Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memetakan penguasaan kemampuan berpikir analitis dan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa calon guru fisika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa calon guru fisika STKIP Al Hikmah Surabaya. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan kemampuan berpikir analitis dan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa calon guru fisika STKIP Al Hikmah Surabaya terbagi dalam tiga level yaitu level tinggi sebanyak 33%, level sedang sebanyak 50%, dan level rendah sebanyak 17%. Penguasaan keterampilan berpikir untuk masing-masing kriteria adalah satu kriteria berada pada kategori tinggi, dua kriteria berada pada kategori sedang, dan satu kriteria berada pada kategori rendah.   Kata Kunci:  kemampuan berpikir analitis, keterampilan proses sains, mahasiswa calon guru fisika.

Abstract

FLAPPED BOOK DEVELOPMENT FOR GRADE V SCIENCE LEARNING Abstract The aims of this study are: 1) to develop an instructional media on the function of human digestive organs and its relation with food and health topic for grade V students, and 2) to know the characteristics, and 3) to develop the Fllaped Book that meet the valid and practical criteria. This research used ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) model. The data of this study were obtained from media expert judgement questionnaire, science subject matter expert judgement questionnaire, teacher response questionnaire, and student response questionnaire. The result of analysis from media expert judgement is 91.75% with very feasible category, subject matter expert judgemnet at 91%  with very feasible category , teacher response questionnaire at 96% with very feasible category and student response questionnaire at 98% with very feasible category. So it indicates that the Flapped Book is 1) able to facilitate the students in understanding the topic and 2) can be use as the instructional media of science learning on the functions of human digestive organs topic for grade V students. Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in understanding of the concept and effectiveness of the use of Joyful learning model by taking into account the Noting Domain Problem. This research is a quantitative research using quasi experimental design. The research sample is class VIII D using joyful learning model, and class VIII E using conventional model, which is chosen by purposive sampling. Technique that use for collecting understanding data is using written test, observation, and documentation. Hypothesis test using independent sample t test. The results showed that the use of Joyful learning model with attention to domain problems experienced show a significant increase and more effective than the conventional model of concept understanding. Joyful learning model effective approve of 0,04 < 0,05 (significant level 0.05) concluded that Joyful learning model is more effective than conventional learning model.

Abstract

Salah satu kesulitan dalam pembelajaran fisika adalah sedikitnya alat peraga atau praktikum yang mampu menggambarkan secara nyata fenomena fisis. Topik tersebut misalnya medan listrik dan medan magnet, khususnya pada topik selektor kecepatan pada spektrometer. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan simulasi komputer untuk pembelajaran Fisika pada topik gerak partikel dalam selektor kecepatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan sikuensial linier. Model pengembangan perangkat ini dipilih karena sangat mudah diaplikasikan, serta dapat dengan mudah dilakukan verifikasi dan testing pada setiap tahapnya. Pengembangan ini menggunakan perangkat lunak Microsoft VBA Excel. Metode numerik yang dipilih adalah metode numerik Euler dengan menyelesaikan secara numerik persamaan differensial orde dua persamaan gerak partikel tersebut. Hasil pengembangan simulasi ini didapatkan tingkat kesalahan setiap titik pada metode numerik dan analitik rata-rata yaitu sebesar 0.52 %. Hasil validasi simulasi tersebut mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 3,38 yang berdasarkan referensi nilai tersebut tergolong layak, sehingga pengembangan simulasi ini dapat disimpulkan memiliki arti fisis gerak partikel dalam selektor kecepatan.   Design of Computer Simulation for Physics Learning on Velocity  Selector Topic Using Euler Numerical Method One of the difficulties in learning physics is the less of teaching media or practicums that able to describe phenomena on the electric and magnetizm topic clearly. For example the topic is electric and magnetic field, particularly velocity selector in spectrometer. The aim of this research is to develop simulation for physics learning in this topic is expected as a solution. This research use sequential linear model development. The advantage of this model is simple to understand, each phase has specific deliverables and a review process. We use Microsoft VBA Excel to develop simulation. The Euler numerical method is used to solve the second-order differential equations of the particle’s motion. The error rate of each point in the numerical and analytical method is calculated and results the average error rate 0.52%. Validation result of this simulation gets an average score 3.38. Based on the reference, that score is concidered to be reasonable, so the development of this simulation can be concluded as a good physical interpretation.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di era modern ini sudah banyak menggunakan teknologi dalam membantu guru dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melakukan analisis kebutuhan dan melihat peran guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran IPA dan lingkungan. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yaitu dengan cara melakukan analisis kebutuhan. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2017 - Maret 2018. Tempat penelitian yaitu di  SDN Jatimulya 02, SDN Jatimulya 07, SMPN 1 Tambun Selatan, dan SMAN 5 Tambun Selatan, Bekasi, Jawa Barat. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa media pembelajaran yang digunakan belum variatif. Guru belum berperan besar dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran. Hal ini membuat inovasi media pembelajaran mutlak dilakukan. Kesimpulannya adalah bahwa media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran IPA dan lingkungan di Tambun Selatan, masih perlu dikembangkan.   Natural Science and Environmental Learning: Need Assessment of Learning Media at School In Tambun Selatan, Bekasi Learning in this modern era has used a lot of technology in helping teachers in learning. The purpose of this study is to conduct a need assessment and see the role of the teacher in developing science learning media and the environment. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method that is by way of need assessment by conducting interviews and direct observation. SDN Jatimulya 02, SDN Jatimulya 07, SMPN 1 Tambun Selatan, dan SMAN 5 Tambun Selatan Bekasi, West Java. Research results show that learning media usage is not varied. This makes learning media innovation absolutely necessary. The conclusion is that the learning media used by teachers in science learning and the environment in South Tambun Subdistrict, Bekasi, West Java, still need more development in order to be more diverse.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada materi konsep energi  dan sumber energi guna meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas VII SMP, 2) mendeskripsikan kualitas LKS berbasis PjBL yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan 4D. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen penilaian untuk beberapa reviewer. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitas LKS. Berdasarkan penilaian dosen ahli, peer reviewer, dan guru IPA diperoleh skor rata-rata 141,9 dengan persentase keidealan 81,1% menyatakan bahwa kualitas LKS Sangat Baik. Hasil tanggapan siswa diperoleh skor rata-rata 75 dengan persentase keidealan 88,2% menyatakan bahwa kualitas LKS Sangat Baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Developing The Student’s Worksheet Based on Project Based Learning to Improve Student Science Process Skills on Junior High School Abstract This research was aimed to: 1) produced a student’s worksheet based on project based learning on concept of energy and energy resources material to improve he student’s science process skills in seven grade of Junior High School, 2) described the quality of student’s worksheet based on project based learning was developed. This research is include research and development with 4D models. Data collection technique used  assessment instrument for reviewers. Data analysis technique used analysis quality of student’s worksheet. According to assessment of expert lecturer, peer reviewer, and natural science teacher got an average score of 141,9 with ideal presentage of 81,1% stated that the quality of student’s worksheet was very good. The result of students respons got an average score of 75 with ideal percentage of 88,2% stated that the quality of student’s worksheet was very good. In conclusion that the student’s worksheet had been developed was feasible to implement on the lesson.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan efektivitas pembelajaran IPA berbasis empat pilar pendidikan yaitu learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together, and learning to be terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP kelas VIII pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengentahuan Alam tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Desain penelitian quasi-experiment bentuk Nonequivalent control-group design, dengan mengambil pretes sebelum diberi perlakuan kemudian dilakukan postes. Dari hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (p-value) dengan ANCOVA adalah 0,026. Karena nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05 maka terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara peserta didik yang menggunakan pembelajaran IPA berbasis empat pilar pendidikan dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan pembelajaran secara konvensional. Data hasil analisis efektivitas didapatkan nilai probabilitas (Sig.) 0,000< 0,05 artinya pembelajaran IPA berbasis empat pilar pendidikan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. The Effect of Four Pillars Education in Science Learning to the Critical Thinking Ability Abstract  The purpose of the research to determine the effect and effectiveness of the four pillars of education in science learning (learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together, and learning to be) to the critical thinking ability. This research was conducted in the eighth grade junior high school in the subject of Natural Science of the academic year 2017/2018.  By using a quasi-experimental research design in the Nonequivalent control-group design form, by taking pretest before being treated then post tes. Based on the research data the significance value (p-value) with ANCOVA is 0.026. Because the significance value is less than 0.05, there is a significant influence between students who use science learning based on the four pillars of education with students who use conventional learning. The results of the effectiveness data analysis obtained the probability value (Sig.) 0,000 <0,05 which means that science learning based on four pillars of education is effective in improving student’s critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas peserta didik setelah mengikuti proses pembelajaran dengan scientific approach. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Objek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik sekolah dasar yang menjadi sasaran implementasi Kurikulum 2013 yang ada di lingkungan Dinas Pendidikan Kota Sukabumi. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik sampling purposive. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018 (Januari 2018 s/d Juli 2018). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan antara lain: wawancara dan observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar peserta didik dalam kegiatan mengamati (observing) mencapai 98,44%, menanya (questioning) mencapai 87,50%, mengumpulkan informasi/eksperimen (experimenting) mencapai 59,62%, mengasosiasikan/mengolah informasi (associating) mencapai 87,50%, dan mengkomunikasikan (communicating) mencapai 62,50%. Secara rata-rata keseluruhan aktivitas peserta didik dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar dengan scientific approach tercapai 76,60% dengan kategori Baik. Oleh karena itu, aktivitas peserta didik harus lebih dikembangkan lagi dalam setiap tahapan scientific approach selama proses pembelajaran. Analysis of Student Activities in Learning Based on Scientific Approach in Primary School as Implementation 21st Century Skills Abstract The objective of this study is to explain the mapping of students activities after following the learning process with the scientific approach. The method of this study was descriptive analytic research methods with a qualitative approach. The object of this study was elementary school students who were the target of the 2013 curriculum implementation in the Sukabumi City Education Office. The sampling technique using purposive sampling technique. The time of the research was conducted in the even semester of 2017/2018 school year (January 2018 until July 2018). The data collection techniques used include: interviews and observations. The data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis techniques The results of this study showed that students' learning activities in observing activities reached 98.44%, questioning reached 87.50%, experimenting reached 59.62%, associating reached 87.50%, and communicating reached 62.50%. On average, the overall students activities in following the learning process in elementary schools with the scientific approach reached 76.60% with the Good category. Thus students activities must be further developed in each scientific approach during the learning process.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) mengetahui mengenai persepsi siswa tentang kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam meningkatkan keterampilan analitik pada proses pembelajaran IPA-Terpadu 2) mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar siswa terhadap peningkatan keterampilan analitik pada proses pembelajaran IPA-Terpadu 3) mengetahui persepsi siswa mengenai kompetensi pedagogik guru dan motivasi belajar siswa dapat mempengaruhi keterampilan berpikir analitik pada proses pembelajaran IPA-Terpadu secara bersama-sama. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian survey. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data adalah observasi dan angket untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh antar variabel persepsi siswa mengenai pedagogik guru dan motivasi belajar siswa serta soal hasil belajar ulangan akhir semester genap tahun ajaran 2016/2017 untuk mengetahui keterampilan berpikir  analitik. Untuk menguji hipotesis maka terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji deskripsi data agar memperoleh gambaran umum data penelitian, selanjutnya peneliti melanjutkan uji-t dalam menguji hipotesis data. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu 1) Motivasi belajar siswa tidak berpengaruh langsung dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir analitik pada proses pembelajaran IPA-Terpadu 2) Persepsi siswa tentang kompetensi pedagogik guru berpengaruh langsung dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir analitik pada proses pembelajaran IPA-Terpadu 3) Antara apersepsi siswa tentang kompetensi pedagogik guru dengan motivasi belajar siswa tidak saling mempengaruhi secara bersama-sama dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikiran alitik pada proses pembelajaran IPA-Terpadu. Student Perception Toward Pedagogic Competence of Teachers and Learning Motivation in Improving Analytical Thinking Skills Abstract The aims of this study are 1) to observe the students' perceptions about pedagogic competence of teachers in improving the ability of analytic skills in the process of learning IPA-Terpadu 2) To observe the student learning motivation can affect the improvement of analytical skills in the process of learning IPA-Terpadu. 3) to know the students 'perceptions toward pedagogical competence of teachers and students' learning motivation can affect the ability of analytical thinking skills in a process of learning IPA-Terpadu together. This research is survey research. Technique used in data retrieval is by observation and giving questionnaire that is made to know how big influence between student perception variable about teacher pedagogic and student's learning motivation and study result of final repeat semester of academic year 2016/2017 to know the ability of analytic thinking skill. To test the hypothesis, the researcher first test the data descriptions in order to obtain a general description of the research data, then the researcher continued the t-test in testing the data hypothesis. The results of the research are 1) Student learning motivation has no direct effect in improving the ability of analytic thinking skill in IPA-Integrated learning process 2) Student perceptions about teachers' pedagogical competence have a direct effect on improving analytic thinking skills in IPA-Integrated learning process 3) Between students' perceptions about the pedagogic competence of teachers with student learning motivation does not mutually influence each other in improving the ability of analytic thinking skills in the process of learning IPA-Terpadu.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether learning using the Project Based Learning model can improve student learning outcomes in chemistry lessons with the subject matter of the nature of Chemistry, and to determine the magnitude of the increase. Classroom Action Research is carried out in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of stages of planning, action, observation, reflection. The variables used are improvement in learning outcomes including cognitive, and psychomotor values. The instruments used were pretest-posttest, portfolio, observation sheet, and questionnaire questionnaire. Data were analyzed qualitatively descriptive. From the results of the study obtained a picture of students who reached KKM cognitive value as much as 97% with an average value of 82, students who achieved KKM psychomotor value as much as 100% with an average value of 91. There was an increase in the success of teachers in applying the PjBL learning model in the first cycle of 88%, increasing in the second cycle by 97%. The increase in the average activity of students in the first cycle was 82%, increasing in the second cycle by 93%. The average interest of students also increases in the first cycle by 84%, increasing in the second cycle by 92%. Observation of the application of PjBL as a whole shows a very good value of 95. Based on the results of the analysis of the data shows that learning using the Project Based Learning model can improve student learning outcomes of the subject matter of the nature of chemistry. The Project Based Learning learning model is inspiring in developing creative, collaborative and contextual learning methods.   Keywords: Project Based Learning; Improving Learning Outcomes; The Nature of Chemistry
