Abstract

The scholar crimes cause the goverments’ concern about it. The scholar brawl, the drugs abuse, promiscuity, and many other become the main reason of the importance of character building in the college/ university which appropriates to the governors’ mandate. The Basic concept of science is a skill course of the scholar of elementary school teacher which can be used as a media of character building through the development of teaching material. It is arranged by using the Al Qur’an, science and the character (ALSAK) approach is a concept notion of character building through the college. The ALSAK approach is a learning which involves the student actively and makes the Al Qur’an as a learning resource of science. The learning resources are conducted by presenting the Al Qur’an verses which relate to the concept of science. The packaging of the learning resource of science which relates to the Al Qur’an verses is expected can improve the spiritual and scientific attitude so it can strengthen the scholars’ character. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the use of schoology e-learning as one of the supporting media towards students’ learning motivation enhancement and students’ opinion about the use of schoology e-learning. This research uses the qualitative descriptive as methods. Sampling was done with non-random sampling of 30 students from the STKIP Surya. Data were collected using a questionnaire, observation sheet, interview, and documentation which were analyzed descriptively. Data collected as much as twice to get more accurate result. The first data set is used to provide with a temporary conclusion, verification data conducted in the second data collecting. If data obtained on both have conformity, it can be made into final conclusion. The study uses blended learning model that integrates between traditional face to face instruction and e-learning.  The result of the study found that: 1) Percentage of Likert Scale overall from the first and second data collection result got the same category i.e 77.30% and 79.05% with very high category which means the students were motivated using schoology e-learning, 2) The result of observation sheet in the first and the second data collecting got the same result that most student were happy to learn using  schoology e-learning,3) The result of interview between the two were the same that means most students were motivated by learning using schoology e-learning because of its easyness, friendly look, and challenging way of doing the task. Keywords: schoology e-learning, descriptive qualitative method, blended learning, students’ learning motivation

Abstract

The development of technology-based learning today is growing rapidly, the use of which combines the computer with the network is a growing up. One of them is e-Learning. By combining the use of eLearning with Problem Based Learning model and motivation is expected to be effective in improving learning student’s outcomes of circulatory material. Learning is not merely media or model, but motivation has an effect on learning. This research was conducted to measure the effect of PBL model applied with e-Learning and motivation to student outcomes. The method of research is Quasi Experiment with Two Way Anova Design. This study was conducted at SMPK St. Paulus Jakarta in May-June 2017. The data showed normal and homogeneous values (p> 0.05) with a sample size of 30 people. Result of research using two way anova test got data that p value = 0.000, mean p <0.05 (reject H0). The conclusion is that (1) there is influence of PBL model by using e-Learning to student outcomes, (2) there is influence of motivation to student outcomes, and (3) there is interaction between PBL using e-Learning and motivation to student outcomes.Keywords: e-Learning, motivation, problem based learning, student learning out comes

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to increase creativity of the future physicsteachersthrough General Biology learning based on CTL with experimental method. The type of research used in this study was classroom action research (CAR) through 4cycles of activity. Cycle I shown that on the achievement of creativity, the lowest indicator was in formulating question (59.21%), and the highest indicator was in formulating conclusion (76.32%) while the average of indicators’ achievement was 71,71% in which the target of 75% of performance indicator were failed to reach.Cycle II shownthat the lowest achievement indicator wasin applying the principle, that is 63,16% and the highest achievement indicator is in formulating conclusion, that is 78,95% while the average achievement of critical thinking skill of cycle II equal to 71,21%. Physics future teachers creativity were improved into 8.55% from pre-cycle I to cycle I while from cycle I to cycle II improved into 6.14%. The result of cognitive learning shown that of cycle II was obtained the mean value of cycle II which equal to 76,82. The percentage of the learners who had reached the target of learning mastery was 77.14%. The average of cognitive learning achievement of Physics future teachers was improved from pre cycle to cycle I into 10.54 while from cycle I to cycle II was improved into 3.2. The resultsshows that CTL experimental method can improve the creativity of the future physics teacher of IAIN Palangka. Keywords: CTL, creativity, experimental method

Abstract

The purpose of research (1) Investigate the effect of guided Inquiry learning toward student learning result (2) Investigate the effect scientific performance to the student learning result (3) Investigate the interaction the guided Inquiry model and learning scientific performance toward the student learning result in sistem Excretion material. The research subjeck were 60 student of XI IPA 1 and 2 of SMAN 10 Pandeglang. Taken by simple random sampling. The data were analyzed by two tailed ANOVA test. Before the hypothesis was tested, normality and homogeneity test were done, the method that used in this research is quasi experiment with 2 x 2 factorial design. Based on the analyzed data, the highest score of the student learning result in experiment and control group were 90 and 85 with the means were 82 and 72. It can be concluded that: (1) there is significant influence of guided Inquiry learning the student learning result (2) there is significant influence of scientific performance to the student learning result (3) there is an interaction between guided Inquiry learning model and scientific performance toward the student learning result in Excretion system material. Based on the conclusions, it is suggested that the teacher’s ability is encouraged to dig deeper the student’s potential and performance. Abstract

The scientific approach is strongly suggested to be used in implementing “Curriculum of 2013” (K13) by Department of Education. This study aimed to identify whether integrated science learning was implemented in Junior High Schools in the Semarang Regency, Indonesia used a scientific approach, how it was implemented, and what problems that emerged in it. This research was conducted in 13 Junior High Schools in Semarang Regency, Central Java Province that implemented K13 during the odd semester in 2016/2017 school year by interviewing the science teachers in each school to determine how scientific approach was implemented in their schools. Based on the interview results analyzed using qualitative description methods, K13 was implemented, teachers used a scientific approach to teach science subject in their classes, and they integrated science materials in the curriculum. However, not all of the science materials were able to be integrated and taught using scientific approach because the teachers’ educational background is not from science education. Furthermore, the availability of the teachers and students books, the laboratory facilities, and funds were very limited. Many solutions such as using various learning models were done, but they were not be able to maximize the learning even though the students were active and enthusiastic in learning. Therefore, the teachers really need real supports to enhance their learning using scientific approach.Keywords: integrated science learning, scientific approach, curriculum of 2013, junior high school

Abstract

Developing study in 21 century, the students must have a good skill which can support in developing era. One of the skills is critical thinking. The students must have the competence which can solve the problem faced it for instance environment pollution problem. The problem is one of parts from Biology with collaboration study model  of SQ3R that has superior for cooperation between  inactive and active students , the hope can give big contribute for the students can solve the problem. The Quasi experiment uses Anava two direction (2x2) Factorial. The research is done at SMAN 1 N Tambun Utara on September-October 2017. Data of the result research shows normal point and homogeny (P> 0,05) with sample 140.. The result of research uses the Anava experiment two direction can be gotten P = 0,000 ,it means P < 0,05 (reject Ho). So the summary (1) There can be the effect of the study model of SQ3R to The result of study. (2) There can be the effect of critical thinking to the result of study. Abstract

The modern era as now the needs of electricity is enormous. This makes the supply of non-renewable resources dwindling (coal and natural gas). This makes the emergence of smart ideas and innovations by using alternative energy. By using alternative energy we can save the use of non-renewable resources and can create energy efficient environmentally friendly. This study aims to analyze the output power in DC motors by using variations in the number and diameters of the outer coils in order to produce maximum output power value. The research method used is the design and manufacture of tools and experiments by conducting a descriptive research approach. The results of the test using different diameter variations of wire are 0.15 mm, 0.20 mm and 0.25 mm. The voltage test obtained voltage of 0.40 V for wire diameter 0.15 mm, 0.46 V for wire diameter 0.20 mm, and 0.52 V for 0.25 mm wire diameter. Simultaneous current and voltage gain can further improve the efficiency.  Keywords: dc generator, magnet, coil

Abstract

The research is to know the relationship between achievement motivation (X1), and reading comprehension ability (X2) with science literacy ability of high school students (Y). The data is all students of class X SMA Negeri 9 Jakarta. Based on data analysis can be known coefficient correlation between X1 with Y is 0,326 correlation coefficient between X2 with Y is 0,392 and correlation coefficient between X2and X1with Y is  0,601. The motivation of pace, and the ability to read the students understanding contribute 36,1% to the literacy ability of high school students. Keywords: Achievement motivation, critical thinking, reading comprehension, science literacy

Abstract

Desire to apply knowledge gained in school is the characteristic of high school students. These characteristic actually has been accommodated into 2013 curriculum. However, low interest of high school students to study chemistry was still found. Various learning methods have been developed to improve learning interest in the classroom. The effort to increase students interest in chemistry can also be done outside the classroom. In this paper will be presented a theoretical study of joyful learning real world chemistry through VAKSIN strategy during school break. The strategy will be given in two ways, through science camps or excursion. Materials to be provided during the science camp are making green chemistry paint, exploration of cat litters, and simulations of waste water purification. Excursion can go into two places, the industry or university.
