Abstract

Research activities have been carried out with the title "Model Cooperative Jigsaw Technique on learning science in class V Elementary School In Inderalaya, methods used method of purposive sampling experiment. Samples taken are the entire population of all students in grade V Elementary School (SD) 6.11 and 23.Sampel Affairs consists of the class as a class VA VB Controls and Class as a class experiment. Treatment of model Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Techniques. The results showed that the average post-test is higher than the students who were given experimental class V model of Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Techniques in Class V in the form of control. The average value of post-tests on the Elementary School 6 for the control class that is 72.8 and the experimental class 84.41. At SD State 11, with the average value of post-test control class is 75.53 and the 89.66 experimental class, while at the Elementary School 23 the average values obtained post test control class is 73.12 and the experimental class 82, 07. Analysis of data using t test, with a value Thit> TTable (1.66), respectively 17.86; 19.29; dan18, 79. This indicates that the Cooperative technique is very effective and meaningful Jigsaw to increase student learning outcomes science class V.

Abstract

This research is aim to multi-year research grant competition entering its second year. In a study expected to find a development model in the form of Computer Assisted Learning Instructional (CAI) which can be used as a tool in learning Electronics Analog Electronics for UNM Students, which one of its products in the form of media and multimedia-based learning laboratory in the form compact Virtual Disk (CD ) programs that are interactive. In order to achieve these objectives, researchers used the stage at the Development Research which includes phases: analysis, design education, design software, teaching materials and learning design, development, implementation and assessment. Results Analysis and Design of computer-based learning models in the first phase produced a prototype device multimedia computer-based learning technologies are built using Macromedia Flash software and collaborated with software electronics Bench Work (EWB). Produce devices that are interactive learning. Device specifications of multimedia computer-based learning technologies are among others: (1) provides a virtual laboratory facilities, (2) provide instrumental music facilities, (3) has a video tutorial lab; (4) has job sheet practicum and (5) a description of the study, (6) propel writer, and (7) instructions for use. The study has tested the feasibility developed as a medium of learning aids in student learning.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether Cooperative Learning Model and the use of peer teaching can increase student competence in JPOK FKIP UNS in Anatomy subject at myologi material. The method used is a Quasi Experiment with Pretest-posttest Non-equivalent Control Group design. The research subjects were 60 students, consisting of students that participating in Anatomy II lesson, who have not obtained a minimum score of 60 on the first test of competence in KD-2. The data collected is of primary data, a competency test results, both the first basic competency test and first and second retest. Data collected through the test. Written test used is the faculty-made tests, objective forms, consisting two sets of questions are equally weighted each of 20 items that have been tested about validity and reliability.  The validity is content validity and reliability is obtained through parallel tests (equivalence coefficient) are each set are: 0.89, and 0.85. The data analysis results showed that increased student learning result, showed by the increasing number of students who get score at least 60 on the competency test (UK). In the UK KD-2 who get score 60 are 80 students, after Birthday Competency Test-1 KD-2120 people, and after-second retest competency 130 students. So that has not been completed in the KD-2 is 10 students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the competence of students through application of integrated learning model with student recap on social studies in First Muhammadiyah Junior High School of Surakarta. This research is a class action research. The subject of this study was social studies teacher of First Muhammadiyah Junior High School of Surakarta and students of class 9A. Data collection techniques in the study were: observation, questionnaires and tests. Analysis technique used is the comparative analysis technique, quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. The research was carried out for 2 cycles. Implementation of IPS learning based integrated learning alongside student learning recap conducted for two cycles. The first indicator in this study is the implementation of IPS learning based on integrated learning seen in cycle II. In the cycle II, IPS teachers are able to apply learning based integrated learning by choosing the theme “towards globalization”. This theme can be used to explain the basic economic competence, sociology and geography by selecting the indicator from each basic competency that are potentially able to be integrated into the theme of “towards globalization”. Unlike the cycle I, the teacher carry out learning IPS with the theme of World War II was too broad. An explanation of the World War II that associated with sociology and geography matter less focused. Students are required to master the material and historical facts that a lot with in relatively short time. Based on the student records or the student recap that collected in groups, students are very creative as well as in cycle I. On the cycle I and cycle II, the student can demonstrate the relationship of matter in terms of history, geography and sociology. Student involvement in classroom discussions is active, as well as student involvement at the presentation. Student involvement at presentation appears to be evenly distributed, that discussion is not dominated by a particular student. The teacher efforts for an interactive discussion are by pointing out those clever students at random, each group must provide a response or argument. Teachers do this in order to train students to express his opinions. The level of student satisfaction on learning social studies in the cycle II showed that 33 students (82,50%) gave a high response, 7 students (17,50%) gave medium respond. No student who gave a low response. Based on the results of the evaluation related to the theme of globalization in the cycle II known that students who scored above 70 were 37 students (92,5%) and 3 students (7,5%) scored below 70 but above the KKM. In the cycle II, all of students of class 9A have achieved complete study.

Abstract

This research aims to describe: (1) background implemented quality management system ISO 9001: 2000 in SMK, (2) the process of implementing a quality management system implementation in vocational school, (3) SMK’s efforts to maintain the certificate, (4) the impact of the arise after the implementation of quality management system of institutions (5) conditions after the implementation of quality culture. This study uses a phenomenological qualitative approach with multi-case study design. Katus used in this study is SMKN 2 Surakarta, SMK Pangudi Luhur Leonardo Klaten, and SMK Muhammadiyah I Sukoharjo. Conclusions of this study is the background of the third implementation of ISO 9001:2000 SMK studied had variation, several reasons have similarities and differences. These reasons is a form of desire or top management ideals. Equation of the implementation process has the steps of the same subject. The main difference in the different policy on sertificator institution (third party). SMK implementation process is an attempt to implement a plan that has been the focus of the discipline established with the help of institutions by implementing PDCA sertificator (Plant Do Chek Act). This is the third that SMK implement the ISO quality management system can implement sustainable development (continuous improvement). The third effort in maintaining a studied SMK ISO 9001:2000 certification that has been gained has much in common. Basically an attempt to maintain the ISO certificate in vocational school is to always try to keep his “promise” SMK in ISO quality documents, carry out continuous improvement and implementation of surveillance activities of the institution periodically sertificator ISO. Impacts arising from the implementation of ISO 9001:2000 to the three SMK has positive and negative impacts. While developing a quality culture in all three studied SMK is still in a state of being.

Abstract

The problem of employment in Indonesia is currently facing is the large number of educated unemployment. Educational commitment to tackle unemployment by increasing education, activities and promote entrepreneurship education. Role in motivating college students to become young entrepreneurs are very important, so it can deliver graduates who are prepared to become entrepreneurs. Based on the results of early reflections in the department of PMP-Kn can be identified that the entrepreneurial skills of students is still low. Further issues that need and quickly solved is how to improve the entrepreneurial skills of students majoring in PMP-Kn FIS Unesa? To solve the problem then alternative action chosen is a real practical training effort, including business plans, implement activities and make reports. Based on this phenomenon it is necessary and important to do research class action, so the problem can be formulated in this research: Whether through training can improve the entrepreneurial skills of students majoring in PMP-Kn FIS Unesa? Research purposes to improve the entrepreneurial skills of students majoring in PMP-Kn FIS Unesa through training. Plans and procedures of research include: (1) preparation, (2) implementation and analysis of actions, including: (a) implementation of the action, (b) monitoring, and (c) analysis and reflection. Based on the results of research and discussion can be concluded that training is the proper way to train students so that the actual business practices through training to enhance entrepreneurial skills.

Abstract

This article showed that the meaning of teacher competence is diverse. First, the competence of teachers should be interpreted as a process towards the professionalism of teachers so that the achievement of competence is not directly achieved. Second, the criteria of teacher competence should be reviewed, especially the burden of teaching 24 credits. Third, teacher competence is not positively correlated to the improvement of education quality in Indonesia because there is a trend increase in teachers incomes are not necessarily used for teacher professional development but tend to personal needs which result in a consumptive lifestyle. The existence of dealers motorcycles/cars, supermarkets/malls, and advertising of certain products which are spread in the city of Surakarta became a significant factor shift in lifestyle of a teacher.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve students skills in solving story matter on the comparison application through stages of thinking sequence and to minimize students difficulties in solving story matter on the comparison application of in Junior High School. The subjects in this study were students in VII-E grade of SMP State 20th of Surakarta in academic year 2010/2011, which comprised 34 students with details of 16 male and 18 female students. The experiment was conducted with a class action approach is divided into three cycles, and the learning process takes place in late of September to mid of October 2011. The results showed that by applying heuristic learning strategies, students can solve story matter in comparison application with good and right, as indicated by the quiz in the end of grades as follows: value of 100 (2,94%), value of 90-99 (5,88 %), value of 80-89 (29,41%), value of 70-79 (8,82%), value of 60-69 (47,06%) and only 5,88% of students who scored below 60.
