Abstract

Biodiversity of Indonesia is worldwide known. One of those is bird biodiversity. The native utilize birds as a pet. It is because birds have a beautiful color and voice. Therefore, Rare birds is likely to be hunted to get their aesthetic value. Raden intan Islamic ngy (UIN RIL) were a part of city forest. Trees and scrub were considered as bird habitat. The aim of this research is to identify birds in UINRIL campus, gruping the bird based on their exctinction.This research was done in five station each three times. The method is point count. All data were collected at 06.00-09.00 and 15.00-18.00 WIB. Data were analyzing using deskriptif quantitative approach. Diversity index (H’) for all station is 1.166-2.351. Diversity average at all station were(H’) 2,023. This research had success write 24 species of birds from 16 famili. Three of them were under government surveillance pp no. 7 year 1999. They are cekakak sungai (Todirhamphus chloris), madu sriganti (Nectarinia jugularis), and madu kelapa (Anthreptes malacensis).

Abstract

Ferns are indicated could become polyploid organism due to altitude effect. In this research, the distribution of ploidy level on AdiantumdiaphanumBlume based on difference altitude was studied. This study was a survey research conducted in Probolinggo Regency which aims studying the effect of altitude on ploidy level in A. diaphanumBlume. Leces (50 masl), Lumbang (460 masl), and Sukapura (820 masl) were the tree research sampling areas that represent low, medium, and highland location, respectively. The determination of ploidy level was conducted by counting the chromosome number of cells root tips. The results showed that all ferns found in the medium and lowland were diploid organisms, whereas all ferns found in the highlands were triploid organism.

Abstract

The tuber of cyperus rotundus are used to tradisional medicine. C. rotundus known to contain compounds of secondary metabolites such as alkoloids, sineol, pinene, siperon, rotunal, siperenon, siperol, tannins, flavonoids and scientifically it has been believed to have antimicrobial activity. Empirically this plant are used as an antibacterial, antitumor, anticancer, and antiallergic. The purpose of this study were determining the inhibition of extract of Cyperus rotundus against tubers of Staphylococcus epidermidis and Propionibacterium acnes. In this study C. rotundus extracted by maceration using 70% ethanol. The extracts tested against S. epidermidis and P. acnes using disc blank method. The results obtained from the mean diameter of the inhibition zones of exstract at concentrations of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100% on S. Epidermidis 8.03 mm, 11.43 mm, 15.04 mm, 15.83 mm and 19.98 mm respectively and P. acnes 11.59 mm, 13.35 mm, 17.17 mm, 20.44 mm, and 30.08 mm respectively Aquades used as negative control and erythromycin used as positive control. Testing were continued by determining the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC). The result of MIC for S. epidermidis was 15% and P. acnes was 11%. The analysis showed that the antibacterial activity of the tubers extract is bacteriostatic for S. epdermidis and bacterisid for P. acnes.

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini bertujuan : 1. Untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan berpikir kritis Materi Pertumbuhan dan Perkembangan pada siswa kelas XII IPA 1 MAN 2  Sragen melalui metode inkuiri dalam kelompok kooperatif.2.Untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar pada materi Pertumbuhan dan Perkembangan pada siswa klas XII IPA 1 MAN 2  Sragen melalui metode inkuiri dalam kelompok kooperatif. Penilitian Tindakan Kelas ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart dalam Mcniff (1992) bahwa penelitian tindakan sebagai tindakan berkelanjutan dari langkah-langkah yang berbentuk spiral, setiap langkah berisi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan dan evaluasi, observasi dan refleksi tindakan. Pelaksanaan penelitian tindakan berupa proses pengkajian berdaur (action research spiral) yang terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu; perencanaan (plan), melakukan tindakan (act), mengamati (observe), mengevaluasi dan merefleksi (reflect). Data hasil penelitian yang diambil meliputi nilai pengetahuan pada tes formatif dan nilai berpikir kritis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa : 1. Pembelajaran dengan kooperatif model Inkuiri dalam Kelompok Kooperatif memiliki dampak positif dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa yang ditandai dengan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar siswa dalam setiap siklus, yaitu siklus I (65,38%), siklus II (76,92%), siklus III (88,46%).2. Penerapan metode pembelajaran kooperatif model Inkuiri dalam Kelompok Kooperatif mempunyai pengaruh positif, yaitu dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa yang ditunjukan dengan rata-rata jawaban siswa yang menyatakan bahwa siswa tertarik dan berminat dengn metode pembelajaran kooperatif model Inkuiri dalam Kelompok Kooperatif sehingga mereka menjadi termotivasi untuk belajar.
