Abstract

The most recent development of digital technology is rapidly growing having a strong impact in daily activities. Automation is a trend in society to make those activities become easier. Moreover, efficiency has played the main role in the automation concept. For example, when making a drink which requires to accurately mix all required ingredients, like sugar, tea, and also coffee, the process may take time. Meanwhile, other more important processes have waited to be carried out. The idea of fasten up these activities may be preferable, exemplified by making an automatic drink maker machine. Moreover, coffee has been popular drink fancied by most people on the society. Hence, due to the high load of the people‚??s activity, everything is required to be instant and efficient. According to this trend, to provide an efficient, easy, and good management, we need to create an automatic, fast, and accurate system control which can be implemented by using Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human-Machine Interface (HMI). Meanwhile, in this research, Omron PLC and HMI are utilized to build an automatic drink maker device of Vietnamese Drip Coffee designed to resolve the society‚??s needs of coffee with higher efficiency of serving process. The automatic coffee maker device of Vietnamese Drip Coffee based on PLC and HMI is a device designed to simplify the making process of Vietnamese Drip Coffee in hot condition. This device can be operated by only touching/tapping on its coffee menu choices. The design of this device has the main purpose to operate and test the control system based on PLC and HMI to control and monitoring the automatic process of producing Vietnamese Drip Coffee started from choosing the coffee types until mixing process.

Abstract

This research combines static and behavior analysis to detect malwares on Android system. The analysis process was completed by implementing analysis process on a malware-infected application running on an Android device. The analysis process was implemented based on specific stages, started from implementing behavior analysis on a malware-infected application running on Android device. Moreover, this behavior analysis ran the application on an Android emulator; afterwards, the file processing running on Android would be analyzed using the tool designed on this research to determine whether or not the executed application has been infected by malware. By utilizing behavior analysis, this research aimed to construct LiME kernel module being able to be executed on Android to collect data running on Android memory. This collected data would be analyzed further using volatility as data scanning. The second analysis utilized static analysis by checking the application on android system before running. During the static analysis, the application extraction was executed to generate some files to be analyzed to verify malware infection.

Abstract

There are so many public facilities (FasUm) and social facilities (FaSos) spreading all over the city. So that, many people do not know how to find and reach the location. Therefore, a mobile application becomes necessary to help solving problems in introducing and informing the location of those important facilities; thus, discovering and locating them can be simplified. This study aims to develop an android application providing information of public and social facilities. The application was built utilizing Google‚??s features consisting of Google Sign In, Google Places API, Google Custom Search Engine, and Google Map. The application was developed in several steps; requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The application provides information, routes, related news, and location markers of public and social facilities from the app contributor and Google Services. The developed application has been compared with Google Map application. The result shows that it provides some features which are better than the existing app.¬†

Abstract

In this paper, effects of process variations in a HCMOS (High-Speed Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) IC (Integrated Circuit) are examined using a Monte Carlo SPICE (Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis) simulation. The variations of the IC are L and VTO variations. An evaluation method is used to evaluate the effects of the variations by modeling it using a normal (Gaussian) distribution. The simulation results show that the IC may be detected as a defective IC caused by the variations based on large supply currents flow to it.

Abstract

Object detection based on digital image processing on vehicles is very important for establishing monitoring system or as alternative method to collect statistic data to make efficient traffic engineering decision. A vehicle counter program based on traffic video feed for specific type of vehicle using Haar Cascade Classifier was made as the output of this research. Firstly, Haar-like feature was used to present visual shape of vehicle, and AdaBoost machine learning algorithm was also employed to make a strong classifier by combining specific classifier into a cascade filter to quickly remove background regions of an image. At the testing section, the output was tested over 8 realistic video data and achieved high accuracy. The result was set 1 as the biggest value for recall and precision, 0.986 as the average value for recall and 0.978 as the average value for precision.

Abstract

Software development process highly relates to analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation processes. Testing process becomes imperative process to maintain a quality product running well. Testing process can be conducted both for structural and object-oriented software. However, the method utilized for structural and object-oriented software is significantly different. Testing structural program can utilize White Box, Black Box, or Gray testing methods. This study White Box Testing has been employed to test a simple application. The testing process using White Box Testing employs some testing techniques based on path testing consisting of some processes, namely testing independent path, developing flow graph, calculating cyclomatic complexity, and developing graph matrices. Hence, the testing process employing White Box method with basis path testing technique can be executed.

Abstract

One of diabetic complications is vision disturbance known as Diabetic Retinopathy (DR). Early detection becomes vital to prevent the development of DR by routine examination of the patients eyes. This study developed a software application that can automatically segment the image of the eye retina, expected to assist eye specialists in performing DR detection using computer aids. The system implementation uses Visual C# 2010 software with 36 retinal images of the Drishti-GS1 dataset. The clinical features of the retina that can be used to detect DR are microaneurysms, hard and soft exudates, hemorrhages, neovascularization, and macular edema. Optic Disc (OD) segmentation is an important step to detect these features. This study aimed to detect OD using red channel, inversion, contrast enhancement, median filtering, and thresholding. The final result of the OD segmentation was validated by measuring the positive predictive value (PPV). The result of PPV for the detection of OD to ground truth image reached 90.924%.

Abstract

Bandwidth management in an institution becomes a fundamental need that must be managed properly. The continuous increase in the number of user, data and hardware technologies result in unequal distribution and bandwidth absorption. The increasingly diverse needs of the users in the virtual world require refined setting of bandwidth scheme. If bandwidth is not set properly, bandwidth can be accessed by multiple users. Institutions engaged in education consist of several parties such as employees, teachers and students (called student body). Queue implementation is a technique of dividing bandwidth according to the proportional needs of its users; moreover, this technique is able to work flexibly to organize and allocate bandwidth to end users. The ease of adding and reducing the amount of bandwidth becomes its main feature. The concept of campus network adopted from a Cisco fundamental system can serve as one model that can optimize the infrastructure and the distribution of bandwidth to end users. The method used in this research is employing direct observation, conducting interviews for problem identification and assigning the Internet service requirement and the availability of hardware and software resources. The optimization of bandwidth management by considering student body becomes the main objective. The implementation of queue on each network allows the distribution of bandwidth conforming the user satisfaction. Based on user satisfaction survey result, the user satisfaction level of Queue Tree implementation reached 59.2%.
