015 in accordance with customer complaints data. The result of analysis of JHPP customers complaint obtained the biggest defect of kiwi paste product according to the diagram is finish good leak. Factors affecting the defect complaints of the finish good leaked kiwi paste product is the operator often do autocapper engine wind adjusment, unavailability of space thermometer tool in the warehouse area and dry production area, unavailability of wind pressure gauge used to determine the number of bars used in the asemble process and the temperature of the storage area space exceed the standard set. Defect value decreased, before implementation of 3.497 DPMO with sigma level 4.20 to 568 DPMO with 4.75 sigma level

Abstract

Age and years of service are factors directly related to work productivity. Age and employment perceived by employees can decrease productivity or increase employee productivity. This research was conducted at PT. Oasis Water International Palembang Branch and aims to determine the influence of Age and Duration of employment on employee productivity. The number of sample is 27 respondents by using random sampling technique. Analysis method used is multiple linear regression method using SPSS aid which includes t test and F test. As independent variable (independent), that is age and work period, while dependent variable is work productivity. The result of data analysis showed that the variable of age and duration of work did not have a positive effect on work productivity, where the probability value of F test of significance value for the effect of age and work period simultaneously to productivity was 0.355 > 0.05 and F value count 1.083

Abstract

Public satisfaction can be achieved if the government apparatus directly involved in the service, can understand and appreciate and wish to perform excellent service. This study aims to identify the level of public satisfaction with the performance of Members of the House of Representatives Commission III, to determine the priority of expectations or public desires on the quality of service absorption aspirations of members of Parliament with Servqual method and improve the quality of absorption services by QFD method. This study, using questionnaires, interviews, and observations in data collection. Research respondents are citizens who have filed complaints totaling 100 people. The survey results are processed by using validity and reliability test, analysis of Importance-Performance Analyze (IPA), Servqual, and QFD. The results showed that the community was not satisfied with the performance of members of the House of Representatives with a gap of 0.84. The priority of improvement based on the IPA diagram is the level of professionalism in solving aspirations, the level of responsibility for the expectation of society aspirations, the level of fairness in the aspiration settlement, the level of aspiration service speed, the accuracy of responding to aspirations according to the problem, the timeliness of completing aspirations and the level of responsiveness to resolve aspirations. Increasing the quality of absorption services by QFD method can be done by increasing commitment, discipline, skilled human resources, coordination and synergy and policy improvement that is more concerned with the interests of the community.

Abstract

At this time Krebo Jantan Restaurant has plans to conduct business development in the field of food. Krebo Jantan Restaurant has a problem as to whether its business development plan can provide feasibility for future growth of the company. The purpose of this study is to determine the possibility of the business plan for the development of food business with the limits of research on the assessment of financial aspects. Primary data collection is done through field observation, interview and questionnaire filling. Objects in interviews and surveys are business owners and residents around the place of business. Secondary data are obtained from literature studies. Data were analyzed by using Payback Period (PBP) method, Present Net Value (NPV) method, and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) Method. The result of the research shows the ability of the company to return all investment cost is for four years eight months. Cash funds collected from year to year if assessed at present with a positive value at the end of year 5 (five) and the ability of the companys business to provide annual average return/dividend amounted to 20.494%. Based on the results of financial analysis shows that all economic feasibility criteria are met so that the development of business feasible to be carried out under standard conditions,

Abstract

This research have objective to determine the application of procedures, mismatches work processes and maintenance of machinery repair and analyze the causes of motor engine damage in the PDAM Tirta Pakuan Bogor City. The data used in this research are primary and secondary data. Primary data obtained through observations and interviews to the parties concerned in the mechanical and electrical parts. Secondary data in the form of data SOP maintenance and repair machine from company. Descriptive, comprative, and evaluative methods are used to analyze the actual condition and working procedures of maintenance and repair of machinery and to compare between the results obtained from this research on the implementation of the maintenance work process and the repair of machines there are still stages that are not executed according to the procedure. Using the Fishbone Diagram method, the most dominant type of damage occurring in the motorizer engine is a burning roll with a contribution rate of 53.125%. Using Pareto Diagram, this analysis can provide information for the company to pay more attention to the maintenance and repair activities of the machine so that the work process activities in the mechanical and electrical section run well and smoothly.
