Abstract

This qualitative research aimed to describe student’s mathematical critical thinking self-efficacy in Socrates Contextual learning. The subject of this research was students of VII E class of SMP Al Kautsar Bandarlampung in academic year of 2014/2015. The sample of this research was chosen by purposive random sampling technique. The data was collected through observation, interview, questionnaire and video during learning process. Based on analysis of data, students have mathematical critical thinking self-efficacy in high category for magnitude dimension and medium for strength and generality dimension in Socrates Contextual learning. Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan self-efficacy berpikir kritis matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII E SMP Al Kautsar Bandarlampung tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Sampel penelitian ini dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling. Data diperoleh hasil observasi, wawancara, angket, dan video selama proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan analisis data, siswa memiliki self-efficacy berpikir kritis matematis yang tinggi pada dimensi magnitude dan self-efficacy berpikir kritis yang tergolong sedang pada dimensi strength dan generality dalam pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis matematis, self-efficacy, Socrates Kontekstual
