Abstract - - There are many literatures about bussiness organization-system building that use the human resources as determinant to make the competitive advantage. But they don’t disscuss the disposition of people (fitrah manusia) so the role of the human resources haven’t been maximum in achieving the competitive advantage. This paper disscuss the Emotional and Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) as an integration of IQ. EQ and SQ to enhance the quality of hman resources. The human resources are unique and different from the others resources. The ESQ can integrate the intellegence and heart of people (rational, emotional, and spiritual elements) in the building the strong character and personality that based on the sublime human values. Finally, the advance and the success will be achieved through the human resource having good quality, not only intellectually, but the balanced with the high ESQ. With this descriptive analysis of ESQ, we’ll see the problem clearly and the results of this view’ll contribute the important matter to create the competitive advantage through the human resources’ capabilities.
